Why would they give a Grammy to a real class act such as JB and the Three Kings Blues Band? There's no swearing, B or N words, promotion of booze, drugs, loose sex. The purer and cleaner artistry is the more it isn't awarded. Totally sucks Joe, Mahalia, Jade and Juanita were on fire here and it is really great. Only real people can respect pure artistry seeing and hearing it at a concert like this. I'd strap today's young people to chairs and tell them listen to some real music instead of the cookie cutter garbage you are brain washed with.

He said that he was a guitar player and not much of a singer, and the crowd booed in disapproval of that statement. I will definitely see him again when I get the chance.

its really good, but saying its the " greatest guitar performance of all time" is a bit of an overstatement, for instance BB King at the Regal is amazing, as are hundreds of other shows, you could only make that statement if you've seen every single guitar performance that has ever occurred , if you have, then lucky you 🙂

Spot on. True artistry never gets awarded and it really sucks because this concert is one of the greatest ever recorded. Another favourite of mine is Roy Orbison's "Black and White Night" but for pure energy and sound this is next level in comparison. Roy will still be cherished, but Joe and crew are a wrecking ball of perfection here.

He’s generally not what I’d consider as being very emotive (sorta reminds me of Clapton too), but he’s really into THIS one - and it was contagious. If you watch the movie The Blues Brothers movie. There's a scene where Jake & Elwood end up in Elwood's apt.( Which is right next to the train tracks. Anyway, when Elwood puts a record on, and the song that's playing is this one. THE SAME SONG only somewhat slower for that time period. I was watching the movie and I heard this song, I thought Holy 💩💩, this is the song that Joe plays. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍, thanks Mr. Bonnamossa.

Bonamassa is an absolutely excellent guitarist.... BUT.... It somehow always rings hollow for me. It feels like a Casio keyboard or a drum machine. Perfect, yet missing something. At the other end of the spectrum, I've seen people stumble all over the fretboard and make my eyes well up, or my heart pound. I can't put it into words, but I know it when I hear it.

I totally agree Bro! He's one of the greatest guitarist no doubt, and a super cool dude, but it's like there's no feeling or emotion behind it....just super technical, strategically played notes. I'd sum it up like this.....he's like a solid state amp compared to a vintage tube amp...same notes and music comes from each one, but the tube amp has the soul to go with it!

Eric Clapton's performance of "Further On Up The Road" in "The Last Waltz" used to be my favourite blues guitar RUclips clip. IMHO, I think this surpasses it. Brilliant voices, brass section, drums and of course, JB's truly unbelievable guitar playing. No matter how bad a day I might be having, watching this always picks me up. Thank you, Joe🙏🙏🙏.
