I saw this live. About half the crowd left, this was after the Clapton solo set, close to midnight. Bill Murray was imploring people to not leave, best is yet to come, but they did. This was beyond incredible. What possessed Robert Randolph to do what he did.................maybe he was supposed to, but the whole thing was surreal. BB King told Clapton, Cray and Vaughn that if he had to sit they had to as well. And then they did what they did. Since so many people had left it was easy to maneuver close to the stage, the look on King's face during the song was amazing, it was like he was young again.

It's interesting in these BB King videos where he's playing with a who's-who of other established players, that he doesn't try to ego-maniacally play the "iconic-legend" card, and be the center of attention. Instead, he is always humble and respectful of their talents, and seems genuinely as happy to be on-stage with them, as they are with him.
He was the king haha one of the best. There were alot and still are alot of damn good blues players thankfully. Nothing like this music. Makes you feel everything.
I'll be 80 years old this July 2024. The very first time I heard it, it knocked me off my feet, and all his songs also! These are not just MASTER PIECES, THEY ARE GOLDEN, DIAMONDS PEARLS MASTER PIECES!!!!!!! EVEN THE ANGELS WILL DANCE TO IT!!!!! WILL NEVER BE ANOTHER B.B.K.
Aw man! Bless you sir that you would be 80 in July. My dad will be 80 this year as well, but his birthday is in August. He likes blues and "oldies but goodies" songs and so do I. I'm 44 and they don't make old school music anymore like they used to back in those years.
This is very true, i am 20 years old , i went through my first ever heartbreak, what hurt me the most about everything was that this person was enjoying my pain, and humipiation. That part where BB sings, the thrill is gone ,you gonna be sorry one day, that part eases me, I am living better now, I have found myself again, But this medley really brings peace to the soul
BB would love to hear you say that, but I know how he would react. He would be gracious and thank you humbly. He might tell its not true. BB played with all kinds of people who he might say we're better. Playing the blues isn't about better. It's a language you try and speak, if you're doing it right. Haha. TT2022

This isn't music anymore, this isn't a feeling anymore.. This is life! This performance is so legendary on so many levels. But what's making this so damn good is the total relaxed vibe it gives and how everybody is playing besides mr King.

Same here. I'm 20 and if it wasn't for my dad, I probably wouldn't even know real music like this. Unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to see BB live (while my father did) 😢 but we did go to a Robert Cray concert, and just a week ago we witnessed the greatness of Clapton. Blues is alive and well 🎸

Right on! One of the best blues song ever recorded. To see BB, Eric, Robert and Jimmie play this together live is a treat to the senses!! Robert Randolph at the end is absolutely mind blowing too. It's my birthday today and I can't not stop by and visit this without saying something. If anyone doesn't like this they haven't lived and I feel sad for so many that think today's near garbage for the most part music is close to this honestly. This is real music and artistry!!
By chance I saw BB perform this song in Philadelphia in 1969 with a small gathering of 350 people. Not a soul was unmoved by the beauty of song. How lucky was I?
Remember yesterday is gone forever, tomorrow may never come again. Only today matters, only this moment belongs to you, keep smiling and enjoy every moment of your life. That's life, none of us will ever come out alive anyway. Don't wait any longer, eat delicious things. Go out and enjoy the sun, go swimming, tell the truth you have always kept, be crazy, be good, be weird. There is no time for anything else. Enjoy the present moment and make every moment magical. Live in the moment. Be grateful for the little things life offers you and also to the people around you. Rejoice every moment, and soon will dawn the day when everything will be better. Don't dream, live! Don't apologize, assume! Do not hesitate, go for it! Listen to this song - enjoy.

It's interesting in these BB King videos where he's playing with a who's-who of other established players, that he doesn't try to ego-maniacally play the "iconic-legend" card, and be the center of attention. Instead, he is always humble and respectful of their talents, and seems genuinely as happy to be on-stage with them, as they are with him.
what the?? omg 😲 this is amazing
Well said mate couldn't agree more

Crazy to see the way all these great musicians looked at B.B King, truly a legend. RIP

This song NEVER gets old! When you are living what the song is saying, it means much more to you.
This is very true, i am 20 years old , i went through my first ever heartbreak, what hurt me the most about everything was that this person was enjoying my pain, and humipiation.
That part where BB sings, the thrill is gone ,you gonna be sorry one day, that part eases me,
I am living better now, I have found myself again,
But this medley really brings peace to the soul
that sweet tone on bb kings guitar says it all.
Amen to that im in active addiction to methamphetamine and tbh the thrill I got I got when I first started using is gone

The King was one of the last living blues legends we had left. Undoubtedly one of the greatest musicians ever.
Yes, i agree with you. I miss BB King so much
Still got Buddy Guy. National treasure. TT2022
BB would love to hear you say that, but I know how he would react. He would be gracious and thank you humbly. He might tell its not true. BB played with all kinds of people who he might say we're better. Playing the blues isn't about better. It's a language you try and speak, if you're doing it right. Haha. TT2022
@@timtooker8332 Buddy is touring Spring 2023. I lived most of my life in Chicago and saw him more than a few times. I was at Crossroads 2007 and 2010 and BB puts on a show. All the other guitar gods there watched him in amazement. Buddy was at those too.
Agreed.

EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE WITH ME ABOUT THIS SONG,IT STILL IS ONE OF THE BEST SONGS EVER.

@@squidjaboy9350 manners are subjective too, it was an opinion . No need for rudeness
The remarkable thing about this performance is that all these guys on stage grew up with BB King being their exposure to the blues.
By chance I saw BB perform this song in Philadelphia in 1969 with a small gathering of 350 people. Not a soul was unmoved by the beauty of song. How lucky was I?
Wow!!! Very lucky 👍🏽
The dude on slide absolutely killed it with soooooooooo many legends on that stage. He absolutely shined!
