The thing that a lot of people don't get or understand is just because it's called the blues doesn't mean you have to be in a sad or depressive state to listen to it or play it. Sometimes even the "bluesiest" blues song can be one heckuva pick me up. It's definitely a genre of mood music and the same song you listen to one day to really pick you up may very well be the same song you want to listen to when you're down and out. There's no other music like it in the world!!

Watching B.B King interview,s he tought me so much about life and music.B.B says Lucille saved his life well the King saved mine. Pulled me out of a dark place in my life of deep depression. I've loved the blues for many decades. I came across this one by Daniel Castro and it resonates though and through me. The way he plays and sings this song is so powerful, and every time I hear it, I'm the one he's singing to. I can see myself walking through the door of some little place - a converted house - in a neighborhood in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and as I sit there in the dimly lit room, sipping something refreshing and listening to this song, I feel as though I finally belong.

I am only 5 months practicing and so much to learn, I’ll probably be 90 by the time I am good enough to play well lol (if I live that long, of course I’ll probably be senile by then and it will sound good 😂). Just been learning the basics so far chords, strumming etc. Got myself an acoustic guitar too. Maybe I should just dive into learning some blues🤔

I've loved the blues for many decades. I came across this one by Daniel Castro and it resonates though and through me. The way he plays and sings this song is so powerful, and every time I hear it, I'm the one he's singing to. I can see myself walking through the door of some little place - a converted house - in a neighborhood in Natchitoches, Louisiana, and as I sit there in the dimly lit room, sipping something refreshing and listening to this song, I feel as though I finally belong.
