I saw BB King live before he died. There is a story about his many marriages. His last wife wanted to stay married to him so here is what she did.....she had on her left butt cheek tattooed a B. On her right butt cheek she had another B. That night, she told BB....hey BB....take a look at this as she pulled down her undies.....and he yelled out....who the hell is BOB? I don't know if that was a true story....but it is a good one.
i will never forget when i was 21 i worked at the main act club in Lynn BB came and did A show after the show he said i will have A drink with the staff and he did just that and i meet him that was the best
In general the people in Europe paid less attention to race/color than America did. Heard from jazz cats just like soul cats when they first came to Europe no one cared that they were black. People came for their music. Guys like B.B. King, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy to name some became famous in in the UK before America. Music has always brought people together regardless of race or color.
All these men on stage with Mr. King should be very proud to be on that stage with the king he is still the best god bless you Mr King we all love you and miss you rest well
I love the way Slash held back....he showed great reverence for B.B. King. Instead of making it about Slash, he played complimentary to the King. A true professional.
What I like about Slash is reading an article years and years ago he was asked what would you be doing if Gun's N Roses broke up? He stated if I remember correctly, I would probably just jam with people I liked.
I love how much B.B. King is having fun here. He truly enjoys what he is doing. He isn't there for a paycheck. He plays around with his voice, improvises. Wonderful!
Love how classy slash is with this. You know he’s thinking everyone thinks I’m gonna go hard and fast, so I’m gonna give them the softest slowest riffs. Incredibly badass for being so tasteful.
For sure - a major sign of respect is that he's playing the BB King box which is a blend of the major/minor pentatonic scale that BB invented. Tasty licks Slash
I was lucky to see B.B. King at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival 2013. What a blast. Truly amazing. He played the ass of everyone. What a memory. R.I.P. the King of blues. 😋😋😋
I have been a fan of B.B. and Slash for... at least 30 years and I never knew this happend. SO blown away! Amazing job! Wish I had seen this in person.

BB adored his fan,s, he would stay after the shows most of the time for hour?s and chat with the folks, he was a class act all the way around. I git to see him 2 or 3 times, great shows😊😊
Did anyone else watch this and get anxious out about whether or not everyone would be stepping on each others' toes? That was certainly a full house but miraculously everything had a way of working itself out... credit to all these musicians for knowing not only how to play, but more importantly for knowing when NOT to!!!
Slash and bb have a closer connection then I thought . Me watching this in my younger days I didn’t see it .. now I see, there connection is priceless . Slash put in the right amount of playing every lick
I got to see this legend make all of those faces about twenty years ago. Grew up listening to B.B.,My father introduced him to my mother when she was just sweet fifth teen I was born the week before she turned sweet sixteen.
I have observed that hundreds of these famous & talented musicians have one thing in common when they meet the KING~ they show some real respect - I'm very sure most do cry afterwards 🤞
BB. KING, the King. Love that old guy. Got my first Blues record in the 60's by my dad who was opera singer. Oh yes, my first Beatles record naturally. B B King played a small concert in my hometown library a small Jazz club called Big 25 back in the 60's. We young teenagers had the opportunity to greet and talk to him a little. He was a nice man. We were a 12-14 year old

B.B. King's vibrato with just his pinky is just amazing. Been playing 10 years myself and I have nowhere near that level of pinky control! A true master, RIP, King.
BB King is one of those guitarists with the incredible ability to sqeeze more emotion out of one note, than all the Metal shredders, Country pickers, Jazz Noodlers, and alternative guys put together. He continues to prove time and time again, that you don't need to be the most technical guitarist in the world to become one of it's best known guitarists
Imagine being the people in the audience back in 2011 filming on phones with atrocious audio and mic quality and a screen with exactly 7 pixels rather than living the moment. I'd feel a colossal fool and it would haunt me forever.

How lucky we are to have it now at our fingertips.
That guy with the red guitar is her husband. I first saw him open for Eric Clapton in OKC around 2005 or 2006. He's named after EC's band Derek and the Dominoes. His dad was a professional guitarist.
@@playerbigbob66 From Wikipedia: Derek Trucks (born June 8, 1979) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and founder of the Grammy Award-winning Derek Trucks Band. He's like SERIOUSLY into playing the blues! Gotta love Slash whatever he plays. Second only after Hendrix

Slash is "a new kid" to me. But his class, patience, and reverence for BB was astounding. Well done, sir. It's hard for us to see BB floundering.

Derek Trucks is an absolute gem of a guitar player, best in the game right now
"sure know how to put that soul in that son" bb said to slash. i would melt if he ever told me that
This just shows you that no matter what genre you play and thrive in, everyone knows the good old blues and also knows that B.B King is on top.

BB King knew Slash has some moves and he tried to unlock him. That was so Amazing!!!

Slash is so humble he was unsure whether he was a big enough star to sit next to BB ,and who knew simply red could sing the blues
Blues is what Slash best at when it comes to playing guitar live
I had the privilege of being at this concert - it was amazing!

Didn't think about this initially but just the fact that you are allowed on this stage by BB King must feel so good.
Ronnie Wood, a bad bad idea to bring a slide when you're on the same stage with Derek Trucks. Derek, you're consistently awesome.
I loved BB so much. His vibrato was unlike any other player I've ever heard. The second he started to play you could tell it was him.
