First time I seen John preform in movie blues brothers and since then I will always remember him. Santana in my days was the best guitar player, even I listen to hard rock. So we had many great musicians many past away and many still rocking.

The great Etta James with the best backup band you could imagine... One night at an outdoor concert I found myself right in front of Etta James... the heat and power coming from that stage was unbelievable... she was on fire! Since that night I have felt she was the greatest blues singer ever. RIP, with your heavenly voice.

I saw, heard and was heavily affected by Miss Etta (and Mose the next night) at the Sonoma County fair in 1982. Wow was California on fire in the 80's !

Mr. John Lee Hooker is my favorite blues musician. I love his voice and will always be in his debt to discovering (as well as my high school band teacher who lent me Mr. Hooker records) the wonderful blues music. And btw, he wears sunglasses because he's so cool his gaze would freeze you. ;)

Love watching these old concerts, I used to go to Harpers Ferry Bar in Allston, MA back in the 80s. Lots of great blues, the stage was just 2 feet above the floor, everyone grooved just like in this video.... miss them days
