Led Zeppelin formed in 1968 and went on to become one of the most influential, innovative, and successful groups in modern music, having sold more than 300 million albums worldwide. The band rose from the ashes of The Yardbirds, when Jimmy Page brought in John Bonham, John Paul Jones, and Robert Plant to tour as The New Yardbirds. In 1969, Led Zeppelin released its self-titled debut which was produced by Page, as were all the subsequent albums. It marked the beginning of a 12-year reign, during which the group was widely considered to be the biggest and most innovative rock band in the world. - Видеоклипы
John Paul Jones, the unsung legend and backbone of Led Zeppelin! 🔥
Never received enough appreciation, but truly is the backbone of it all... Not an easy task that many can do!
I was just going to mention his 'Presence'
He’s lovely. In interviews his dry sense of humor is just amazing!!!
He's carrying this song.
Jonesy!
It's no wonder why so many modern day bands struggle. The bar was just set so high...
So true. I was a teenager in the 70's and I feel luck to have experienced Led Zeppelin in my formative years. I truly believe that Rock and Roll bands will never be this awesomely inspiring ever again. The entire music world is more about business and less about talent. Sad but true.
Let's see arseholes like Beiber try to come up with something this good!

"The entire music world is more about business and less about talent."
Yeah, because consumers buy music because they like a specific _song_, why should anybody bother thinking about the required talent behind it when it is completely irrelevant to the listening pleasure?
+LouReu I am in the same situation as you. :(
i reckon that
This is possibly the best version ever recorded of Kashmir (IMO). So heavy!
I agree ❤🇸🇪
Not the drums. In the original version, John Bonham is slightly and intentionally a bit more off compared to the guitar, like an echo but not a reflection. Of course, as you said, it is your opinion.
This is by far the best version of Kashmir ever played. Sounds so incredibly good.
Plants voice was amazing for his age in this performance.

Wherever John Bonham is, he would be proud to see that his son Jason is playing drums with his uncles, Robert, Jimmy and John Paul. Thanks John for being the best drummer of rock and music.
Perhaps his greatest competitor for the title Greatest Drummer in rock, Neil Peart of Rush, died this day. What a loss both of them are.
Dude, he fucking nailed it, and then some.

Page, intoxicated with every note and chord he plays. Nothing wasted, at one with his guitar, the band, the performance. Kashmir, the ultimate song of reprisals. JPJ the maestro, Bonham’s frenzy of fills, and Plant’s crooning there will never be a better performer to lead a rock band.
💯
The timing and overall production is staggering.
Possibly the best live version I have ever seen. Jason does his dad proud on the drums. Everything is so damn tight, simply amazing
Agree. I've always thought Plant is a little flat in the Knebworth version. Blasphemy, I know, but here he's way "sharper" :)

When I was nine years old my dad and uncle took me to see Jimmy, Paige and Robert Plant on the no Courter tour in Kansas City. I had been listening to Zeppelin since I was a child so I knew all the lyrics to every song they played. They played Kashmir with the Kansas City Orchestra in the background, and it was, absolutely amazing. I will never forget that night for the rest of my life.

Robert plant stopped doing drugs a long time ago that is why his voice still sounds magnificent. He said in an interview he needed to stop because it was hurting his voice. I'm glad he did not just because of just keeping his voice. But because I care about him as a person. I'm glad he has lived as long as he has.

Ray DeSantis

BesorgterSimsSpieler yeah echo, so what
Ray DeSantis ur so right
Best this song ever played
Ray DeSantis He sounds pretty decent on Kashmir, but most songs he can no longer sing in the original key and are a tuned down (some songs it works for but others lose their mojo). Heck, by 1973 he could no longer hit the high notes on most nights for Stairway, Rock and Roll, Black Dog, Immigrant Song, Over The Hills etc. No warm ups, constant touring, smoking and drugs all killed his top range. I think the no warm ups was the worst, as it may be why he had nodes on his vocal chords. Smoking usually seems to be more gradual in it's damage.
There's a grandeur to Zep that no other band can match. Amazing ❤
Maybe Pink Floyd comes close
Zeppelin and Floyds, the Gods of rock and roll
Jason never missed a beat taking his father's place. The man is outstanding. He's the backwall. He doesnt just keep time, he's not a clubber, he fills in all the right places. He is a standout in this version!

...and, as you can see: it's hard work to do!! I can see all of them doing their work for us, four in their own manner... no matter what you do, it's ok - as long as you're not only holding a bible into a camera...
These guys weren’t just a band ,they were all real musicians that’s why it sounds so good !
The best very best of musicians
Holy mother of God.
The guitar, the drums, and those vocals.
Some bands do not translate well performing live, but this is perfection.
Simply sublime.
Plant shows why he has the best voice in rock and roll.
True! I have seen him twice...amazing!!!!
Trying to pull up try to pull up full albums utube giving me bad time
Darren A he has like 10 different voices
second best behind Paul Rodgers (vocalist of Free and Bad Company)
MY VERSION OF BLACK RUclips... ERIC HORVITZ BLACK
Goosebumps seeing Jason on drums sharing this moment in honour of his father John.
Yes!!!
Oh yes! 🖤
Uh,…
There was only one drummer and that was John Bonham, his son is just like him
He did a hell of of a good job too.
Robert Plant's voice is incredible in this performance...almost 60 years old at that concert...
Like a fine wine 🍷 improves and is enriched with time.
Even after 50 years, I can say this ; my all time favorite group and song! At 73 y/o, it still gives me a high and takes me back to the 70's.
Amazing song! I discovered it only this year and, I am pretty sure, it will give me a high when I'm 73 y/o (if I'm lucky to live that long).
The greatest rock band ever!
I agree saw them in 75 as well. In Seattle I was 17😂🎉 there the best. ❤
I hope you saw them live in those 50 years! All my greats are dead before I got a chance to see em Live.
I saw them in 77. Pontiac Michigan.
One of the best live performances of this song I've seen. Jason Bonham is so amazing you can almost feel the spirit of his Dad in his most excellent drumming.
Amazing, indeed!
Yea this is great music that will probably never be matched. It's unfortunate that these great entertainers are old men now and will soon be leaving us. Enjoy everthing and everybody.
Good gosh a mighty what a performance
You will never hear lyrics much less music like this ever again!!!
His father is with him, always. 🙂
There has never been and never will be a better band.
The best of the best. Pure.
The unquestionably greatest rock band of all time I'm 65 and they still give me chills
I love to think that since they were and still are The Gods of Rock that their voices were preserved in their older age just so they can continue to show the musicians and bands of today and tomorrow how real music is supposed to sound like. Long live The Gods Of Rock Led Zeppelin the original OGs of rock
Amen
They really are.
65 here too
Wow, you were still probably in High School (junior/senior) when ‘Physical Graffiti’ was released… great era for music!😏
There just isn't enough applause in the world that can pay back a performance like this.
Best band's bests song's best live
@@JesseJames-no7ik there best song is stairway to heaven
Robert Plant says their best song is Kashmir.
@@christophermobley187 He is right ,sure
@@noahsmith3943 Ten Years Gone and Kashmir are better...
Whatever power Mr Plant lost by 65 he made up for 1000 fold with unreal control and ability to channel the power he did have with the epitome of professional precision. Add in all of the extra lilt, accentuating, vibrato and eastern bends and you have a Grand Master at work. And oh, did I mention John Paul Jones, Jimmy Page and Jason - the son of the late great John Bonham were crushing it too? Wow…
Absolutely astonishing performance. Each individual at the top of their game.
2:23- There is no other person on Planet Earth that can deliver that vocal moment better than Robert Plant. Goosebumps!
I teared up the 1st time I saw that part, years ago. I was just in AWE, that after all that time, he could still pull it off. Plus, his face was like, so...DETERMINED. Like, "I am NOT gonna fuck this up!"-type thing. Fucking GLORIOUS.
I like Zep a lot but not my favorite all time by any means. That said this is the single best ever live performance of a song!! This is an experience!! Robert Plant is a rock star and the band is good. Not a huge catalog of great tunes IMO.
It’s why he declined to tour in later years. He knew his vocal chords couldn’t survive it and he demands perfection as demonstrated here. Goosebumps indeed!
SIMPLY AMAZING VOCALS for a 63yr old. Plant=LEGEND
@@MichaelMitchell-eo6cb that comment really slapped me in the face, what the fuck do you mean not a huge catalog of great tunes, you must be tone deft or something. do you think they sold 250 to 300 million albums for no good reason. what an idiot
There are many rock bands who enjoy a faithful fan bass for decades. Then there's Led Zeppelin with billions of fans that haven't even been born yet.
Brilliant!
Timeless 👏🙏
As a boomer kid who saw Led Zep live in 1977, I agree with this statement.
It's funny my 6 year old son pointed to a poster I have of led zeppelin and asked "what it led zeppelin?" I said "one of your future favorite bands" lol he seemed confused, but one day it will all make sense
And in this song's live version there's no bass :^P
I grew up with the best music in the world !
Seen this many times never commented but man is that perfect!
thank GOD for Jason Bonham...... his Dad came back in him.....
I read that he was technically proficient on the drums at 5 years old. Amazing.
No....he came forward for his dad...
