I kinda liked the rides with screens at Universal parks, it makes me feel like they are cinematic as if I was put in a film. I don’t respond to people who give screen-based rides bad reviews. It makes me think they all just lie.
I nearly spit my morning coffee out when I heard them say “There’s no screens only physical sets”
Ladies and gentlemen of the class of 2024. No matter what anyone tells you, there are NO SCREENS...on the mine cart ride. None.
The only thing that would’ve been more shocking would be if this was the reveal trailer for waluigi for smash
That was expected. Unfortunately will not be the case for other rides like Ministry of Magic or the Frankenstein ride.
@@FlyRick78 don’t be so sure at least for monsters. There’s definitely not going to be the rotating dome screens like on forbidden journey even though it’s the same ride system. The layout wouldn’t allow it so I’d bet it would be very minimal screen use.

They made whole land for DK despite Nintendo not making a new DK game since Tropical Freeze.

Yup they announced it a bit back. They did not exactly showed any concept art but just talked about it. In Japan they had Pokémon parades at their universal from time to time.

It better not be last. I was hoping that this reveal would be Dark Universe since that’s how it was set up in the big announcement video. Although, I do think it makes sense to get Super Nintendo World out of the way since we know practically everything about it.
@@CobbleBompster I think Dark Universe will be last. It makes sense. Mosnters are Universal's identity. And they know fans have been disappointed recently with the available options. I think it's going to be a big, beautiful redemption move on their part and as such, saving the best for last.
They’ve done Celestial Park, HTTYD, and now Mario. Next is probably Harry Potter and last is Classic Monsters.
I believe HP will be last. Wizarding World is the reason Universal is where it is today after all. Plus the Ministry Ride is the most technological attraction at the park apparently!
35 years old and this day I will feel like a child again, I cannot wait! Loved playing SNES growing up and Nintendo 64. Great times!

If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on RUclips and a RUclips channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and *he will.*

But it will be the best in Florida by far, and likely the best in America. I doubt it can be the best in the world though. Just saying, being the best theme park in America is nothing to sneeze at

Next time we're down in Orlando with our kids, we're prioritizing this place over Disney. This is coming from a lifelong Disney fan. Disney had better be worried, this place is going to be amazing!
Even without this new park, Universal / Islands of adventure is better than Disney. Disney has done upgrades, added hotels, but the park itself is too novelty and less thrill / action.

@@datapusher- To be honest that is why I prefer Disney. I am not a big thrill ride person, and one coaster will wipe me out for the day, so Universal's line up of rides is less compelling to me
I never thought such a simple announcement could make me cry, but it did haha. Yeah this is my childhood. I am a child of the 80s, I remember playing Atari, and then BOOM here comes the NES, every kid I knew wanted this console. You don't really see that these days. It was something you had to experience just how big it was at the time. I still remember when my brother and I got the NES for Christmas in 90. I was already thinking of going to Universal, but when I heard about this park, I knew I had to wait. And more importantly, I want to experience this land with my brother because it was something we bonded over.
I was teary eyed too!

I just turned 48 and I’m pumped! The NES was a game changer and I still play it fairly often. Can’t wait to get to the park next year.
We grew up, we have kids and money now. They knew what they were building. As much as this park would've blown our minds 20-30 years ago, our parents wouldn't have felt the same connection. They timed the creation of this park perfectly.
I'm an 80s kid too. My brother and I also got the NES for Christmas around '90. It blew our minds, but after that we switched to Sega Genesis. The appeal of Sonic was too powerful lol.
It was definitely a bonding experience for us because consoles were so exciting back then, and we would save our money from doing chores, paper routes etc to buy games together.
This looks awesome but it left me asking: where's Link?

@tdexplorer, I’m so excited too and I’m hoping to go there next year and spend a week in Super Nintendo World for vacation, for now I have to wait until we have enough money to go there

Donkey Kong Country 1 and 2 are my favorite video games. The fact that there’s a theme park designed after it, makes my 5 year old and 32 year old self so hyped.
Man.. those express passes are going to be an arm and a leg 😂
You can bet I'm getting them the first few times I'm there, no shot you'll be able to do more than 2-3 rides for the day otherwise haha
They better be expensive. We don't need the express lines to get overstuffed like they do at Disney

They currently don't offer Universal Express for Bowser's Challenge in California, so I am guessing this will be the same. The pass works for every other ride in the park, except for Bowser's. You basically have to pay for early entry if you want to wait under 30 mins.

Agreed I think it's going to be a sleeper hit and better than Matio Kart. I like Mario Kart, but I think the AR and slow speed didn't live up to the potential of a Mario Kart ride.

@@dannielz6 You're free to think that, but I think it has it's own charm! It's basically Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters except a thousand times cooler with way more stuff going on, the chaos that unfolds very much matches the chaos of Mario Kart, and considering that the Hollywood park has been insanely successful with just that one ride, I'm clearly not the only one who thinks this!

Japan is getting dk too, both rides were designed at the same time years ago and are now being implemented
@@kamichan127 same rides and theme but my understanding is the one at epic will not be as compact because they had to work with a smaller footprint in japan. More room in Epic which I am sure they will need with all the people going there
Now that they added the yoshi ride, I can finally hear what toadette was saying in English.
Part of me wishes i was still 10 years old, so i could plead with my mom to go here, then i would proceed to have the greatest moment of my entire childhood.

Just got back from Universal Hollywood and nearly cried with joy. The area is tiny there but amazing. The theming is so well done.

After 14 years of being a fan of Mario (named after my dad) this is my imagination come to life and I think universal is reading my mind about that thanks universal you’ve been my favorite park since 2015 (my 11th birthday)

This is a literal dream come true for me because Donkey Kong is my favorite fictional character! I’m gonna be able to experience his world!
Hopefully we get more lands based on legend of Zelda, pokemon, Kirby, Metroid, animal crossing, smash bros, etc
Pokémon and Zelda already seem likely for the other parks in Orlando, but I'd give anything for Splatoon to get into Epic Universe as well!

I’m a lifelong Nintendo fan and my son has become obsessed with Mario. We were trying to find a way to afford a Japan trip to visit the Universal there to get the Mario experience. Visiting the one in California is straight up not an option. So this is a fantastic development for me and my Family.
I'm glad super nintendo world is expanding. I went to the park in LA late last summer and while it was an amazing spectacle, it really did not have much to do. The Donkey Kong coaster looks amazing. I'd love to see a virtual coaster sort of like the Simpsons ride made with a Metroid or Star Fox theme someday.

Agreed, I'm hoping they'll eventually turn IOA's largely ignored and practically abandoned Lost Continent into Hyrule, I mean after all when it's last actual attraction, Poseidon's Fury closed last year the Lost Continent has literally nothing exciting to offer anymore except for a restaurant and a bunch of souvenir shops and snack stands, which is why I'm waiting in eager anticipation for that announcement from Universal that they're finally going to turn Lost Continent into the Legend of Zelda land of Hyrule.

You guys definitely stayed true to the source material. Not like Disney world where those idiots ruined Star Wars and disrespected the legacy.
Primarily because this is a clone of Osaka's, which was created in direct collaboration with Nintendo themselves (their main headquarters are in Kyoto, with Universal Japan being the closest major theme park to collaborate with). They stayed true to the source material because Nintendo themselves were directly involved in the creative process of developing the land, and had the final say on creative decisions.
Prayers have been answered! Finally on the east coast!!
The new attraction can be constructed to be called Princess Peach: Showtime! Land nearby Donkey Kong Country. The rides and areas will be Princess Peach: Showtime! Sparkle Adventure with the gift shop at the exit called Princess Peach’s Sparkle Emporium, Patisserie Peach’s Cafe, Cowgirl Peach’s Trading Post, Detective Clue Museum, Snow Village Bumper Tubes, Mighty Peach Super Flight Coaster and Kung Fu Peach’s Noodle House.
We’ve got a little bit too much Mario, I think some Zelda and Pikmin and Metroid would be nice

Not really. Or should I say, not yet. Their current offerings aren't great compared to Disney, though they've got a good edge in Florida. But Epic Universe will make them the prime destination in Florida, but ONLY Florida.
Disneyland > Universal Hollywood
Tokyo Disney > Universal Japan
Universal may be better at movies, but Disney is better at disneyland.
But either way, im going to this place eventually, one way or another. And also, i like orlando.

We still need more areas based on other Nintendo franchises like Zelda, Kirby, Pokémon and Splatoon, it's supposed to be Super Nintendo World, not Super Mario World.

I think the reason they called it that is so not to confused people with the games since we already have a World and Land along with the fact that the areas are based on scenes from the movie. I do agree that should be series representation.

Bruh I been to Universal Japan’s Super Nintendo world and seeing the area around it Made me think “this is a good area, I hope Florida gets one of these soon.” And seeing the construction for epic universe and finding out Super Nintendo world’s gonna be there got me through the roof.
AND WE’RE ALSO GETTING THE DK EXPANSION LIKE JAPAN’S GETTING AS WELL! So excited for this to open😄🙌🏻🔥
Florida's construction timeline meant they could open with the expansion, rather than saving it for later (since Japan would be opening that expansion around the same time anyway).
Don't know about anyone else here, but I've been craving to ride a Donkey Kong Country minecart level all my life. So intense and insane railway hijinx, it just seems like it was the perfect roller coaster choice. I also like how they're pulling off the track jumping effect. Wouldn't be a DKC minecart if it didn't jump the track.
