We are Brian & Jessica, a married couple who started on a life-changing whole food, plant-based weight loss journey back in June 2018. In June 2022, our lives were flipped upside-down when Jessica was diagnosed with Stage 3 (possibly 4) ovarian cancer. We continue to share our adventures (highs, lows, struggles & everything in between) in following a plant-based diet while keeping you up-to-date on Jessica's cancer treatment.

Jessica! I don’t know if you remember but I’m the navigator who talked with you about fertility before you started treatment. I don’t get to see the inside life of my patients life like EVER!! So this is so special to me to see you creating your legacy as you bravely head into your survivorship!!! I’m so very excited for you and your new life!! -Gina

I'm so touched that you are naming your little girl after your grandma! I read something recently that we die twice. Once when they bury us and the 2nd time is the last time someone mentions your name. I was recently told that my next great granddaughter is going to be named after me and I can't tell you how awesome it is that my name will be spoken long after I'm gone!❤

I went from laughing out loud at Brian’s “Krock-sickle” joke, to tears of joy over the photo of you and your cousin!!! You are so blessed and yes, this was the Lord’s gift, Brian!! I’m amazed and thrilled for you. Tess is amazing and what a joyous time this is for you all, after the nightmares you have gone through. Praying for your 6 month, and praying for little Elsie!
Aww, this is amazing news! Congrats. It's the year of cancer survivor babies (Eamon and Bec recently announced a post cancer baby too). Have a great pregnancy to your cousin, Tess. A truly wonderful person in your life.

❤❤❤ Congratulations!! You must be absolutely over the moon! On a more serious note, I was a surrogate for my sister many years ago. In fact, at that time, surrogacy couldn't be legally done in Canada so I traveled to NY state to carry out the procedure. If Tess is anything like me, she isn't looking for a thank-you. For me, this was a way I could express my love for my sister by helping her with something she and her husband could not do any other way. I'm certain that the horrors of your journey this past year weighed deeply on your cousin's Tess' heart. She wasn't able to make any of the terrors of your cancer treatment and journey go away but, she knew she could do this to help make your dreams of a sweet baby a reality. Tess obviously loves both of you dearly! I know this was the very reason I approached my sister about doing the same thing for her and her husband. It's wonderful to know you have such a wonderful cousin to share your lives with. We are all praying for sweet Elsie Clara and your upcoming scan! 🙏🙏 I'm so excited for you all! Interesting fact- my due date for my sister's son was October 20th too!! But he knew how excited everyone was to meet him so he arrived on October 6th! We'll be excited to find out what Elsie Clara has planned for you!! 🎉🎉

I was also really close to offering the same thing to my sister when she was having a really hard time conceiving. It took her and her husband 10 years to get pregnant!! They had a beautiful baby girl!! I would have carried a baby for her if she hadn't been able to have one!! You did such an amazing thing for your sister💖💖💖
God is absolutely all over this Brian and Jessica and Elsie Clara - leave illness behind and strain forwards towards the mighty amazing future God has for you all. You are a complete inspiration and the most wonderful couple. You are loved and prayed for and God will show you His Grace in abundance.

That's not how that works. Elsie has 2 parents and a cousin who incubated her. Tess isn't her mom. Jessica is her mom.
@@krystlepoulin6382 you don't need to explain it to me i do understand how this works. We all understand Tess is not the biological mother well 57 of us understood what i meant. Elsie is their ray of sunshine after a very long storm. She was made from love and carried with love.
