See Ep 1 Here: • Piers Morgan Interview...
Piers travels to Gatesville, Texas, to meet Erin Caffey who, at the age of 16, masterminded the brutal murder of her entire family. For this incomprehensible act, Erin will remain behind bars until she is almost 60 years old. Piers learns from Erin what made a typical teenage girl conspire with her boyfriend to kill her mum, dad and two younger brothers. Afterwards, Piers drives to rural East Texas to meet the one survivor of the tragedy: Erin's father Terry, who has made the choice to forgive.

The media needs to stop giving this girl attention.

She is the epitome of a psychopath. She literally has no emotions of guilt or sorrow. She doesn't FEEL.
Bingo!
Yes. She’s EXTREMELY dangerous. I know some people might be fooled by her innocent seeming demeanor, but it’s just a mask. Inside is a remorseless monster. No empathy.

Exactly right.
Keep her locked up. Throw away the key.
There are government officials who are just as devoid of remorse or empathy, whose choices impact millions.
Here is the key: when asked how she feels, she shifts to how she thinks. She moves into cognitive Empathy rather than emotional empathy because she doesn’t have it. When you know you know.
Wow..this comment has not only described this woman but has made me realise this is exactly what my ex had. I thought he was empathetic but it was so surface level and never genuine or deep. I thought I was too sensitive or expected too much but this just makes so much sense now. Thank you 💖
@@WhereTheWavesAt some people are more sensitive than others, especially men are not easily moved so don't be quick to judge
@@WhereTheWavesAt it’s definitely a sign that somebody lacks emotional empathy because they don’t know how to respond to emotions with emotions. Therefore they go into trying to cognitively understand it. It’s definitely a red flag. If somebody is not meeting your emotions with their emotions, and if somebody is trying to cognitively respond when the issue is at the level of emotion, and response feels bad, you should go talk to a therapist about it… Better yet see if your partner can get tested to see if they have a mood disorder.

i dont think there is psycopathy involved in here, in my opinion is more a rancor driven crime, sociopathy if you may.
33:34 That question from Piers is very shrewd. The way she answers it, it doesn't seem like a big deal for her, but when Piers says "this knowledge must be a terrible burden for you", she doesn't know how to answer because she had not considered it. Then she tears up to mimic what she thinks normal people would do. That's the mark of a psychopath, right there. Well done Piers.

How the father of this family is able to calmly discuss this tragedy is remarkable
I suspect those many months in the trailer where his house once stood contained enough grief for a lifetime. After surviving that, he developed the ability to speak about the tragic incident calmly. The grief and tears were there, though we don't witness them.

Because in his mind, he has not only feelings of grief, but also confusion, guilt that he wasn't able to stop it etc., that contradict each other. He also knows he is a strong man, but failed to prevent this, and that's the point that he breaks down. About the fact that he says he forgives them, I think this is more part of the American culture, including influences he had from psychologists and probably religious figures. There are many instances of parents who forgive their children's killers, and even that's a more complicated psychological process, but many other cultures can't even comprehend

When he asks her if she feels guilty for what the boyfriends family is going through, had she not pushed him into all of this, her reply, "I never really thought about that." - She's been in for 8 years (I think?) and hasn't "thought" about that? Because maybe for her - it’s that the only thing she did wrong - and she can’t admit it was wrong - is that she loved her father. Maybe He didn’t want her to date anyone. But he made it seem like it was her mother who was the problem for her. Maybe He didn’t want his wife and other kids to live. Maybe he manipulated her through love bombing into all of this for him. And she’s covering him. That’s why she’s not admitting. And to her, she.s not liking. Because it was him not her. And she still loves him. She opened a door somewhere to evil.
Genes maybe, or she's just a monster for the amusement
I guess it is a bad mutation, affecting the brain. I think most psychopaths are born that way.
She made a series of bad choices early in life. Take a look at both of her boyfriends. They were "bad boys" with one or both of them being from broken homes. Her parents could clearly see that they weren't good people and broke them up. She loved her boyfriends deeply (or so she thought) and was tired of her parents interfering with her relationships. Love is very powerful, especially when you are young with your first relationship or two. Her boyfriend convinced her to continue the relationship despite her parent's objections. They could only see one way to make that happen and you know the rest of the story. Very sad, very evil, and very tragic!
Could be born pathological. There's 1-4% of the world who are psychopaths and we would never know bc they hide it so well.

@@seanstipsky9473 Whilst what she did was indeed monstrous, it was still an undeveloped mind at the time, suggesting that she's still "processing" isn't entirely unrealistic, there definitely would be trauma involved from her own PTSD there / protective barrier she's installed for herself. People are wayyyyy too trusting. She killed her entier family and yet people actually listen to a word she has to say as though it could be something that isn't a lie or manipulation. Americans are too into the whole under-dog / anti-hero trope. Probably something that losers love to eat up.
@@dustywoood Fortunately, that doesn't matter much regarding this case. I'm not denying that it may be true, however, if we're going to take that into consideration, then it needs to be done across the board. Otherwise, it's just a convenient excuse. If people under 26 can't be trusted to make sound decisions, then maybe we should change the age of legal adulthood to 26, or make it illegal to get married or have children under the age of 26.
@@1w598Right. And in this case, she actually is 26 when sitting there being interviewed, yet she still cannot explain or express what really happened...She most likely never will, she's a psychopath. His daughter is EVIL for the simple fact that she's still pretending to be a sweet, innocent girl. There's no remorse as she hasn't owned up to the truth.

I was a 16 year old girl manipulated by a boy in a possessive relationship. I'd never do what she did but I understand the rush of emotions at that hormonal age...having your parents try to control you when you "think" all you want is him. To be married to this person and be with them forever. Her Dad obviously saw the personality flaws in this boy and tried to make the best decision he could for his daughter. I think it's problematic that the people in the comments place the blame entirely on 16yr old Erin. All people involved are equally to blame and it appears justice was served. She is not a sociopath bc she does show empathy and even tears discussing her family and her father. I understand this rush of emotions and thinking you're "in love". If you've ever been in a controlling manipulative relationship (especially as your first) then you know that it is a roller coaster that makes you do things outside of your character.
That was not her first boyfriend and She had the power to stop the killing, and she did not, but instead put total blame on the others. The boyfriend was crying during the interrogation, she still does not shed a tear for her murdered family.Cannot believe you are defending her.

Yeah, anyone who has gone through youthful heartbreak understands the irrational and perhaps dangerous levels of obsession that can latch onto people when they can’t see the forest for the trees. Fortunately, these irrational feelings don’t typically lead to this level of violence, but still. Love is a powerful emotion, and in the young and inexperienced, there is a potential for danger.
In the midst of answering questions about her masterminding her family's murders, she manages to squeeze in that she was once voted, "most likely to succeed" and "best fun-loving person". Truly a sick, twisted person....smiles, no tears, and no remorse. Absolutely horrifying.

I'm a father with kids in the same birth order of this man. I can't even imagine his pain.
She repeatedly answers another question. Very much like a trained politician
I'm still blown away by how horrifying people can be.
Humans are the most wretched species on the planet.
Yes but haven't you ever done things that you look back and say "that wasn't me"? Murdering your family is obviously a different level of that. I'm just thinking that I have done things that I couldn't believe that I did, even little things, not mistakes, but faulty reasoning, was in a weird mindset somehow. Maybe sometimes the mind gets a glitch in it, like a computer, and it can lead down some paths that seem right in the moment. Sorry. I am rambling in the YT comment section again.
I agree!!
Please watch DOMINION the documentary if you really want to know just how horrifying the human race can be. Individuals can make a difference, but most people don't want to make the easy change because the pull to be "normal" is too strong
Only GOD truly knows the heart of mankind.
She’s a mass murderer, not a serial killer
💯👍
please keep this lady locked up, she never said she miss her love ones and sorry for her roll. and fellas if you ever meet this woman when she get in her late 60s and get out, don't sleep with her

That poor man still believes his daughter was basically an innocent part of the murders. His daughter is pure evil.
Nefarious.
An exorcist is probably the only person who can make any sense of such horror.
The poor dad lost everything😢 its so sad to hear him speak about his boys and wife. May God continue to help him heal.
He married his secretary not long after and visits Erin regularly.
@@Suzie-he9ni Interesting.....
Where was god when he should've been protecting the kids? 😂
@@Wrong.one.again.people have free will, and evil exists, and mistakes are made all the time. You can’t blame God for that. All the more reason to lean on Him, and seek His wisdom and truth.

The father lost his wife and 2 children. He has hung on to believe that his daughter was manipulated to commit this horrible crime. When he finally admits to himself that Erin was the main character,he will then have lost her too. Prayers for this man.
Why should he have to?
If you believe enough in the power of prayer. Then you should pray for God to let you in on a little power he has. I bet it'll be called "forgiveness "
He doesn’t have anything to lose because his daughter lacks the ability to feel emotions, empathy or love.

@@kayjax5230 That was a sweet rebuttable - you must be from around these parts. I wish I knew Piers Morgan was in town, am a big fan of his and would have loved to meet him finally in person.
Great interview !
I think Piers is giving a great interview, very calm but direct.
I was emancipated at 14 years, so as you can imagine, I didn't have the best parents. I never ever said "I wish my parents were dead". Ever.
Same!
well that's a completely different scenario. i'm obviously not standing up for her but you were emancipated, meaning your parents didn't really care about what you did, its literally the opposite of the situation here. her loving parents would not have allowed for her to be emancipated. they still wanted to have control over her life. yours obviously didn't, so why would you wish them dead? you were emancipated, you had essentially washed your hands clean of them and had total control over your own life as a minor with no one telling you what to do.
@@barbrothers2
I think @dyanshane is making the point that they had a reason to dislike their parents and still did not consider killing them, let alone any siblings. Not comparing scenarios.
Hey, Dyan. I’m sorry you didn’t have loving, responsible parents. That must have been hard. I’ve never heard of a 14 yo being emancipated. So young! Very best wishes to you.
@@barbrothers2 control? At that age it’s guidance not control dude. People are so naive to think the naive and ignorant aren’t naive and ignorant.
But that's you. She is not you. There are kids that have uttered, " I wish they were dead", but would never do it. There are kids that had great parents and then killed their parents because they told them no. It comes down to sheer evilness and selfishness.
This father is still trying to not accept his daughters guilt
Leave him alone the man’s suffered enough
Her culpability is low. She was pushed into this. Shouldn’t have got more than 10-15 years.
She's all he has.
His not accepting what she did is what is keeping him alive.
No one ever wants to believe their own flesh, and blood could do this to their own families. So sad, brings me too tears. He loves his kids as mush as I do my own, and this would destroy me on the inside. 🙏🙏🙏🌹
Erin never really comes out and answer the questions, or owns up to what she has done. I think Erin is a very dangerous person. She should never be released from jail.
She actually smirked at one time in the video when asked a tough question.
Also why did they let her get the makeup thing prior to the interview??
Notice how she tears up when it’s about her and doesn’t cry when it’s about her family. She doesn’t comprehend the love of her father. Doesn’t seem to appreciate him at all.
I did notice. She is a textbook psychopath. And a malignant narcissist. And a manipulator. And a murderer. I could go on but everyone gets the idea.
And at one point pondered on breaking up with him altogether.

5 mins in and I can tell she holds no accountability for the murders. She needs to stay in prison forever.
so do you sicko, why do you sell it cheap?
@MyMagicwizard what?!
Like she’s done nothing wrong, smh.
No, she should have been facing the death penalty!!
Well that is how it works with Sociopaths/Psychopaths..
She doesn’t give a straight direct answer to any of the questions.
Because her brain isn't fully developed to process and accept full responsibility. Just wait another 4 years. All of us will hear a more mature conversation of acknowledgment of her actions.
It’s because she’s super evil 😈
I know that type.
Seems she dont have any answer for those
Exactly. Did she even admit it was all her idea? Because that’s not the sense I got. All I heard was “I’m a victim”. The fact that she’s getting out one day while her brothers never got to live is sick.
The media has to stop giving the killers and not the victims more attention. It completely dehumanizes life.
The fact that she gets out one day is horrible
This is absolutely horrible 😢😢😢😢😢😢 what a monster. She can't even tell the truth and take responsibility.
Her parents just bought her a car for her 16th birthday! She still was angry at them. Those little brothers.....why? She must be a cold hearthed one.

The father's an absolute wonder. A truely remarkable man. Outstanding human being.

Do you know what the deputy told him her involvement was? I couldn't understand it??
She’s absolutely void of sorrow for the loss of her family…whether or not she was responsible.
This absence of sorrow speaks volumes about the core or her character.

She is church going loving saved daughter of devil.

Boyfriend at 16 years old. In Africa, you can’t even dare to tell your parents
Africa is a BIG PLACE...i would be willing to bet MONEY there's country's there with the youngest marriage on earth
As a parent of a daughter who is 16 , I have build great memories of her .... can't forget those and is one of things which I don't want to forget ... I can understand the denial the father has , not sure if will ever be able to move on ... I would say it is curse that can happen to anyone
This woman is mad scary . She takes no ownership over her actions, no responsibility whatsoever. And she doesn’t ever answer piers questions without stopping and starting and not really answering them unless it’s in a roundabout way.
She’s terrifying!!!
I think it's because she KNOWS her Dad will be watching and she doesn't want to admit to him that she was indeed the Mastermind behind the whole thing!!!! I think she fears that if her Dad knows the Truth that he'll walk away from her but even if she tell him the Entire Truth he'll NEVER walk away from her because she's all he's got left!!!! It's Saddd Really!!!! Her Dad Deserves the TRUTH Tho!!!!!
The way she doesn't really answer the questions and gives specific answers is really frustrating to watch.
Yes, I agree, sooo frustrating to watch! Every time she was speaking in this video I had to resist the temptation to
fast-forward through those scenes, because she was so upsetting to me. And her voice sounds like a little girl. A psychotic, demented, manipulative, narcissistic little girl - like something out of a horror movie. And when she refers to the “other ladies” in the prison with her, as if she’s talking about a tea party or book club, it made me want to throw up.
Both her and her boyfriend are absolute monsters!

Not everyone is as simple minded and know there is more complexity than you're able to observe. Not all are as limited in scope.
