When my husband and I started dating we decided not say good-bye to each other. I never wanted to say goodbye to him. So when we hang up from the phone we say " I love you... Soon"!. That was almost 30 years ago and we still only say soon instead of goodbye. Love you two by the way.

Maybe a silly comment but ... Brian, you have beautiful eyes! (P.S. Jessica, I'm happily married :-D!) I'm a dancer and I danced with my son when he was small but his father behaved like it was not so good for his son to dance. What a pity. My son stopped dancing with me. I danced also with my daughter and they both loved it when they were small. I agree that dance trains the body in various ways and improves the mood as well.

So much fun getting to know you both better! I am a general info nerd like Brian. I was so excited to take an aptitude test in high school to help decide where to focus my studies. It was inconclusive and said I would be good at whatever I chose, so that was no help!! As a mom I coerced my teenage son to join the ballroom dance team so one of my teenage daughters could join. (There weren't enough boys on the team.) He quit within a month, lol. I like how Brian pointed out all the benefits of dancing!
That 'snap' and lazy 'I love you" is like click training for animals. Connect something positive to the 'click'😆 instant calming 👍
My first "encounter" with Mr. and Mrs. Potato - and the show is NOT a lot of "krock" in or out of the kitchen (I'm the 74 year old who thinks he's funny). You two are EXCEPTIONAL. I say that because of the self assured manner you both have and the respect you show to yourselves AND each other. What a pleasant, enjoyable time. I will be watching more -

I think you guys are adorable, and it makes me happy that you’ve extended your lives by getting healthier every day.
This is the type of video {in my most humble opinion} that is pure gold - people dropping their defenses, being real & sharing their true selves with others. I’ve always felt “perfection” is so boring - it’s the quirks, uniqueness, & oddities of individuals that draws me to them & keeps me interested. It’s also very inspiring. I loved everything about this video & sat in my home, all alone, laughing out loud at “You kind of rock” ... “Momentary math break here...” 😄

Ok, I’ve gotta say it. You two aren’t weird at all; you’re just plain wonderful! Jessica, I don’t have a bent pinky but I do have a double-jointed finger, and Brian, I was the weird kid who read encyclopedias for fun (yeah, that made me REAL popular in school - NOT!). I also checked out Mercy’s Child on iTunes (purchased Heart of a Child ❤️❤️ but sadly couldn’t find anything else). What a wonderful heritage you have! Thanks for letting us get to know you a bit better.
When I was a little girl, my mother bought some books from a travelling salesman, and I would lay on the floor for hours reading the children's dictionary. I still don't think it's weird.

Weird means unique and interesting in my world. It means not following the masses, not being afraid to stand out from the crowd and do whatever works for you, chasing whatever rainbow lights you up most. You are both intelligent and have followed your varied interests and passions your entire life. You have pursued and lived experiences in areas you enjoy and have not been afraid to try new things. THAT is what too many are forgetting to do in the midst of living in front of far too many screens in this, our supposedly progressive, advanced modern world. I struggle to understand those “playing” in simulated games of real worlds, doing things they dream of doing in “real” life, rather than turning off the game and going out and actually living their lives.
Your weight loss transformation is what brings many to your channel. Your amazing personalities (as well as great recipes and information) both as individuals and together as a couple are what keep people coming back.

Brian, I took ballet tap and dance as a kid and it was a fail. BUT, I played piano and keyboard for 20 years in church along with my son (great guitar player) and we had a great band. Drums, sax, trumpet, electric guitars, etc. They all made ME sound really good and I love to worship with an instrument! I finally quit because they weren't letting the younger women play because I could transpose keys easily so...now I play the radio! I just love you guys. I have great kids (about your age) and I'm just proud of ALL of you!

Back in the early 1990's I drove limo's for a company that had an account with the old Pier 66 Hotel in Ft. Lauderdale FL. I was parked in the front when a hotel rep comes up to the car to see if I was available. His client's car was late and he needed a ride. I was indeed available. Long story short, the client was Lindsey Buckingham. I didn't get to take him because his ride pulled up just as we were getting ready to leave. But it was a delight to meet him. "Rock on!"

Love your vulnerability and honesty in sharing this, and it's so touching to see how much you love and appreciate each other's "weirdness". Like Jessica, I have no specific musical talent but have always made up little tunes, sometimes original and sometimes based on existing songs. I specifically remember when my son was little (1-2 years old), I'd adapt the old Andrews Sisters song "A Bushel and a Peck" into a bath song. "I love you, a bushel and a peck, bet your dirty neck I do. I love you a rock and a boulder, bet your dirty shoulder I do. I love you peanut butter and jelly, bet your dirty belly I do." I kind of wish I had video of that, though my son is now 18 and would probably move heaven and earth to destroy that evidence if it did exist. ;)

Your I love you flourish is a lot like American sign language for I love you. And the crooked pinky runs in my family. I don’t have it but a nephew has it and had surgery, at least one of my brothers had it but I can’t remember which one. My father had it. You guys are so adorable. Thanks for being so transparent.

12:10 I do "random research." Some nugget will set me on a internet search. Sometimes for hours. I no longer recall specific details,but, I once read: "..reminds me of a Sandworm.." and 3 wiki-binge hours later: Dune and then a fair chunk of the first book later..Yup, cool way to spend spare time.
That's hilarious I do the snapping thing to to get someone's attention or if the dogs are acting up I do it. When you snapped my dog looked at me like what am I doing or do you have something for! It was hilarious

Dance is really fantastic! My son and his bff are breakdancers and joined dance class in high school. They really enjoyed it and were never embarrassed. They had a great time!

My husband has Duypuytren's Contracture in his hands. This sometimes occurs in people, but only to those who have Scandinavian ancestors. There is a Facebook page with that name. There is no cure unfortunately for him. Watching your video about your pinky got my attention because of my husband's situation.

I love your wierdness. We are all weird to some degree. Brian love your music. Would like to hear more. My kids are all musically talented. My daughter is a church pianist. Both sons are Pastors. My granddaughter and husband tour pretty much year round. They are Christian band. Traveling US, UK all over. They just got back from Thailand.

Hi Jessica my sister has a bent pinkie as do my daughter (in both) and her dad! I checked when she was first born too but it is quite hard to tell then as babies scrunch all their fingers up anyway!
Just to say it is not an easy fix as it would seem my sister tried to have hers straightened which didn’t work and caused it to become very painful. My daughter actually broke one of her bent pinkies and now not only is it bent but it now sticks out from the rest of her fingers at an angle.
I encouraged my daughter to see having hereditary bent pinkies as something special and not a defect ir something she should have “fixed”.
Thankfully she has grown up to appreciate her little quirks as something to love about herself.

My son did jazz, tap and ballet but did not want to do the recitals because he didn’t want to wear the costume or makeup, eventually he stopped going and got into gymnastics. Both were fun for him.
I grew up in Crestwood, MO and my dad worked at the Arch. While we lived there both my brothers played hockey (a sport that wasn't popular where we later moved). Sometimes your videos surprise me and take me back to my childhood. :-)
Y'all!... That was awesome! I've been subscribed to you for a while now, but I didn't have a bunch of time to be on here watching all of the videos, and I'm just now realizing that you are way, WAY more awesome than I thought. My husband and I, and y'all have so much in common with each other. Faith. Music. Food... Well... I'm the healthier eating one out of my husband and I but, I'm trying to get him on board more. My husband told me not to be jealous of the fact that God/Jesus comes first, and then me. I don't get jealous. I just pray. When my husband is grumpy and he's yelling, he goes to the garage, and I sit at my desk and pray and ask God to help us. If I'm the problem, help me, if it's him, help him. Then my husband comes back in and apologies. And I do too. My husband played Joseph in the manger scene holding up "baby Jesus", at 1st Assembly of God in Cave Creek, AZ. He did that in 2005 and for about 4 years in a row. You might still be able to find a video of it online. I have been in plays and choir at school. That was a fun time. Anyway... I loved learning more about you both.

Brian, my husband is also known for useless information. I met my husband at youthgroup and at church he was the go to guy for useless info as well. In fact everyone would tease him. He now has rather weird conversations with our 18 year old son.
This was a fun video! I, like Jessica, have a funky pinky-but mine is due to a softball injury in 5th grade. I can still bend it drastically in either direction like it’s made of rubber, and gross people out. I also love your ability to ice skate. I always wanted to, but wasn’t a good roller skater, so I never tried. I have more in common with Brian, being a fellow musician. I started at age 8 on piano, worked my way up the clarinet family in school (just because the band director and my parents all discouraged me from playing tuba. I did learn a little tuba in college though, when I majored in tenor sax. Now I play bass guitar, with drums on the side. I made a quirky Birthday video a few years ago, where I played bass, guitar, and drums and sang the Birthday song to myself. I found an app where I linked the 3 videos together, stacked them, then shared with my Facebook friends. Some of my friends request it each year on my Birthday. There’s my long but quirky story!
I fell for my man because of his voice, I'm a voice person myself, I like a voice or I really don't. My son didn't mind dirt on his hands but if he got chocolate on them he feaked out. I hate touching door handles, icky.
From the first video I watched I could tell you were both interesting and fun. I have friends like you that enrich my life. Thanks for sharing.
All three of my sons took ballet from about 6 till at least 10. They still dance now, mostly swing for fun. My oldest son's wedding was great fun with all their friends cutting a rug. It is sad that dancing for fun is embarrassing to some, it teaches so many important skills.

And another finger oddity - I have a very crooked ring finger due to the infamous Pumpkin Incident of 2015.
I spiral fractured my finger while trying to swing a kettle bell shaped pumpkin through the air. The ER doc had a fabulous time poking fun at me, said it was the worst finger break he'd seen that year, and I was in surgery getting it screwed back together two days later.
I am much more careful harvesting pumpkins these days. No more showboating.
I love the Lindsey Buckingham story. His pre Fleetwood Mac is probably my favorite era in his career.
