Jennifer Cooper Gravley passed away peacefully on the morning of Saturday, February 10th at age 54 after a long and courageous battle with stage 4 colon cancer. She went into eternal glory with her dear husband of nearly 32 years by her side. She joins her precious momma and daddy, along with Anthony’s parents.
My husband Brian and I had the fortune of becoming close friends with Anthony and Jennifer over the past 5 years. As we came to know their amazing love story, and the stories of their parents, we felt blessed to have such an amazing example of love in our lives.
They met in college when Anthony was 18 and Jennifer was 21. They married in 1992 and created a beautiful family together - 3 amazing sons and now a daughter-in-law and precious grandbaby who just turned one. Over the years, they have given so much of themselves to take care of others. As caregivers for their parents, they selflessly set aside their own lives to ensure they received the best care possible. As a teacher, Jennifer helped shape the lives of so many students throughout the years.
We have witnessed so much loss in the Gravley/Cooper family, as all four of their parents passed over a very short time period from 2020 - 2022. But one thing we have not witnessed is a loss of spirit or faith in our Lord and Savior. Even as Jennifer was handed a life altering diagnosis of stage 4 colon cancer in August of 2022, it did not break their faith. Jennifer immediately started her fight with an aggressive treatment plan. And not ONE time did anyone hear her complain or question why this was happening to her. She faced this battle more courageously and determined than anyone I’ve ever met.
I know one of her wishes would be that her family is taken care of, and unfortunately along with so much loss, there has been a lot of financial burden on this beautiful family. Both Jennifer and Anthony had to step down from their teaching jobs to focus on her declining health and aggressive chemotherapy treatment plan. Due to the kindness and generosity of their friends and family, they were able to get through the last year and a half with the help of donations from another GoFundMe. They will be closing that campaign as we launch this one (www.gofundme.com/f/the-gravle...) and thank everyone for the continued support.
I wanted to start this new fundraiser as the family enters this next chapter. We would love it if you could help us honor Jennifer’s memory. I understand that not everyone will be in a position to give - but honestly every dollar helps - and if you are unable to give, please just keep them in your prayers as they try to figure out life without their precious momma, wife and NanNan.
Funds will go directly to support the family with any needs they have including:
* Funeral Expenses (estimated between $5,000 - $10,000)
* Remaining Medical Expenses
* Support as Anthony transitions from full-time caregiver
Thank you for helping us bless this family, and please keep them in your prayers as the most difficult of days are still ahead.

I’m Muslim , in our class tonight our teacher talks about the worst thing you can do is to cause harm to others, by speech , deed etc, this speaks so well of your friend that she never spoke ill of anyone else, this is a great characteristic. Condolences to her family and community such as yourself🌼🙏🏽
Anthony is my cousin, I was so glad to see you both visited during this difficult time. Thank you so much for supporting our family.
🙏🕊️🙏
It was truly our honor to help Anthony and his boys during this time.

My daughter, 44, is currently fighting what we suspect is ovarian cancer. The definitive biopsy cannot be done locally, she is in too much pain to travel. Her GPs won't increase her meds as they are ignorant, thoughtless and not aware of pain protocol. She has a 15 year old son who is one of her carers. Its killing her and us. Amazing to hear survivor stories. Bless all in the cancer community. Sincere condolences to your friend's family. She will be missed. From Australia.

I will say this; her youngest son Hewson is my best friend and he is the same way as her. Always has something positive to say about anyone and always very sweet! Please keep praying for this sweet family ❤️
That is exactly how Anthony described him. Hewson is the only son we haven't met, but we've only heard great stories about him from Anthony and Jennifer.
The hospice nurses on RUclips have said that when a person is dying they have a period where they suddenly become very lucid and awake and engage with their family before a downturn. I am so glad you were able to get there safely and stay for that time, and uplift her, sharing Elsie with her. In the pictures you showed she looks so happy to just see Elsie and hold her tiny hand. Your lives are enriched through having known her, and you have shared that with us. Thank you. RIP Jennifer
That's exactly what happened to my Uncle. He was in the hospital, at the end stages of throat cancer. The very day before he died. He wanted my father to get him dressed because he wanted to go home. He had just turned 60. That was in 2004. Three years later, in 2007, I had a very vivid dream. I was walking down the corridor of an unfamiliar hospital. All of a sudden, my Uncle came walking through a door to my right. I was shocked. I said, "Uncle Ross, I thought you were dead"! He had the hospital gown on that he was wearing when he passed, but he didn't have his trach in, and he could talk clearly. He said, "I am, it's not me, it's your Aunt Sharon". He took me back the way I had come from. He showed me a room, where my Aunt was laying in bed. I woke up thinking, "That was very strange and very real. I said nothing to my father. About a week later, my Dad said to me, "Your Aunt Sharon might be in a bit of trouble. The doctors think she is full of cancer. Three weeks later, she passed. I know that was a visit from my Uncle. It still sends shivers down my spine when I think of it, but I know that it is also proof that there is life after death.
@carmelscott1706 Thanks for sharing an extraordinary experience.
It's called "Rallying", and is very common (X-ray tech and Nurse for 20+ years).
The last bit of energy cones prior to the last breath. As hospice nurse, I have seen the last turn around and its very common, just a few days or so before the last breath.
That window of time, its God's blessing, and its a gift only God gives🙏✨
Rest In Heaven Jennifer
It is a gift from God for family to have closure. My father died in my arms after a very short illness with non Hodgkins . I was so blessed to have those precious moments with my father.
I don't know why this clicked up for me but I am so sorry for your loss. These things Watch it that I am going to give you a thumbs up. I am a Christian, and I will be praying for you all. 🇲🇽🤗
Precious Jennifer suffered in this life for reasons that go beyond our comprehension, but she is at perfect peace now, never to suffer again. My thoughts and prayers to her family and friends. 🙏❤️

RIP Jennifer Cooper Gravley. You passed this life with Straight A's,
I’m so sorry you guys! I went through something similar. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019 and started treatment. 6 months later my amazing friend Christina was diagnosed with breast cancer as well. We were going through it together, we had plans for “after cancer”. Unfortunately hers spread to her brain. It hurts to even type that. She passed away a few months ago. I miss her so much. And I’m dealing with survivors guilt.
I so understand your pain and loss of Jennifer.
Monday 5th Feb I got a call to say please come from my best friend my soul sister ... her husband also had bowel cancer took a sudden deterioration at home.
I stayed and supported them thro the day and night until he died early hours of 6th Feb...way to young.
It was a privilege to help nurse him thro final hours just the 3 of us where he wanted to be...
I fully agree you know your body if you think or feel something is wrong get checked.
This week was always a hard week as my dad in law died 10th Feb my other best friend died 13th Feb aged 51 so young and my mum on 14th Feb.
I am so numb my best friend heartbroken we do not know our future but we will spk his name often and never forget.

I just lost my mom and my two best friends. My mom passed away from a major stroke on Nov 30th. My friend of 35 yrs died on Dec 22nd (my husband's birthday) from Pancreatic Cancer, she was 54. Then my best friend of 27 yrs was staying at my house for the holidays and didn't come out of the room one day, so my husband went to check on her and found her dead in there. That was Jan 5th. She was also 54 yrs old. I am beyond devestated, and I don't know how I'm going to get through all this loss, Im broken!!! 😢💔

It is so hard your head will be in a whirl and emotions all over the place.
This is my hardest week but I can not forget my other best friend in 2 weeks time who was 47 when she died ...
I like you had been friends for almost 30 years with them all.
The gap they have left in my life vast.
It is silly things a smell of perfume or a song while driving or cooking tea.
The hurt and I have realised always stays it never goes away but like ripples in a pond soften and grow the greater distance from the peebles that was thrown life will go on.
All my love x

I'm so sorry for your loss. Fly high, Jennifer! I'm battling stage 4 colon cancer. Cancer is a beast. I couldn't agree more about advocating for yourself. If you're not being listened to, move on to another doctor.
❤❤❤
My niece’s husband had been battling stage IV lung cancer, and four months after we found that out my niece’s brother was diagnosed with stage IV pancreatic cancer…
My nieces husband got stage four lung cancer. I was searching info about it and came across Jenny Apple’s channel. She had stage four lung. It’s just seems like so many people are showing up with cancer in the past year-ish. I’m so very sorry to know that it hit you, too. 😢
We assume that one of those two fellas who are in their 50s both of them would likely succumb to their illness and that would be the next family member we lost ….
But no. My son crashed on Christmas Day, and died for six days after that. He was an organ donor, so it was part of what went on during those days after.
I agree cancer is a beast. my nieces husband ran out of his cobra insurance and was uninsured the last three months of 2023. He had to stop all of his treatment. He’s back on insurance now he was able to get on my nieces insurance at the beginning of the year. Ugh. So much wrong with so many things. Take care.❤
@Nan-59 Sending love and prayers to your family. That is a lot to go through and I am sorry that you lost your son. I was in the hospital this past week for my 4th colon cancer surgery, and while I was there, my cousin who was already battling two types of cancer was found to have a massive tumor in her lung and passed away. Cancer does not discriminate. Lack of affordable care and the bureaucracy that you have to deal with only makes it worse.
@@Nan-59I am so so so sorry. How terribly devastating. May God embrace you and give you peace.
Hi Lisa, I am so sorry for your difficult journey. Are you interested in any alternative treatments to compliment your current protocol? I would be happy to share resources if your interested ❤
I'm so glad that Anthony and Jennifer were able to meet Elsie❣️❣️ So very sorry for the loss of your friend.
Such a loss for this world. She sounds like a beautiful person. Hugs and prayers for you two and for her family.
I’m so sorry to hear you’ve lost your friend, deepest sympathies!
Jessica and Brian. The story of your friends has touched me. I made a donation. May Jennifer rest in heavenly peace. No more suffering.
I had a colonoscopy last autumn. The hardest thing was the fasting and liquids and drinking the stuff on schedule that cleans out your insides. They give you anesthetic, you know nothing, and there's no pain afterward. You'll just need a reliable ride home. I got a good result: one lone polyp removed with no problems and a clear biopsy.. I join with Jessica and Brian and encourage everyone to go ahead and get checked. Most of us will be okay. Some of us will need to take steps but first we have to know!
The prep is the easiest part. I do it many times even when I'm not having a colonoscopy to alleviate symptoms and keep me from ending up in the ER again. I don't understand why people find the prep so difficult. Miralax can be put in any light colored drink and magnesium citrate comes in colorless tasty flavors - grape, cherry, etc.
@k9khodi363 I don't know what condition you are dealing with, but most people don't have to routinely alleviate symptoms that might put them in the ER! Unless they are dealing with an ED, which I don't get any vibe you are at risk of, you are just comfortable with the process and it works for you. If you are doing the protocol often, every few months or so, it would be a familiar habit. For me it was once, and then they'll see me in 3 years, so it was weird. I hope you are able to stay out of the ER however you need to manage it!
@@1234cheerful I'm not sure how needing to clear the colon of fecal matter and toxins relates to priapism (the only ED issue that would warrant a trip to the ER). 🤔
I’m so sorry for the loss of your dear friend ❤️ I had no idea that you guys love the Lord 🙌🏻 I understand...I’m a Stage 4 Breast Cancer Survivor. I know how very hard it is. God Bless You All 👏🏻🙏🏻💞Condolences to the Family ❤️
What a beautiful tribute to your friend, Jennifer, and her wonderful family.
Thank you, Jessica, for encouraging everyone to find another physician if the current physician can not find a reason to your not feeling well.
I was told it was all in my head and was told I was a bored housewife when I was a young woman. It took a few more physicians before I found the one that saved my life, 53 years ago. We know when something is not right. We know our bodies.
Also, Jessica, you have blossomed 🌸. More spiritual. Thank you for sharing. Love you dearly.
You and Brian are a testament to a cohesive love. Amazing!
I hate this!!! Too many people are dying from Cancer! There has to be a reason why....so many families are losing loved ones, and it's just way too common. Jennifer RIP/RIL! Prayers for her family and friends!
There is a reason but we’re not allowed to talk about it. Billions of humans accepted an experimental treatment. Now cancer, heart and neurological issues are skyrocketing. Most Western countries have experienced a 10-20% increase in excess death. But none of our governments are acknowledging this phenomenon.
Probably due to the pointy thing. Also "nice" people who don't say a bad word about anyone tend to suppress their emotions. Suppressing emotions can cause cancer.
I'm sorry for your loss.
Stop speeding lies. There's a lot of nice people that don't get cancer that's ridiculous! Geeze. Oh and forget about all the pollution. The lab made toxic scented Tide & dryer sheets spewing out of our washers and dryers everyday. The chemtrails they drop from the sky daily. The plan demic lie, and oh so much more🙏💕🌎🫂@@dorothysnyder7014

@@jass412 That is funny. Did you know the mRNA is used in other medications to treat diseases that were not treatable before? Cancer clusters happen in communities, not in age groups unless childhood exposure. You think it is something else, but it is your environment and chemicals in everything you use, that cause cells to change. Watch out for yourself.
That brief rebound is astonishing. It’s like a chance for a last goodbye. Ive seen it several times.
Very well said same with my dad before passing he seemed like his old self a week later he passed away February 15th 2023🙏💐
There are hospice nurses who talk about it all the time. It’s Very common and it sounds like the well meaning physician may have given false hope with framing her “rally” as a miracle.
The doctor wasn't trying to give false hope. He just had no medical reason as to why she survived the night in ICU and got a bit better over the next couple of days. But she was practically in a coma by the time she was put into hospice.
@@KrocksInTheKitchenThe Dr. should have known better considering her diagnosis.
My Mom did the same thing. She rallied and had Thanksgiving with the family, played games, put a puzzle together and just loved on everyone and died about a week later. We were so grateful for that special time God allowed us to have with her.
Oh no. I’m so sorry to hear this. I just finished my meditation for the day and this popped into my thread. All four of you are warriors. It seems like Colon cancer is increasing these days. It’s so awful. I’m so sorry, guys. Love from Colorado. ❤
It’s crazy, colon cancer seems to be taking people so young/ people in their early 30’s! While it’s never a “good” time to pass, I can’t help but think we just didn’t hear about 30 year olds getting colon cancer 20 years ago. Non smoking lung cancer seems to be on the rise as well.
It’s such a shame. My mom beat colon cancer (stage 3c) but less than 4 months after being NED, she had a softball size tumour on her ovary. 😢
It’s insidious.

Good to hear! Never hesitate to get checked out.
I got mine done in July last year and I had two precancerous pulps and I'm glad I did it..
Jennifer is loved here by family and friends. I believe she is being loved and nurtured in a beautiful place we don't yet get to see. How nice you two got to know her.
I’m so sorry for yours and her families life. Last year I was diagnosed with stage 3c colon cancer with a 8.2cm tumor in my ascending colon with 3 spores near the tumor and 14/29 lymph nodes and a pre cancerous polyp in my transverse colon and a precancerous polyp in the descending colon at 57. I had no symptoms. Being plant based for 7yrs I was not constipated, no weight loss, no bleeding etc. But I knew I was off. So Yes. Push your Dr. or Listen to your Dr’s recommendation. And do your preventative healthcare tests. Doing 1 colonoscopy is so insignificant compared to the alternative. Not to mention cost. As you also know. Sending much love to you all during this time of grief.

I can't fathom what they went through in such a short period and then to face into a battle for Jennifer's life. I can't fathom that. I lost my dad to dementia last year and that's hard enough. And now Anthony has lost his beautiful life too. He is going to need alot of support. What a lovely tribute. RIP Jenifer . I can't fathom either that people suffering so much loss in their lives are left with a high financial burden! My dad's medical care(hospital for 3 months prior to his death) has zero cost and his funeral cost 7 thousand, paid for by himself. I think it's terrible that families are left with those costs.

I just came upon your channel tonight. I’m so very sorry to read about the death of your dear friend Jennifer and the sorrow her husband and children are experiencing. You did a very honorable job speaking about Jennifer and what a special woman she was. May the Lord bring comfort as only He can. Susan
Thinking of you and your friend’s family. Sending love and virtual hugs. 💞
