    B&M Hypers are like the Toyotas of the roller coaster world. Most reliable model there is, more straightforward than most other models, yet still interesting and fun.
    Sure, there are others that are probably a bit more thrilling and extreme, but they don't match in reliability or popularity among GP.
    I would probably have to agree that it's the best from a "big picture" standpoint. The GP absolutely LOVE these things, and they don't cost a an arm and a leg to construct as well as to maintain.
    I would say that if you want to disregard the popularity spectrum, really ANY B&M model is pretty much going to tie, with the exception of maybe the wing coasters, mainly due to their "slow" nature. They all have the same great B&M dependability while also having more to offer for enthusiasts and thrill seekers than the hypers.
    What it comes down to is what you want most out of a ride. B&Ms are generally the "safe bet" for parks while Intamin/RMC/Mack are going to be the "wild and extreme" option that may not be *as* reliable but will keep the more seasoned enthusiast excited. If you want "cheap" then you would probably buy a prototype ride or a ride from a less established brand that will be very unlikely to be reliable. *cough cough* Kennywood *cough cough*

    I like super thrilling rides, but I also like not having to worry about a breakdown or a slow moving line when I enter the queue. These aren’t too far off on thrill level compared to Intamin blitz and hybrids, but their reliability makes them a true competitor

    Totally fair! I took a GP friend on DC Rivals and she still preferred Silver Star. I was excited to try out Shambhala a few weeks ago but I was a little disappointed. However I have recently ridden Batman Gotham City Escape and Zadra, and both are such awesome attractions!
    Even though I as an enthusiast prefer the Intamin Blitz or RMC Hybrid, I can totally see how the GP would love the airtime and comfort delivered only by a B&M Hyper!

      From a park standpoint they are a headache with all of the downtime they face and the lower capacity. From a guest standpoint they are better because of the more unique ride experience.

      @@CoasterVerseit’s hard to argue that the B&M hyper is a flawless model as it has everything a park desires, so from a park management standpoint this is probably the best model in the world ever. Purely for what ride experiences they can offer Intamin Blitzes are better imo tho, far more versatile in every aspect.

      @racingphotographer8251 Месяц назад

      @@timk987 4 across trains like Leviathan, Fury, and Orion would double the capacity with not much change to the ride experience. The seats are also set quite far apart you aren't bumping shoulders (or even hands) with the next rider.

    • @timk987
      @timk987 Месяц назад

      @@racingphotographer8251 I guess that's where are opinions differ. I absolutely think the number one way to ruin the ride experience of a hyper coaster is to have people on both sides of you. That being said, I generally like B&M hypers, especially the cedar fair ones that have the staggered seats, come to think of it, it's probably why so many people like Diamondback more than Orion at Kings Island.
