I only got to ride Raging Bull once for the 2019 season, first time ever. Because my grandma is handicapped, they assigned us the third row which is probably one of the worst seats you can get. So I'm definitely gonna ask for a back row
SFOT: Yeah. Same. :P But in all seriousness, only hyper I've ridden is Titan so... SLIGHTLY better off than Goliath over on your side but really I've had no say on these. I've been too shallow...
I love the love for Diamondback! I've only been on Intimidator and Diamondback to date as far as B&M hypers, but though Intimidator was the first one I rode I felt extremely underwhelmed. Even though I got at least ten rides throughout the day on multiple seats. Diamondback has never failed to impress me with it's heavenly sustained floater camelbacks, which sometimes offer flojector.
It definitely does. Everyone hates on it so much when it’s pretty good. Plus people who say it’s trim are bad- the trims aren’t on. Only the midcourse.
Finally someone who gives credit to raging bull! That drop is crazy in the back row. When it’s warm it’s hauling and goes even faster over those turns.
I love when they have staggered seating. It makes the airtime in the back twice as good as it should be. While I rode it when the trims were barely on, if you ride it in the back row, Intimidator gives you some amazing flojector airtime.
Can we put that on a shirt? "These were built for airtime. Let the airtime happen" Please spare us of the thigh crushing and gut punching rides due to stapling
Great list! Diamondback still #1 for me, too. Haven't been on Goliath, but I take it over the other 7. All are fun, and Intimidator was much improved in 2019 with reduced trimming.
As the only hyper I've ridden, I'm super happy that Mako is so close to my house and that I get to ride it every few months or so. I went earlier this month and the trim brakes were completely off and I couldn't believe how amazing it was. That hill with the trim brake on it gave sustained airtime on par with the larger camelback before it, and the second half of the ride actually gave good floater airtime. I remember on the midcourse on one of my rides absolutely crying of laughter, I don't think I've ever had that much fun on a roller coaster in my life.
I’ve rode Goliath at SFOG 4 times, each one of which gave me PHENOMENAL floater airtime with super comfortable clamshell restraints. Another plus is I’ve never waited more than 10 minutes for it
Diamondback is a coaster I could marathon all day. In fact I did when I was younger. One of my visits to Kings Island as a teen in 2010. It was on a slightly rainy Sunday in early May. There was no one in line and the only people riding were a couple other guests, myself, and my two friends. The ride op at the control panel asked if we wanted to go up again and we did. They let us lap it three times before we eventually got off.
Apollo's Chariot first drop is like that. I really think Chris's got done bad rides due to the weather because Apollo's Chariot first drop is fantastic.
Can I just say, I love this channel and the frequent high-quality content you put out. Believe it or not, you've taught me a great deal about coasters by doing these videos.

Good to see some Nitro love! I got to ride Nitro dozens of times this season thanks to working on it, and I find it better than most other hypers. I’m still debating on whether I like it or Candymonium better
With the 2020 reprogramming, I can confirm that Apollo’s Chariot has came back beautifully. Once trains are full again post-covid, it seems like it should be back to its former glory.
I've only been on one of these, Nitro, and that is a spectacular ride in my opinion. The Dive left on the second hill caught me so off guard and it was amazing. The part after the mid-course could use a little more thrill but I'd say it's a great example of what a B&M Hyper can be.
If you got good weather for Apollo's Chariot (And probably Candemonium) I'd imagine both would rise in the rankings far, probably into the top half. At least past Intrimidator. The thing is, back in 2018 I got full train back row hot summer day night rides on Apollo's Chariot, and that pre-camera hill has to be the best airtime on a B&M hyper. Yes, better than Raging Bull's main drop from the back (although tbf in 2019 I didn't get airtime on that). Maybe Mako's 5-second camelback competes just due to how sustained it is, but that was more floa-jector. That moment on Apollo's? That was proper ejector airtime. None of that floater nonsense, none of that floa-jector nonsense. Proper. Ejector. Airtime. It wouldn't be out-of-place on an RMC.
You know what? Am I going to say it? Am I going to piss off every coaster enthusiast here? I guess I will... THE AIRTIME ON APOLLO's CHARIOT'S PRE-CAMERA HILL FELT STRONGER THAN ANY AIRTIME MOMENT OUTSIDE OF THE LAST ONE ON LIGHTNING ROD Ok, there we go. Time to get downvoted into oblivion.
Chris, I'm from New Zealand and I've only done three B&M Hypers. They also happen to be the three best ones. All three are in my top 20...in this order - Mako, Raging Bull and then DiamondBack. I love the fact you give Raging Bull some love as it's constantly being crapped on. I suspect it's because Taylor had two rides on it and didn't really rate it as high, then the sheep followed without actually experiencing it themselves. Don't expect the same typical hyper layout and for what it is ...it's an awesome ride. I marathoned the hell out of it over my two days at Great America, almost each ride in the back row. That first drop is spectacular.
Raging Bull is probably the most underrated coaster I've ever experienced! It is such an unbelievable coaster! Really nothing else compares! I love seeing it get some acknowledgement, it's long overdue.
That first drop in the back row is unmatched. Flojector almost the entire way down with that headchopper at the end. The twister section deserves some love too
Why do people say this? Raging Bull is immensely respected in the coaster world. Lots of enthusiasts love it. It definitely gets the respect it deserves and isn’t underrated.
I have ridden Goliath about 20 times so here is my review. First off, at the top of the lift hill, you have a fantastic view of Downtown Montreal and the Saint Lawrence River. You do get stapled most times but when you don't, the floater airtime is amazing. There is one ejector moment I'll mention later. I actually rank it over every coaster at BGT, even Montu and Kumba. Yes it is repetitive but near the end there is a killer outer bank turn that ejects you out of your seat violently and it ends right when you're about to hit the ground. There is also a slight pop of air before you hit the brake run. The coaster track, supports and sign have really nice colours. Bonus, the queue house isn't another metal box. It's my favorite coaster at the park and overall but I haven't ridden many.
ThemeParkCrazy: You can never go wrong with a B&M Hyper Six Flags Magic Mountain: hahah, very true Mr. ThemeParkCrazy... Hey Giovanola, can you make us A B&M Hyper?? Giovanola: uhhh...Yeah, sure
Behemoth when you don't get stapled (and don't hit the trims too hard) is outstanding. I've had quite a few rides on it, and it's my favourite coaster at the park (with Vortex & Levi close behind).
I’ve only been on Nitro at my home park SFGAdv, and needless to say, I’m a fan. I got 3 rides on it in 2020, my final ride was the last of the day on a hot July day, back row, full train (ride ops for whatever reason started doing full trains at the end of the day despite doing half trains all day before). Holy cow, I legit got ejector on some of those drops it was running so fast and that helix is intense and awesome. Easily 2nd best in the park behind El Toro and an elite coaster in my eyes. Also best station music of any coaster out there.
I think you need to reride Apollo's Chariot. The ride gives some really good fljector on the dive into the river on the way back and the crazy ejector pop on that last hill.
Loved your video, the only B&M hyper that I have ridden was Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia, and the one that I currently want to ride is Diamondback at Kings Island, it has one of the best features of any hyper coaster with the splashdown anyways great video once again!!!
I've ridden AC, Nitro, and Intimidator (CW) within last two years and AC is better than Nitro and way way better than Intimidator. I stopped watching the video after seeing it ranked 9th. There is no way I could give his list any credit.
Completely agree with Nitro getting more love, as for Candymonium I was able to get full trains on a hot day and it blew me away I could easily see it moving up 4 spots or more
I got to ride Mako yesterday and I rode diamond back in September and I gotta agree diamond back is better.....very glad the only 2 ive rideen are the best😂😂😂
you have GOT to get on Behemoth on a hot day. I've ridden it more times than I could ever count and I have yet to get a bad ride, so when Behemoth isn't cold, it is absolutely a top tier hyper
Goliath at LaRonde is SUPER underrated in my opinion. It's just a nonstop buffet of very strong airtime, and had zero rattle when I rode it (something most of the others suffer from pretty badly.) Also, that turnaround gives strong forces and an awesome ejector moment coming out it, and I find this preferable to the many generic hammerhead turnarounds found on the others. I've ridden all of the North American B&M hypers but Candymonium and Mako, and I would place Nitro, Goliath at SFOG and then Goliath at LaRonde as my top 3.
Goliath at La Ronde is a sleeper, it offers so much air time even though it's small. Also fun fact about why it is only 175ft, this is due to Montreal having stupidly strict zone planning. It was originally supposed to be 230ft, but it would have impacted the views of Mont Royal, which is the mountain in the middle of the downtown core. The city has strict height limits as is, and they applied this to La Ronde, which reduced the height from 230ft to 175ft.
I was on Raging Bull for the first time yesterday, in the back row. It's my all time favorite coaster. I actually know what you are talking about when you say "airtime" now.
Behemoth is lacking in the original layout department, but when you get a ride where you aren't stapled, it's a pretty dam strong ride. There's a better whip in the back of course, but something should be said for front row outside on the staggered seating cars. I always feel like you're more exposed to the elements which just adds to the wind rushing and such. Great video as always!
I've been on Behemoth, Apollo's Chariot, Diamondback, and Nitro. With Great Adventure being one of my home parks, I've ridden Nitro the most and so far it's my favorite. I love the floater airtime in the front row. I prefer to experience my airtime as I'm cresting the hill, not going down the hill. I also rank Nitro higher than Diamondback because it doesn't have the unnecessary seatbelts.
I don't understand people knocking Apollo's Chariot. I really think you must have gotten some bad rides due to the weather because the first drop is my favorite first drop on a B&M hypercoaster and the setting is easily the best for a B&M hypercoaster. Since most of them are very similar, mixing it up with a fantastic setting really makes a difference. For me it ranks just behind Mako and Diamondback. The most disappointed I've been on a B&M hypercoaster was Goliath at SFOG. It's really cool in general (as are all B&M hypercoasters) but I found it to be much rougher than the others.
I'd like to see a B&M hyper by the numbers video, also, Ridden Shambhala and its awesome. The airtime is borderline ejector on every hill before the mid course, and even slowing to a crawl, the final hills offer decent float. The back the drops off the hill feel like intense first drops, considering most are the size of first drops! In the front every valley pulls a surprising amount of positives, and the airtime is stronger, but less sustained than the back. The tunnel on the ride is a great headchoppers, and the first drop is terrifying, considering the only coaster before it I had done comparible in height is stealth. This is all while being Stapled. With an inch of room, back row night ride... the best ride of my life! (but overall smiler is my number 1, shammy bring a close N 2)
Ive been on diamondback, intimidator, and mako! Intimidator was unimpressive for me while the other 2 had some very fun stomach-dropping negative g elements!
I like the way Goliath in SFoG solves its site problems by just going over them and having such a high degree of interactivity with the rest of the park.
Great Adventure is not really my home park, but it's the closest one with a hyper. Nitro usually has almost no line (partially due to massive capacity) and the operators are mad chill, so it's easy to get a whole lot of rides quickly if you're a single rider. The view to the left is a pretty forest, and getting a warm night ride is highly recommended if possible. The upward helix on that and the first one on Intimidator 305 at Kings Dominion are the only times so far I've grayed out on a coaster. That being said, that helix is nothing compared to Intimidator. Apollo's Chariot is actually the first roller coaster I went on. I recently went to BGW again, and it was also a cool, damp day. It was definitely running slow and I was a bit disappointed, I'm not surprised to hear you had a similar experience.
I have ridden Apollo in many different temperatures, weather conditions, and with a near empty train and a completely full train. It’s very weird how different the experiences can be. I had a full train ride in the second row on a very hot July day and it was one of the most boring rides I have ever had on ANY coaster. I recently got a ride on Thanksgiving day when the temp was around fifty and it was a blast. Great airtime, no rattle on the helix, and the first drop did have solid ejector. It’s just a very different ride depending on a multitude of circumstances. I will always ride it though because of the high capacity, the usually stellar ops, the journey through the trees, and the bank near the Rhine River.
I've now been on Diamondback, Raging Bull, Mako and Candymonium. They're all great but I have to say that Diamondback is still my favorite, I love sitting in the back and getting whipped over those hills.
I rode Ragin' Bull. That's the only B&M Hyper I've ridden so far. Hopefully I can ride more in the future. I am thinking Diamondback will be my next one!
Bull in back is definitely my top hyper I've been on. Bull anywhere else is my least favorite. Goliath at over georgia has the strongest airtime I experienced overall though. Best experience goes to intimidator when the ops weren't even touching the lap bars. I'm 140 lbs and they had to tap it down to hit the sensor spot I had so much room. The guy only pushed it down to the sensor spot too, no further. Insane, but amazing room.
So I guess Mako only has 7 rows also. I thought I remembered 8. I remembered wrong. 🤔
It’s alright, people makes mistakes (just ask TPC). BTW, Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy thanksgiving bro!

Loved your video, the only B&M hyper that I have ridden was Goliath at Six Flags Over Georgia, and the one that I currently want to ride is Diamondback at Kings Island, it has one of the best features of any hyper coaster with the splashdown anyways great video once again!!!
It gotta be Lil’ phantom bro, it’s the best ride ever
Not a b and m hyper, too good for any b and m hyper
I am loving these new random airtime thrills video drops this week
I like Apollo's Chariot.
I love new airtime thrills uploads!
I placed Apollo’s Chariot ahead of Nitro, but I guess I just am a fanboy for AP.
I put apollo ahead of mako and diamondback 😳
I've ridden AC, Nitro, and Intimidator (CW) within last two years and AC is better than Nitro and way way better than Intimidator. I stopped watching the video after seeing it ranked 9th. There is no way I could give his list any credit.
@@gavinnicks4877Wow!
YES! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS ONE FOR SO LONG
well if goliath is like nitro then i will hate it, in fact i hate all of the B&M hypers except for orion
I haven't really traveled much from California. But 2021 summer I am going to Kings Island and Cedar Point and I am so excited to get on Diamond Back!
Mako is an elite coaster, I wish we had ANYTHING like that in southern california :(
You have Goliath at magic mountain lol.
@@user-hf3eb8lj5g Goliath is awful and was built by Giovanola... not B&M.

@@jeremydegeytere8385The best things about that Goliath is the big sign and short line.
Completely agree with Nitro getting more love, as for Candymonium I was able to get full trains on a hot day and it blew me away I could easily see it moving up 4 spots or more
Of course diamondback has a rattle, it’s theming for the ride
It's a feature, not a bug.
I love seeing raging bull so high! Riding in the back row at night while in the rain is just insane.
I got to ride Mako yesterday and I rode diamond back in September and I gotta agree diamond back is better.....very glad the only 2 ive rideen are the best😂😂😂
You should ride nitro. It’s pretty fantastic.
Been waiting for this one Chris 🥃But Candymonium without the trims is glorious..& Nitro is entirely underrated.👌🏽
#1 Raging Bull
#2 Every other Hyper

I've only rode Mako so far, but it's my favorite coaster at the moment! I hope to get to ride Goliath soon
Who else came straight to the comments? 😂
Me!
you have GOT to get on Behemoth on a hot day. I've ridden it more times than I could ever count and I have yet to get a bad ride, so when Behemoth isn't cold, it is absolutely a top tier hyper

Cries* in Goliath at La ronde being the only B&M hyper I have ridden
Goliath at LaRonde is SUPER underrated in my opinion. It's just a nonstop buffet of very strong airtime, and had zero rattle when I rode it (something most of the others suffer from pretty badly.) Also, that turnaround gives strong forces and an awesome ejector moment coming out it, and I find this preferable to the many generic hammerhead turnarounds found on the others. I've ridden all of the North American B&M hypers but Candymonium and Mako, and I would place Nitro, Goliath at SFOG and then Goliath at LaRonde as my top 3.
Ok but front row on Apollo’s Chariot while the sun sets just hits DIFFERENT
Candymonium is my favorite ride, very similar to Nitro (which is my favorite in Great Adventure).
Love the consistent uploads
You killed it dude now this is a list I can aggre with.
Phew, I got worried you were going to have Leviathan above Behemoth... Good job on the review.
Yes been waiting for this video
Goliath at La Ronde is a sleeper, it offers so much air time even though it's small. Also fun fact about why it is only 175ft, this is due to Montreal having stupidly strict zone planning. It was originally supposed to be 230ft, but it would have impacted the views of Mont Royal, which is the mountain in the middle of the downtown core. The city has strict height limits as is, and they applied this to La Ronde, which reduced the height from 230ft to 175ft.
I’m so mad rn
The extra 9th row on Raging Bull is absolutely part of what has that ride straddling great and elite.
Agree on Diamondback @ No. 1! Flawless ride. Also appreciate the love for Nitro!
Diamondback is such a solid ride! I counted a good 5 seconds of floating on the second camelback when I rode it
I'd like to see a B&M hyper by the numbers video, also, Ridden Shambhala and its awesome.
I LOVED the intro 😂 and the love for Raging Bull! 🧡
When Chris uploads at 12, you know its a good day!
Absolutely agree with you on Diamondback. World class ride every time I’ve been on it. Same with Mako another BM hyper expertly done
