The most intense roller coaster I’ve rode is Ave- I mean Rock’n Roller Coaster at Walt Disney Studios Paris
a verry intense coaster is the incredible hulk coaster in islands of advenuture
I gotta give an honerable mention to Tatsu’s gigantic pretzel loop. One of if not the most intense feeling I’ve ever had on a ride.
I can imagine because even when I went on manta at sea world Orlando, I’d never had a feeling where the blood was rushing to my brain like when I went through that pretzel loop
tbh ppl overhype tatsus pretzel loop I don't typically even grey out but I normally ride it in the mornings so that could be why@@chazgames3690
To be honest I went on Tatsu expecting to scream like crazy on the pretzel loop, I found the first drop on wonder woman harder.
I agree, Tatsu is probably my favorite coaster of all time.
Gotta agree with that. That pretzel loop is one of the few times I've ever legit greyed out on a roller coaster. And to be honest, as much as Goliath gets ragged on, that helix at the end is no slouch either!
I gotta say, I was so incredibly shocked on how INTENSE X2, Iron Gwazi, Skyrush, & Intimidator 305 were! I will never forget my first rides on those four!
Yes! That Intimidator 305 is a BEAST, isn't it?😮
i got to ride Iron Gwazi at Busch Gardens Tampa a couple days ago. very intense and fun ride
Iron Gwazi and Steel Vengeance should be swapped on this list tbh
@@Howlingburd19yeah, Iron Gwazi hits so much harder than steel vengeance
@@CommanderCoaster Iron Gwazi might be shorter and may not have as much air time as Steel Vengeance but I think Iron Gwazi packs a bigger punch. It’s more intense and has better elements! At least imo
My sister and I rode Iron Gwazi last year, and as soon as we hit the final brake run, this one woman sitting behind me (we were in the second to back row, by the way) said that the ride was so intense, she felt like her heart was beating out of her chest. Truly a testament to how insane that ride really is!
I got that same feeling on steel vengeance and my legs were shaking bc there was so much airtime
I just rode it last month. I was in mild shock afterwards. It was great!
It felt illegal for me. I love roller coasters, but this one was beyond intense!!
As a witness of the Velocicoaster, I must say that this is my favorite ride of all time, even though I have only been to Six Flags Over Texas and Disneyworld. Especially the 2nd half. I just love everything about the ride and I got off the ride with a shocked expression on my face. It's an amazing time and I recommend it :)
That Mosasaur Roll genuinely feels like the ride is trying to throw you into the water below and riding towards the back leads to being yanked over that tophat. So far the most intense rollercoaster I've been on.
Agreed
100% agree. Felt like I was out of my seat most of the ride. Completely weightless. That second half is amazing!
It was my favorite coaster until i got on steel vengeance. Now my order of favorite top 5 coasters are steel vengeance, velociraptor, hagrids motorbike, kingda ka, and merevick.
Boost Mode on Tornado honestly felt so intense I questioned how the wheels on the car could even take the force. I'm certain it's unofficially the most forceful coaster in the world in Boost Mode. From the way it feels, it has to be at least 7Gs
If you think that ride exerts 7Gs then you're actually delusional. Like I hate to say it, but that might simply be the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
yeah it's no where near 7gs and probably not even 5gs, but it probably feels that way because of the spinning.
Da real northern rides
@@VECTOR_Coasters It's not so much the spinning. The drop is extremely sharp and has a very tight valley. I believe I read somewhere that it actually does hit 5 G on normal mode, which wouldn't surprise me. Boost Mode definitely felt like the highest positive G's I've felt 😅
@@NorthernRidesYaBoi i could see that drop hitting 5g on boost mode but no way on normal mode
Eajanaika's intensity is BRUTAL. I think if someone tried to make a coaster more intense than it then it would just get shut down for health/safety reasons.
As did Mindbender, Do-Dodonpa, and many others.
Did that one a couple weeks ago. Twice. I’ve done the Velocicoaster 10x in one day and could have kept going. It’s great. But this one. After the second time I simply didn’t have the energy physically and mentally to do it again that day. It’s a steel black dragon from Valyria, itself.
Eejanaika wasn’t fun anymore it was just too much
@@jasonduffey81 I rode Eejanaika 8 times in a row a few months ago while on vacation in Japan. It was amazingly intense and only got crazier on each subsequent ride.
@@zacharycoulson3482 holy sh 😂 I would be a smoking skeleton pulling up to the station on cycle #4. You’re a mad lad!
Iron Gwazi literally left me speechless. It's such an amazing ride, absolutely a MUST ride.
It's even better at night!!
Eejanaika is absolutely mental. It’s hard to imagine how intense it is before riding, but I was shook by how crazy it was
They didn’t call the late great Dale Earnhardt Sr. the intimidator for nothing, and intimidator 305 is not only a testament to how intense roller coasters can be, but it also serves as a great memorial to the legendary racer himself!
I should know from riding intimidator seven times in a row as well as being a regular NASCAR fan!
Earnhardt was known to swerve into other drivers. It's why they call him the intimidator. People were scared to race him. The tight turns and twists perfectly emulate him jerkimg the wheel and slamming into other cars. Up there with El Toro for most appropriately named coasters
I rode Skyrush for the first time last year and I was literally horrified by its intensity, it made me feel lucky and grateful to be alive lmao
It's the only coaster that genuinely scared me. I slid out 3 or 4 inches on those air hills. Back row wing seat is almost too much.
I managed I305 11 times in one visit 10 times in the back row 1 in the front.
I was aiming for more than 11 tbh but on the 10th lap I almost blacked out and needed food and like 2 hours to recover before I felt normal again
it did things to me that I didn't know a coaster could do. It makes everything else seem like a kid's ride.
The whole Velicoaster experience is just nuts. That 2nd launch and airtime hill you really just float in air. The roll over the water is great and its probably one of the best lines to wait in if you have to
I rode Iron Gwazi as my first RMC this april, and it was more insane than I could've possibly imagined. I don't have many credits, so I didn't exactly know how it would feel, and it sure did knock my voice out. I was screaming probably the hardest I've ever screamed throughout the layout's insanely well paced elements, it was just amazing. I wish I had more time at BGT for more rides, I miss it so much.
I’d swap IG and SV on this list tbh
@@Howlingburd19 yeah fr Iron Gwazi is pretty intense ngl. I live in Sarasota which is an hour south of Tampa and Velocicoaster and IG are definitely top 2 in Florida lmao
@@ishan_p15 those are my two personal favorite roller coasters :)
@@Howlingburd19 fr
My first rmc was the Jersey Devil
The Smiler was VERY intense. 14 inversions, 2 airtime hills, and it being in Alton Towers.
The Smiler is very intense but if you get a car that is running rough it's a punishing brutal ride through that layout, I've come off of it feeling almost concussed before.
Beautiful park, insane coaster
Great ride but not that intense not compared to alot of other coasters anyway
I rode I-305 many times as a kid and had no idea it had such a reputation for intensity. It's pretty wild seeing lists like this and realizing that the lines for the coaster were short because people were "intimidated" if you will
I always had the unpopular opinion of intensity over air time and I drove out 8 hours to literally just ride X2 as it was my top bucket list attraction. It was so worth it and shot up to the very top of my favorite coasters list by a mile.
I305 is quite easily one of the most intense coasters I’ve been on and I’ve ridden El Toro and Kingda Ka. That first drop is ridiculous.
I did it 7 times in a row after eating but then we got stuck in our seats
Rode Kingda Ka and El Torro for the first time on Sunday. Kingda Ka was mid to me. Take off was awesome but the rest was eh, I was the last ride before it broke 😂🤦🏽♂️. Rode El Torro 3 times, LOVED IT .. then it also broke. But I also loved Nitro. Intimidator 305 was definitely better than Kingda Ka, but I can't see it being more intense than X2 and #2, those look insane
@@LilRick96I’m gonna tell you right now #2 (I just call it the Mika) made me laugh in sheer insanity when it was over. I’ve never experienced something like that. I can only describe it as being on the back of a pissed off steel fire breathing black dragon.
Not currently operating, but Nemesis. Goes from a helix that feels like it’s trying to pull your legs off right into a zero g roll. Packed such a punch in such little track.
I have to give honorable mention to Maverick. Between the beyond vertical drop, snappy transitions, and the tunnel launch, it packs a huge punch.
For North America the most intense coasters are undoubtedly X2 and Intimidator 305. I personally prefer X2 a tiny bit though Intimidator 305 offers airtime so that's a plus. But both are just insane experiences. You've got to hand it to Arrow for their creativity and ambition with X (though perhaps it was too ambitious for their own good.) And you've got to applaud whoever at Intamin decided that after a giga coaster drop they would use all of that speed and direct it into a tight turnaround instead of using it for a tall airtime hill or inversion. I guess they figured people would want to know what is like to ride in a NASA simulator.
Steel Vengeance isn’t overly extreme in my opinion, but it is forceful and whippy and is my personal #1!
Finally it’s here, been waiting forever!
Velocicoaster is my favourite rollercoaster of all time as it isn’t focoused on just the inversions but also the speed and other aspects. It was the first rollercoaster with inversions that I ever rode and left me with a smiley face for the rest of the day
El Toro and Skyrush have very strong airtime on most of those airtime hills. Skyrush was an amazing ride it was my first Hyper coaster ever
X2 looks insane!
Pyrenees at Parque Espana absolutely NEEDS to be on this list. It’s like the most intense American B&M invert but on steroids. Imagine Montu but with 3x the intensity, and no trims at all.
Honestly X2 is toooooo intense to enjoy. Your visual field is shaking everywhere with a concussion
The velocicoaster is one of my favorite roller coasters!
Sky Rush is the only coaster I’ve ever greyed out on. It is amazingly forceful. I think honestly the ejector air on El Toro is the most forceful thing I’ve ever felt on any rollercoaster. Btw you have to get to Hershey Park and ride Wildcat’s Revenge! It’s a masterpiece!! Great video!!
Eejyanaika was by far the best roller coaster I've ever been on. I've been on so many intense coasters that most of them are honestly relaxing for me. That one had me screaming my lungs out, and it was amazing.
Multi-dimension coasters are in a different league. I remember riding X2 when I was a young teen and being truly terrified by it.
I HATE riding Rollercoasters. But I really, REALLY enjoy their theming/mechanics/construction and, most importantly, history. Been a longtime sub and love watching this channel change and grow!
Thank you so much for supporting the channel! Awesome to have you as a fan!
I would replace Velocicoaster with Maverick, as while VC might be better, I definitely think there are many coasters that are more intense.
I really want to ride all of these roller coasters, but at the same time they still terrify me. The most intense ride that I have been on is Oblivion at Alton Towers. The drop going into the tunnel is just amazing! Love the video!
This list is pretty damn spot on in my opinion. Great job compiling this!
And I love it when smaller and more compact coasters dish out surprising intensity!
Yay, new video!
I’ve been on ride to happiness and iron gwazi, they’re ranked #1 and #2 on my list of my 106 coaster credits
I finally got to ride Iron Gwazi yesterday and it was crazy one the most intense rides I’ve ever rode!
Hells yeah. This vid was worth the wait and hype!!!
lesgoo, always love when you upload bro. You really put effort in and we can tell
I’m a little surprised I didn’t see The Beast at King’s Island on this list. The ride’s reputation makes it seem crazy intense, and I think it definitely deserves a spot.
Im still not sure how that train stays on the track. Its def intense enough to make the list and riding it at night is incredible!
One that absolutely will hit the list, but is not verry known in Europe is
"Des Schwur Des Karnan" at Hansa Park, immense drop, and insane layout for an gerstlaur.
Most brutal coaster i have ever ridden, it is just one more step more extreme
@@clubstep8244 drove 8 hours just for those 2 coasters in hansa park,
Absolutely worth it. Insane coasters.
YES! Spot on with #1. This one is amazingly nice. Raw speed at its best.
Ejanaika is insane dude. I’ve ridden it and it was just….. INTENSE
I think that Nemesis is quite intense. Also, the second vertical loop on Millennium at Fantasy Island is pretty intense too.
personally the b&m prototype inverts (batman the ride, goliath, etc.) and sit-down b&m loopers (dragon khan and incredible hulk are the two i rode) sit among the most intense on my list, higher than velocicoaster, steel vengence, and el toro. those old-school b&ms pull some bone crushing forces on those inversions and are ones that end up being a lot less rerideable for me due to their sheer prime-time intensity.
I swear I almost died on Goliath 😫
Then there is Nemesis that takes it to another level with its intense theming and use of terrain.
Old school B&Ms are built different.
Especially Kumba at Bush gardens tampa.
Ride to happiness is perfection in my opinion. It has everything you'd want in a coaster, combining moments of airtime, inversions, positives, hangtime and launches, so without being monotonous like are rides focused on a specific force. You never get bored cause the elements are so different! And for me it has the perfect level of intensity, even if for some people it could be too much (doing a coaster with the same model and even more intense could be really too much for many people and could take away from the enjoyment), but it's just so enjoyable and the most fun experience ever. Lapping it all day long without getting sick or bored of it is the best feeling ever.
The Voyage at Holiday World is an intense woodie too
Love to see the food comparisons are back😂
The coaster at Plopsaland De Panne is so unique and really different from other coasters that exist. I was a bit scared at first because it also spins and i get nausea from spinning coasters but I didn't even get sick in it! It was a lot of fun and the theme of the coaster is also one of the best festivals around the world; Tomorrowland. It makes you have a glimse of it too!😍
Ride to Happiness is an insane, incredible ride. It’s sister is at SDC in Missouri, another epic coaster.
The back row of Twisted Colossus’s First Drop always takes riders by surprise. A few of my friends are now scared of it hahaha
Most intense ride ive been on is by far X2 at magic mountain, and i was 7 years old my first time riding.
The rides on top of the Vegas Skyscraper is the most intense for me.
Copperhead strike at carrowinds is an underrated intense coaster. The inversions with only a lap bar and at times feeling like you are being whipped around by just your pelvis it is amazing.
Rode it twice last night. Superb coaster
In my personal opinion, Velocicoaster Is my favorite coaster of ALL TIME. The very fast movement on the second launch, the drop, and the mosasaurus roll just makes this ride absolute perfection. At first I was nervous on riding this, but now I feel like I could ride it every second I’m at universal. I even got the shirt which I have not regretted buying. If I had to rate this out of 10, It would break my scale. As one of this biggest Jurassic Park and World fans, I approve of this ride.
I think the definition of intense is how much a coaster throws at you in a short time. With that in mind, I'd say The Nemesis and Smiler do a good job of packing a lot of features into a small space.
There are a few ways rides can be intense, whether from a lot of forces in a lot of different directions (see: Eejanaika) or from an overwhelming amount of sustained forces (see: I305).
Been here since the start, your videos are always getting better. Your writing and jokes have improved, a lot, not that you weren't funny or good before, just better! Good job!! Keep it up
There are two wood coasters at Mt Olympus in Wisc Dells that literally pull the air from your chest. A third less intense but super rickety and forceful. I have several friends who absolutely will never ride them again because “it was just way too much”. There’s no trim breaks and they just let them rip. Completely overlooked and under appreciated in the industry. They are nuts.
Hades 360 is well-known as the first Gravity Group rollercoaster, paving the way for Voyage, as well as being one of the few inverting wooden rollercoasters in the world, and its insane pre-lift and underground sections.
Although, it's also known as an insanely rough ride, and Mt Olympus has a reputation for being somewhat sketchy.
The other rollercoasters at Mt Olympus are more overlooked. The only one I know the name of is Pegasus, and that's only because of its insanely uncomfortable, lateral-filled turn into the final brakes.
@@me-myself-i787 Agreed!
having ridden at least one of those, makes me so proud
The most intense coaster in terms of airtime is Phoenix at Knoebels. I feel lucky to get on it because I'm nearly 3 hrs away from the place in NJ... My mom won't let me get on El Toro, she's not letting me until I am like 13-14... Can't wait to ride it!!!
I'm also like 2 hrs away from Hersheypark
Intimidator 305 is my fav coaster. Such an amazing coaster. The forces are insaneeee!!!
Lighting rod at Dollywood , when it first opened was INSANE non stop air time to end with a triple down that had you begging for mercy 😢
Another amazing top 10
This is the most accurate top 10 list I’ve seen in quite some time.
No notes!! 💯💯💯
Can't believe the man himself got sponsered by food. Congrats!
Also, the most intense coaster I’ve ridden is Skyrush at Hershey
Mine Was I305
@@VelocicoasterFanboysame!
I thought Skyrush was more intense for some reason, I didn’t think I got a good ride on I305 even though I loved it, so I should probably go back
@@Wildcattttt that’s exactly what I thought
Skyrush is my most intense coaster I've ridden on.
As a British enthusiast, this video really made me realise just how behind my country is when it comes to rollercoasters. We're on our knees for an RMC and our tallest coaster is 213ft tall (that'll change next year, but it's still not even going to break the 250 mark). Still, I do get unreasonably excited and proud whenever Theme Park Crazy mentions one of our coasters, they ain't much but we still love em!
For a small country I don't think we do bad. We've got a good mix of decent modern coasters, and plenty of true classics. A lot of the issue is that unlike the US we don't have lots of space. That means building bigger or longer coasters is harder. Also, parks being typically smaller have to make their coasters have a wider appeal. A super intense ride that all but the hardcore will find one go more than enough is fine when you've got lots of other rides, but not so much when it's the main attraction.
I think it's just a shame that we can't replicate the heady days of the 90s when we had the likes of Oblivion, Nemesis and The Big One all opening within a few years.
Project Exodus (Icarus?) could well make it on to a list like this, that massive inversion is going to pull some insane forces and speed.
@@shaggydog9789 I heavily doubt it'll be called Icarus. The theme is heavily speculated to be Ancient Egyptian, and Icarus is from Greek myth. Horus is more likely, as Horus is the Egyptian sky god.
@@ChrisCooper312 I mean, quite a few rides opened this year and we do have loads coming soon! Mandrill Mayhem, Curse at Alton Manor (dark ride but it's still a pretty standout attraction) opened this year, Exodus and the new Drayton Manor coaster are coming next year and Project Horizon is coming in 2025! So we do have a good few years ahead.
This is the first roller coasters channel i ever watched been watching since 2019 even before i have a enthusiast also it has to be a 4D coaster
Great vid bro!!!
i said to myself when i saw the title.. "if this list doesnt have X2 and ejanaika in the top 3 its a fake list!" lmao well done, great list.
You didn’t mention how great the airtime is on Ride To Happiness
Honestly for me the most intense coaster ive been on was Saw the ride. That 100 degree drop is just so intimidating, it was on my bucket list for years and I finally got to ride it (along with the walking dead, and colossus) and honestly, it was the best ride of my life! I'd love to see you cover the Thorpe Park rides at some point :)
Good shout, I'd say the corkscrew in Colossus is pretty intense too, partly because of how rough that ride is these days 😅
@faves2064 oh yeah 100%. Colossus was so rough when I rode it, I had a seriously sore neck the next day. My head hit the restraints constantly.
But man that corkscrew twisted my stomach, never felt sick after a roller coaster until I went on colossus 😂
I recently went to Universal Studios and rode Velocicoaster. This one and Rip Ride Rocket are my TOP fav rollercoasters IN THE WORLD!! Velocicoaster made me feel like i was about to fall out of my seat but obviously didn't but it was SUPER fun !! I rode it twice
I finally rode Velicoaster and i305 this year... both were amazing rides and very intense! I'm happy to see Skyrush on this list too - it's crazy intense and the lifthill just adds to that....
I understand how some could consider SV more intense than Gwazi for length alone, but I definitely don’t think that’s the general opinion. For me it’s gotta be either i305, skyrush, eejanaika, or flying dinosaur for what I’d consider the most intense of those I’ve ridden. Eejanaika hits stupidly hard on the front right outside seat.
I loved the Steel Vengeance coaster when I rode it in 2019. It was my favorite coaster until just a few days ago when I rode the Velocicoaster on my recent trip to Orlando. As much as I am a sucker for airtime, I loved the theming of the Velocicoaster and my butt was out of the seat for almost all of the second half of the ride. Velocicoaster has stollen the gold metal IMO of the coasters I’ve ridden.
Batman’s 7 inversions and 2 loops is super cool
This list is like a love letter to my top 10 and a few I’m dreaming of riding 🥰. Much enjoyed! Great work!
Followed! Your content is one of my favorites and you deserve to go!
My parents used to live 30 minutes away from Kings Dominion and I remember when Intimidator 305 first opened. I went one day when it was off/on raining on a slow day and I had a chance to marathon the ride three times in a row. It was the experience of a lifetime!
After my most recent rides, I can confirm that El Toro in the second to back row is the best way to experience it
I agree with your number 1 pick, intimidator 305 is by far the most intense coaster ive ever been on, i can only handle riding it twice a day because i get intense migraines from it but its a BLAST.
On this List I only did Ride to Happiness and damn this Ride is just a 10/10 for me. Currently my Number 1
Another great video! We support all support you no matter what happens at IAAPA
Yey! New Theme Park Crazy!
By actual stats, maverick is the most intense although it didn’t feel that intense.
By feeling, the beast has to be the most intense, that final hilux is super intense. Magnum is definitely the second, the airtime is absolutely insane
Intimidator 305 is probably the most intense coaster I've been on. The Batman: the Ride I've been on is also extremely intense. I voted for Gale Force, but it wasn't as intense as I remembered when I rode it again recently. I305 isn't just intense, it's a super fun ride.
Great video though in my opinion, having ridden I305 and Eejenaika, I would not put I305 in front of the latter for intensity, no shot.
I think notably missing is one of the B&M flyers to include Tatsu or Flying Dinosaur. The pretzel loops are the most intense moments on any coaster that I've experienced.
How could you forget maverick!
God I love your videos. Can’t get enough
Great video love those coasters
I've only ridden Eejanaika but I could swear I could hear my heart beating when I was there. Ended up doing it 5 times in one day and got used to it, but it was incredible.
Eejanaika is intense as hell and I love it. If you ever visit Fuji Q please give it a ride. Just pure unrelenting intensity. It never lets up until it's over.
I always have to wonder how intense Formula Rosa is, that first turn reminds me a lot of Intimidator 305, at that speed surely it does something
I think X2, Intimidator 305, Hades 360, The Voyage, Skyrush, and Karnan are the most intense to me
Hades 360 is my favorite
@@AngelDust808 I rode it for the first time this June. Back row on that thing was incredible
Kumba is the most intense ride i’ve ridden. I don’t find Iron Gwazi too intense but that’s my opinion. I find Montu, Afterburn, Batman the ride, and arieforce more intense though Iron Gwazi is still intense
I think hulk deserves an honorable mention. That’s the only ride that consistently gets my vision easy I’ve been on. Something about that cobra roll just throws me for a loop
X2 is the most intense ride I have ever been on. Fun fact x2 was actually my first ever roller coaster
I didn't know the Tornado had a boost mode, and now I'm considering if I somehow got that by accident the last time I tried it. It felt like that was a lot more rough than the first couple of times I tried it, granted that was about 10 years ago, and my most recent visit was in April.
The first times was a lot more pleasant than the last time, where I ended up banging my head agaist the hard seat.
