I'm trying out a feature where RUclips tests different thumbnails against each other to see which one people like better! If I understand it correctly, it should select one to be the permanent thumbnail within a day or so. Usually I have the differences be pretty minor (changing the color of the outlines on the models, using the time warp effect or not, etc), but I couldn't decide which concept I liked better this time so I thought I'd try both!
The two Soundsmith strategies: 1. Elaborate tactics using weird weapon combinations that surprisingly go well together 2. "Okay, so what if we all just sit in a corner and gang up on whoever sees us?"
I love the juxtaposition of animated bits in each video. You got the high quality, pain staking, hand crafted segments with stunning animation, subtle references and secrets, detailed foley and audio work, and wonderful story telling that take a team of super talented people months of hard work... ...and then you get a GMOD clip that are so full of cursed energy they put Hakari's Jackpot to shame.
Props to sound smith for acknowledging that sandvich voice line cancels exist, but then only using it so heavy could say poot and keep his noisy sandvich eating.
I thought this would be a new taunt application for the game. That would be sick to have an actual bear trap taunt for heavy, and even sicker if he was wielding his warriors spirit

The earliest were recorded in the 50's (source, BBC) with the earliest one technically being recorded in 1947(wikipedia). so if someone was 20 in 1950, today they would be 92, and most in the audience were likely older than that. Therefore, most of them are likely dead by now. I am aware that new laugh tracks are recorded all the time, but often people tend to use the older recordings because part of the gag is that it's associated with old timey (low effort) TV shows, so you'll wanna use the old recordings to complete the joke, plus the older ones are easier to recognize due to overuse.
Could you imagine if you did the dropdown strat but instead of all the heavies in one spot, they all wait in different spots and converge into the target that passes the dropdown heavy's sight.
My favorite part is the terror meter sound from Amnesia. That gives me an idea: a pyroshark gimmick where you're supposed to be the water monster a.k.a. waterlurker a.k.a. kaernk.
