You don't even need multiple people to do this. Due to how oblivious the average player is, just use the Scottish Resistance or the Quickie (both better than stock in this instance) and just defender battlements. If an enemy sniper appears on their side, it's a non issue because the amount of stickies. I've done this a ton and it works depressingly well.
Maybe they were launching full charge stickies for a consistent landing spot, and the quickie launched them too far to be able to ark them over the wall? Thats just my guess

I did the cow mangler charge shot sniper harassment gimmick recently on 2fort and on double cross and it's so much fun just setting snipers on fire over and over again and sometimes killing them they get SO MAD. and even though it's the same as a regular rocket launcher, for some reason it psychs people out so I've had a few people change to soldier and go cow mangler and try to fight me and they just fall over their own asses.
