I love night rides, but sunset rides are just as good. I remember one on diamondback, it was like the perfect time, when you got to the top you could see just a sliver of the sun and it was amazing 🤩
Night rides for the experience, sunset for the views. My first and only ride on Goliath (sfne) was at night on the 4th of July and the fireworks were going off. All I saw was the colors of the fireworks due to the roughness of the ride. that was probably the best night ride ever.
I’d say it depends on the coaster… like the beast for example is wayyyy better at night but then some rides are better in the day becuase you can see more of the theming and all that. Personally I say night though!
Voyage at Holiday World is a good example of a ride going slow in the morning and fast in the evening. It is a drastically different experience. In the morning, I'd maybe put it in my top 30, but at night it's my #1.
Maybe the real best time to ride a roller coaster is the friends we made along the way

Last week i got a night ride on pantheon and it was LROTN (last ride of the night). they let us go 3 times in a row!
