- Note about Colorization: This video is colorized by me, not CBS. When CBS colorizes something, they take the time to go frame by frame. This video is colorized by artificial intelligence, and although it's gotten very good at pictures, it still has some ways to go with video. Because of this, I feel the colors look muted and very warm. In the future, I will continue to upload my I Love Lucy In Color Series (which is colorized by CBS and looks perfect) and will also upload my black and white best moment series (as there are way more episodes that are only in black and white then those colorized). When I upload a black and white video, I will upload a colorized version as well, it won't look amazing but think of it like a bonus.
This is the first video in my series I Love Lucy Best Moments: Part 1, now newly colorized by me! Below is a little guide because I know these titles can start to get confusing:
I Love Lucy Best Moments; Best moments from I Love Lucy in black and white
I Love Lucy Best Moments in Color!; Best moments from I Love Lucy in color
I Love Lucy Best Moments: Now in Color!; Best moments videos originally in black and white colorized
Thank you all!
Hello everyone, I recently created an account with buy me a coffee, a site where creators can get funded. Anything is greatly appreciated, and 20% of every dollar will go to the charity Feeding America. The link is here ' www.buymeacoffee.com/ross117 ', on my channel about page and in the description of my videos. Thank you so so much everyone, I hope to continue many more years of creating content

Love to see I Love Lucy in color! One of my all time favorite tv series!! Love all the characters in the tv show! All of them are great actors and comedians!
I love it too!
Ricky: "Lucy, don't you like the way I vibrate?" 2:02 This was one of the best double-entendres of "I Love Lucy."
Haha that's why I put it in!
The wonderful character actor, Shepard Menken, who played the unforgettable Jean Valjean Raymond 6:05, in "The Adagio" episode of ILL, also appeared in three other hysterical episodes of the series: "Lucy Becomes a Sculptress," "Lucy Has Her Eyes Examined," and "Paris At Last."
Oh wow I didn't ever notice!
@@Ross-117 His versatility made each of his characters unique and sort of indistinguishable from one another, especially Jean Valjean Raymond.
As far as the character actors who made brief but memorable appearances on the show, he was definitely one of my favorites. Added that special something to the scene
The plunging neckline of Lucy's blouse 5:44 was quite risque for TV back in the early 1950s. Surprised it passed the censors.
I was thinking that too!
@@Ross-117 Given that the show was prohibited from even using the word "pregnant" and that required to use twin beds, Lucy's blouse seems wild.
Happy to see Lucy's hair colour is a nice shade of red; not the orange carrot!
Right?!
This is so cool to see these episodes again but in color! When you do the colorization, is this the actual color that things were or is the AI guessing at what the colors might have been?
The AI guesses the colors might have been, and for the pictures (like the thumbnail) it’s pretty accurate. For the videos I find it anchors the color palette to a color (like yellow in the video) and doesn’t go to far away from that (I know it looks weird but when it doesn’t the colorization is wonky with colors changing on the screen). I still like the color and feel like it makes it easier to watch.
When Lucy is on the stretcher (around 1:20), Ethel's neck and chest are totally gray. When the colorization was done, someone (or whatever program was used) must have thought that was part of her dress...gray chest and neck, pink face. Same gray chest with Lucy later on. Even better - sexiest I Love Lucy line ever - "Lucy! Don't you like the way I vibrate?" Ha, ha.
Haha, it was a program that was used, interesting observation!
I noticed that on Lucy, too.
Desy was so a handsome man, so allure, so classy, so charming, ……she was a lucky woman to have him in her life 💖✨
I know, right!
Desi was an addict: sex, booze, gambling. (Before his marriage, during his marriage, and after his divorce; 2nd wife almost divorced him too.) Nothing charming about these "minor"issues.
Yes. But Desi cheated on Lucy. He ended up as an alcoholic and gambler. The 2 divorced married others but were able to stay friends. So sad.
I Love Lucy Color Love my favorite one fan Big 💖💖💖💖💖💖🎶🗽
Me too!
Color is a wee bit too pale here. A happy medium with the mostly excellent colorized episodes available on DVD would be sensational (they are just a bit too garish and the kitchen appliances shouldn't be yellow.)
Yeah, personally I prefer the colorized DVDs too, this is colorized by Artificial Intelligence so it looks a bit weird (with the yellow kitchen appliances and such). I hope eventually the technology gets better, maybe in a few years you’ll see an updated version of this!
Oh can't waite these are so cool thank you 😊🥰😻
Aw thank you!
“THAtS ADELADE”😭💀💀💀
I love that part!
I can literally watch all the seasons if they put them in color
Me too! I would watch them all again!
@@Ross-117 if you knew anything about color grading you wouldn't.
Me too thats what I hope for
They are much better in black & white! It's an art thing, plus you're watching history while being entertained. Kudos for the " I Love Lucy" cast to make such a great impact on the whole world.
@@sandybiltz2476they’d be okay in color, but not like this. Whoever colorized this is grossly incompetent and doesn’t even seem to understand what color is.
I love these colorized clips. Are you going to do more? Are u going to do episodes? How about Honeymooners episodes?
Honeymooners is a great idea!
@@Ross-117 Great. I would love to see it.
This is the old analog colorized version. The new digital version is amazing! Some are here on RUclips
Amazing job!
Thank you!
why is the colorin messed up? is this coz it's in youtube?
It was colorized using AI and by me, so the coloring does look a little weird as a result.
wow what software do you use
Lucy's face had a green tint.
I know the colorization is worse, it's because my I Love Lucy Best Moments in Color series is clips that were colorized professionally by CBS, the I Love Lucy Now in Color is my black and white videos colorized by AI. There is info on how that makes it look less realistic in the description. I know how the video looks and am always trying to improve the colorization. It requires a lot of time and work to do even a bad job of colorization, the technology for it is very new and unless one has a team of artists doing it frame by frame (like CBS) it doesn't look as good. At the moment, this is the best job someone can colorize something without that, but in the future (starting with my 'I Love Lucy Best Moments Part 3: Now in Color!' video, I will probably use a counter on the warm yellow/green like I did in the Fred and Ethel fight video from a bit ago (I thought that one looked a bit better).
@@Ross-117 All in all, it is great to see "I Love Lucy" in any colonization. It is probably the greatest sitcom of all time. The fact that the episodes were filmed has kept the series pristine all these years. I suspect "I Love Lucy" will be popular when it reaches its 100th anniversary.
I've noticed that all of them had green tints, not only the faces, but their hands. When Ricky and Fred were in the kitchen, I observed their hands.
This is not the best colorization of I LOVE LUCY. For one thing, the apartment was not green according to color film that can be found.
Yeah, I know it is not the best. It is colorized with artificial intelligence as only CBS really has the ability to go frame by frame and research the colors and train an AI with them. Especially with videos, I do notice computerized colorization tends to lock close to one color (in this case it seems to be the beige of their skin tones), it is to keep the video from looking to off from different parts of the same object with similar colors. In the Thumbnail and one of my other videos you can see the colorization by AI is leagues better with photos.
We're all a little odd, aren't we?
Did anyone notice that Lucy looked a little pale in the chest area ? Not complaining , I just noticed that her chest looked gray compared to the rest of her . I also loved Lucille Ball and Dezi Arness .
That’s due to the way I colorized it, which tends to generalize the frames and will lean towards dull colors (as opposed to bright colors) if it is unsure.
@@Ross-117 Okay , got it .
Some of these episodes were a bit crude. The episode where Lucy tied up the dancer & had her placed in the closet was absurd even for a sitcom. The dancer could have pressed charges. Ricky must have really paid off that woman besides her regular work check
I know it’s just a show but it really bothers me how they try to portray Ricky as better than Lucy when all along Lucy us gorgeous ! Also don’t like how Fred makes Ethel as unattractive when he’s clearly the lucky one !
Color wheres her red hair?
The colour is off that their skin colour looks like they are dying or dead.
Haha, I know the video colorization isn't amazing, you can see me talking about how it anchors to a specific color too much in some other comments (it is done by computers and only CBS really has the resources to train computers with images of the colors so it can do it realistically frame by frame).
🥰❤❤❤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
👏👏👏🎉🤩
😃
I would rather watch black and white over this poor colorizing job.The colors shift and change within frames.Very unnatural looking
Their skin is grey at times as well.
It's impossible to please everyone.
Don't watch it.
Agreed. The color ruins the mystique
I'd like to know what IT Guy picked the skin color
Believe in our Lord Jesus Christ❤. Not the horoscope.
True! Amen.
brown splotches all over....
CHIRSTMAS Spical
Haha kinda
Wow, she's not even redheaded. Nice try tho

You did an excellent job!!!! Thank you 😊
@@Ross-117 Of course. It's funny! Even the CBS ones where you can see all the caked on face makeup needed for black and white filming. I'll watch more, cause its like color magic. Thanks for sharing.
This was the first generation colorization, it was horrible, bleeding and strobing all over the place.
The color reproduction in the later years was excellent tho.
Horrible work
This unauthorized colorization is TERRIBLE!
that colorization is horrible
This scene was never colorized by CBS, I did it myself and don't have the same resources they do so the colorization looks less polished.
Lucy is blonde here 🤨
