I am a highly educated, switched on, and I thought I'm not that vulnerable. I got scammed! It doesn't matter how smart you think you are. The scams are super sophisticated. I feel sorry for the elderly 😢 be careful guys!!!
I know same here I got scammed aswell 😢😢😢😢
You're clearly not switched on then are you. 😂
@Thai.Farang Well I lived in Thailand 🇹🇭 and worked there as an expat. Leading an international school and my Thai friends thought I was highly educated, especially as I picked up Thai quicker than any Farang kha
One thing I've done is establish a "family password" that we all know and nobody could forget, but nobody outside of the family claiming to be one of us would ever know the answer to. Perfect end to a mum-and-dad scam. I've also told the family to never give out a 6-digit one-time code to anyone on the phone, regardless of who they say they are. Genuine companies will never ask you to tell them such a code over the phone for any reason.
I've got the same. It's Fritzel.
Absolutely love Nick, it's such a shame how bad scamming people has gotten, but he's brilliant
Nick Stapleton is so cool.
I never click on links..change my passwords and pins regularly…and I have caller ID on my landline so if I don’t know the number I let it go to message bank….and I do the same with my mobile..if I shop online I use an encrypted account company instead of giving my card details over…I never give my mobile or number to anyone I do not know and I have a separate email address for family and friends only…and one for other communications.
You've got a landline?
Was recently scammed for £40 by a company with same name as another company except their name had a slight different spelling and i found out it was china not The UK. I was so annoyed with myself because I've been scammed several times from clothes and cosmetic sites.... don't know who to trust now 😕
Yourself by the sounds of it
My policy is don't engage over text.
If a company, government agency etc contact me via text, I call them back through the number on their website, not the text.
I get scam messages day and night every day, better to assume all communication is a scam.
Stay safe.
Do NOT be rushed to make a decision.
Do NOT move your money to a safe account.
Do NOT invest in that high return ish.
Talk to someone that is naturally sceptical.
A book? when is it coming out?
Next year in time for his tour.
I was scammed in 0ctober 2016 with the release of Civ 6. 🤦🏿♂️
When scammers call just mess with them. Waste their time so someone else who may be more vulnerable won't get scammed.
Quote a movie scene. Do something fun to amuse you're while they waste their time. Once they get angry it's actually hilarious.
Don’t say anything; but good bye..
I can't stop looking at the male host's white teeth.
