- It’s one of the biggest con stories we’ve ever done. Coleen Greenwood was tricked for more than two years by the man she loved - who led her to believe he was a divorced firefighter called James. But after getting engaged and having a baby with him, she discovered that everything about him was fake, including a cancer diagnosis and an alleged vasectomy - and he wasn’t even a firefighter, even though he wore the outfit and would come home smelling of smoke! ‘James’ turned out to be a married father of three called Greg, whose family lived just down the road. Coleen joins us to tell the incredible story.

how can people get away with living two lives? it’s crazy. poor woman, she’s so strong.
Many do, many, many, many do.
Hahaha Phil knowing very well what he was actually doing 😅😅😅
i wonder were those guy get the energy and how do they remember all those lies..
When you are a mum you have to be careful who you date!
You know how she said there were no red flags or warning signs earlier on? There actually was one, as sad as this is - the two sets of flowers in one day was one. That is a sign of love bombing (because it was an excessive thing to do, and I’m sure that wasn’t a once off with that guy) I know it’s sad that we have to be cautious of something like that, but as someone who has been in 3 long term relationships with narcissists I can attest to ignoring red flags such as these. You have to trust your gut over any feelings of excitement or loneliness or whatever it may be - trust your gut!
What sort of signs did you ignore?
Exactly this, the excitement, lust and desperation to be with someone clouds your judgement.
Oh Philip. It’s a bit hard to hear u right now

My first thought precisely
It was like a race for who could get through the story the quickest 😂
The irony.. Living double lifes.. Boo hoo Philip. Poor woman telling her hurtful story 2 a corporation thats hiding another double life
Lovely looking lady...wow . Bless her
Are we looking at the same person or are you taking about holly
I hope his real wife has run for the hills after all that.
Beautiful woman, best of luck to her.
Phil was taking notes
Winnie Wallace..How do they lead two lives...Something isn't right here..
Sounds like there were some red flags- love bombing, at least. Not her fault at all, she didn’t know any better, but I wish more people were educated about different red flags in relationships so they could know what to look for and avoid dangerous people
There's the whole story in a series of short episodes on BBC sounds. Title Love Bombed. Those episodes goes into more details about the elaborate deceit and why it appeared so real. It wasn't simply a case of a few too many flowers. It was way more complicated thst that.
For instance he invented people and created email addresses for them. There were some (now unidentified) people that the lady was introduced to as whoever. She heard other people speaking on the end of the phone about tbings he'd told her. He shook hands with an estate agent on a deal for a new house and got other friends and family involved in fake charity and rugby club deals and events.
Why do men do this? I just can't imagine why anyone would want to spend one minute being a complete liar!
Because women want them that's why 😅
Typical answer from a guy. I know lots of women who are not that way.@@jacobs3031

Nuts.
You have to watch out for covert narcissists, they have no conscience and are delusional
bleeding a double life is very common for them
