- Angel Lynn has said her first word in 3 years since she was left with severe brain damage after falling from a moving van. Angel was just 21 when she suffered catastrophic brain injuries from falling out of a moving van at 60 mph after being kidnapped by her boyfriend.
Angel Lynn's parents say they look back 'all the time' and wish they had noticed the signs of coercive control on their daughter.

There is nothing like the love of a parent for a child. ❤️
You know what's crazy? It's that her bf was jailed for 12 years and his accomplice for not even a full two years (21 months I believe). Her life will still be in danger because this corrupted justice system is lenient and gives free way to attempted murder. Wish her all the best. She's a strong girl.

I saw a documentary showing footage of her being kidnapped but I feel gutted for her & her family if they gave him a mild sentence. The corrupt system in this country makes me sick

Unbelievable strength from Angel and her parents. Hopefully, this is just the start of the next phase of her recovery.
The police still won't take women seriously who are victims of controlling, abusive partners! They won't help or do anything unless your dead or harmed 😢 police need to be re trained, delt with when dismissing and belittling women who try and report it and are ignored or not taken seriously. Laws NEED to change about narcissistic, controlling behaviour! Bless Angel ❤ keep getting stronger!

What amazing parents. Their story has opened my eyes so much, with two teenage daughters , coercive behaviour was something I would never have thought about. Thank you for raising awareness and I wish Angel every good wish under the sun. Her bravery and strength is amazing.

In my home country, Australia, violence against another person by someone they know or have intimate relations with is a joke. We need to update the laws and implement more preventative, protective, and educational systems for everyone to stay safe.

What an unbelievably strong young lady, at least she managed to utter the word ‘mum’ despite her very severe injury, that’s a great start. Hopefully with continuing treatment and intervention, her condition will improve slowly but surely but it’s difficult to say at this time what the future will be like for her. Some may think she may never get back to how she was before, but I certainly hope that she will have improved dramatically with the ever advancing science.
