I love khaki green, and all cool-toned greens, my favorite is the pale sister of khaki, sage green. Greens are so versatile, they combine well with so many other colors. I love them with pinks, and for warmer-toned people, corals and peachy tones. Great trends update video, Gemma, thanks❤

Leopard, Khaki, Denim - good job we didn't get rid of these when we were told they were out!! I love burgundy too - and usually look for a coat in this color. Not of red for myself, but love it on others. Fall clothes are always so exciting!

Another great video Gemma❤❤ I love all the greens from emerald to loden they always get a feature in my fall/winter wardrobe. Working at a university denim is always on trend! I recently bought a long denim trench coat for the traditional weather or to wear in the office. Crop jackets are great because I’m short waisted and they fit well. I guess the only “trend” I really won’t be on board with are the exaggerated turtleneck collars . I don’t like to get make up on the fabric lol.

I bought a few items this year in red, for the first time, in the cooler-toned reds that suit me best. I was really surprised at how flattering they are, they brighten and “pink-up” my pale coloring, and wish I had tried them earlier, I’m 64. I also love burgundy and will continue to wear it, so I’m happy that this color will be more widely offered again this season. I also love cool pale pinks, but the more orangey peach and blush seem to have pushed out the pinks this season. I prefer animal prints in small to medium amounts in my outfits, like in a bag, belt or shoes, or a shirt, at most. I won’t be wearing it tip to toe and shown by designers. I would like to find an animal-print jacket, but I haven’t found one I like in the natural fibers I need. Faux fur ones are common, but they’re far too warm for my mild climate, too, in addition to being non-breathable. All in all, I think the trends this season are more wearable than most. Above all, I’m absolutely thrilled about the return of more classic, tailored and elegant styles. I think we all got our share of gym-wear, sweatpants, leggings and sweatshirts during the pandemic (I still wear them when home alone, if I can find natural-fiber ones). I never want to see another drawstring again! I don’t understand why brands are still adding them to everything. They dangle sloppily, make a bump on the tummy when tied, and are completely unnecessary, the waists are fitted fine without them.

This is the first season in a long time where I have felt my style and style needs are represented on the catwalks. Burgundy, navy, greens, blacks, chocolate brown...I cannot wait to get stuck into my winter wardrobe. Happy to see funnel necks back, and a move away from so many boxy, double breasted, unflattering shapes. The only purchase I will need to make will be a new pair of black over knee boots and perhaps a faux fur coat. I will absolutely impulse buy some of those red items! But the rest, I've owned items for years that will see a light again this season! Happy days

I never got rid of my animal print items, I thought they would be back. I think animal prints have become classics by now, even if they’re not as frequently worn as once they were, maybe ten years ago. In addition to leopard, I have also been seeing lots of snake-print items in shops. I like both of these, at least in the neutral, natural animal colors and in reasonable, wearable scales. Bright red or turquoise, or lime-green, or blown-up to huge scale, animal prints never looked good to me. Because I have cool-undertoned coloring I look for those animal prints based on off-white and black or cool-toned browns, rather than those with a lot of golden, yellowish hues. I hope we see more cheetah prints again, too, I think those are my favorite of the animal patterns and the scale of them usually suits petite me very well. I just bought a pair of ivory/black snake-print, mid-heeled, sandals and they feel quite fresh again. I think we all just needed a bit of time off from so very much animal print everywhere. We do get a little tired of trends when they saturate the market. I hope brands will offer a variety of styles instead of deluging us with just one or two a season, the trend cycles go too fast these days. I try to stick to more classic items to prevent my whole wardrobe suddenly looking out-of-style all at once. Brands want us to feel quickly out of style so that we keep buying constantly, but that’s entirely in their interest, not ours.

Love your channel. Some years things are in style that one person likes and then there has to be a year that those trans are not liked by everyone. I liked the bigger shoulder clothes, but I don’t care for the leopard print, red too much, olive green. But there are always things that each of us can wear.

I took a fashion design class at a community college in the 80s. I included a leopard print coat in my project, feeling like it was a nod to the 50s and being a classic. My instructor disagreed, saying it was a trend. Here we are 2024... 🐆🐆🐆 😉

Thank you for this brief but informative presentation. I recently ordered a denim utility dress from Talbots. I am looking forward to receiving it. I hope it fits. I kept my leopard print button up from two years ago and I also have a leopard print silk scarf with a burgundy border also from Talbots. I wore my Coach burgundy handbag today that I purchased about 4 years ago. It's always good to buy classics.

The faux fur trend has added maintains of plastics to landfills. Unfortunately, the thin plastic faux fur fibers break off, get matted or clump together (like the fibers of an old carpet) and they don’t last as long as wool fibers.

I have to say, I really dislike the latest fashion trend where baggy, loose, 5x your size is suppose to look great. There is nothing attractive about it. It looks like a homeless person wearing what's given to them or wearing your dad's jacket. With today's inflation, we don't need to waste all the extra cotton or fabric materials to make a pair a pants. I can not wait for this style to be out of fashion soon, it does not look attractive at all. Some even wear thick gunky shoes to match. I might as well purchase men clothes if I want to wear them that loose.
