Lyrics: Your face is burned inside my brain I lost my way Your taste, a stamp flows through my veins The cost of hate ‘Cause you’ll never understand me You want me to stay You’re c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you I’m not listening anymore You’re subject to falling but I can’t save you I don’t see you anymore The race of slowing down the pain, I found a way The pace of speaking so mundane, the sound of gain But you’ll never make me happy So I’ve extinguished the flame You’re c-c-c-calling, but I cant hear you I’m not listening anymore You’re subject to falling, but I can’t save you I don’t see you anymore And what you want me to say I’ll never say You’re playing the game that I’ll never play So what do you want from me? Now I’ve extinguished the flame Your c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you I’m not listening anymore You’re subject to falling but I can’t save you I don’t see you anymore You’re c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you, I’m not listening anymore You’re f-f-f-falling, but I can’t save you I don’t see you anymore
I'm captivated, I'm touched emotionally, I'm memorized, I'm swept away by this, I'm disappointed that I've never heard this b4 now, I'm thrilled that I hear it now
Mid 2000s Rock Music really shaped me to the person I am today (I was like 8/9 years old then), and I'm glad I fell in love with it And why are the most underrated songs and bands from that era so good??
a decade ago this song used to be my anthem when I was in my early 20s. All the time after coming from college I used to put on my Mp3 player and used to listen to this classy track on repeat.
I don't know why everytime I always play this song, the beginning riff reminds me of Tool... but my god can I just say how much I love this song? fucking epic song here.
Yeidy Va.Ga. yea I know hated 2 hear about Maynard RIP!! Btw I lov it myself I used 2 run down tha street backwards on headphones while on stamps peace/love
I saw them live in Nashville back in 2008. The lead singer tripped over a speaker..rocked harder than ever, then went into the crowd to mosh it up. Real champ right there.
Why do people need to say "its 2017 and im still listening to this" or "why don't they make music like this anymore???" Music is universal. Doesn't matter the decade, you can still enjoy nice music. Music from all decades are good and have their own style. Why need to be so exclusive? I don't get it. Just enjoy music that sounds good to you, end of story. I love old songs, new songs; as long as they sound nice to my ears. I feel sad for those who only like one type of music, cause their palette is so small, and they don't get to experience all types of sounds and feeling.
I'll never forget I was gonna see Taproot live at the Webster Theater in CT back in like 01-03 somewhere around there, I was like 15-16 I went to concerts nearly every weekend but I had been suspended from school 2 nights before the show and my mom ripped up my tickets and wouldn't let me go and I never got to see them live... ever. I'm still mad at my mom for that to this day lol.
I miss my taproot!!!! Been playing your music all week. Can't get enough and want more! I'm a taproot junkie xoxoxo Steve 😘 no one can perform like you my boy 💋
Glad to see these guys decided not to stay retired for too long and are putting music out again. Got to meet them back in the day and they were and are some of the nicest and coolest guys you could ever hope to meet. Been following them and a fan since the beginning.
Heard Poem on the radio ages ago... Top 5 bands for me nowndays! Anyone else? such a diverse catalog! (listen to their cover of "get outta my dreams". super cute

I remember listening to this with my brother playing world of Warcraft in like 2005...the things you remember when you're stoned at 3:30 in the morning
Loved gift and welcome back in the day but blue sky research didn't catch my attention and i regret it because now i love it, taproot is awesome, greetings from chile southamerica! 🙏🏻
Taproot is truly a good band. Who really cares what he or she labels it as. All of their albums have had good writing. Anyone who will say this is sellout material clearly hasn't really listened to the previous albums.
I remember hearing this years ago and ill never forgot this song and how amazing it is. Keep rocking on guys and never change cuz your music is amazing
Lyrics:
Your face is burned inside my brain
I lost my way
Your taste, a stamp flows through my veins
The cost of hate
‘Cause you’ll never understand me
You want me to stay
You’re c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you
I’m not listening anymore
You’re subject to falling but I can’t save you
I don’t see you anymore
The race of slowing down the pain, I found a way
The pace of speaking so mundane, the sound of gain
But you’ll never make me happy
So I’ve extinguished the flame
You’re c-c-c-calling, but I cant hear you
I’m not listening anymore
You’re subject to falling, but I can’t save you
I don’t see you anymore
And what you want me to say I’ll never say
You’re playing the game that I’ll never play
So what do you want from me?
Now I’ve extinguished the flame
Your c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you
I’m not listening anymore
You’re subject to falling but I can’t save you
I don’t see you anymore
You’re c-c-c-calling but I can’t hear you, I’m not listening anymore
You’re f-f-f-falling, but I can’t save you
I don’t see you anymore
🙏💗

I'll never forget I was gonna see Taproot live at the Webster Theater in CT back in like 01-03 somewhere around there, I was like 15-16 I went to concerts nearly every weekend but I had been suspended from school 2 nights before the show and my mom ripped up my tickets and wouldn't let me go and I never got to see them live... ever. Awesome song
One day I'll stop listening to Taproot. After all I can't live forever.
Still one of the best albums. The two tunes done with Billy Corgan were phenomenal as well. Far away the best vocals taproot produced.
Glad to see these guys decided not to stay retired for too long and are putting music out again. Got to meet them back in the day and they were and are some of the nicest and coolest guys you could ever hope to meet. Been following them and a fan since the beginning.
Saw them at HoB in Orlando.. Taproot, 30 sec to mars and Chevelle. It was hands down the best show ever.
No matter how many times I've seen this, the end never fails to creep me out! Love the symbolism of it.
After growing up listening to taproot I finally learned this song on guitar. The clean riff is so good
