cold has always been relaxing to me, even their harder songs, there is just something about cold's sound that lifts a weight off my heart, even all these years later, thank you for existing cold
Well said man, doesn’t matter who wrote what. It’s cold’s music in general. We’re all thankful they exist. Best music to listen to when I’m feeling down or just don’t care.
Fun fact: story has it Rivers Cuomo of Weezer wrote all the lyrics to this song and he sang all the harmony backing vocals and the lead vocals on the Woah Woah Woah Woah part. It came to be when Cold and Weezer were playing a festival together and Scooter Ward of Cold went up to Rivers and said "how do you write such catchy songs with the big chorus that gets radio airplay? our songs are great but long and lacking that catchy hook for radio or MTV"...he gave Rivers a cassette with some riffs labeled Stupid girl and the next day Rivers came back with the arrangement and lyrics...Rivers didn't even ask to be credited however Cold did give him writting credits. This song went on to be the only song Cold had that was in heavy rotation on MTV 2 and Fuse, received radio airplay and was their only song to crack the top 100 on the Billboard charts.
The thing that is understandable and weird is the fact that he dislikes the song because of the fact that he didn't write it, I can now hear the weezer in this song
Every word you said is exact fact and in an interview scooter said he actually has some bad feelings about this song because of it in reality being Weezer's song and not a true cold song. I remember buying this cd overseas when I was in the Navy! Damn 2003...where’d the time go?!
2021. Fan for 20 years now :)
"Im a loner im looser, in my mind im a bad one im a good one im a sick one with a smile" loved that line since i was 15 fuckin 31 now and its more true than ever....
🗣️
*I was older when the 2000s brought music like this, in many ways. Cold, Breaking Benjamin, Evans Blue, Taproot, etc. It was good to listen to then, but I haven't looked back. I was more of a 90s metal and grunge guy.*
This is one of my most favorite songs in the history of music.NO BULLSHITTING!!!
The last words in the video made my YEAR.
"Met another girl, ...(laughs)...which is always the best remedy!"
I was 14 when this song came out and I'm 28 now and it still feels like it just came out ♥️
Shhhhh... I'm a year older than you and I hate how this makes me feel

Passion is the fruit of Love And it's different levels. TODAY I FORGIVE Myself. I have no shame. I am Amazing, Love, Light, and egoless. There is nothing wrong with my Lifetime
Dude, Year of the spider is one of my favorite albums to this day. Still listen to it all the time. Even got my 4 yr old into it. Great times. 🤘
Holy shit! Anyone else see that gothic Abraham Lincoln playing the drums?

They all look like vampires.
@@Wolfdragon92584 They are 😅😉
Hellboy is hell on those drums.
For the first time I really feel this song. Wasn't even because of a girlfriend, just a friend who decided to blame me for a tragedy I had nothing to do with. None of my failed relationships made me feel as pissed and hurt as this. And I know she only said what she did in grief but what she said stabbed me like a knife to the heart.
One thing's for sure: It's definitely Cold out there.
Seeing this on MTV at like 7am right before going to Highschool or whatever time this came out. Fucking perfect from the first listen, and ages like fine whiskey...cuz it just gets better and better. With age and experience.
Forever Cold 🤘
Between 2000 and 2005 this was the last great period of music back when practically every band that had a pop punk sound was being signed didnt matter if you had a hit song if you sounded good you got a record deal. Funny thing was bands like cold, unwritten law, rise against, fuel defined the 2000 to 2005 pop punk sound.
dont you mean 1992-2014
Such an underated band. One of my favorite bands
I wish it was the early 2000s again.
This was literally the song that got me into rock music
Amanda Cassidy grate!!
Amazing! ❤✌
I'm jealous of his icy blue eyes. He's got an awesome baritone voice too.
2022 and I'm still listening, love this song.
Watching the entire Smallville series and I can't believe the bands and or songs they have it. After nearly every episode I'm on RUclips looking up music that was long forgotten. This happens to be 1 of those songs.
2021 baybyyyyyyyy
The song that made me fall in love with Cold ❤
A decade later and I still love this song.
Top 10 all time favorite bands. Met Scooter outside the venue & he asked for a ride to the skate shop. We talked about music, Florida & a few tour stories lol Coolest guys, so down to earth & crazy talented! Always love for Cold!! 🤘🏻😆🤘🏻
