i think music changes with times too. in 90s there were lots of angry people who wanted to bring out what they really felt(thats why slipknot, linkin park got well recieved and popular overnight because there were people who were tired and needed deeper lyrics to relate). metal at some point in 80s became this (too)cheesy hair metal to get girls. thats why lots of bands started to write on more serious and deep stuff. in 80s also was big mainfocus the guitarist to drop solos i think this became overused and tired then bands bringed in more elements. i think limp bizkit got allot hate just because they were huge back in the day. its like we had pop bands and limp bizkit was as popular in air play. perfect target for bitter people who saw band with metal elements got into popularity. people can whine on limp bizkit but they were huge too in impact. the drumming was different and they had dj usually this wasnt in metal. my opinion.

Nonpoint may be the most underrated band of all fucking time!!! I can't count the times their music has changed my outlook in my life when times were starting to get me down.
