I was stuck with iPhone for ten years and Pixel was the best way to leave them. I personally have never dealt with any Pixel bug. After a while you realize Apple doesn't innovate, why does Siri still suck, why are you still forced to arrange a home screen icons how they want you to, why do you have to pay $999+ for hardware features that Apple says are "pro" but yet find the same 'pro" features on sub $800 Androids.. just a thought. But again to each their own.
Hey hey hey...no ..no ...iphones are the best. Everyone says it so it's gotta be true. And I won't try another phone cause I believe what everyone says I'm dumb

I think Google is doing the right thing by focusing on year over year improvement. That's how Apple got to be as big as they are. The other thing is Google needs to sell their products in more countries if they really want to grow their hardware base.
Google Pixel needs its software and hardware and features, also to work in other countries outside North America, Europe, Australia.. It should also make versions that will work in other countries. Features such as E-Sim, Call screening are not available in all countries.
@@Greyhun everyone's usage pattern is different so I wouldn't rely on asking people on how long their battery lasts. If you're a heavy user I'd say go for the mid range androids that have big batteries that last three days or something. But on paper the pixel batteries have adaptive battery so it should last you the whole day (24 hours) and 72 hours if you use extreme battery saver.
I've been a strictly apple user since the first iPhone (I was 21 when it was released) ever since then I've had just about every iPhone. I started yearly upgrading with the 11 pro. This year I got the iPhone 15 pro. I watched the pixel keynote and was impressed. When pre order rolled around I pre ordered the 8 pro and the regular 8 to see what one I like better. It was a fairly easy crossover. I've never used a android and I must say I was impressed with Google OS. I thought I wasn't gonna like it at all and not get the hang of it but I am. I went with the 8 pro and my husband is going to use the pixel 8 I bought. He switched from iPhone to the flip 5 this year and it wasn't such a easy transition for him. So he's wants to try the pixel out. I also went with the pixel watch 2 (I had the series 8 Apple watch) and I went with the pixel buds pro. So far loving everything about the switch.
@@fromplacetoplace2008 yes i think so. I’ve used all three and I’ll say the easiest one and closes to a iPhone to use right away out of the box was a pixel. My husband went from a iPhone to a Samsung and had some trouble but now he’s using a pixel and loving it. I sadly went back to my iPhone after about two months of the pixel but that was for the reason of the ecosystem.

Have both ios and android device. Dailying iphone 15 pro, and switched from s23 to pixel 8. Pixel's android is really close to what ios can offer, feels like at this point it is really up to personal preferences as both os are very clean and mature
How is the haptic and keysound on Pixel compared to iOS ? I have iPhone and Pixel 5, on Pixel 5 Vibration is bad and sound also But iPhone is nice feeling and love the clicky sounds
iPhones hardware is just superior more polished etc imo. Pixels AI is superior and user friendly and if in Google ecosystem for work the workflow with Google suite is awesome! I do like the Pixel though. I also like Chromebooks a lot and have two but also have MacBook. I like both platforms if able just get both 👍🏻
Yep the Pixel 8 is moving in the right direction , but a putting in better modem would have gone a long way to making the Pixel line truely compete against iPhone and Galaxys
@@trilingualkid well I have the S 23 which I was going to sell after I got the pixel 8 that was but in areas where the S 23 has no problem with connection or running warm The pixel eight connection is not as strong and it runs warm and so the battery life is not as good. standby time is definitely not as good. I’m assuming that’s because of the modem . I’m no phone expert I can just tell you the S23three is a much better phone when it comes to the processor/modem.

I switched, after 13 years with Apple. It wasn't as hard as they make it out to be. Yeah I miss some features like Airdrop and continuity, but overall I'm loving this Android experience! It gives me more freedom than any iPhone ever could.
@@MarshallClicksPhotography oh yeah a couple of people I know have Android but the majority of people I'm around are iPhone users. So I only get to use it very seldom.
Yeah, not for long. Apple is now getting SUPER customizable soon! More than I ever thought they would. iOS looks better than just about anything Apple has done yet since Dark Mode.
Pixel is thriving here in india with market growth above 110% yoy. Also google will be manufacturing pixel devices in India in 2024 as per the news sources.
I've done it. I switched as a frustrated and sad iPhone 13 mini Lover to an Pixel Fold 512 GB. Google needs to bring back the Pixelbook. Still using the original Pixelbook daily, better now than ever. Use the Pixelbook go as a secondary. They just need to nail the pricing on it, which won't happen unfortunately.
If Google comes out with a Pixel Watch that is on par with or rivals the Apple Watch Ultra (2), I’ll switch. The watch is really what’s holding me back.
@@EllEmm149 You’re entitled to your own opinion. As for me, I rely heavily on the watch, and the battery life, workout features and interface and design appeal to me more on the Apple Watch Ultra. Also, not having to sign up for a separate service (FitBit) keeps me in the Apple camp.
I was a professional systems administrator in the Apple and NeXT world for many years. I've owned or used nearly every Apple computer from the 128K to Macbook Pros of 2019. But I got on Android and not the IOS phone from the very start. I liked custom ROMs and hacking to force tethering when iPhone couldn't or was made to pay $30 extra a month on Verizon. I use a Pixel 6a and a $25 cheap Chinese smartwatch knockoff (Tozo S2). Perfectly acceptable to me. I'm so much happier using something that won't kill me if it gets stolen or broken, and I paid half the price that I could have with Apple. Perfection is the enemy of good enough.
So how does the Pixel watch 2 compare to the Apple Watch Ultra? That is what is hysterical, kind of like comparing a Ford Pinto to a Mercedes. That truly does keep many iPhone users from switching.
I switched to Pixel after 13 straight years on iPhone a couple years ago. It wasn’t hard to switch. I loved the Android experience and came close to buying a new Pixel 8 Pro. Instead I got an iPhone 15 Pro Max through a carrier deal to go along with my iPad Pro and MacBook Pro. I was tired of missing the texts in my family’s group chat. But I won’t be getting another Apple Watch. I like my Pixel Watch much better and was never a fan of the Apple Watch. I’m going to try to find a deal on a Pixel 8 Pro so I can just roll with both. Life’s too short to just deal with Apple’s boring trajectory. I’m already missing the Pixel camera and am finding it more difficult to get clear shots on this iPhone. And then there’s the horrible lack of easy customization.
Before seeing this video, I'm sticking with pixel. From 3, 5 i love the smaller size, simplicity of operation, rich balanced features and delightfully uncomplicated software. And it keeps getting better.
I was stuck on the iphone hype until i broke it with the Pixel Fold. I love my Fold and looking forward to the next Pixel Fold, however I think Google should start repairing their own phones and open more stores.
I would agree with almost everything else but we have to recognize that Pixel products do not keep a good value after a year even for a simple trade-in.
So far yes but once they improve like apple is it will be different also with 7 years of update there is literally no problem even of you keep the phone for 4 years $699 is more than worth it.
I mean, you buy a Kia and it doesn’t resell like a Toyota just because they started to become more reliable two years ago… you have to show consistency over many years to earn that value.
I switch between Pixel phones and iPhones, and while I stand by my opinion that Android is much more intuitive to use than iOS, their hardware Avd software issues are persistent. App crashes, overheating, failing hardware, sluggish performance, poor reception all still plague Pixel phones. iPhones are expensive, but they are made extremely well and rarely do I ever have any hardware issues or major software bugs. Out of the roughly 6 Pixel phones I've owned, most of them had some sort of serious issue, and it's just hard to be loyal to a phone that is so reliably unreliable. The ecosystem and reliability of iPhones are unmatched. I'm typing this on a Pixel 6a that takes a few moments to register charging after I've plugged the chord in and where the power button doesn't want to work half the time.
Honestly, I am torn. I had an iPhone 7 and an Apple Watch 3 which I loved. In 2020 when it was time to upgrade - I was actually pissed at Apple at that time. I wanted an iPhone 11 Pro I think it was...but I did NOT like "forced" gestures, I liked having a home button and Touch ID. I didn't want a "cheap SE iPhone..." I looked into Pixel - which was a different phone back then (allowing icon shape change anyone?) and the Pixel 5 just had everything I wanted then. I don't regret leaving Apple then - and I was DEEP into the ecosystem! I had the watch AND an iPad hooked to my phone! I didn't care, I wanted a home button (3 button navigation) and Touch ID! So I left Apple and switched to Pixel. I am now at a point where I'd like to go back to Apple. I didn't think much about leaving Pixel until I got the Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2. I thought this was going to be the BEST Pixel phone yet. Got it October 2023, It's June 2024 and I am on my 3rd Pixel 8 Pro! Now I know why they said the hardware isn't good! My 1st Pixel 8 Pro had a horrible random restart issue, it would reboot BY ITSELF whenever it wanted. Sometimes it'd be on the table doing nothing, sometimes I'd be scrolling, sometimes I'd be showing someone something on my phone. HATED it! Got sent a 2nd Pixel 8 Pro and everything seemed good. Well why wouldn't my Pixel Watch 2 suddenly not connect to Cellular? Google and Verizon tried EVERYTHING - even sending a 2nd watch (it didn't connect either so it wasn't the watch) the only thing that fixed it was getting a THIRD Pixel 8 Pro. And truthfully, I prefer the square watch face of my old Apple Watch 3 anyway. I have now given gestures a try after using 3 button navigation forever. I still prefer my Touch ID over Face ID...but I'd say after seeing the upcoming iOS 18 for the iPhone, they're actually getting MORE customization than Pixel at this point. But I am stuck with the choice I made for now. Once this Pixel 8 Pro and Pixel Watch 2 are paid off...I am coming back to Apple. Only Touch ID, emoji kitchen, Magic Eraser, call screening and a few other things I'd likely miss from Pixel. It's okay, maybe next time I will get a phone with forced Face ID and no option of Touch ID, but at least it'll likely actually work right the first time.
I switched to pixel and never looked back. For years now apple have been focusing on exclusive iPhone to iPhone features , I never use these due to half the people I know having android phones. Having said that I think any phone these days is fine for day to day needs.
Google has the WORST customer service, and I hate not being able to walk into a brick and mortar to speak to someone who actually has skin in the game.
Google just has some nice quality of life features that make it hard to switch. Apple isn't offering anything innovative or compelling at this time. If they ever do, revisit them. For now, stick with the Pixel devices.
@@Jo5ue1 I know exactly what you mean, there's too much on my Pixel that I love. But in a way I would love to try a new iPhone too. I think they're both really good. The Pixel just still seems so futuristic if you know what I mean.

I’ve tried the Android eco system twice. Hated the experience each time. My wife has a Pixel and seems to like it. Just don’t trust a third attempt at leaving the IPhone eco system.
I switched from iPhone 13 Pro Max go P8 Pro used it for a month while its a really good phone I had to go back simply because here in the United States everyone I text and talk to are all on iPhones with iMessage and they strictly use that and no other messaging apps like WhatsApp
I feel this. I prefer Android over iOS but literally everyone in my circle of communication uses a damn iPhone. I’ve tried going back to Android so many times but when I can’t even send a picture reliably, let alone a video, ( don’t get me started ) what am I supposed to do? They won’t use a third party app and I can’t even share pictures or basic videos reliably. So back to iPhone I went. It sucks how far up Apples ass the US is. Just my opinion.
@@Rinnara21 WhatsApp is very popular in many countries, yes. But in the US, if you have an iPhone you use iMessage. That’s it. North American’s LOVE their iMessage. Lol
A loyal user base. I really don't understand that concept. I feel no emotional attachment to any company. I'm only loyal to certain people. A phone for me is a utensil, it doesn't offer quality of life. Apple's ecosystem is much more refined than Google's, but that doesn't make me loyal. It keeps me captured. Switched to a Pixel after more than 15 years of iPhone usage and I'm satisfied. Maybe I'll switch back somewhere in the future, but only if the user experience gets better, meaning I'm able to customise iOS the way I want to. After all, it's my phone and I don't want Apple to tell me what's best for me.
I switched after the iPhone 6 "batterygate" debacle to the Pixel 3 and never looked back. I love my Pixel 8 and can really notice a thermal performance difference compared to the Pixel 6 Pro. This is coming for someone who plays Pokemon GO religiously.
iPhone users are not critical thinkers. They buy whatever apple produce, and never look beyond the apple eco system. To most iPhone users, everything else is just not an iPhone... and therefore is just not on their radar. As a user of both android and apple phones... I would love to not have to use the iPhone at all. If google dumb-down android to attract iPhone users, it will degrade the user experience and reduce the adaptability and flexibility of android phones and tablets.
Hum so the founders of the company I work at only use Apple products. One was previously one of the first employees and went on to be VP of Product of a company that IPOd for 16 billion after COVID, a period where IPOs froze. They founded a company that at the moment is now worth 3 billion. The CFO has an iPhone. I went on a call with a bunch of founders and VC partners last week, everyone use Apple products. These people fund and found incredible companies. And no, no one of these people and me are in the US, all Europe, so saying iPhone/Apple users have no critical thinking is totally wrong and not a good attitude to have. What Apple users want is something that works reliably and gets out of their way because you have so much on your plate at all times
im an iPhone user and I hate my phone I'm going to buy a pixel 7 as my next phone as I already have a Chromebook and love how the pixel software and hardware looks
Hilarious, the Apple store is a dreadful experience and the Apple eco system is just a set of bad decisions. Apple relies on product placement, marketing and people not doing any research when buying producta. In 2023 it is very hard to think of a single reason to buy any Apple product. Pixel is just one of many superior alternatives. Also cross platform support is more important than an eco system
Watching before video I’m typing my comment i already switched 8 pro pixel watch 2 buds pro ❤ And also keep my iPhone 15 pro max Apple Watch ultra 1 AirPods pro 2 😅 i have only esu with pixel little bit battery life 😊
I'm planning my switch from 10 years of IPhone to Pixel. After reading & watching countless videos, there are still many unresolved issues with no solution (yet): - Airpod Pro 2 are irreplaceable (the PixelBuds are nowhere close in micro & noise cancelation quality) - Apple watch is far better than the Pixel watch - I can't airplay music to my home theater system - I can't remote the Apple TV any longer - I can't transfer the Apple live photos to Google Photos without losing the live feature :( - Find-My : I could use the Apple Website to use find-my for my remaining apple products - Linking Apple Notes with Google Keep should be feasible but not sure - I can't airdrop full resolution photos to my macbook and, worse, not to anyone I encounter on a trail or a hike in the nature without access to internet etc. Once I figure out solutions for the problems listed above, I will switch. The camera on the Pixel 8 Pro is far superior (not only from a technical, aka sensor size, perspective but also from a usability & feature perspective: the Pixel lets you take long-exposure shots and motion-blur shots for fast moving objects). I wish it was easier to switch..
I find the use of Google Drive and Docs the best way to transfer files, pics, etc., between devices smooth and simple. I have an Android phone, a MacBook Pro at home, and a PC at work. I can transfer anything on all three devices. So no complaints here.
I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max for personal use. I also have the Pixel 8 Pro for work phone. I've been a true IOS fan but I really like my Pixel. If I had iMessage on my Pixel, I would strongly consider only using Google. It's a damn good phone up next to my iPhone
I love how ever since I had my seven pro pixel and now on the eight pro who will pixel non-stop. I get compliments about my phone and everyone always wants to see it let alone Android's customization. I don't see how anyone would stay on the iPhone. I'm sorry if I sound rude.
Just keep in mind that the iPhone 15 series does not have a physical sim that can easily be swapped out between it and your android phone when you get bored with one. This was why I returned my iPhone 15 Pro Max and then bought a premium renewed iPhone 13 Pro Max from Amazon. And tomorrow, I should receive a new Pixel 8 that I am trading in my good old Pixel 5 for (Black Friday deal $550-$230 for the Pixel 5=$320.) This way I can have both and just switch back and forth. One thing I have noticed in many years of using both iPhones and Androids is that iPhone receive notifications like Gmail, Twitter and others much quicker than androids for whatever reason, I wish Google would fix this.
Google doesn't even stand behind their own hardware. Samsung, Apple and even Motorola will give you higher trade in value for a Pixel 7 Pro than Google. Just bought a S23 Ultra for less than a 8 Pro would cost.
I switched from android to iPhone when the first SE came out, I’ve had every generation of SE up till now. Getting a bit bored of iOS, Samsung has too much bloatware on their phones, so the Pixel 8Pro is speaking to me… I may make the switch back when my contract is over.
im switching from ios to pixel 8! the AI feature is definetly a must have for me and iphone is 'forcing' us to buy the 15 models just to have an Ai feature???!
If you have a Mac or other Apple devices, don't switch, I own multiple Pixels and iPhones, and the experience is just not there when switching to Android. However, if you don't, then I believe Pixel is a great deal for most people.
*I switched from iPhone to Pixel a while back and even as I've compared the newer phones year after year while working for different carriers over the years, I'm sticking to the Pixel lineup.*
I recently bought a Pixel 8. I have been an iPhone user for more than 10 years and I couldn't agree more that the Pixel is in the right direction. I wouldn't say Pixel 8 is already perfect, but I know it will get better. Same as what the iPhone was a few years ago. My hope is in the Pixel!
I have always been a fan of apple products even before smart phones were invented!!🤣 Yes I’m that old. So when smart phones came out and went straight for the iPhone. In 2020 I tried the Pixel 4 and it was awful! I returned it in less than a week. I recently decided to carry two phones one for work and a personal phone. At first I got a second iPhone but traded it in for a Samsung galaxy. I did not like Samsung. I returned it and got the Pixel 8. So far I actually like the Pixel 8. I’m pleasantly surprised.
But what about a normal user who uses only one apple device like phone? They need ecosystem ? Or they even care ? Plus while in Google phone You can easily connect with others android phone and most of people using Android than ios . I think google phone is versatile.
I just did after 15 years of iPhones (don't like where Apple is going tbh). Got a Pixel 7a which is a greatly priced smartphone (399 and it's Kudos to Google for coming up with such a phone at such a price) and transition was surprisingly smooth (transferring all data from the iPhone). I'm actually really satisfied and Android is packed with all sorts of things that I find much more user friendly than iOS (really nice OS too). And I'm not a nerd by any means. I just want things that work and are easy to operate. Was about to take the plunge on the Pixel 8 but then I've found the 7a which is almost half price and does a real lot. Couldn't be happier.
I am a pixel user, the only thing I don't like is the third party apps, such as how the zoom works on snapchat while recording a video although the picture quality is great on snapchat on pixel. Otherwise, pixel phones are amazing.
Upon reviewing, the major issue with Google lies in officially selling Pixel devices in only 23 countries, with an additional indirect official sale in India. Seriously, Google... out of 193 countries, only the elites will have the privilege to purchase your products. Whether this is a strategy to keep the product niche and avoid bothering other manufacturers (which I personally hope it is) or sheer ignorance and questionable planning remains to be seen.
Pixel is a easy choice to switch to from iphone. Most iphone users have google accounts for youtube and sync google calendar, contacts and gmail. I go back and forth between them. I used to have Samsung S22 Ultra but decided no more Samsung due to the extra Samsung apps that just complicate things with apps that I dont use besides the extra Samsung account needed.
I fall under the thousands of iPhone users that has bought android phones here and there but ultimately return to iPhone because of ecosystem. Google has come a long way from the Nexus days (💔) but I'd like to see better support for Pixels on social media. After the honeymoon phase with my P7P this was one of my last deal breakers. Instagram was definitely a step down compared to an iPhone and Twitter was almost unusable. RCS message coming to iPhone has me hopeful for a return to android but I still have a few reservations. I'll continue to keep tabs on the google ecosystem because I'm an android lover at heart that would love to make the switch back.
I use both and they are both great for what they are 🤷🏾♂️ I am not loyal to either brand or OS. They both have their gripes but nothing is perfect. Currently looking at getting a new phone and the Google Pixel 8 Pro is definitely a great choice for me and possibly a secondary phone. Currently looking at getting an iPhone 15 Pro/15 Pro Max as my primary device but that may be my last iOS phone for awhile. I wouldn’t leave iOS for Android entirely, and I wouldn’t leave Android for iOS entirely. I just like to switch it up every now and again.
....Really lovely video, going with google makes a lot of sense now but it will be even more amazing if they went with tsmc made custom chips, eitherway thank you for the video😃😃keep up the good work M8....
I've had a Pixel 7 Pro for 9 months or so. The main problem is the scrolling. It's REALLY bad. Noticeably awful. And I can't understand why and how Google have not managed to fix the issue over the course of the monthly updates. I don't want to switch to iOS but when I see how perfect and seamless the scrolling is on even an iPhone 13. It makes me wonder if I shouldn't just sell the Pixel and buy a used iPhone and actually make some money. Anyone else frustrated with the scrolling issue?
As Apple echo user the only why to get out of Apple echo system is something interesting like foldable phones with good and stable apps experience! At the end I don’t want to buy android phone looks like my iPhone! Foldable phones is the only thing could make me think about android again!
I switched from iPhone and the Apple ecosystem as I became a power user. It was the ability to push and control presentations to conference room flat screen TVs without using an Apple TV. I loved my Pixel 4 XL experience and then switched to Samsung S21 Ultra. Currently daily driving a Fold. The Android platform isn't understood by most influencers. The platform has a vast ecosystem. But the user experience is based on the manufacturer. Apple is the only user of iOS. The Android experience is based on the overlaying software that controls the look and user experience (Ex. Pixel Launcher and Samsung's One UI). Generalizing the Android experience favors Apple by lumping in the lesser OEMs that don't provide their own ecosystem of products and don't update their devices for as long as Apple, Samsung and Google. Just looking at Google's Pixel and Samsung's Galaxy, these two have vastly different experiences even though they are Android based. So how come we never talk about iOS vs. One UI or Pixel Launcher? To compare iOS to all of Android is like comparing Tesla's ecosystem of cars, charging stations, home charger and solar panels that all work together vs. gas engine based cars. This doesn't mean that all gas cars are equal, like a Fiat is the same as a Toyota. Just because Tesla provides a convenient ecosystem doesn't mean they make better cars than Toyota. The manufacturer adds a lot to the base platform to provide an experience for their customers. Based on what Apple users and fans want and expect, Samsung is the only Android based competitor that can provide a similar or better experience. Besides smartphones, they have smartwatches, wireless headphones, tablets, computers and an abundance of appliances: TVs, HVAC, microwaves, refrigerators, and more... Their One UI experience is seamless across their mobile and computing devices. Is this because of Android or because of their One UI software integration across the Android and Windows ecosystem? This is a tiresome argument of iOS (Apple) vs. Android. It is a flawed comparison. Android is just a component to be built upon. What the OEM does on top of the platform defines the experience. Ex. Google Photos features and layout is different from Pixel to Galaxy Z Fold. Z Fold layout transforms when switching from Cover Display to Inner Display. The S Pen provides additional editing features exclusive to Samsung. Pixel has a editing features that exclusive. Both Android based, not the same. So let's stop being lazy when comparing an Android based device to iPhone. Compare the OEM's OS overlaying Android to iOS. Android has an ecosystem that eclipses Apple. But what matters is how the manufacturer is able to tie it all in for a great customer experience. It is fair to say that Samsung is Apple only true rival in hardware, software and global availability.
I am currently iPhone user iPhone 14 Pro. Pixel is temping for me but my phone is only 1 year old so I don’t see a point of changing. I will keep using it another 2 years and by then pixel will be done with custom chip so finally I can get the best experience possible.
No, no they shouldn’t. Even Google knows iPhones are superior than Pixels, that is why they offer more trade in value for iPhones than their own Pixels. They really don’t care about what the existing owners feel about that. If they really valued their customers, they would offer more trade in value for their devices than iOS. Even in some Google or Android apps, they feature iPhones.
can android improve more on app support consistency ? for example predictive back gesture animation, one of the best feature supposed to release on android 14 but pushed to android 15 now only only in developer option on android 14, making it less mainstream and only few 3rd party app support it, not even many major app support it google should be more firm to developer sometimes, many good feature take too long to implement, making it very inconsistency
Apple does sometimes insist upon some annoying decisions. For example, multiple changing hardware standards. Yes, iPhone FINALLY has a USB-C port, but it was only because the EU forced them to do it. Macbook had it, but now they are back to magsafe. Cut the crap, Apple. I want one charging cable. The price and lack of hardware choices are two other reasons to consider a change. And in the "don't" column - the difficulty in leaving "the ecosystem" and learning all the new ways of doing things.
I've been an Apple product user for what seems like forever. What you say about these to phone makers is mostly true but where Google innovates and gives users what they want, Apple detracts in the name of innovation. They did away with expanded storage but so did everyone else. the straw that broke the camel's back though was doing away with the sim card in favor of e sim in the US. an obvious attempt to build carrier loyalty. i own the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max and have no intention of upgrading. i already own the Pixel 7 series and find them fast becoming my daily driver. I'll wait until the next iteration and then it's goodbye Apple and hello google. Thanks
You know if Apple only allowed you to multitask on an iPhone. My Note 3 could open two apps at one time one on the top and one on the bottom of the screen Apple still can't do it.
I have had every nexus and pixel. Currently using pixel 8 pro its great but its downfall is its modem. I lose connectivity all the time whilst my wifes and sons iPhones do not. The pixel is the only true Android phone that isnt fluffed with crap like Samsung phones. Pixel is the only reason to move to Android otherwise just stick with ios. I stupidly bought an additional phone for work being the flip 5. Using the flip 5 clarified why id rather use an iphone. People are just as crazy about Samsung devices than people are with iphone and on comparison Samsung devices are super overrated. Its not hype nor exaggeration that apple devices just work. People get too carried away with icon packs etc. For every day tasks the iphone does it with simplicity this is what the pixel does too that makes it ao comparable. Samsung users want fireworks, spinning bowties everytime they click a button.
I follow tech a lot. There is not a single pixel feature/app that people cannot live without. There no equavalent for iMessages, Airdrop, podcast etc etc How can Google expect to grow as ecosystem?
For iMessage, there is RCS. For AirDrop, there is Nearby Share. For Music and Podcasts, there is RUclips Music. For Videos, there is RUclips. For Health, there is Fitbit and Pixel Watch.

@@jessyk2579 Well, unlike Apple, Google values interoperability more than anything. This is why its services are successful in the first place. But Pixel phones, Pixel watches, and Pixel Buds have many locking features as well. For example, AI. Pixel phones have always been known for their AI features that are exclusively available on Pixel phones only. Also, for music on Pixel Watches the best app is hands down RUclips Music where all the other music apps just don't work very well. Also, Pixel Buds can switch between your multiple Pixel devices and any Chromebook you have. But at the end of the day, Google is a software focused company than Apple. Google wants interoperability to exist.
I think iMessage and FaceTime being built in to the phones OS is what makes it difficult to switch to a non Apple device. At least that’s the thing that stops me from switching.
@@sclifton8709because google has duo which is now Google meet and you have been able to video call for ages. Just doesn't have an apple branded name. Don't even get me started on iMessage. The most scurvy pitiful useless function in the iOS/apple ecosystem. As a worker in IT at a university I'd say more than 90% of devices that are brought in failing are unable to update their os. Due to a tonne of data imported from a phone. And there's the pictures and everything else filling up your tiny crippled hard drive that cost the consumer 3-5 times as much. So then you gotta show them how to delete files. But you can't even delete system files which clog up more than half the storage space. There is no visual application to check storage and see what the biggest offenders are. But wait. Disk inventory x came out in mac os 10 yet apple has never had the foresight to buy the company and integrate it's graphic display of hard drive space and linking to finder. I have to agree that apple products are just not for critical thinkers. Because if you've ever opened any mac, to see a cluttered desktop, on a system which nobody understand finder, and by default doesn't even show you your hard drive? You've been hoodwinked into believing the money you laid out was well spent. The "it just works" argument is no longer valid when we see operating systems in 10.x.x but can't upgrade due to the amount of ecosystem contamination from owning more than one device. I won't even let anyone plug an iPhone into a usb port on any of my computers. Just evil reporting back to 1 Cupertino Blvd to tell the ghost of Steve Jobs how many tracks I bought from iTunes. I was stuck with iPhone for ten years and Pixel was the best way to leave them. I personally have never dealt with any Pixel bug.

If Google comes out with a Pixel Watch that is on par with or rivals the Apple Watch Ultra (2), I’ll switch. The watch is really what’s holding me back.
Bruh 😅, it's fine and they're on their way. The watch holding you back is hilarious
It's NOT hilarious the watch holding you back. I miss the hell outta my Apple Watch 3. Google Pixel Watch 2 is NOT the same!
True but this can change. We have to ask ourselves what keeps a product value relatively high? Us consumers! So it's up to us to change that....
In Singapore, brand new pixel 8 pros which retail for S$1.5k are being listed for S$1.2k 💀
I mean, you buy a Kia and it doesn’t resell like a Toyota just because they started to become more reliable two years ago… you have to show consistency over many years to earn that value.
Pixel phones are not great I’ve had loads of customers come back with their pixel devices. No one comes back when it comes to iPhone or even Samsung.
I've been very happy with my P7 UE and A14 addressed my main gripe by improving battery life. I doubt I'll upgrade until Tensor G5 is available.
I'm going on a month with my Google Pixel 8 pro and I'm loving it
I switched to pixel and never looked back.
Yup. That’s a major weakness for Google. Forums have loads of stories about poor Google customer service
Google just has some nice quality of life features that make it hard to switch.
Apple isn't offering anything innovative or compelling at this time. If they ever do, revisit them. For now, stick with the Pixel devices.
I felt the same way. Check out what's coming to iOS 18...they're getting better...by a lot.

That’s interesting. I’m in Europe and other than my partner, my closest friends and I all have iPhones but we only ever use WhatsApp.
That's why I left Apple too for Pixel, but check out iOS 18. I want to switch back TBH.
Google still has their work cut out, but the pixel software is the most pleasing i have used when viewed holistically.
I consider pixel as the most productive smartphone.
im an iPhone user and I hate my phone I'm going to buy a pixel 7 as my next phone as I already have a Chromebook and love how the pixel software and hardware looks

I'm planning my switch from 10 years of IPhone to Pixel. After reading & watching countless videos, there are still many unresolved issues with no solution (yet):
- Airpod Pro 2 are irreplaceable (the PixelBuds are nowhere close in micro & noise cancelation quality)
- Apple watch is far better than the Pixel watch
- I can't airplay music to my home theater system
- I can't remote the Apple TV any longer
- I can't transfer the Apple live photos to Google Photos without losing the live feature :(
- Find-My : I could use the Apple Website to use find-my for my remaining apple products
- Linking Apple Notes with Google Keep should be feasible but not sure
- I can't airdrop full resolution photos to my macbook and, worse, not to anyone I encounter on a trail or a hike in the nature without access to internet etc.
What I like about my pixel phone is it can detect muzik playing in the area and it will save it to your phone..

I find the use of Google Drive and Docs the best way to transfer files, pics, etc., between devices smooth and simple. I have an Android phone, a MacBook Pro at home, and a PC at work. I can transfer anything on all three devices. So no complaints here.

The Pixel isn’t as popular when it comes to Android. Some th😅ink that Android was created by Samsung.
My current phone and my previous phone are Pixels. They have nice features, but stability isn't one of them.

Plus while in Google phone
You can easily connect with others android phone and most of people using Android than ios .
I think google phone is versatile.
Aside for the Google pixel buds pro can you recommend any other buds that work with a Google pixel device really great?
Starting with the pixel 6 Google started something great.
Now Google just needs to improve their hardware and their chipset
I’m currently using an iPhone and I’ve wanted to switch to pixel for a couple months now. I have ordered a pixel 8 and should get it tomorrow
How do you like it?
Pixel is a easy choice to switch to from iphone. Most iphone users have google accounts for youtube and sync google calendar, contacts and gmail. I go back and forth between them. I used to have Samsung S22 Ultra but decided no more Samsung due to the extra Samsung apps that just complicate things with apps that I dont use besides the extra Samsung account needed.
no, theyre free to use whatever they want

I'm the same 👍😊
I am looking to have a widget stack on my Google Pixel 6a. Something similar to what's there on iOS and Samsung. Is there a way to do it?
....Really lovely video, going with google makes a lot of sense now but it will be even more amazing if they went with tsmc made custom chips, eitherway thank you for the video😃😃keep up the good work M8....
I'll use my iphone 11 until it stops working, then I'll decide what phone to get... But if it stopped working today, I'd probably go with a pixel.
after 10 years with Google, I'm done with their trash phones
heats so bad on pixel 7. huge regret
What's the wallpaper on the pixel?😮
A picture 🖼️ of me. 🫤😐
P8P has no scrolling issues at all, but nor did my P6P, smooth as butter. Not sure why you're having a problem!
As Apple echo user the only why to get out of Apple echo system is something interesting like foldable phones with good and stable apps experience! At the end I don’t want to buy android phone looks like my iPhone! Foldable phones is the only thing could make me think about android again!
It's not just that they like that the apps are optimized for Apple's iPhone
More competition is a great win for the consumers.
To directly answer your question: Yes. they should.
They don't have to, but they SHOULD
My last iPhone was a 6 and it was garbage after a year.
I did in 2022
I am currently iPhone user iPhone 14 Pro. Pixel is temping for me but my phone is only 1 year old so I don’t see a point of changing. I will keep using it another 2 years and by then pixel will be done with custom chip so finally I can get the best experience possible.
Love to see a high end pixel laptop for business that can run ms office.
Did he say iPhones don't have any pre-installed apps?
Okay, but what about a privacy? Google has not exactly a good reputation for valuing user privacy. Or is google os on android actually private?
this is what i see if it doesnt kick me out wonder how to fix?
Google constantly making unnecessary changes.
Yeah hoping for more consistency in 2024
can android improve more on app support consistency ? for example predictive back gesture animation, one of the best feature supposed to release on android 14 but pushed to android 15
now only only in developer option on android 14, making it less mainstream and only few 3rd party app support it, not even many major app support it
google should be more firm to developer sometimes, many good feature take too long to implement, making it very inconsistency
what about a personalization framework like samsung one UI for pixel phones?
My Note 3 could open two apps at one time one on the top and one on the bottom of the screen Apple still can't do it.
iPhones don't have preinstalled bloat?
There no equavalent for iMessages, Airdrop, podcast etc etc
How can Google expect to grow as ecosystem?
For iMessage, there is RCS.
For AirDrop, there is Nearby Share.
For Music and Podcasts, there is RUclips Music.
For Videos, there is RUclips.
For Health, there is Fitbit and Pixel Watch.
@@leggo2006
Fitbit
RUclips music
Etc etc
available on All Androids and iPhones.
If you have nothing exclusive for pixel, how do you lock users to ecosystem?
If you don't lock your users to your a system how can you expect it to grow?
Rubbish.
