I've been sick and tired of explaining all these things to my iphone buddys why I can't switch to their ecosystem. I hate their UX and next time I have to explain my problems I'll just throw this video at them. Thank you for explaining all these differences.
Thats the thing. They start talking about all the features, but android has them. They then decide to move onto their OS to brag about but in some cases ,android beats apple.
Nearly all my friends are 'apple guys' and everyday, they try to make me "convert" like it some anarchy stuff.
ios so overrated and Android features so underrated in same time. After years with 11 pro max and 13 pro max I switched to S23 Ultra and it does almost all smoothlier, friendlier and better.
I don't see the need to convince someone to switch one way or the other. Iphone has it's advantages, while Android has others. People should buy what they like.
Lmao imagine having friends
Its up to them if they don't want to change. I l4ft apple and only now I am looking back but it really has not changed much.
I'm a forever Android user, but if I'm being honest, I don't dislike iPhones as much as I dislike the toxic American subculture Apple has created around them.
Exactly.
Yep it’s real and I hate it. Switching to android soon!
True
Exactly 💯

I use both systems. The things that were not mentioned are: Split screen; Proper backround App refresh, goes together with multitasking(not just pausing an App); Dual Apps(Clone Apps); Clearing cache from App settings; Installing files from anywhere; Viewing your clipboard and etc...
multi user, so that you can hand over the phone to your kids and not worry about them sending family pics to your office telegram group chat. or cluttering your youtube feed with baby songs.
Split screen and floating notification are the things I love the most about my Samsung.
You can't see what's in your clipboard on iOS?
@@riak321Have you tried Good Lock and RUclips ReVanced?
Those two are vital.
@dylon0107
There is no clipboard, they can only copy and paste one at a time.
You forgot about spilt screen, the history in calculator, the inbuilt measurement and converter, ability to simply add photos & music, ability to turn on the phone immediately when the phone reaches 1% charge, etc
Are these features Apple or Android?
iPhones have history in calculator

Outside the USA, the iMessage and Facetime problem is not even a thing, because we usually go for third-party messaging apps regardless of the phone people have anyways…
I’m an Android person, and while I knew about some of the points you’ve mentioned, like the back gesture (trying to use my friend’s iPhone was super annoying because of that), I was shocked to learn about a few other features that I use on the regular and that are missing on iOs. Yep, I’m never making the switch
So true! I live in Australia and iPhone users are huge here, but also Android users, it's pretty balanced. People don't care about the iMessage thing, everyone texts or WhatsApp still. Only thing I find annoying is when someone asks "Can you AirDrop it to me?" and I give them the side eye while holding my Samsung Galaxy S23... Also, don't get me started on the awkward moment every time someone hands me over their iPhone and I can't go back like a normal Android user person LOL.
@@samanthaoviedo2044 How does a person go back on an Iphone? I mean back to the last screen or app? This frustrates me too.
@SpaceCadet4Jesus They just have a "back" arrow at the top left corner of their screen, like showed on the video. If you want to change apps, I think you have to swipe up and that will show your recent apps screen. I mean, everything is too complicated. 🙄
@@samanthaoviedo2044 Problem with the iPhone apps I've used, is there is no back arrow anywhere on screen otherwise I'd see and use it. Perhaps I was using an older iOS version.

I think the main thing about the settings or special options being more hidden is on the principle that Apple wants you to use the way THEY want it, while Android allows the USER full control.

Agreed. It's like Apple thinks they know what I need my phone to do better than I do.

hhhmm, if THAAAAT is the principle . . . WHO exactly are they SELLING the phone . . . "to" ??? Are they perhaps selling it to "THEMSELVES" or their "kids" or to their engineer's "kids" 🤥🙁🙁?
What I hate about iPhone is that on the AlarmClock when you enable the Alarm, it doesn't show you how much time is left for you to sleep. Simple thing, and they failed to add this.
I gave ios a shot with the iPhone 14pro, first thing I noticed is that if I wake up before my alarm is set to go off you can't even dismiss it without waiting for it to actually go off. Where in Android, it can tell youre up and using the phone, so it gives you the option of dismissing the alarm off. Such a small option that makes all the difference. Currently waiting for my galaxy s24 pre-order. Never again lol
@@thefallen924 yep, I feel that pain. Good luck, mate.
It does when you set up sleep alarms in iOS, but not for normal alarms 🤷♀️
@@cthulhucy This is madness! There's no reason not to show the time-left in all the Alarms.
It's all the little things! There's so many 😂
After 20 years of using Android, I’m not switching to Apple. Unless iOS adds a back button, I’ll never switch. It’s just too annoying not having that convenience. The rest of Apple's features are learnable, and I can live with them. But the back button? I can't live without it.
LOL... it's not just a back button iOS is missing. You can't even do dumb stuff like putting your app icons at the bottom of your screen. Basic, basic stuff that Apple cannot figure out.
There is a back button, but only when you're leaving app A to do something in app B. Then a system back button appears in top left corner. So small you need to attempt 5 times in sniper mode until you manage to hit it and go back to app A. Tidy, but annoying. From system design perspective a static back button often doesn't have a scenario to resolve to and as such is difficult to interpret where the user wanted to go back to, which is why iOS only offers the back button in a single scenario.
@@wrednuch SNIPER MODE XDDDDD
AHAHAH
Back button - requires the developer of the app to provide one. If I create an app and don't include a way for the user to navigate back out of a screen then they're screwed. I think the whole idea of not having a proper back button is insane. But it's a bit like the calculator app they refused to change - Apple can be pig-headed about stuff and refuse to do it, even though it is completely capable of being easily done and would help the user greatly.
I too find it utterly incomprehensible that Apple did not include a back button. In researching topic the other day, I ran across an article in which Steve Jobs originally wanted a back button. One of his designers talked him out of it. Definitely taking form over function. Have tried to like IOS, but every time I do, all is lost when I use my old trusted Galaxy. Love that damn phone, refer to it as a lazy man’s phone due to how easy it is to use.
Spot on! I was a huge Apple user and loved it (3Gs until 6S). Then switched to Android and fell in love with it. This year, I tried to give Apple another chance. I lasted less than a month. Everything you have said were serious pain points for me. I'd add a few smaller things: voice dictation on iOS was absolutely horrendous; Siri isn't that helpful ("here's what I found on the web" Bruh, just TELL me!); and one thing that even my wife who decided to go back to Apple seriously misses and I use all the time is scheduling text messages. Apple has done a great job at marketing and I get annoyed with people who blindly say "Apple is just so much easier to use, more intuitive, etc." while never having used a flagship Android device... Well done!
Yeah Apple is easier to use but Android can look however you like, with iOS, you get what you get
@@mihailoaleksic3330 Apple is not easy to use. It's hard an frustrating when coming from an Android device. Simple things are hidden deep in settings. You don't know what easy means. Just say you don't like changing anything on your phone.
@@mihailoaleksic3330People THINK iOS is the easiest to use, but it isn't. It's only because they used it for years, learned all the icons and how they work. Windows Phone was actually the easiest to use. Even if it was your first time using it, beside every row of icons, there was an ellipse "..." and when you tapped on it, it would bring up text describing what each icon did. On iOS and Android, you just had to use the phone for a while and slowly learn what each icon meant.

Always amazes me that nobody ever mentions that when you take a photo, your pictures don't get there own separate gallery. Instead they get put together with every other picture you have on your phone and you have to sift through them all to locate them. This is incredible obtuse.

Samsung has the best ecosystem on the Android side. It's so underrated. I got the watch, the buds, the laptop and tablet and they all work together seamlessly
I agree with basically all of this. A lot of my friends keep asking me why I do not use iPhones since I am a tech savvy guy and it is because of all of this. Unless you own Apple, everything for your devices, your experience is basically going to suck with an iPhone. I have never liked the Apple experience. It's just way too controlling and limiting for my tastes. The Apple ecosystem just isn't my vibe.
Everything is so idiosyncratic. You just have to memorize everything the way you do the roads in a town that developed before cars. There's no rhyme or reason, just brute memorization. How you do 'x' in one place has no bearing on how you do 'x' in another.
Things just move around or revert to previous settings randomly. You change a setting within an app and a week later a random half dozen apps start showing the same change. Really, I've given up.
I daily use Android and iOS.

They're behind AOS at least 10 years in a term of innovations and features. Samsung is just killing them in every possible way.
That's because iPhone makes it easy so you don't need those features. iPhone is all about simplicity and ease of use without so many unnecessary buttons. It's like their camera you just point and shoot and they'll handle the optimization for you.

I just got tired of that I guess..
@@jonfreeman9682 lol. what's easy on iPhone? Did you ever touch Samsung's best phones such as S23+/24+ or Ultra models? These phones are spaceships for iPhone models.
See, the fact is that Android users enjoy in better hardware, software, innovations and features while iPhone users are enjoying in lil better build quality and longer support. But now Samsung and Google will also provide a 7 years of support to their users too. See, Android users aren't iPhone haters, we know that iPhone is very good phone, but we hate when some isheep is saying that iPhone is better than iPhone's killer which is Samsung. How that dated peace of tech from 2012. can be better when it have not some basic and standardised things developed under the hood such as easy acess to anything, clipboard, moving icons and organizing the UI, custumisations for making your UI experience to fit your needs in the way you like or make a device to work in the way you want? For us, iOS is just a real pain cuz it's not developed enough. You know itself that iPhone is just for younger people who's addicted to social consumption, they can record videos with good stabilisation, make good selfies and waste a lot of time on a very polished and optimised social apps, but when it comes to productivity and working with documents, that phone is a real nightmare thanks to undeveloped and limited iOS functionalities and abilities. This is a field where AOS is far way in front of iOS. With Android phone, you don't need another tech devices such as laptop, watch etc. cuz philosophy ground of making AOS is to make one device for all. This means that your phone as a smart device is enough for everything, and that's a reason why AOS is an open source project based on Linux which is constantly under developing, and every single year the thing are just getting better and better.
Do you getting this things now? Android is one device for all needs you have, while Apple's business philosophy is a few various devices for all your needs which means that you have to spend way more money and get MacBook, iWatch etc. to experience what smart device really means. I tried to switch twice, but no way, that iOS is still very undeveloped which is a big dissapointment cuz iPhone device is also expensive and buyers expect way more functionalities of device for that amonut of money.
With Android, you just can do everything, you can work with documents, enjoy in gaming, enjoy in media consumption, you have file menager, all connectivity features, you can connect your phone to any smart device, you can make a good photos and videos, you can keep all your documents in electronic form, carry them with you and share it whenever you want and in the way you want, you can use your phone as an projector etc. etc.
This is a true mature and definition of open code, a real freedom of AOS users can experience and enjoy, and this is a reason why AOS is covering around 82% of global IT market, it's got standardised worldwide. Apple's iOS ecosys is taking around 18% according to stats from 2022/23 and around 12% are inside the US borders, while other 6% are spread in the rest of the world.
Google and Samsung are just leading in all of these things, and I don't even talk about Samsung premium models and why these phones are too good. I'm usualy saying that iPhone can compete with Samsung, but people just don't understand. I sold my desktop PC and have no tablet cuz I don't need it anymore. My phone as one device is enough for all my needs cuz I don't work some of the jobs on a PC, I'm not a graphic designer, programmer, AFX or VFX maker etc., so I don't need laptop, tablet or a PC in my home anymore.

Agree, it's a matter of habit
But, with iPhone you get used to what Apple need
With Android - what you need
Some features much more convenient in iPhone (Face ID, Screen Wake Up, Air Drop etc.), but others (and there more of them) stuck in 2008 without any reasonable explanation.
Every time when i switching to iPhone i feel convenience and tightness simultaneously - yep it simple, smooth, reliable, but:
Simple drawbacks of iPhone
- no categorized notifications? I have 4 Google accounts (business / personal) and my iPhone notifications looks like they are created by drunk Ben
- no keyboard typing learning/numbers row? I use my iPhone almost 3 year and every time manually type my email, name, address etc.
- no split screen? I use this function on Android every time
- no unified swipe back?
Conceptual drawbacks on iPhone
- multitasking. My man this is 2023 year and when i downloading maps (in Google maps app) and switching to another app - all ceasing
- full-fledged file system. I can't freely download, store and access on my iPhone work files, music, PDF etc.
- communication. If you have no MacBook you have no connectivity options. Galaxy with Dex and USB-C cable is a second personal PC.
- conservativity. 2023, 800$ no 120 Hz, no UCB-C (ok - thanks to EU legislation Apple added slow port )) are you kidding?
- accessibility. The question is that Android 300$ phone offer and can do more, than 800$ iPhone
Yep, Android too has bunch of disadvantages, but they are compensating with convenience, flexibility and accessibility.

After years of using Android (Samsung and Huawei mostly), I gave iPhone a chance and been using 15 Pro for a month now and it's really hard to explain, but all these things that you mentioned really were a mind changer. Not to say, iPhone 15 Pro is a great phone overall, but I just find myself taking more time dealing with multiple notifications and alerts from different apps and spend more time on the phone that I am used to. With S24 line underway, I am planning on switching back to Android soon.

Regarding the notifications on iOS, it's also super annoying how clearing a notification doesn't clear the app icon badge and you still have to open it if you want it to be cleared.
Just switched to iOS about 3weeks ago and the dialer thing has been absolutely frustrating.
The back button has been quite annoying and the fact that they seem simple things to put (to me) makes it all the more annoying. Great video spot on.
Dialer thing wouldn't be a problem for me because I don't dial I go to the contact and call them, but it is kinda dumb
Are you going back to android ???
Android is more customizable. The tough part is finding everything in menus and submenus. If you’re not technically inclined it’s challenging, where the iPhone simplifies things. I switched back and forth every 2 years between phones every time my contract ends so I have a good grasp on them. It all comes down to how you use your phone. I find it very hard to choose between them which one i like better.
Switching recently from Android to iPhone was a terrible experience for me. I had not used an iPhone since the 5s model 10 years ago. When I got a my new iPhone, I felt like I had traveled back in time. Nothing had changed much. The icons were the same as before, the keyboard was awful compared to Android, and there were many useless or expensive apple apps that I did not want, such as Apple news, iTunes, Notepad, and Fitness. The apps that were supposed to be useful, like Health, were too complicated and inferior to Samsung Health. I deleted them all. Forget to mention Samsung Internet explorer way better than Safari and the difficulty I have to go quick to an application which is already opened in the phone memory.
Speaking of convenience and usefulness Samsung really screw up by removing IR blaster.
I used a Xiaomi phone and is so easy controlling all the house devices with the device i already have in my and instead of looking behind couch pillows for a remote.
Also many features Samsung is now bringing to their phones i had on my Xiaomi device years before.
Like Dual Apps for example. I also have second space where it turns the phone basically into a new device by hiding everything you have on the phone and creating another profile. Is like having two devices into one.
There are other things i like that when i had Samsung it wasn't there but don't know if they now added them. Like sliding 3 fingers for a screenshot, double tap to wake up phone, quick ball for some extra shortcuts of most used apps assigning buttons to do different things like double clicking my power button to open the camera or an app or switching of my screen by pressing the home button for a second etc.
There are plenty of small things like that. that some years back Samsung didn't have while my Xiaomi phone had.
@@SIPEROTHSliding 3 fingers to take a screenshot is stupid when you can either double tap the back of your phone or you can have a dedicated screenshot button at the bottom next to your Home, Back, and App Switcher buttons.

This was by far one of the best Android/iOS UX comparison videos I've ever seen. Excellent job, excellent 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice vid. Exactly, iPhones are like having strict parents, where Android phones is like having loving understanding parents. 😃
nice parallelism...
To put it another way in iOS you're the tenant in Android the owner of the house.
You can get viruses on android.
@@Cameraflyer- Well there's embedded antivirus protection and there's Google Play Protect. You have the freedom, but also the responsibility to sideload apps. To find trusted sites (and there are of course). Come to think of it, the argument about viruses feels like a boarding school or o monastery. "You have to remain locked in to be protected". Or rather you have to open the door.
That’s a false dichotomy. Strict parents are often loving and understanding. Mine were.
I switched from Samsung galaxy note 9 in december 2022 to iphone 8 plus. Used the iphone for a year and half. Many things make me struggle in term of apps. A lot of features that i used regularly in daily life are not even a exist in iOS! Now i switch back to android last week with just samsung galaxy A05. It treats me like an admin. Feels so good!
The most underrated youtuber. Someone with common sense, not blinded by iphone glitter. Consistency on back gestures is a big deal breaker.Few things that needs mentioning as well is the gentle vibration when you left your phone unattended and when picking up you feel that vibration when you mised a call or a message. In some countries you get samsung laptops and you actually then have the complete ecosystem. Iphone is just a fancy remote to the MacBook
'Consistency on back gestures is a big deal breaker' i sent back the iphone 15 pro max because of this. and you cannot configure to have this gesture. no, simply no, dont ask why no. thanks, but no thanks, apple.
I can see why Apple wants settings for apps in the settings app, as it's a central place so you dont need to go through a ton of menus. But on Android, apps can simply link to their in-app settings in the settings app, so it has some similarity.
To add one of the most underrated features of the Android keyboard is the clipboard. It was annoying going back and forth copying and pasting on the iPhone
@TechnicallyAlex Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I'm an Android user who still gets insulted/harrassed by my sister, for not switching to an iPhone. I've tried an iPhone, and do NOT like it, for the same reasons you state. I just wish iPhone users would focus on their lives, and stop trying to convert people who disagree.
Note that on Galaxy phones with One Hand Operation+, a Good Lock module, you can bring up Quick Tools and Quick Launcher with inward swipes from either edge. They make accessing commonly used controls and apps even more easy than the standard Android phone because you don't have to pull down the notification shade for quick settings or go back to the home screen for opening another app.
My productivity and multitasking is incredible with the One Hand Operation shortcuts.
@@JacksonCampbell Yes, it makes navigating the phone so convenient.
"ios/iphone is more easier and user friendly and better than Android". Said every apple sheep that never used an Android phone 🤦🏾♂️
Honestly it is true tho. I have (and prefer) android, but to any non tech-savvy person who just wants their phone to work without having to learn anything or worry about anything I'd suggest iphone (which I used for many years before switching)
I have an iPhone but I'm seriously thinking about moving to android. I might do it with the pixel 9.
@@Conannnnn nice
IPhone sure was as till the iPhone 8 era. Now it's simplicity has become the most complex thing about it. But I think neither the android nor iPhone's app settings handling way is good.
@what_not11 yeah the simplicity ends at the settings app. I used ios for years and never could figure it out. After a week of android I knew the settings app better lol
These are really why I love Androids, especially OneUI. Really great.
15 pro max here this is my first iPhone. I had Samsung my whole life and I think you would prefer the pro max model because the action button makes a massive difference. It instantly makes it better than my S20+ (I still use my Samsung I have 2 phones so lay off nerds)
This is a feast of recognition. I'm in the same boat, long term android user but switched to the Iphone 13 pro max two years ago. I recognize all the annoyances you mention and can add a couple more. For instance, I'm a text swyper, I just love typing by swipe gestures. The Iphone keyboard has it, but it's just so very not the same. After two years the Iphone keyboard still doesn't know my own name; on an android phone Gboard remembers my name after using it two times. Same goes for the first name of my wife, who has a slightly uncommon name: even after two years the Iphone does not suggest her name when I try to swype it. Talking about Gboard: you can install it on an Iphone, but using it is stressful. The user experience is by far not comparable with Gboard on an android phone; Iphone keeps switching back to it's own keyboard and I can't find out why, and when filling out forms online you can forget about Gboard completely, the phone will not allow to switch to anything else but the default keyboard. The fact that you have to leave the app you're in, go back to the home screen to go into settings for every little settings adjustment you want to make, so annoying. The list goes on and on. Never again.
I just realized my keyboard knows my name. I never thought about it like that.
Every phone or OS has features, someone may not like or would like them to work differently.
What you and this guy are talking about are niche features that 90% of users would not miss or need!
The 2 really good points he makes here, is actually the keyboard, it is a main juggling between the letters and numbers, however it's in no way a deal breaker, the one that annoys me the most, is the inability to pause video recordings.
Everything else mentioned here is just spin and or muscle memory.
In your case though, if you haven't noticed the real advantages of the iPhone in 2 years, I would definitely recommend you go back to Android!
@@jackdominiak445 I think those advantages are mainly there for people in the ecosystem, using also a macbook, and ipods, and an apple watch etc. I'm not in, and won't be either for various reasons. I just wanted to experience how it would be to use an Iphone as daily driver for an extended period. I don't want to sound sour but it turns out I miss too many Android features, and am too annoyed by a couple of Iphone peculiarities, to switch permanently so yeah, I'm going back to Android. By the way, one of my main gripes, a properly working swiping functionality on a keyboard is nothing niche, it's been there for years and even the first versions on Android, like 10 years ago or more, were way better than today's Iphone's effort.
@@jackdominiak445 Bro, stuff like notifications, better gallery files which is more organized, files management and the universal back is used by many android users.

I had always used Android phones (Samsung, LG and Xiaomi) cause they were the phones my parents could afford to buy me, so now i got a job I went all way fancy and got an iPhone 15. It has been a really smooth phone but i experienced the same small inconveniences you talked about, like not having a comma or a number row on the main keyboard layout, or having to tap all the way to the upper left corner to go back, having to swipe from the top left corner to see the apps notifications I have, instead of just looking at the icons. Not being able to really hide apps, or lock them with a passcode, etc. I think i will continue using the iPhone for now but my next phone will surely be an Android, maybe a small Pixel cause i like Android stock

I wished I'd found your video before trying iPhone myself. I also used android for my whole life pretty much, and I wanted to see what so many people like about iPhone. I lasted for a few months trying to deal with all the small problems you said in the video, before caving and having to switch back to android.
I only lasted one day. I got so frustrated with all of this in the video, plus I couldn't actually manage any files since file managers aren't really a thing on iPhone. I couldn't download videos either without some special apps to work around limitations. I sent that phone back the very next day.
I’m getting the Fold 6, currently using iPhone, I will never again purchase an Apple product, iPhone is such a boring phone.
My hands will never touch that American shitty product. The next one I will buy will be Galaxy S24+. It's literally a spaceship. iPhones are just a joke for Samsung, but isheeps will never know.
@@axamesvc I agree that the S24 beats iphone on so many things spec-wise. But I can also see the appeal of apple's eco system if you have more than 1 of their products (although many other manufacture like Google and Samsung are catching up on that aspect as well). At the end of the day, it's just personal preference. As a long-time android user, I can never switch to iphone due to the completely different user experience.
@@FiercyFrosty Why we're calling mobile phones as "smart phone"? Because you need one device for all your needs. But with iPhone, you need to have a few Apple's products to be fully synced and productive you want. If you buy and use Samsung phone, let's say the best models they offer such as S24+ and S24 Ultra, you don't need an extra laptop, smart watch etc. It's just one complete device for your lifestyle, not to mantion hardware and software which are way better in a comparision with latest iPhone models. Just take a look a screen quality or a CPU power for example or compare the cams, or research about lightening fast UFS memory, infrasonic fingerprint sensor etc. I'm not iPhone hater, I'm aware that is very good phone, but still it's not better than Samsung, not yet. You just can't live without some basic features you need everyday by using iPhone device, while Samsung is simply dominating in that. Maybe I'll buy iPhone in some distant future, but definately not yet becsuse Samsung is better for my personal needs. I see you know about a new S24+, so just take this phone and put them in a comparision with 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max and you'll see that Samsung is just killing iPhone, and we don't even talk about Ultra model.

I switched over to iPhone this year because its the only cellphone manufacturer that sells a small phone which I really enjoy.
Something I noticed switching over is that people don't explore their phones, which baffles me how much people don't care, I literally teach long term iOS users about features they didn't even know they had and that's why everything you mentioned in this video then becomes dumb. Since people won't explore iOS even if they had android they wouldn't explore everything you said and more.

Lol. Your comment is dumb. iOS is behind AOS at least 10 years in a term of features developing. iPhone just isn't for adult people but for kids and tens. That's all.
What he's talking about on Android mostly doesn't require exploring though, so i don't get your point
As someone who generally prefers android, The UI on iOS is much more fluid because it runs with higher priority, it literally feels smoother. Just zooming or swiping. Maybe that was 13 promotion, but I can't remember. Android has much more random delays when you press a button. It is also much more consistent and polished.
I have both samsung and iphone. And I love samsung more since it is very user friendly. I love most are the split screen, taking pics using the palm, saying shoot or smile and of course, the swiping features. What I dislike is the burn screen which happened to my old S9+. So now am careful with my new flip5 to avoid screen burn. I am the only one in my family who uses samsung and they all have iphone.
The newer Samsung phones dim the display to prevent burn in.
Some iPhone users (like one of my friends) are saying that iPhones are user-friendly but this is exactly the video with a perfect answer to all of them.

I switched from an S21 to an IPhone 15 a year ago. On a daily basis STILL, I want to destroy this phone. My Iphone overheats far more often than my Galaxy. Every single action on this iPhone takes 2-3 more steps to get there. It’s more complicated but it’s less complex
I was a iPhone user beginning with 5s but I switched to Android the s22 plus and fell completely in love and was blown away with the features.
The phone call featured is so underrated it’s super convenient to type numbers and gets your contacts 😢 I miss that a lot also call history is more than 100 hundred ( it’s unlimited on android)and we’ll arrange IT’s doesn’t intermingle instagram call, what’s app call and phone call.🤨😡
The swipe to go back gesture is crazy good and very useful, something that android users take it for granted. It's mostly about the small little things that android puts on their interface that actually makes some difference.
Apple users are always complaining about their phones not working right. My android runs flawlessly. I have 1.256 terabytes of storage compared to the pro Max's laughable 256 and ClOuD sToRaGe.
I’ve been team galaxy all my life but when the iPhone went usb c I gave it a try. I got the 15 pro max and it’s great and everything. It’s just too plain to look at and you gotta get used to the system being just straight forward and no work around. I miss my zoom on my s22 and multi tasking a lot more than I thought 😭
So you downgraded just because iphone got a usb c port ? Something android phones have for years ? There is something wrong here :)
The company I work for gave me an iPhone 13 Pro Max 2 years ago after 10 years of Android. Why, even now, isn't there a finger print reader? Why is it so heavy? My wife's Samsung Galaxy phone is half the weight. Why, if you are on lock screen, can't you reject a scam caller? All you can do it mute it with the home button. The camera constantly defaults to 4:3 ratio and you need to find an obscure setting to make it remember the last settings you did for the camera. Then it reverts back every time it updates. If you use Google Maps on Car play in your car the voice commands don't work. They only work on Apple maps.
They did away with the home button after the iPhone 8. The iPhone X (10) is when swiping up became more of a thing. The stainless steel material made the phones heavier.
You can double click the power button to reject calls

Not to mention the horrific file management in iOS
I've been using Galaxy phones for 10 years now and generally love them. But I'm now thinking of switching to iPhone solely because I've been frustrated with the lack of viable options for high quality video recordings on Samsung phones. Apple now has great options in this regard, including Prores and log. You can do high bitrate recording and things similar to log on Samsung phones using third party apps like Filmic, but Samsung limits access to the API so these third party apps can only do up to 30 fps. Also, I've had problems with focus on third party apps (not being able to focus at further distances). So overall the third party apps are not great solutions, and I think iPhones are therefore much better for serious video work.
But I don't really know how good video has become in the native app on the S23U, recording in HDR10 for example. What are your thoughts on this?

I believe android 15 has that feature
Recently switched to the iPhone 15 Pro Max after having Android phones for the last 12 years (most recently the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra). I definitely agree with all of your criticisms and there are a lot of ease of use features that I miss from Android. That said, I've learned to get by pretty well without them and have gotten more and more used to iOS each day and am getting to the point where I do like it, mostly for the ecosystem and connectivity with friends that it provides since I was basically the only of my friends with an Android still. I also do like that a lot of apps are a bit more stable on iOS than on Android and some (i.e. Instagram, Snapchat, ESPN) work significantly better on iOS. A part of me still misses Android and in many ways I do feel like Android still has an upper hand on iOS, but at the end of the day, I do believe that both are really great at this point in time and it's hard to really be upset with whichever choice you go with.
In Europe most people use WhatsApp. No need for imessage.
Using an iPhone and a Nothing Phone everyday, i disagree about apps quality. I'm practicing learning languages with an app, Babbel. My experience on Nothing Phone is way better than iPhone. When i have to do exercice speaking, i have to keep push virtual mic on iOS whereas on Android i push it once, i speak and Babbel recognizes what i have just said.
For me, this video is really accurate because we even don't speak about customization : we just speak about things when using YOUR phone, the one YOU've paid.
Android gives me every features i need.
So your main reason to sticking to the iPhone is just to be part of your so called friend group? 😅😅😅 Perhaps you should re-evaluate your friend group.
The fact that android still doesn’t have where you can reply to individual messages in the messaging app is crazy to me. 😂 I went to android for two weeks and just about lost my mind because the text messaging was so messy. With the iPhone you can reply back to single individual messages and everything is just neat and in order you know exactly what you’re responding to. Now I have to download WhatsApp in order to get the same experience and convince all of my family and friends to download WhatsApp as well. That’s crazy, group messaging on android is horrendous unless you all have a third-party app.

They are for different types of users. People who are hooked with iphone don't want to spend so much time customizing their experience, and for them, a phone that "just works" is enough (yeah, the premium price tag is just an extra feature). While android users are tech geeks that want all the customization available so they can feel unique with their phones.
As a hardcore Apple user for at least the last 10 years, I can appreciate all of these solid points. Excellent vid
Alternative characters was a standout feature I missed sorely during my week of using an iPhone. Used to do a lot of construction related stuff so I needed to enter symbols like crazy. Not even Gboard on iOS supported it.
As a tech nerd, I must admit I’ve grown to enjoy the discourse. I find myself going back to iPhones systematically because the UX clicks for me. I use a pixel or something else for a while and enjoy the novelty, then touch an older iPhone for 30s and BOOM I’m back 😂 and it’s OBVIOUS.
I love that the opposite opinion and preference can exist with such solid arguments without my experience being invalid.
As someone who agrees with the points in this video, I don't think I can get past those issues. How do you deal with those limitations every day? Does it not frustrate or is the rest of the experience with iOS just that enjoyable for you that you can forgive it?

Cheers!🥂👍
iPhone is just way too overhyped, i understand some iphones from 2017/2018 can be faster then brand new budgets androids and that's awesome, but if you're comparing brand new flagships android is a clear winner imo.
@@mn1083 While there is truth to this, Apples branding and marketing is the best so they make you feel like your always using a superior device. The thing is some people like IOS and here is why...The android experience is like going inside a store where you have everything from the worst to the best things and you can experience everything but you will be riddled by choice and sometimes buy a bad product...While the IOS experience is more like going inside a small store where you have less things to buy and the prices are a bit higher. But everything is is mostly good quality with very few bad things...I mean it really is like that
@@sharpshooter4529 I agree, i recently bought one and everything feels much more polished then my androids. But i still stand with liking brand new flagship androids more. I dislike the thick block design and the island.
My man just explained all my complaints after switching from a Samsung to an iPhone ❤
One thing you didn’t mention is the fact that on my android, I could decide by the tap of a button when and when not to fast charge. But on my iPhone, i have to use two different charging bricks - one for fast charging, and the other for slow overnight charging.
Finally some valid points! There’s a lot of these videos out there and so many people obviously say the same things but some of yours are actually very good points that I miss as a lifelong iPhone user who′s used to them. I′m trying out a pixel rn and yh, there’s a lot to like. It goes both ways though!
On Galaxy phones, you don't even have to type the phone number in the dialer. You can simply hit the keys corresponding to the name of your contact and the correct number will automatically be displayed. This means you don't have to remember the phone number by heart.
But even for the most recent iPhone(All the 15 lineup), you still have to remember?
Of course
on iPhone you can just search for your contact on the phone app. what's your point?
@@adisoncardoso Contacts can be searched in the phone app on Galaxy as well. But you have to leave the dialer and then there's an additional step to either call or text them, which you need to select. Instead, if you simply start typing the contact name in the dialer keypad, the contact is displayed and they can be dialed right away.
Just switched from iPhone and i didnt know you could go to settings to make keyboard more comfortable. Just enabled number bar and extra keys (long press ones) i am so damn happy and surprised
The main thing I luv about android is that it lets others know that I’m poor and they shouldn’t try to face time me.
My biggest problem is the whole user interface and lack of customizability. I like to try different things, especially when it comes to launchers! Sometimes I like Niagara Launcher, sometimes Kvaesitso, sometimes KISS, sometimes Lyn, sometimes Total Launcher etc. I can literally change how things work depending on my mood! I very rarely even use stock or stock like launchers 😂. So great that I can make it work however I want!
so you’re a child basically… congratulations.
@@L1qu1d_5h4d0wI was about to say , sounds like a mental sickness
@@L1qu1d_5h4d0wOK apple sheep
All the things you pointed out sum up my frustration with using this iPhone 15. I seriously regret buying it and wish I had just stuck with my Pixel. I don’t think I can deal with it for two more months so I’m selling it 🤷🏽♂️
The lack of multitasking, and I'm not talking about multiple apps on one screen, though that is quite nifty. No, I'm talking about things working in the background - I'm talking about selecting 10 items to send in a messenger and being forced to stay in that app and chat until the files are uploaded - otherwise the app just gets suspended and stops uploading. Same with processing, rendering, downloading, updating etc. It has to be on the main screen and you have to wait for it to finish.
Install a game and then the game says "Oh I need to download 4 more gigs of data" Guess who won't be using their iphone in the next 30 minutes while that's being downloaded on-screen.
never had anything load longer than a couple seconds on my phone except sending some gb of data through airdrop (1min)… I can wait a minute without the meed of doing 10 other things at the same time… don’t know what you’re doing… but I guess the problem start with gaming on a phone…
You need a PC… or a tablet at least…
Agree with this brother, I also noticed that some little things in android once implemented in iOS looks ground breaking to them. 😂
Ngl. I swapped from apple to android almost a year and a half ago and forgot about those things apple doesnt have. The keyboard thing was such a relief to move from apple that idk why numbers at the top of your keyboard, and commas at the bottom aren't there.
At the end of the day you want to take less steps throughout the day to get the things you need done on your phone and there are a lot of extra clicks to do the same things on iphone.
Android user here. This is the most fair and balanced comparison I have ever watched. Perfect explanation. I agree with everything you said.
Finally a youtuber with common sense with an opinion well fundamented.
I love customization on my phone and very happy with my S22 plus, but i admit that iphones have some cool features too, like the magsafe (that is available for android with mag ring).
But can deal with the thing that apple does with just work well with their products.
I like to have more options.
I have a galaxy phone, with a Xiaomi watch and Nothing Ear stick Buds and it works perfectly, thing that would not be possible with an iPhone.
That's something I've noticed, always thought people like the iPhone because its simpler and more intuitive to use but whenever i try to interact with an iPhone im left feeling like a boomer. I really couldn't explain it to iPhone users, like they would ask me why i don't use them and i settled on "idk I'm used to android" but really it is just about usability at this point. Android is easier to use.
Which is kinda crazy because again, i always thought of android as the more complicated, "power user" platform, but really android is also better for casual users too. It's just better, no matter what manufacturer skin you use. And it lets you use it for more things. You can essentially turn your android into a PC if you want, just full functionality, full file access, you can literally do anything without locks involved. And best of all is again, just usability. I can set up my phone in any way i find convenient for me. Shocking that iOS got the "put icons anywhere" feature only recently. That's just an absurd limitation to put on users.
