Another thing I like is the recent apps button because I can just press the button and get to all the apps that I had open. Another thing I don't like about Apple phones nowadays is the gesture navigation. It is slow 😞 the last thing I don't like about iPhones is changing the settings. You can't change settings from within an app. You have to go to the settings page to change settings in the settings app for specific apps.
Its give or take, ios system controls are more consistent, but the back button is more fragmented. They would have to define exactly what the button will do, which will still vary a bit
@@tutacat I disagree when I press the back button on android it goes back. When I press home it goes home. When I press the app drawer it takes me to the app drawer. It's extremely consistent. Also android now has gesture navigation too.
I was on Android for over 10 years before I made the decision to switch it iPhone. I lasted 7 months till I couldn't stand it anymore and went back to Android. Gosh, I missed it so much. iOS is lacking in so many ways!
My wife wanted to try an iphone. We ended up with one, so I gave it to her. She'd heard so much about iphones she really excited to try it and expected to like it. But she said to me "I don't understand what all the fuss is about with iphone. Its harder to do everything."
It’s not really an iOS vs Android comparison is it? He’s picked out certain things that he’s used to on Android and shows how he thinks he harder to use on iOS
Hey? Is there anything you're missing out on an arid that you had in iPhone? I'm talking about the iPhone as a standalone device not the apple environment, is there anything?
@djsnkz No you can't, but no Android user has ever argued that you can. We just get put down a lot by iphone users and get frustrated because we know that if they would just open their eyes, they'd see that they're getting a bad deal from Apple.
Or for people who want a phone that just works. I'm having a lot of bugs with my 7 Pro. The most annoying is "Android system can't be loaded" 1) try restart over and over again, good luck it doesn't show after 10 times 2) reset device What should I do if this happens and my digital train ticket is not available or I'm lost somewhere?
What a great video have tried so many times to stick with iOS but I just keep coming back to my Pixel as I find Android just so much more flexible. It's a phone that allows me to do what I want not what the creator wants.
@@dominik3482 I feel the same way. iOS is just extremely simple and intuitive. Very few bugs in my experience. I’m on iOS for 6 months now and there’s no going back yet.

Its baad!” No you dumb bastard. You failed to find ios’s easier solution for the same task.

In addition to everything you mentioned: the ability to assign specific ringtone/text alert tone to EVERY SINGLE notification type/chat on Android vs. being stuck with THE SAME ANNOYING text alert tone for most of the notifications on iOS. So that, for instance, you ALWAYS know who is texting before you even pick up your phone regardless of the app they are using on Android vs. you KEEP WONDERING was that a message from your DAD or some news alert from CNN app. SUCH A BASIC THING! I guess that's why we call them Android Smartphones and Apple Iphones.
Either you’ve never used iOS or you have not used it within the last year. I have separate notification sounds for all my contacts phone calls and text alerts. Some are songs, some are sitcom sound clips, or video game voice overs.
@@Danarchy3 Apple is kinda dumb because they want to wait and slowly add features while android give you as much more control and hardware as they can with slightly less optimised software for the hardware. Its s dumb because apple is meant to be simple but it isn't and is quite harder to use for people who dont know or haven't see IOS.
@@killer_instinctz8696 I think you hit the nail on the head. It is harder to use if your not used to it. When I started my job they gave me an iPhone but I was an android user and I was so lost, I hated it. A few years later and I use both systems, I actually like iOS better now that I’m used to it. As for the “new feature” argument, there’s no question android comes out with features first. However they are not optimized at all, you could even say android releases the beta version then later Apple comes in and says “here’s the right way to do that” I’d rather wait for the full release instead of the buggy beta version a year early.
As with any other product or service, choose what fits your needs the best. Each has it's pro's and cons. I've used both but the limitations of file management on iOS and transferring files across devices is a deal breaker so I'm back to Android...
I've been an android user since switching over from the iPhone 6 and I had assumed that the features iOS has gotten from Android worked the same. Boy was I wrong! This is the only video I've ever seen that shows just how far behind iOS still is and I'm subscribed to almost all of the big tech RUclipsrs. I love your channel and definitely going to subscribe!
You got the nail on the head with this video. I left IOS for the same reason. It's too Generic. It doesn't feel like a useful computing tool in my pocket. I also hate that you have to go into a separate app just to access setting for a particular app. It's limitations are painful. I can't believe it's been 16 yrs and it doesn't feel like anything major has changed.
Oh, yeah. There is nothing like having sixteen different copies of the same file, because you need to transition betweeen apps and each one makes its own copy inside its sandbox.
Not every app bro and especially games dont have a back button if I’m playing a battle royals match but wanted to play another mode I simply can’t leave without finishing the game by losing winning or dying which is so so annoying iOS seriously needs a back button or gesture.
all the IOS frustrations you mentioned in your video are on point, and I would like to mention two more but important things which is a nightmare on IOS You can't "Pause" a video while recording a video The recent call history is limited to 100 entries only, as a business we receive 60 to 70 calls a day, and every after 2 days the call history resets to zero... Now if you want to check who called last week, you simply can't.... So frustrating Anyways great video, keep up the good work 👍🏼
My wife have an iPhone 14 pro max, I got an S22 Ultra and every single time I have to do something simple in her phone like transfer photos it stress me out a lot, what I do with 3 taps on Android it takes me 5 to 10 taps on iphone. It's just absurd!!!
Funny enough, that was what Steve Jobs was saying in his book, if you need to tap more than 3 it is no use, after SJ and John Ives Apple lost it's innovation, juts repeating the same and trusting the loyalty, that was what went wrong for Nokia.
One thing I think you forgot to mention is the Calculator app. The Calculator app in iPhones is the worst I have ever seen. It is only meant for really simple calculations, because, although the options are there, it is extremely hard to do anything more complex, since it doesn’t even show you what you are doing.
Thank you for this video. Now I know more about the iPhone OS limitations and will stay with my beloved Android devices for much longer. I thought Apple had caught up with Android until I watched this video because that's the impression I get from most RUclips tech reviewers, especially the ones who make comparison videos and title it "25 things iOS does better than android" or vice versa. Suggesting both OS"s were on par for ease of use & feature sets. Wow, RUclips needs reviewers like you who can help users see clearly and spend wisely. The Apple brand has got these RUclipsrs in their pocket!!
My first smartphone was a Nokia Windows phone and when I found out I wouldn't be able to get another I started looking at Apple and Android and asked users what they didn't like about their phones. I've been an Android user since.
No, he basically isn’t used to using an iPhone so struggles with it. It’s the same for someone who uses and iPhone and finds it easy going to try an android. Both are reasonably the same for 99% of the things people use them for. It just depends what OS you’re used too.
ios is more of eye candy than a functional operating system. Atleast more so in the past decade, Apple is now bringing more features each year and you can tell its taking a toll on the stability of ios with ios16 as a case study. Its definitely not an easy feat (android devs deserve some credit). In short, Apple paid more attention to how ios looks than how it worked for users until recently. Android on the other hand, started as a super functional operating system and in the past few years, has been getting more attention to UI design. And for some of us, it just makes more sense to use android because of how it fits our needs.
iOS 16 really has been a roller coaster so far. I feel like the developer betas were more stable than the actual release. Let's hope they don't screw up 17...
This is true, I switched from S10 plus to iPhone XS I regret the decision But iPhones are polished to make my brain think they cool but I can see the performance on Samsung is top notch more especially when you are a heavy user
Apparently ios 17 is even worse, I tried Apple out for about a year and went back to Android, iphones are alright but you're just paying for the logo and status at the end of the day.
@@NyPk92 ---- You're right it may not be appropriate 100% of the time, but in my case I use voice 80% of the time. Pretty sure it didn't occur to our boy Akash ever.
@@NyPk92 ------ With regard to control and dictation Siri works extremely well. The much faster chips we have on iOS give a superior experience. Siri is by far the most used of all the assistants because the reality of Android is 90% of users are low-end budget folks who don't use voice. One other key factor is both Google assistant and Siri this year will become substantially better with LLM tech used in the AI. There is also a very strong chance that Apple architects a powerful local Siri that resides in a person's phone and keeps secure the personal information in the Secure Enclave. We live in interesting times.
What I don't understand is why apple expects us to do finger gymnastics just to restart or turn off your phone 🤔 I mean most people have to Google how to use their iPhones
@@ray0010 I was Android for almost 15 years before switching to iPhone 3 years ago. I have no idea what people are talking about as it relates to restrictions. First of all apps on iPhone run better than on Android and there isn’t an app out there that I want that I can’t get on iOS
I bought an iPhone 14 Pro and I completely agree with you, ios is a much more stupid system, especially I don't like the keyboard and the fact that you can't take a long screenshot in any application. The only reason why I did not choose Pixel 7 pro is its rounded screen on the sides and the processor is weak for gaming, I'm waiting for Pixel 8 Pro on Tensor 3.
I switched from iPhone 13 to pixel 7 pro too but the pro was too big for me so i just took the pixel 7. Hope Google brings 8 pro the same size as pixel 7.

@@Tha-King-Arthurlmao that's a first. Pixels are fine, except maybe for the overheating. iPhones can be too fidgety to do a simple task, while on Android, especially on my Galaxy S24 Ultra, I can do it without leaving the app.
I just got an iPhone 13 mini just because of its compact size. My frustration with iOS is unmeasurable! I already have a list of 50 plus iOS annoyances compared to Android. The biggest ones being Universal Back Gesture everywhere! And Volume Controls In general, I don't recommend hard-core Android users to switch to iOS.
Few years back I am in same bucket as you are. I switched to iPhone SE 2 for its small size even knowing it has bad battery life(I can have that compromise). The software experience is not that good(everything mentioned in this video and comments). Musixmatch does not work. In-build song recognition and lyrics (shazaam?) goes out of sync for unknown reasons. Expensive accessories, even basic ones. USB C being way ahead than Lightning - I use one PD charger for everything(phone, personal and office laptops, TWS ....), I could not use my expensive usb c DAC anymore. Just an utter waste of money. Even my dad could not get a good value out of this.
@lol-ge9bh you can't just say facts are wrong. Literally, the whole video is facts. It's clearly comparing using iOS 16 on the iPhone compared to using Android 13 on the Google Pixel, both being flagships.
Hello Ahmed Ibrahim, First of all, thank you for the brilliant video! It is precisely for these reasons that I parted with my iPhone. I've been with Android for a long time and have always used an iPhone on the side, but the operation of the iPhone just annoyed me. The whole system is way too convoluted and the worst thing about it is the go back which I love so much on Android. This is a disaster for the iPhone. It's a pity that Apple hasn't changed its system in such a way that it is the same as Android in terms of operation. I will only buy an iPhone again when its software is finally on the same level as Android. Hello from Berlin
Me too, android is too much for me in long time ago sometimes. My friend of mine asked me to buy iPhone because of camera is better. I just thought hand phone camera shot is worse or bad. Oh well, I decided to buy iPhone 12 Pro.
Apple won't change anything because if they do and mimic Android, that will make apple admit Android is better, so if they do change their system to be like Android, then it will be an Android with an Apple case lol. And they definitely don't want that, so pretty much they are stuck to what they have. Android has them by the balls 😂😂
From my brief experience with iOS it looks and feels medieval. It is very cluttered with duplicated functions all over as if 3-4 iOS versions somehow fused together in a very incoherent way. The app management is a monstrosity. There is not much to like about it beyond the smooth animations that become boring after half an hour.
Joke aside, "medieval" is actually a Very Accurate term to describe these Nonsences shown in this video... It is Insane when you realize that we are at the end of 2023 and not 2014, but iOS has notifications like they are from... medieval!
File management is also very annoying on ios. As a student I often had to download pdfs, ebooks and images from the web. But because of how the files app on ios is partitioned and has so basic features, you need to share the same file to a third party file manager. Even though the file is present in your iphone storage its only accessible in files app and you need to manually share it from files app to another app to access it there. This overall makes file management and sharing very annoying and a tedious process. I switched to android 3 years back and its fine management system is so much better and advanced its like leagues apart.
@@sujithkondabrolu1684most android devices comes with a file manager by default. You generally download files in download folder. Files manager shows recent files in thumbnail by default. First of all. Thank you. This video need a part 2. There are so many things that make Android more useful in my opinion. Back gesture, menus on same app, smart home controls, tons of sharing options (try to share a contact info in messenger) etc.Nearby share Google beta is awesome between windows and Android. I was also an Apple user but I sold my 14 pro max becasue it is a pain to use it. I still have an iPad (will give) but also a Galaxy tablet. Thanks again for this un biased review.
You’re totally right. I was an apple enthusiast, however due to my work I need more tools that help me to be more productive, so I switched to the One Plus Open and a top of the line Lenovo laptop and I have no regrets at all, now I can push out work faster and effectively!
Really informative video on the differences in UX between iOS and Android in 2023. The main reasons that I prefer Android and why I switched has been due to the UX. I agree it's not a discussion of what's better (to each their own) but what one's lived experience and preference is. I appreciate your telling about your preferred UX (in a very well-done and informative video) even if that is for the Android OS. For me the preferred UX also includes Google's ever evolving ambient computing with it's AI Assistant. I truly appreciate that the Pixel series (and Google) provides an AI-first mobile UX.
Emad, THANK YOU for this video! I have been pointing out the "inconveniences" of iOS for years, which is why I switched to Pixel phones a few years back. Android, particularly Google Pixel Android, is so much more intuitive, convenient, and customizable. After all the hype from RUclipsrs suggesting that iOS and Android are "so similar now," I was actually considering giving iOS another chance, but your video showed me exactly what I needed to know to convince myself to stick with my Pixel Android experience. I can't wait for the Pixel 8 Pro to go on sale! I'm doing a play on words here, but I can't wait for the [pixelate] to go on sale. lol
The Pixel 8 Pro has a lot of potential based on the leaks. I hope that Google adds a pro mode to the camera and allow us to take 50 MP photos in RAW format.
@@smartphonefan5226 Yes, Pixel 8 Pro does support Pro mode and RAW format. Google did it correctly! I ended up Pre-Ordering the Pixel 8 Pro and got the Pixel Watch 2 free.
I agree with everything you mentioned and there is even more and more. The frustrating thing is that in the upcoming iOS 17 update only 1 or 2 of these things will be adopted.
this should be shared to all iphone fanatics out there telling iphone is the best smartphone in the world. truth is it was hyped by those money making blogger. they only show camera, appearance ,speed, battery consumption, but no productivity capability. This is what should a content creator do. You have superb video thumbs up..
Fantastic video Emad! You nailed all of the reasons why I don't switch. Notifications (6:26) is a BIG one for me. Android 13 on Pixel makes it so useful to manage my notifications in so many ways and you nailed it! 8:24 Quick settings is another good one! Control center doesn't feel intuitive and its a guessing game as to what each button does. Also, in order to add more itens on Control Center you have to go into Setting app and dive into the list. On Android you can add new items directly in the Quick Settings. You really nailed everything perfectly.
It”s not critical for most users to do extra step on their device, But it”s more important that your device will work smoothly from the start, not after several updates….
For Android, I don't like the current toggle. It takes to much space for no reason. I wish we can get 6 icons in a single row like it's was on Android 11.
Nice video! I try to explain to my friends about how good notification handling is on Android, but find I am an outlier with volume of emails and other communication streams I am keeping track of throughout a workday. If you are someone who is a "phone go brrr" type user, much of this stuff doesn't seem important. But for someone like yourself and others who use it has a true communications tool, it does matter. Also, the iOS alarm volume is buried in their Health App sleep schedule setup (which also appears at the top of the alarms section in the clock app), so you get just the one alarm w/ independent volume control. I don't know why Apple does it like that, it couldn't possibly be that they want to collect data on your sleeping habits lol (yes, Google does this too, if you let them, but at least they give separate alarm volume if you want it). I flip between Pixel and iPhone. The only reason I tried iOS again is that I ended up buying a MacBook Pro which I really like, and since some of my younger clients text me rather than Slack, email or Google Chat, maybe I can see if it makes things easier. At least 2 people congratulated me on no longer having green text bubbles (and those same people said something again when I went back to Pixel). Honestly the iMessage thing is okay but it is nothing really special. Apple is a master at addicting users and creating a "no-questions-asked" user base. Apple also seems to try super hard to make the animations and haptics as sticky as possible, adding to this Candy Crush like experience on the device. It's weird how much I noticed it when I switched back to my Pixel after a just a few months.
You hit the nail on the head when you said that Apple addicts its users. Not only are they blinkered by the marketing, but they're also locked into the Apple ecosystem, quite deliberately by Apple. The iPhone hasn't been innovative, in my opinion, since 2007.
Every couple of years, I try an iPhone to see if iOS has caught up, and so far it has not. All the little efficiency and customization features add up to a big reason to stay on Android.
This video reminded me the time I bought an Iphone 14 Pro and had one of the worst experiences of my life, I felt so frustrated that I made such a terrible decision, it just makes me anxious just to remember how awful it was to deal with iOS, the most absurd and less productive shit I've ever tried. Thank God I could sold that piece of $hit and get a Google pixel which is awesome.
The separation of settings from the applications is the absolute worst anti-pattern that iOS has adopted. I never understood why anyone thought that was a good idea.
It’s that so you won’t change those settings basically. They hide them really deep so you won’t find them unless you absolutely have to and even then it’s a butch
I'm not a fanboy, but I believe I know why So settings for casual users is a one time thing. I change phones or change their stock rom pretty frequently and when I change to daily drive a phone (or a rom) (mostly it's Android) I would have to change some settings like eye comfort (reading mode or blue light in some OS), sounds and notifications for apps, what should be shown in the lockscreen, camera settings and launchers. Basically I think these apple people thought to provide settings in one place. iPhones are for casual users.
Straight to the point and very informative. I just got a pixel 6a for Christmas and this video made me feel proud of all the nifty features i now have access to.
You started with text editing and you're so right! I use an iPhone for work and typing is a disaster in comparison to Android. Especially when you want to correct something you wrote. It's just not that accurate and for instance impossible to select a word right in middle and add a character for instance. Nice video👍
@@AshishPrinz I know that's also possible on Android. But on Android you just tap where you want to edit and you edit. On iOS the cursor always places before or after a word.
could have added one more thing about Gboard and Google Translate integration. I currently lived in a country where common folks don't use English so whenever I am texting to my food or parcel delivery, I can just type in English it will translate to local language
Most apple users still believe they are using the best of best. I have no idea why people call this mediocre OS straight and simple. I would buy iphone only if apple adopts atleast some essential features from android.

There's just sooooooooooooo much more. Try comparing a Samsung with an iPhone. You'll be blown away. As I was, when I got the S22 Ultra after dropping and destroying my XS Max. Link to Windows, Quick Share, Link Share, Swiping from both Left and Right, S-Pen, AOD [that was a big one lol], and just soo much more. No wonder Samsung's Flagships are the Phone of the Year(s).
While I think the title is exaggerated, I agree with you and I've no idea how come a company, known for their software and fleecing their customers, while making billions, are behind Android, which is basically free in comparison. Apple should light years ahead of Android (and it was in the early days of Android), but all of this is just living on the past glory. Aside of the ease of file transfer between Apple devices and energy efficiency, I see no real upsides of having iOS over Android. I think those days are over and Android seems to be pulling ahead more and more as the time goes on.
I'm an android guy but I always liked how iOS's Control center looks but after android 13, things actually switched! 13 was there for a long time but today I finally noticed that Android 13's notification panel and control panel(quick settings) looks way better now!
If you like the iOS control center you should try Android with MiUi on a Xiaomi or Redmi phone (idk if Poco has the same MiUi) it has the control center separate from the notifications and looks very similar to the iOS one
Yes you are right Xiaomi have this type of notification panel but miui is slowing down your phone and gives you garbage looks and apps that you propably never use so google Pixel ui is better (i am redmi user)
iOS is laughably old-fashioned compared to Android, that is for sure. Not to mention that iOS can't show as default the charge percentage during charging, when the phone is off.
Apple invested a huge amount of money to tell the world that iOS is simpler to use than Android; which of course is a lie. I know Android is way more simple and practical to use than iOS. 🙄
I beleive iOS is for people who are more concerned about using smartphone for the basic features but Android users are more into customisation and using the OS for their advantage, such as increasing productivity
What an amazing comparison ❤❤. Just to the point and very real comparison of two platforms. I am another one coming from iOS after being an iPhone user for last 7 years. Never going back to iPhone, thank you for your hard work. #TeamPixel Subscribed 😊❤🎉
An often overlooked feature of Android is delayed message sending, I didn't know how much I'd like it but it's so refreshing to be able to text someone in a different timezone or a person who is napping who doesn't snooze their phone (seniors mostly) so a text can be sent at a designated time. Apple is fooling their customers into thinking it's a premium device while so many features are lacking. RCS later this year might change that but why would anyone continue to "hope' when you could have it all now with Android.
The most annoying thing about iOS is the absence of a consistent back button/gesture throughout the system, people who have used both will understand what I'm talking about.
yup and dont even let me start on how stupid correcting text while typing a message is, and how many times slid back for no reason and lost the text... so fucking stupid
There's certainly a few things I miss about having an iPhone. The system apps definitely worked better in a lot of ways. I also miss the more cohesive UI that you get with iOS. Ever since Google introduced Android 12 though it has been a huge mixed bag with regards to other companies adopting their UI to match the dynamic wallpaper themes. I wouldn't switch back though, there's enough things about Android that keep me coming back. The way that the haptic feedback is implemented right out of the box within the keyboard is a big deal to me. Also the freedom to switch default apps is great as well.
Ok, I've used both iOS and Android (samsung and the likes). I don't understand what you mean by cohesive UI , for me, the difference is minuscule albeit, i prefer the iPhone's icon pack over Samsung's 3rd grader looking ones but i can also change that in a jiff but i'm not a UX designer so , without trying to sound condescending, what do you mean exactly? with examples if you can. No need a full detailed analysis, just some ..Perhaps, for myself, I don't feel it's a big deal breaker as long as the functionality is on point but i do know good UX design is always a good thing.
That shared volume thing is absolutely shocking. So if you don't turn your volume to max every night your alarm will be quiet? 😂😂😂 iOS is a joke to any android power user
Yes, I do agree with you. Without going into detail I've used Android since 2012 and I've always found it much more functional and convenient than iOS in many ways. While the hardware is the best I find that iPhone software is pretty basic compared to Android software. Good video, thanks.
Just like iPhone's, Apples computers are the same. inconvenient and extreme headache. settings are right there at your finger tip on Android while on IOS you have to go through alot just to turn off Bluetooth or wifi. My God its so annoying and the reason why I was depressed for a year when I decided to get the iPhone X thinking it would be special and different but it was a nightmare and complete headache. Windows like Android also gives you action Eton perform right there, no need to have to go to the task bar to close out on an app you don't even still have open and then you have to click back to the app you are using to do the same. My God why why why? can't they just make it quick and easy. It's too much going back and forth to close programs and apps on Apple's computers but like Android, everything is a complete breeze, quick, convenient, and super easy to get to while OSx is exhausting. Also don't like how Apple has their Taskbar set at the top because having to continously look at the time makes me feel nauseous and is probably why I just can't get into using macs but I've tried and so many times. I just can't stand Unix. It's so plain and boring.
This guy really spending the whole night to compare his iPhone and Google Pixel phone 😁.. Yeah, I like using android more for almost the same reason too. I tried my friend's iPhone before, and it really lack so many things than android in my opinion. Especially about the home screen customization where I can't put an app icon in random places in iOS if I don't want the icon to block my wallpaper view. While in android I can place the app icon wherever I want at the home screen.
Thanks for addressing these. These are all the must that one will use on their day to day routine. No one addressed these before. Yes there are flaws in Android but those are negligible. Thanks again 👍
As an exclusive iOS user for the past 8 years, you’ve been me a lot of food for thought 🎉 really considering to switch soon but too used to continuity features between my mac and iphone 😢
@@officialvisauralYes, which is why he used the words "in my opinion" quite deliberately. I'm an Android user who has never owned an iPhone. I don't believe that I can convert iPhone users to Android through persuasion. I just wish iPhone users would be more open minded about what iPhone can and cannot do, and actually try Android, not just swallow Apple marketing messages whole. (I have tried an Ipad, which was a very frustrating experience.)
2yrs ago i switched from android to ios after using android for 10yrs. i always found that despite the fluidity of ios, it always felt a bit slower somehow and involved extra steps to do simple tasks. i could never explain it to others. thanks to this video, now i can! even opening bluetooth or wifi setting takes 3taps on ios rather than 2 taps on android.
Apple do not add lot of useful stuff because they're afraid their device will lag. Pixel and Samsung flagships are fast and snappy despite have so many useful features.
Only issue stopping from switching to iOS is the lack of t9 like search in stock dialler app and back swipe depends on app level and not all apps use them and sometimes it's confusing

I know i will never use an iPhone because of the lack of a file explorer. The amount of bs Apple tells to enforce their "Apple way" propaganda is insane
The idea of the video is excellent 🌚❤️ + And for myself, I will not use any Apple device for two reasons. The first is the Apple fanboys, and the second is Apple’s horrible imposition on the user. The simplest thing is that more than one name can not be specified in the contacts together to delete them, for example + I have a suggestion, which is to review the OnePlus 11 and Xiaomi 13 as well. They are excellent choices, too 😁

Having used an iphone 11 pro max for the past 4 years, you tend to get used to how it works and become oblivious to the extra taps, but side by side its true, it wastes a lot of time!
iOS is for old people - Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Autorotation, Auto brightness, Screen Dim - all these are cumbersome to toggle on a daily basis [actually On and Off not just pause them] - No modularity in volume panel, either silent or ring. A dedicated vibration mode is a solid miss in iOS - transferring files to PC is a hassle - All call history is under phone app, which is confusing to say the least - notification swipe down pauses everything that you are doing, including ongoing video call in pip - dumbest calculator app in the history - restarting phone is unnecessarily complicated if the phone has frozen - app store is slow af (google cache servers around the world are way faster) - animations are smooth but slow af compared to android -Doesn't do background task, apps have to be open for syncing or downloading (Gdrive, Spotify) in iOS - auto rotation is more accessible in Android 12,13 - Gboard works better in Android (regional language) - gesture navigation in Android is easier, faster and more accessible - iOS emojis are 🗑 - certain budget phone data plans are straight up not available for iOS in specific countries
I agree even on this video iPhone animations were slow. I use my phone at 0.5x animations with developer options. I wonder if iPhone have something like developer options
iOS is built on getting from point A to B as few distractions as possible. While it tries to center itself around productivity ever since Steve jobs passed it's been more about adding new features rather than finding ways to integrate their already existing ones properly. Having an Android phone allows you to use your mobile phone as a miniature PC.
iOS is certainly not built to be A to B OS for almost anything. It's A B C... Z to C. This videos shows why, also iOS always had so much bullshit with it like iTunes. iOS was simple and nice only when it was iPhone OS and then it slowly turned into turd. It's now oddly more complex and less functional than Android.
for the longest time now, I've been looking for a video like this from a guy like you. I am not gonna lie, but i hoped that you would cover more stuff.. i own both iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Pixel 7 Pro, and i wanted to sell one of them and keep the better one i hope you make part 2 of this series soon and cover the remaining aspects, thanks.
My experience: I tried iphones. 13 mini, 12 pm and 13pm. In short. stay away. android is cheaper, and does everything even better. One of many issues with iphone: there is no straight forward simple way to change ringtone in iphones in 2024
Personally I like to move back and forth between iOS and Android. Currently I have the S23 Ultra but Ive had many iPhones before it. I kinda like the look of the Pixels in your videos so I might give that a shot the next time around. And at some point I’ll definitely go back to iPhone again. There are too many cool phones out there to stubbornly lock yourself into one brand. Good on you for at least trying out the iPhone even though you obviously prefer Android. :)
You should definitely at least try the Pixel because at first I wasn't a fan of the way they made Android 12 look but after actually trying it out I just love it
Most of my Androids have been LG phones. I've used Samsung, HTC, Huawei, Umidigi, Motorola but kept going back to LG because the UI. Since LG stopped making phones I've been sticking with Motorola. I tried my second Samsung this year and am greatly disappointed in it. Features my first one had that I liked and appreciated have been remove and replace with crap I don't have a use for.
Uff. I never had an iPhone. My first smartphone was a Windows Phone and after that I switched to Android. I'm so surprised that iPhones lack so much in convenience... didn't liked Apple because of their absurd prices and first of all their "apple universe" prison thing. But I thaught, that the iOS is quite similar, just a bit different. Well, the difference is huge...
The biggest problem you missed was the lack of a specific BACK BUTTON.
for each app you have to do different things to go back.
@@Atomic-Purple-Guy there's also no search in the settings. You have to search all over for a specific settings. Very annoying.

Its give or take, ios system controls are more consistent, but the back button is more fragmented. They would have to define exactly what the button will do, which will still vary a bit

ios is more of eye candy than a functional operating system.

As my boss in software engineering once told me, "The iPhone is to look cool, and the Android is to do cool.".
Iphone can't do half the things android can.
As much as I love Apple's macOS over Windows I can agree iOS is so overrated and annoying to use compared to Android
It has been like that since the beginning (IOS version 1) so Apple has become committed now and can't change.
@Bayonet1809 wth😂😂😂
I'm not a fanboy, but I believe I know why
So settings for casual users is a one time thing.
Often I find that iPhone users don't explore their phones as much as Android users explore and try things.
Nice video👍
Click on the word you want to edit - hold the space bar on the keyboard - swipe around and the cursor will move accordingly, letter to letter
@@AshishPrinz I know that's also possible on Android. But on Android you just tap where you want to edit and you edit. On iOS the cursor always places before or after a word.
@@jeroendevries1 I agree and it becomes a task altogether, where on Android a single touch would do
It”s not a critical to do )))
@@АндрійПозняков-н2ф 😂😂stop gatekeeping bro
could have added one more thing about Gboard and Google Translate integration.

It irks me every time people claim that apple is easier to use. Like my grandma uses an android ffs, she an illiterate but she does well with her android phone. Last time we got her an iphone, she got pissed the next day. Apple is a lot of stress to use
Ye apple devices really seems like toys and generic nothing special i am not impressed by iphone 13 i like galaxy a34 more
I agree with all these reasons. Consequently, there are many more reasons. For instance, modded apps have kept me on Android.
same you dont need jail break and coustom roms apks as a developer export apk done apple you need to own a mac
There's just sooooooooooooo much more.
Try comparing a Samsung with an iPhone.
You'll be blown away.
As I was, when I got the S22 Ultra after dropping and destroying my XS Max.

@navixaxa5023 i def agree with android being better Im rocking the Samsung A54g on my end
apple is going to add split screen and call it a revolutionary feature
While I think the title is exaggerated, I agree with you and I've no idea how come a company, known for their software and fleecing their customers, while making billions, are behind Android, which is basically free in comparison.
Apple should light years ahead of Android (and it was in the early days of Android), but all of this is just living on the past glory.
Aside of the ease of file transfer between Apple devices and energy efficiency, I see no real upsides of having iOS over Android. I think those days are over and Android seems to be pulling ahead more and more as the time goes on.
Android is the reason what makes a smartphone actually smart. Not hating IOS, But android is much better for fast works and multitasking.
No matter how much you tell them, even with this kind of video, some or maybe most would still be in denial.
There still are, they like to watch those people that would do some Benchmarks stuff and tell them to get IPhones 🤣
#TeamPixel

I got my 14 pro now. What to do to overcome this annoying problem. I sometimes feel like throwing it off
yup and dont even let me start on how stupid correcting text while typing a message is, and how many times slid back for no reason and lost the text... so fucking stupid
Literally swipe right😂😂
It's frustrating
@@Pierrexwrld he didn't say it's nonexistent, he said it's inconsistent. It behaves differently in different apps and doesn't exist in others.
The freedom to switch default apps.
iOS is a joke to any android power user
Basic users wont mind ios limitations but tech savvys would be frustrated.
Yes, I do agree with you. Without going into detail I've used Android since 2012 and I've always found it much more functional and convenient than iOS in many ways. While the hardware is the best I find that iPhone software is pretty basic compared to Android software. Good video, thanks.
As many have said, "Android is and always will be the smartest OS for a smartphone".
Ultimately it’s down to what you need as a user that matters. It’s not like this guy speaks for everyone in the world.
(I have tried an Ipad, which was a very frustrating experience.)
iPhone is getting more and more Android features, but I prefer Android.
The more i try to justify trying an iphone, the more i understand that it will not work for me.
Trust me,you’ll find many other issues and annoyances if you switch completely.
As someone who uses both, definitely keyboard functions and Split screen/Floating windows are features i wish to be in ios soon.
If you wish hard enough, you'll get those features...in about 7 years from now.

I know i will never use an iPhone because of the lack of a file explorer. The amount of bs Apple tells to enforce their "Apple way" propaganda is insane
The idea of the video is excellent 🌚❤️

Here in Africa/uganda.. people hold iPhones to look rich but in reality they know they miss a lot from Android 😅😊
Soooo very true
iPhone: status phone
Android : pratical phone
Having used an iphone 11 pro max for the past 4 years, you tend to get used to how it works and become oblivious to the extra taps, but side by side its true, it wastes a lot of time!
That's the point it is not simple OS and it just works is myth
iOS is for old people
- Wifi, Bluetooth, GPS, Autorotation, Auto brightness, Screen Dim - all these are cumbersome to toggle on a daily basis [actually On and Off not just pause them]
- No modularity in volume panel, either silent or ring. A dedicated vibration mode is a solid miss in iOS
- transferring files to PC is a hassle
- All call history is under phone app, which is confusing to say the least
- notification swipe down pauses everything that you are doing, including ongoing video call in pip
- dumbest calculator app in the history
- restarting phone is unnecessarily complicated if the phone has frozen
- app store is slow af (google cache servers around the world are way faster)
- animations are smooth but slow af compared to android
-Doesn't do background task, apps have to be open for syncing or downloading (Gdrive, Spotify) in iOS
- auto rotation is more accessible in Android 12,13
- Gboard works better in Android (regional language)
- gesture navigation in Android is easier, faster and more accessible
- iOS emojis are 🗑
- certain budget phone data plans are straight up not available for iOS in specific countries
iOS does have a dedicated vibration mode; it's actually a hardware switch and something I wish Google would implement.
@@Eric_Higgins OnePlus Android phones have this.
Productive and iOS are opposite things
for the longest time now, I've been looking for a video like this from a guy like you. I am not gonna lie, but i hoped that you would cover more stuff.. i own both iPhone 13 Pro Max and the Pixel 7 Pro, and i wanted to sell one of them and keep the better one
i hope you make part 2 of this series soon and cover the remaining aspects, thanks.
Just keep both bro
@theelevenpost5690 well it sounds nice but trust me it's a hassle and requires a lot of effort lol
So basically you want more influence to sell your phone :)
My experience: I tried iphones. 13 mini, 12 pm and 13pm. In short. stay away. android is cheaper, and does everything even better. One of many issues with iphone: there is no straight forward simple way to change ringtone in iphones in 2024
The main reason I stick with Android is because it can sideload apps. All these other reasons is the cherry on top.
No one can tell 5 things that are better on ios, not even 3.
iPhone creates the delusion that the phone is your's and not the company's, but android make it yours.
That is good idea but I guess with Android you can always go cheaper or more expensive
Good job 👍 I tried to use iOS several times, but it always ended up with frustration 😅.
