It's so crazy how far ahead google assistant is than every other assistant. I love google assistant because it just works for 99% of things you ask it to do. Plus, google's compatibility with smart home devices is just straight up insane. However bixby is pretty cool too and it even has more up it's sleeve that it can do that I don't even think assistant can do. Also I use bixby routines for a fuck ton of things, and it works flawlessly.

The biggest downfall for Alexa is that it's a third party voice assistant. I think that's the reason why Alexa failed so miserably in device control because as a third party app, certain access/function is limited. If you think about it, google assistant, siri, and bixby are part of the system by default and therefore integrated better with the OS.

Bixby was fantastic at first, but I prefer Google Assistant because it's so much simpler and more adaptable. I have morning and night routines that include turning on my rgb lights, Philips bedside lights, any plugs and the fan, my PC if I've left it on.
Also I've made a routine where I tell Google that I have work at a certain time, and it will set two alarms for me because I prefer having two alarms to wake me up :p I also have a smart switchboard, so I've set it to turn off my charging in 40 minutes because that's how long my phone takes to charge fully, and it also turns on half an hour before I wake up just in case it hasn't been fully charged. Just so I won't be charging it excessively. Really hand with this kind of customizations. It's also worked in many odd things too, which was surprising. Defo ahead of the game.

    Little (pedantic) things I realised.
    0:39
Amazon Alexa didnt exactly get the question right. It took "69 42" as "6942". (Probably would've worked if you said something like 69 dollars and 42 cents)
    1:25
Apple doesnt actually start the countdown to take the photo, but it does set the right time (Unless that was a coincident) Edit: Thats the night mode timer.
    2:40
Google's humming to song is actually quite incredible, tried it before non-ironically because I didnt know the song but knew a tune from it.
    5:16
Siri didnt play a song, just opened youtube.
    6:31
Bixby failed to name the contact "New Dad", maybe a little pedantic.

The often downplayed Bixby has one thing up its sleeve: not only it integrates with the system, including system apps, but by binding it with SmartThings, if you have a SmartThings hub, you can control smart home stuff made for Google Home and Alexa. And probably some more (Tuya, IFTTT, etc).
Btw, I really think Microsoft should bring back Cortana, with integrations for other systems, and support for their own apps and services.

The reason Alexa can't do half the things is because, It's not tied to OS like in case of Google and Android's , Bixby and Samsung, Siri and Apple, Alexa just acts like a normal app over the phone, so it doesn't always has the necessary permission and control over it's action compared to native assistant.
A better way to compare AI's of smart assistant would be comparing smart speakers. 😇😇

Like Alexa can do things that he did not test that the phones cannot do. So how is this a fair test? Alexa should have been missed out if testing phone assistants.

Losing Google Assistant to Siri has been the single most painful thing about switching to iPhone from Samsung. In response I use my voice assistant WAY less now than before. I know you can use Assistant on iOS, but you have to launch it first, which defeats the entire point of having a voice-activated assistant.
Really hoping Apple can either stop being stingy about that (as they did with third party keyboards, etc.) or at least beef up Siri.
