Android has the same feature as Apple iMessage. It's called the RCS message protocol. With the RCS message protocol, you can get the same features as Apple's iMessage, including typing indicators and the ability to send photos and videos over Wi-Fi and mobile data. With the upcoming iOS 18, Apple is going to adopt the RCS message protocol.
The only Reason i agree with is the UI Design and Fluidity. The Build quality of Flagship Androids is on par with new iPhones. iMessage is an US only problem. Images get sent over Wifi via Whatsapp to Androids too.
I agree with what you're saying. Build quality was my last point for a reason because there are some really good flagship androids out there. Also I did point out in my video that iMessage is a problem only here in the US because of the huge market share here. Nobody really uses other messaging apps 😕
I didn’t know Whatsapp compresses pics/videos. I guess my point still stands :) if I didn’t share a lot of pictures with family then it wouldn’t be a big deal.
That's cute. I have 45 reasons why iOS is 10 years behind Android in features, usability and utility: 1. Notifications. There isn't even a comparison. iOS notifications are horrendous, even Android notifications from 2012 are better than today's iOS notifications. 2. Apps. This is one of the biggest iOS flaws. App Store don't have variety of Apps, therefore, lots of relevant and quality apps are missing. When I switched to iOS, I missed about 20 essential apps that I used every week, and I couldn't find any alternative for them on the Apple Store, even in paid apps. For example, something so trivial like a MUSIC PLAYER APP, there's not ONE in iOS that is at least comparable with PowerAmp on Android, even in paid apps. 4. No real file manager. Unbelievable. This totally spoils the usage of the OS in so many ways. 3. No always-On Screen. iOS don't have this in 2023 while Android had it for so many years. 5. The iOS keyboard sucks, while Android's Gboard is actually pretty good. You can install third party keyboards on iOS, but the keyboad will still be almost equally bad because Apple forces third party keyboards to use the Apple's API. 6. Siri sucks so much. Google Assistant is extremely good, I'd say it's 10 years ahead of Siri. 7. Selecting text is really dumb and slow on iOS compared to Android. 8. No Sideloading apps. 9. Extremely poor customization and no third party launchers. 10. No system-wide adblocker. 11. No real browser like Kiwi on Android, that let's you install any desktop browser extensions. Safari is a joke, and again, Apple don't let you install a third party browser to surpass this issue, because all iOS browsers on App Store use Safari's API, so in reality no matter which browser you use, you are always running Safari. The exact same problem happens with third party keyboard, as I explained. 12. No possibility to set default apps. 13. No real and interactive widgets. It's true that iOS finally implemented widgets after 13 years that Android had it (lol) but it still doesn't come close to Android's widget, as iOS widgets aren't really interactive. 14. No universal back gesture. 15. No split screen/multitasking. 16. Can't change volume independently for alarm, media, notifications, etc. 17. No fingerprint scanner. 18. No call recording. 19. No usb stick/hard disk support through OTG. 20. No direct face unlock without swiping. 21. No file transfer to PC. I can't stand that iTunes bullshit. 22. No Picture in Picture feature/floating apps like Google Maps does on Android. 23. No console emulators. 24. No possibility to installing custom roms. 25. No possibility to download torrents. 26. No possibility to change size of all the text on the system. 27. No native OGG and FLAC support. 28. Still uses lightning port. Edit: they finally implemented USB-C in 2023 because they were forced to (europe regulations), but the speed is the same as the old lightning port (lol), so not on par with the average Android USB-C. 29. No MHL (mirror phone to monitor/TV). 30. No desktop mode like some Androids have, for example Samsung DeX and Motorola Ready. 31. No quick disable auto brightness 32. Correcting words is a nightmare because the cursor only goes to beginning or end of words, not where you touch it like on Android. 33. Phone dialer app is a joke. No cursor, if you accidently press a wrong number, you have to backspace the whole thing and redo again, and the same goes for the calculator app. And no T9 dialing. 34. No pause in video recording. 35. No battery saver (low power mode on iOS is a gimmick). On Android the power saver would drastically extend the battery life. 36. if an app is malfunctioning, you will have to uninstall and reinstall, while on Android you could just clear cache/data 37. No option to use navigation buttons 38. if an app crashes, it will just close or freeze abruptly with no notification whatsoever, while on Android it will give you a notification that the app has stopped working and give you options to force close or to wait. 39. No Clipboard feature 40. Totally unintuitive way to change app settings. Most apps settings can't be accessed directly from the app, you have to leave the app, open phone settings, look for the app, then locate the app settings. The same goes for the camera app, no menu inside the camera app. Also no pro mode for the camera. 41. No pin to screen feature 42. Photo management is terrible, for example, Whatsapp photos get saved in the camera roll. Wtf? 43. Still no easy native way to add custom ringtones. Laughable. 44. No scrolling screeshots 45. No option to change animation speed, which decreases speed, or at the very least, decreases the perceptibility of speed. Of course there are a lot of other small things and details that I don't recall right now or don't know, but I won't extend further. It's over for applefags.
The biggest advantage with Android is that you can buy devices according to your financial condition and all devices will have a value for money advantage..
Many of your points are simply not true, while others are completely dumb. You are saying that there is no files app, even though there is one. You are saying that iPhones don't have always on displays, which is also not true. You are saying picture in picture is not a thing, even though it is. "but the speed is the same as the old lightning" my iPhone 15 pros transfer speed of 10 Gbps is faster than most androids, including samsungs flagships. You are also saying you can't clear the cache when an app stops working..... Firstly apps crash extremely rarely unlike on android where it happens every single day, secondly you can easily clear the cache of an app in the apps settings. Most of your points are also non issues. For most of your points there is a counter point to android. Also, what does a feature of a third party app have to do with the iPhones photo management? What a braindead list
I've been an Apple user since the 1980s. Trust me when I say this. Do NOT under any circumstances store your media on Apple iCloud. Store YOUR media on a third-party cloud storage. If you don't this, it will make it nearly impossible to leave the walled garden without much pain or leaving YOUR media.

I'm not trying to defend iCloud or anything, but it's not hard to download your stuff from any cloud, and transfer it back out to another storage device of your choice. The real problem is if you use Apple's proprietary software and apps. For example, I had a harder time copy and pasting out stuff from Notes and Keynote.
I have always been an Android user. Just a month ago I bought my first iPhone to try out. The 15 pro. This video perfectly sums up my experience. There's lots that feels a little clunky with apple. The keyboard is the worst part of the iphone. I do however, like the amount of work apple puts in to make a seamless experience. It does seem to flow more, and apps just integrate with each other. I'm still unsure if i'll stick with it, or get myself a 2024 android.
I just miss the back button so much and i miss the hole punch. And I don’t like that if you owe subscriptions money Apple won’t let you download any free apps. And if they don’t accept your card you’ll also have issues. On Android they could care less lol.
@@kevaughngolding9156I went back to the Android, and sold the 15 Pro. Apple makes a fine product, no doubt, but the Android is just something I feel a lot better using.
@kevaughngolding9156 Metro by t-mobile has a deal on the Samsung S23 fe that if you switch over your number, it's only $49.99!!! So I'm gonna go with my partner, and we're gonna upgrade. But yeah, after dealing with Apple's lies, greed, and bs, I'm absolutely done with them and will be selling all Apple items. It's hard to sell my tablet that I begged my mom for it was the iPad 6th Gen that I got on my birthday, so it holds sentimental value to me.

After 12 years with android i switched to apple last week. Everything works fine and smooth. Happy customer so far. Switched from a OnePlus 8t to a 15 pro max
I have been an ultra / note user for years. My whole life basically. I too switched to iPhone 15 and I’m in love with it ! I find my self staring at my phone for no reason. It’s stunning. I never felt this for my ultra
@@Gerardo96-f6cso switching to iphone isnt as terrible as everyone else is making it out to be? i have an old android phone and want to switch to an iphone but everyone tells me its gonna be awful
@@meshofesha7789 how old is your android ? I had an s23 ultra and when I switched I was able to transfer all my photos, videos, contacts, messages, in like 10 minutes using the “move to IOS app” . And I had no problem at all moving my stuff over. What did take me a bit was setting up an Apple ID and all those steps because I was a true new user to iPhone . I have a friend who had a Samsung A50 and he was also able to transfer everything in minutes. As long as your android doesn’t crash it’ll be fast and easy. If you buy your iPhone at your carrier store however , they will transfer everything for you even faster . Making it even easier on you. I only did it my self because I purchase straight from Apple/samsung . But if you go in person it’ll be easier
@@meshofesha7789 but yea it’s not as bad as people say . I’m not saying no one has EVER had issues cause I’m sure they have . Just like there’s issues moving from IOS to android . Long time Android use here who has been using the iPhone 13 for 6 months. The ui is inconsistent. Navigation within the system and apps is easier with Android navigation gestures. Cameras are about the same. Battery life is similar with the s23 series. One thing I can tell you is that my s23 gets better reception than any of our iPhones. That alone will keep me on Android.
I also noticed this. I have a S22 ultra and also an iPhone both me and my wife and the reception on the S22 ultra is always better. We travel a lot in places with low signal and most of the time where the iPhone doesn't have signal, the S22 ultra does.
I have s22 ultra and at work my phone barely can send out text or make calls the Wi-Fi is crap and when I turn it off it says searching get on my 14 plus no issues .I am a iPhone user I prefer my iPhone over android any day and my children most people I know have iPhones my 3 brothers are android users personal preference.
I used to be passionately team android. I made a deal with one my best friends who happened to like iPhones just as much I did Androids. The next phone I'd buy would be an iPhone and then I'd tell him why I didn't like it when I switched back to Android. This was in 2017 and I am now still using an iPhone, so technically I still haven't had to tell him he was right.

I’ve seen your video pop up on my recommendations for a while now. I’ve been on iOS for three years about to be four years in March consistently, I will be getting the iPhone 15 Pro Max very soon, but I also will be picking up a Google Pixel 8 Pro as well in the near future. I can’t find a phone or operating system that makes me want to commit wholeheartedly, so I just go back-and-forth between Android and iOS but now I’m just gonna use Android and iOS simultaneously.
These switching smartphone videos are now just a way of getting people's attention otherwise they're based on biased opinions and doesn't help much in regards to helping people decide which brand is better as such i think its better for people to try these products on their own and make their own assessment
Buying an iPhone is like moving into a fully furnished house - just bring your towels and toothbrush, and you’re all set. I appreciate this video detailing how Apple’s interfaces are meticulously designed, sparing users from the hassle of customization. Personally, I don’t require much from my phone and lack the time to tweak every setting for each app. I agree that the iMessage and app optimization are selling points. The iPhone’s popularity in America stems from its plug-and-play simplicity - it’s ready to use without a manual. As a college student, my iPhone serves more than just communication; it’s a multi tool for saving notes, managing tasks, recording lectures, and scanning documents . Plus, iCloud storage ensures seamless access to my media across all devices. After over 10 years of using the iPhone, I am satisfied with the phone’s performance.
I’ve used both… I started using Android when the original Note debuted. Apple was the 1st smart phone tho, so up until that point I was using an iPhone and was into Jailbreaking and all that jazz once that all started to be popular. Once I started using Android’s I got into rooting and swapping ROMs and all that too!! Im wanting to use Android because I really would like to use a Z Fold 5… my last Android phone was the Note 20 Ultra… I LOVED that phone ! Even got a Tab S7+ to go along with it!! But… ended up selling it all and going back to Apple. Everything just works better and flows more fluently IMO!! There’s always a honeymoon phase when I’ve tried switching back to Android. I’m in a lot group txt threads and the experience was HORRIBLE with that! Along with limited media files that you were allowed to send through txt 😢 I don’t understand why Android users get so upset with Apple users 😅 I’ve literally used BOTH to their FULLEST and have concluded that Apple suits me the most… to each their own 🤷♂️
I was thinking going to Android as I see some cool developments and cost, but had the same reasons as you gave for not doing that. I am afraid ultimately Android has too many services continuity limitations and you require too much tinkering to find alternatives. As I get older, I value service functionality, ease of use, and overall integration, which Apple simply does best. Only if the cost could be cheaper that would be ideal, because one thing I really hate is that the cheaper devices from Apple lack just 1-2 features that I always find important and they put them in Pro models...
13 year android user year...I'm switching to iPhone..Android is too glitchy...have the pixel and I'm over it...90% of my friends and family have iPhone...so imessage and FaceTime is a big reason too. iPhone build and OS is just rock solid
@anon2414 You are right! But on the IPhone went through some bugs and glitches like the camera app just black out on me when I opened. IIOS design language is something questionable.
and android isnt? I can think of 20 glitches per day on android (granted had it 2 years ago so not latest experience). Overall, Android as OS is way more questionable than IOS @@miko-ee
I really wish Apple just went all the way with iOS. It's great overall and looks and feels nice, but navigating it can be super counter-intuitive. Why do I have to go to the settings app for almost every little thing, while on Android settings are always accessible from within the apps themselves? For an OS that claims to be intuitive, that sure as hell isn't. Same goes for the back gesture on iOS, or the lack thereof. In some apps it's a swipe from the left, in some it's a button on the top left, and in some instances you have to swipe down...often it's different even within the same app depending on which menu you're in. That's just not a good thing to do
I agree on the gesture control, sometimes its weird but in 90% of the time its not an issue. As for the settings, I actually prefer that. I think it brings order to the chaos of settings as most apps follow unified approach to the settings. You always know what you can do to an app in the settings menu vs in-app settings. Also, most apps still allow for in-app tweaking, its just for major bits that relate to data tracking and some phone hardware control that you must go to the settings menu on IOS. This actually does make sense as it allows for easier privacy control and overview of your settings per app. Of course, if you do not use IOS often it can be hella frustrating for a few months till you get used to it :D @@leDespicable
Living outside of the US I can't understand many of those iPhone advantages. Nobody uses iMessage and the default way of communication and video sharing is through Watts App. The only weakness of Android usage of Watts App is if I use the in-app camera functionality instead of the device camera app and then attaching the video. Downloading and uploading files to the PC is better with Android device because the phone just looks like external USB drive when connected. Finally, the elephant in the room is the price. Buying iPhones outside the US is even more expensive then in the US and buying the basest Apple ecosystem (iPhone+MacBook air) is twice the cost of comparable ecosystem (I use Asus ZenFone+TUF laptop) and I get a laptop that's good enough for gaming as a bonus. I also require a Windows PC for work so the MacBook would be in addition to the TUF.
The more and more I use Android and iPhone side by side while travelling I am drawn to iPhone because of camera shutter and video smoothness. Everything else is caught by Android I guess. Oh yeah. the face ID which works in dark, with cap, glasses, Apple Pay, Hide my email, Login with Apple ID. These are some of the best features. No match on Android side as per me.
@@pearlsofwisdom101samsung pass, samsung wallet, samshng have all of those perhaps even more. Don't forget the modes and routines which makes your phone an automation machine, oh yeah, also a working proper back button and notification center
What I don’t get: Every person is ready to install every social media garbage app but nobody wants a single app to receive pictures of the children? The people in the us are strange.

Can't stay stuck with the same setup . If I'm gonna pay all that money for a phone I should be able to change settings my way
There's only one major flaw to your comparison and that's regarding the software support. Apple is still years ahead of any android brand when it comes to delivering regular updates that actually solves minor issues, unlike its android counterparts. Even though, for example purposes only, Samsung delivers 4 android updates + 5 year security patches, with their flagship lineups, most often than not, those patches don't solve a single thing. Starting from galaxy s3, I've had almost every single Samsung S series and Note series phone, and let me tell you, camera focus issue on Samsung phones was always there, even back in the day. They still haven't find a way to fix it or, they choose not to do so. S21ultra had it, s22ultra as well and even s23ultra. Every single one of those phones could not provide you with a constantly decent photos/ videos of a moving subject. Sure, they can get the job done, but you will have to work for it, more often than you would want. Every year, after a few months after launching their new flagship series, Samsung issues a patch which was, supposedly, going to fix the camera issues. But, it never does. Than you spend time waiting for another patch and the cycle goes on. Soon enough, new flagship phones are set to launch and the older gen gets forgotten. They still keep pushing updates, patches, but no one cares now, there's a new kid on the block. Iphone, on the other hand, gets the job done almost every single time. Sure, some hickups occure when you rush a new product, but they don't ignore it. They promptly issue a patch that fixes the problem. Not having to delete tons of blurry photos (or unusable videos) every time I wanna capture my toddler running around the house, goofing around is a huge difference and a headache remover, at least in my book.
The S24 and Google Pixels are getting 7 years of updates. Also there are unlocked bootloaders and custom ROMs that effectively give your Android phone unlimited support
Totally true i have a Tab S9 ultra im still on the July security update Since Apple released the update 1 week later they released another update with the same iOS version 17.6.1 but with different build number The iPhone feels extremely fast and smoother than the first iOS 17.6.1 September 16 when my iPhone 14 Pro Max arrived by ups Buy the time I received the iPhone at home I received a notification in my old iPhone saying that Apple just released iOS 16.0.1 emergency update to fix issues for users that was unable to restore from backup True love & respect for Apple
This is my experience. First iOS device was a 12 - which I still have because 1. my kid's schools force them into iPads from Grade 4 all the way to Year 9. 2. because we use the apple family safety features - my wife and I both gave up our S series Galaxy's for an 11 for my wife and a 12 for me 3. My prev Gen 1 series only has apple car play - no android auto unless I spend a lot of cash on an adaptor that will force iDrive to work with Android Auto - or I get a new car 4. I have a crappy Motorola g31 that I got for free running Android 12 and just for a laugh - I put my SIM card into it and daily drove it for a week. The entire Android experience is so much better than Apple (I don't do social media like FB, TikTok etc so I don't care about the lower quality camera photos when using the Whatsapp camera vs the native camera) - just having notifications that make sense, or not having to navigate that stupid setting screen to change something instead of just changing it in the app then and there makes Android superior in usability. I've been watching more and more videos of iOS vs Android - I think I might trade in the 12 for a Pixel 8 now that they've said they will be supporting it for 7 years of Android updates.
No man, I was every time switching between iphone and android and I would say that it today is much more personal choice….i prefer iOS because the UI/UX…for me is incomparable, the only android that would give a good experience as iOS is google pixel, but they have a poor chipset nowadays.
Got an S24 and a Samsung Watch 6 Classic a few weeks ago - traded in my 12 , my iWatch and my wifes 11 at the apple store. I miss the iWatch -I think the sensors on the iWatch are more accurate than the Samsung watch (but I prefer a circular watch shape than the square iWatch - and would have kept the iWatch if it worked fully with an Android phone - but it doesn't so I figured I'd use it to get some money back for it) and of course I have broken all the iMessage group chats - but other than that - am very happy with the S24 - even though in Australia we get the shit Exynos processor not the Snapdragon. I couldn't stretch the budget to a S24 Ultra - and to be honest - I prefer the smaller form factor - and I don't see myself ever using the pen and simply don't want to have to fit such a large device into my pocket.
Thought about switching to android, but I have like 6k pics and videos that if I transfer using Google photos, I can no longer send them to iOS via texts
Im sticking with Android. I switched over from iPhone. And honestly i'm never going back. I love my Pixel. I definitely don't care about the blue and green bubble debate. Its stupid i don't care about what others have to say
Same here team pixel . I enjoy the AI features that are only available on pixel devices , And Are you in the U.S cus here , people make the Imessage thing a cult 😂 it's annoying but I really do not care
Whatever said here only applies in the US, I have been using Iphones for a long time but only 1 year ago I used iMessage quite briefly, plus allot of apps are more optimized to Android than Apple, it's easier and more fluid in an Android than Apple
Multitasking is still poop in iphones and some banking apps I use are still not available on apple store. Scrolling and animations may feel fluid but they're too slow for me who prefers faster animations and there's no universal back button on iOS
I had Android before for a long time then switched to Apple it’s been 5 years now I want to go back bc this shit is limited for the things I’ve been trying to do! 😂
that's the reason why I switch over to iOS too, the little things that some folks may not care. how the animations work, fluidity, coherence, overall feel. although I sacrificed battery but it helped me be mindful with how I consumed tech be more present in real life, make my device just a tool. plus the 2nd hand market and tech support is great here.
Nah, I just switch from iPhone to Android, boy how much a relief. Not falsely lied to with sense of security which is not secure. As not in the US, apps in some countries come in Android first then iPhone.
This is the first one of your videos I’ve seen. As a new subscriber to your channel, I’ll definitely be back often because you’ve got some of the highest production values I’ve seen on the YT platform. The intro to this video was truly next level. Really nicely done content!
Canadian here and Windows Phone fanboy who switched to Andriod; I use iOS at work. I have friends and family on iOS however rarely use iMessage, but use WhatsApp and WeChat regularly instead. The iOS smooth animations of opening and closing apps etc. was a copy from Windows Phone since iOS 7 back in 2013. Only on Windows Phone and Android can you plug your phone into a computer and drag and drop MP3s, JPGs, etc. hassle free.
Every daily use takes 2-3 extra steps. Even typing this message I don't need to change the screen. Apple is frustrating to try to use or learn to use 🤷🏼♂️
Switched to iphone this week from my samsung galaxy s10 plus and i hate it... 1. To transfer files and whatsapp was a heavy work. Took me hours and intensive research 2. No option to pause video recording 3. No call recording 4. Very hard to download pdf files. Instead of just getting downloaded, it opens in a new tab and then u have to share it, save it etc 5. Even the calculator is very basic,. In android, u can see the calculatioms u done just in the screen itself, but in ios the app is like an old one we used 20 yra ago 6. No numbers on the keypad 7. Even if we switch to numerical keyboard from alphabets, the most frequent symbols like *, +, #, etc are on the second page of symbols.. These are the things that got to my nerves just in 3 days.
I just made the switch recently from the S22 ultra to the 13 pro max. I feel like such a traitor. Lol. I still have my S22 but I like the feel of the 13 pro max much better. Just wish the keyboard had a few more features.
You see I love apple but, for example, I also miss being able to download apps to get free ringtones. And more freedom of customization, but it has been along time since I owned an android phone in the first, which was from a pretty crappy, android phone to an iPhone 6s and I can tell you it was an astronomical difference and upgrade. I’ve been looking at new phones like the Samsung galaxy S 23 and comparing them to my new iPhone 14 promax and iPhone such as xiaomi and oppo or whatever they are. And I can tell you that I’m happy with my purchase of the iPhone 14 promax it is just a great all-around phone to carry in my pocket every day, and although there are small places where android beats Apple, nothing beats Apple software and the seamless design and optimization of it they put so many hours of work in to. So Apple versus android I think it really depends on you like you said, I like this channel and I have subscribed I hope to see you go farther. Thank you. Have a great day.
You do realize that application developers that create the apps that you use don't actually work at apple, nor apple does any part in optimizing the apps, it's just that we know you guys are morons that pay for the apps so we make sure that they are more stable there so you can keep paying for most of the stuff that we release for free on android.
This was a really good video. I currently use an Android phone and (despite having worked for Apple in two of their stores as a post-retirement job) have never owned an iPhone. I'm considering a switch, and you make some really good points in this video as to why that might not be a bad idea. Good stuff!
Trust me when i tell you, if you switch to iphones you will like them they're good phones but they are very boring and limited. If you're ok with that you might use it for a couple of years but you will go back to android because of their innovation and the fact that they are so open and you can do whatever you want with your phone. (coming from an iphone 14 pro max user) soon switching to the s24 ultra :)
@@largon2008 That's the thing man. I'm primarily an Android user. And sometimes little quality of life issues stack up over here and remind my why the seamless functionality of the iPhone is so nice. So I switch back. Then I wanna play Ocarina of Time on an emulator on my phone. Ooof can't do that. lol If you're willing to put up with the occasional OS kinks on Android, it's honestly worth it. You have more options for platform integration (Google, Microsoft, etc.) instead of being shoe-horned into ONLY using the Apple platform. That being said, you're also able to use those things on iPhone and STILL have access to iCloud and things. It's a very complicated debate lol.
@largon2008 did you make the switch? And I agree iPhones are very boring and money hungry things. What made me shift away from apple is the serialization of the devices, the fact that you gotta pay for iCloud Storage for photos and files, and limited customization. Might I add that you can't even freaking get at least 90 hz for the new base model iPhone 15
Love both system. Only IMHO * * * Android + flexibility and accessibility: ++ file system ++ USB C ++ quick charge ++ AOD ++ split screen ++ multitasking ++ swipe back + Google Assistant But, Android - instability: -- notification (live own life) -- freezing -- bugs (for example - spell checker works and don't works) -- support (upgrade) - apps has weaker functionality and performance * * *iPhone - conservatism: -- close ecosystem -- technologies adopts slowly (USB C, AOD, Quick Charge) -- weaker customization -- truncated multitasking - higher price But, iPhone + stability and reliability: ++ software works properly (notifications, reminders, home kit) ++ quality of hardware (speakers, display, camera) ++ long time support (updates) ++ higher quality of soft + ecosystem: ++ Phone, Watch, Pad, Laptop, PC, Headphone etc. has unity and works like one whole system ++ synchronization ++backups + accessories (whole industry) + liquidity (retain price, easy to trade) With Android you feel freedom but can't fully rely on your device. You can do more, but need more efforts and attention to set up, adjust, customize, fix, check etc. ) With iPhone you feel cramped but can rely on your device. You can do less, but, with this, need less efforts and attention. It's really just work. After some time I catch Apple's philosophy: Begin with simplicity. Do less to achieve more. First things first. For example: I shoveled tons of productivity apps (Todoist, TickTick, Any Do, Craft, Notion etc.etc.) but returned to where I've started Apple Notes and Reminders: simple, less functional, has some inconvenient, but in real life situations - when you need to do things done it's just works from scratch, without any adjustments, learning curves etc. I achieved more with this simple apps, than with tens hours of Notion tutorials )) Wish the bets for everyone )Show less
From this, we would get an impression why so many people still buy iPhones despite the "lack" of features. iPhones seems to be built for those who don't want to stress over how they would configure their phones. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who want to be in control over their devices and androids are their preference.
I tried so so hard to love ios, 2 years. I cant anymore. Maybe once I'm older and i don't enjoy tinkering and having what i want, and not what someone tells me im going to have, but im def going back to samsung later this month.
Same with me I still have my 13 pro max but I just bought a z fold 5 and I’m in love with it, I missed having the amount of freedom androids have to offer also I customized my screen and apps in such a way I was happy to do and it looks cool now
Android has the same feature as Apple iMessage. It's called the RCS message protocol. With the RCS message protocol, you can get the same features as Apple's iMessage, including typing indicators and the ability to send photos and videos over Wi-Fi and mobile data. With the upcoming iOS 18, Apple is going to adopt the RCS message protocol.
Been an Android user from the beginning and love it (team Samsung) . However, I have also been a Mac user (exclusively) since the early 90s and I would like to experience the full ecosystem. Waiting for the release of the iPhone 15, to take the plunge.
I’ve been in the opposite boat. Apple eco system for over 10 years and I’m tired of thinking it’s the best. I genuinely think anything other than apple sucks. So I’m planning to quit apple and go all in on Android/windows. I’ll make a video on it soon.
@@thesamuelnamBoth Chromebooks and Windows laptops are well-compatible with Any Android device. You can Use your Android device with any iMac/MacBook, but I don't think it's worth it.
How did you get those 4 apps on your iPhone home screen to stay towards the bottom right? That's one of the main reasons i didn't like my iPhone. The apps always go to the top.
After >10 years of Android phones (mostly Samsung) I switched to a 13PM in 2021 and I still enjoy the IOS experience. Not missing anything - no regrets.
I am thinking of switching for a variety of reasons but mostly for things like app optimization, camera, iMessage, and facetime. My frustrations stem from how divided both operating systems are but ultimately if I had to switch I want to become an iOS user. Is the switch easy? I am sort of nervous because I feel like the transition would be really difficult
that is surprising after how garbage the ios experience has become over the years, loved loved loved iOS for years up until the past cpl major updates. That and the design language starts to look incredibly outdated after seeing the same icons for the past 10 years.
Couldn't disagree more. Switched to iPhone after 12 years and just realised how delusional I was with those fancy gimmick features of android. I'd rather have consistent, reliability and speed then a full loaded gimmick android which becomes trash after 1 year
Do you store all of those photos in iCloud, or do you backup all those photos in iCloud? There is a difference and its one of my biggest issues with iCloud. If you really stored them there then you could delete them off your local device like I do with my pixel and still access them on your phone.
That is borderline unsub material if you basicly say "you stay on iOS/iMessage, because that is using the internet, while a android using MMS for mediashare"...
I literally explained in the video WHY that’s important (to me). Being able to send full resolution pictures and videos to family members is important to me. Doesn’t have anything to do with internet, etc. but MMS does have limitations which is what I was explaining.
@@TheTechMillennial are people really using MMS in the US? I think I've sent the last one 10 years ago here in Germany 😅 Regarding the full resolution sharing: it'd still be possible to share the pics and videos via Google Photos (i.e. by sharing the link via any kind of messaging app). That's more or less as "built-in" into android devices as iCloud is in iOS. Same story for passwords by the way when you're logged into your Google Account on a PC or alike.
Yeah, majority of population just uses the built in messaging app so SMS, MMS or iMessage. Nobody really uses whatsapp or anything here. And I don’t think a Google link drive is the same as just sending a picture in the message thread lol. Especially for older people like if I’m sending a video to my parents, they’re not about to mess with Google drive links, etc lol
@@TheTechMillennial I'm not talking about a drive link, but a photos link. It'll open up right in the photos app just like your local photos. We share pictures that way with our 75+ year old grand parents on a regular basis. It'll even allow them to add their own pictures to the shared albums of holiday trips or alike. That's also working on iOS btw. You may want to at least try it before claiming MMS as the android standard. Nobody in their right mind will send a 1 minute video via MMS.
@@TheTechMillennial "Doesn’t have anything to do with internet" vs your own made and edited video at 04:04. Let me ask: -if you buy an iPhone, and do not put into it any SIM or eSIM, and do not connect to wifi/internet, would you be able to send that 195 MB/s 4k video of yours to anywhere? NO! Android is the same? Yes -Would you be able to recive/send bad quality images through an iPone as well as on an android if you only have cell connection with MMS enabled, but without an internet plan? Yes - Are there multiple solutions on both platforms where you can send, share non-copressed media over mobile data-plans, or wifi, other than iMessage? Yes -Was your point fair in the video, about the capabilities of both systems in this regards? No -If everyone who matters to you is on one platform, easier to stay on that, meaning if family stays, easier for you to stay? SURE! But please, keep the technologies, and the personal preferences in a different room, and do not state "iMessage is better over the internet, because android, with MMS only, sucks..."
I disagree with the app scrolling part. Samsung app scroll varies according to your gesture as you wish. Moreover, the S23 ultra can scroll super fast compared to the monotonic scrolling speed on my m1 iPad Pro 12.9. The only reason I have to get is because of imessage and the facetime service on the iPhone. May be I won't.
I am locked in Android ecosystem because of I need to install Linux software on my rooted android. So my system is hard to re build on Iphone. Iphone build quality is crappy, Iphone iMessage sucks, Iphone camera is okay from Sony . But the gold of Iphone is the SoC, so much efficient no need big battery. If they make Iphone that run android I would buy it. I really like Apple they make few products but their profit is gold I have AAPL shares since 2016 the growth is more than gold
I switched to iPhone from Android in 2018 and switched to Android last year. But after one year, I am switching back to iPhone. Why? I surely do not know but ... I can have one iPhone for one or more years. But the last year on Android. I had 7 Android phones. I maybe kinda like the lag of choice on Apple or what. I do not know ....
For Media Sharing the only reason why the problem you have exists isn't really because of the carrier.. bc android to android it's the same as iMessage, it's literally Apple that doesn't wanna make that media sharing accessibility for all phones. Apple is the reason why we still use old school SMS/MMS. If they accepted RCS then we wouldn't have that problem. I really think the reason why you can't switch is because you keep investing into the ecosystem. Plus I feel like most of your concerns could be solved by getting a Pixel.
RCS technically still has a limit on file size (although it’s much higher at 100MB). That would definitely be a game changer though. I’m considering the Pixel Fold when it comes out 👀
For me it’s Continuity between the OS and Hardware Apple makes both and that’s important to me as they can get the most out of their hardware… its always been like that for me
Same for me. Continuity and AirDrop - copy text on iOS and paste it into Mac, Scan Document and save it directly into Mac-Folder, Send pdf from WhatsApp to iPad without Internet Connection is regularly very useful to me. That keeps me from switching to Android for good.
I love the granularity and control that Android provides. It's also very intuitive, nimble and street smart while being cheap and cheerful. The Google ecosystem is so flexible and open too. iPhone is robust, tightly integrated and just works while being a bit outdated and dumb. Hardware and OS stability, performance and security despite it being walled garden is another factor. That's why even old people use iPhones. Lastly, the tangible benefit of iPhone is app data backup which Android lacks. All being said, I will stick with and swear by Stock Android for as long as they are available and affordable. iPhone is really for happy and rich people having all the time and bliss in this world. Hey Google!
@@wojtek_sanitarnik The backup should be ecosystem based, something that Apple does best. In Android some devices may have complete native "transfer stuff from old phone to new phone" but they would only be useful if you have the phone in hand (what if phone is lost, destroyed..?). I have not tried this. On the Pixel phones, I do own one (Pixel 3), I have not seen any native backup to/restore from the cloud capability that backs up Pixel entirely including Pixel's App data (like Apple does from iCloud), nor have I seen any native phone to phone transfer utility as quoted in my first paragraph. What then remains is the generic Android options of 1) transferring from old device to new device (either wirelessly or via cable) or 2) pull from Google Account, either from a) Google cloud account, or from b) Google account device backups. Either way these Android backup restore options do not restore App data to new phone. The only App data restored if Google account device backup option is chosen (2 b above) is SMS and Call history but no other app data is restored besides sync of native Google apps data (Contacts, Calenders, Gmail..). So bottom line is that Android needs to work on App data backup and restore feature. Currently it requires extensive technical ability such as rooting your phone and use of third party apps in order to do App backup. These fragmented way of performing backups keeps Android to second place to Apple in this backup/restore capabilities.
old people that use iPhones for simplicity, use it because all they do on it what they did on Nokia 3310 :) Security on iPhone? :)))) don't make me laugh... did you see the new hackaton this year? There were multiple vulnerabilities found on iPhone 14's There were also hacks and malware on all Apple devices throughout the years. Not sure what you're smoking but for over 6-7 years, there are just as many malware and security issues as on android or windows etc. In the past there were less security issues, because there were less people using apple devices so hackers didn't really care.
Do you know why android doesn't have data backups, it's not that it can't do it, but it's actually a privacy issue, unlike apple, we don't brag about privacy we offer it by example. In order to have your data restored across devices that means that it sits somewhere, you can trust it's encrypted, but unless you use your own gpg key, it's most likely still readable from the person that encrypted it for it, so yeah...a tit for tat the next time you decide to take a photo of your child, or save some important document, big brother is watching. While us pleb poor android users, we just buy from the store, flash it just in case, and live a happy life. (not saying some android phones don't do it as well) It's just that we have the option to fix it, while you don't, and you pay for it.
Like he said at the star: get a phone that works for you. There's no need to try to convince people the phone or OS that YOU like is better, is better for YOU. At the end of the day there is a reason why in the top 10 sold smartphones in the world on 2 Samsung phone are on the list and they are not flagship and are number 5 and 9, all the other phones are iPhone. Do you ever wonder why? Simplicity.
I already have a problem with this video. I’m only a few minutes in. The creator is saying that he likes iPhones primarily because of iMessage, because it sends videos and pictures at full resolution because the carriers limit the size on androids. The only way the carriers can limit the size of it is if you are trying to send a picture via SMS. However, if you are using Google messages and you sent to another person that has Google messages which uses RCS then you will get full resolution pictures and videos. Also, if you send me any videos or pictures any other way Like Facebook messenger or WhatsApp, then they will also be sent at full resolution
I’m replying to myself now lol. I was wrong in my above comment. One example I’m going to use his Facebook messenger. Facebook messenger allows iPhones to send videos at full resolution or nearly full resolution, but for some reason limits the resolution on videos that androids send. I really don’t understand this discrimination toward android. It needs to stop, they are holding back the platform. I realize this is also up to Google and manufacturers to start working more closely together. I say should not allow manufacturers to use their operating system if the device is not up to certain specs, and cannot run the most current version of android.
I would never switch back to iPhone after my experience with Google's Pixel 8. I don't even watch apple product videos anymore, and I feel clean and free from drugs.
S-Beam be like, it's only been 21 years, give them some time to figure it out. Also, it's all about privacy when you realize that apple keeps a copy online of every single file that you have on the device so i can deliver it in 4k to any other iphone user.
I'm waiting on the iphone 15 pro max. I've been team android for years and have never owned an iPhone but I'm wanting something different and easier to use
Well S24 has expendable RAM and expandable storage. It is well known that SD cards are not reliable. The expendable RAM shows that the OS utilizes too much RAM. In order for the battery to last longer they put in a bigger battery, shows how inefficient the OS is when it comes to battery. All the reasons pointed out in the video are superficial and just gimmicks.
I have switched recently from android to iPhone. I had a phone which I consider to be one of the most beautiful phones ever. The OnePlus 7Pro. It had an Infinity Screen, which I still hugely enjoy, it really does make a difference. It had a wonderful user interface, I especially enjoy the shelf option with their note app integration and androids gesture controls, which makes using the phone just so much more intuitive. It had barely any bloat ware. But still I switched. Why? I’m not a particularly huge fan of Samsung and their bloat ware. I don’t enjoy Samsungs controls, at least not when I’m trying it out. And I have actually experienced the times where their updates where just terrible and late, and although currently they seem to have gotten a lot better, I still don’t trust them. And yeah, OnePlus has gotten waaaay worse. I had a OnePlus 3T before that and the Updates where just fantastic. What got increasingly worse was the hard ware. My OnePlus 7Pro still has both cameras working perfectly, but it’s USB-C port got bent in the end and the Updates just got… worse and worse. I had a bug for 5 months where my phone couldn’t download anything on WhatsApp. Even though my specs where fantastic on paper and where barely fully used, my phone crashed ALL THE TIME. Granted, I’m a power user and I screenshot and write down a lot. But that’s why I invested in those specs. And I’m still pretty certain, that the problem was in their badly optimised updates. Especially the experience with the WhatsApp Bug made me afraid to update my phone. Updates took really long, with their Android 11 update only arriving in September 2022 with a new UI (Color OS replaced Oxygen OS), that not really a lot of older OnePlus users seemed to enjoy. To cut it short: I don’t want that kind of unreliability anymore. I’m willing to pay a bit more for my phone to last me longer than just 2 years in which it runs with barely any problems and then just getting increasingly more unusable. Here are the things I’m enjoying so far after my switch: -even though I don’t like the punchhole, Dynamic Island is really useful. I love it. -I love the camera quality -I love integrated apps like health, which allow me to track my daily steps and my cycle without needing to download anything -I love sleep mode and being able to create other modes. Could I just download an app on Android and get the exact same thing? Sure. But with it being as integrated as it is on iOS, it actually encourages me to use it -I love the control Center being separate from notifications - I get much less stressed by them now -Apple keychain is much better at recognising where I need it’s help than my Android password-manager -Airdrop. Need I say more? (I realise Samsung offers something similar now) -the silent-switch. I had something similar on my OnePlus and I couldn’t live without it now. Not many phones offer this now -the close integration with my MacBook -the good app optimisation -it’s customisation is very pretty (even though there are very few) -the Reader: I get annoyed by all those cookie banners and pop ups -the clock app. It doesn’t encourage me to clutter everything with a hundred versions of the same alarm -the note app itself is rather refined. It turned into a tiny texteditor, which I really enjoy -MagSafe is a game changer. I love inductive charging and the magnet is really useful -AirTags. I have a much easier time finding my wallet now in the morning rush and I feel a bit more protected from theft -I didn’t really anticipate liking Face-ID as much as I do. It’s so convenient -Apples emergency functionality. I could create a card which includes my blood type, diagnosis, allergies etc. which gets activated in case of emergency. This is very useful and makes me feel more safe in case of emergency -I haven’t used my always on display on android previously, it just felt wasteful. On Apple, it barely uses up my battery while looking pretty and telling me everything I need to know Things I have struggled with -gesture control only at select places. I don’t want to always find an X to get back -in game ads have very tiny and well hidden x-signs now. It’s very annoying. -some websites just have big pop up banners that safari doesn’t seem to be able to block which I would easily have been able to remove with gesture control (just going back) on android. I haven’t found a way to get rid of them on iOS yet -most things are a bit more expensive on iOS -Apple keyboard. It just doesn’t feel as responsive and quick as G-board. It’s autocorrect isn’t as good. Will I continue to use the Apple keyboard? Yes. I chose Apple because I want less surveillance by Google -I don’t like the punch-hole, I wouldn’t have liked a notch either. I miss my infinity screen -Apple doesn’t allow me to buy e-books on Amazon - I miss LDAC. It’s just been a tiny change in quality but still, I noticed it. I would love for Apple to offer more transmission standards for Bluetooth. Having said that, I have to mention that my connection is a lot more stable now and I don’t get these annoying „dings“ every few minutes I got on my OnePlus -QR-Code capabilities. Does Apple integrate a QR-Reader into their control Center? Sure. But Android did so much more. I could easily generate QR-Codes out of contacts (especially my contact information) and this made sharing my number very easy (I’m aware WhatsApp offers this on iOS as well, but it’s just not the same - I used to be able to use my contact app for this). Also, I used to be able to share Wifi-Passwords via QR-Code on my old phone. I still haven’t found this on iOS So yes, overall, my experience has been positive. All I hope for is that this phone will work well for a lot longer than my OnePlus. If Pixels get better and continuously good updates, and Google respects data privacy a bit more, I might switch to a Pixel-Phone in 4 to 5 years. Or six, depending on how long this iPhone will last me.
I've been enjoying Samsung and choosing it over iPhone for the past decade but in the past year, media sharing on Android has begun affecting my professional work. I've also moved home and all of my family and friends are on iPhone. I used to sneer at the peer pressure but for the first time I'm actually feeling inferior on my android... I also went from a flagship Samsung to the FE and a lot of apps I use on a daily basis are buggy and I'm tired of it. I recently switched back to Mac, and I've been enjoying my iPad pro since 2018. Though it feels like I'm joining a cult, I'm ready to embrace the ecosystem (never thought I'd say it kinda makes me feel queasy 😂) I've been patiently waiting for type c and other features to finally come through on the iPhone and the time is here. Haven't had a iPhone since 5th gen, now I'll be switching back for iPhone 15.
@@lucaswild i’ve been very happy with the iPhone 15 Pro Max! It is very heavy compared to even my largest Samsung, but it’s a compromise for the beautiful quality and performance. I do feel that the 5X zoom is a bit of a gimmick. I’m a photographer and I love using my phone on the fly, but I find that in many real world applications where I would rather use my phone over my camera, the 5X zoom is a little too close, and I find myself, wishing that I could use the 2X without it being a digital crop. Besides that, the quality has been great for my work in social media. What’s most important is the video quality since that is the preferred format and that has been leaps and bounds beyond any, android that I have previously owned. There have been some software glitches, but nothing as bad as what I experienced on android. As for the ecosystem, I’m really loving the functionality between my devices. It’s made me much more productive. I do feel the capitalist scheme working on me though lol. I was perfectly happy to stay with my Samsung watch. I prefer the look of them quite a bit to the Apple Watch, however, since I’ve gotten into using things like Apple health and having watched the release trailer for the new Apple Watch I feel, a sudden desire. The only thing I won’t break on is the AirPods. After looking into them for my boyfriend‘s birthday and going through all the specs, I realized that even a Samsung buds model from years ago, outperforms the standard AirPods, and I simply refuse to pay all that money for the AirPods Pro, when people say that the quality is mediocre and I can get the same benefits out of my Samsung buds that I already own. There are some minor things that I miss about the android experience, but I expected this, and it’s nowhere near as bad as I feared it would be. I find that iOS and One UI have become quit similar experiences these days, with the only major differentiation being the ecosystem.
I wish Apple used their UX research to make iOS as intuitive to navigate around as Android. If they fixed this and also added features that should've been common sense by now that are present on Androids, then WAAAAY more people would use them. Apple's hardware and build quality is already peak, all they need to do is implement this stuff and a lot more Android users would be converted.
Went back to iPhone after all these years and I forgot all of what I was missing. Overall GUI design is much more sleek and appealing to the eye, animations are smooth, performance is consistent, no lags or stutters, camera takes shots quicker, music on lock screen isn't laggy and easier to use, apple carplay launches immediately unlike android auto. These are just a few. I don't think I can go back to android now.
excellent video my friend, i just ordered the Pixel 9 pro because I really wanted it but you are exactly right… I need to be able to send videos via apple messages. that's the deal breaker. cheers
This video is brilliant. Finally a video that explains the fluidity and smoothness of iOS! 6:01 I have been looking for years for this :) I've switched to Android a lot over the years (HTC, Samsung, OnePlus,...) but in the end I always returned to iPhone. And the main reason was/is the unmatched fluidity of the operating system. Android simply can't match it, not even the "flagship" phones. This is ignored by 99% of reviewers on YT.
I can’t say that of my OnePlus 7 Pro - which I’ve been using since 2019 - it almost never lagged… but my iPad Pro 2017 did (I also made a video of it to prove it)… still I’ve already ordered the iPhone 15 Pro Max with 512GB last week and will try out, if I can adapt to iOS for the first time as my private phone… the main reason is that the battery is only good for around 4-5,5 hours of SOT after 4 years of use… otherwise I wouldn’t change to any other phone… and Samsung is really, really bad with its Android surface and the Bloatware they’re shoving down your throat…
GREAT video! I'm reluctantly leaving my Note 20 Ultra primarily because of all friends and family having iphone so iMessage is the biggest draw. Losing expandable memory card and amazing camera and zoom is unfortunate.
@@NoteXLTE yeah that's what I use but it sucks, I transferred less then 1k but took 2 hours, and every USB c to c cable I used didn't work, every single one
I switched to an iPhone (XR) after a decade w/ Android (mainly LG) and my main takeaway: it’s just a phone. You have a preference, cool! I find it so bizarre that there’s still an Apple v. Android war (as I said, it’s just a phone) and you’re getting crap just for going back to another phone, TM. Everyone just chill. You wanna unsubscribe, cool. Free will, just don’t announce it like we care. TM is gonna do just fine. Good video, bro!
Completely agree, it’s all about preference! I literally said in the beginning of the video that this video wasn’t about which phone is “better” but people still want to argue lol. Thanks for the support! ✊🏽
Come to think about it, the average consumer doesn’t care about iMessage and higher quality apps. They care about how the phone feels. Think about it: Most Android users who try an iPhone for the first time will probably instantly like iOS because of how iOS feels better than Android. This is how Apple convinces you to give iOS a try for like a week or something. Then they get you with the ecosystem. I love iOS.
@@lb659 So you're saying iOS is worse because of one stupid issue? Android users only hate iOS because they are stuck in their own biases and are not used to iOS. iPhones have a much more accurate touchscreen display, and their software feels premium. iOS feels more fluid than Android. All the reasons you described are just minor annoyances that anyone can get used to. I'm sure iPhone users feel the same way about Android. I have many friends that have switched to iPhone and do not regret it. I do not know anyone who has switched from iPhone to Android.
How does iPhone has good build quality? The back is glass. You drop it. It will break. I had an iPhone and the battery expanded causing the screen to come off.
1. Good as in materials: aluminium, stainless steel, titanium 2. You either overheat the battery, charged it with cheap Chinese charger, or it was a bad replacement, or you left it in the heat, anything could happen
I paused the video at exactly 1 minute, because i just had to say this: This was the cleanest b-roll/intro I’ve ever seen, good job man!
Thank you!! ✊🏽

Currently whatsapp is compressing the images/videos drastically. But in the near future whatsapp shoudl get uncompressed photo and video share
@@sbdpro2 yeah but its fine for a quick share of videos etc
I agree with what you're saying. Build quality was my last point for a reason because there are some really good flagship androids out there. Also I did point out in my video that iMessage is a problem only here in the US because of the huge market share here. Nobody really uses other messaging apps 😕
I didn’t know Whatsapp compresses pics/videos. I guess my point still stands :) if I didn’t share a lot of pictures with family then it wouldn’t be a big deal.
Only boomers care about iMessage. Messaging is free now but Mobile data is limited. Also if you want privacy you would use SMS or iMessage anyhow.
That's cute. I have 45 reasons why iOS is 10 years behind Android in features, usability and utility:
31. No quick disable auto brightness
36. if an app is malfunctioning, you will have to uninstall and reinstall, while on Android you could just clear cache/data
37. No option to use navigation buttons
38. if an app crashes, it will just close or freeze abruptly with no notification whatsoever, while on Android it will give you a notification that the app has stopped working and give you options to force close or to wait.
39. No Clipboard feature
40. Totally unintuitive way to change app settings. Most apps settings can't be accessed directly from the app, you have to leave the app, open phone settings, look for the app, then locate the app settings. The same goes for the camera app, no menu inside the camera app. Also no pro mode for the camera.
41. No pin to screen feature
42. Photo management is terrible, for example, Whatsapp photos get saved in the camera roll. Wtf?
43. Still no easy native way to add custom ringtones. Laughable.
44. No scrolling screeshots
45. No option to change animation speed, which decreases speed, or at the very least, decreases the perceptibility of speed.
Of course there are a lot of other small things and details that I don't recall right now or don't know, but I won't extend further. It's over for applefags.
Damn mate I can totally agree.
You've just totally put me off moving to an iPhone from my Fold 5 😂
I was about to switch to the iPhone 15 pro max, from an S22 Ultra, just for a change. Not gonna do it anymore.

Real talk. Exactly what I go through everytime I want to leave !
Why you spreading lies?

Long time Android use here who has been using the iPhone 13 for 6 months. The ui is inconsistent. Navigation within the system and apps is easier with Android navigation gestures.

You are right!
Also I like to tinker a lot with my home screen setups mostly every week .

This is my experience. First iOS device was a 12 - which I still have because
1. my kid's schools force them into iPads from Grade 4 all the way to Year 9.
2. because we use the apple family safety features - my wife and I both gave up our S series Galaxy's for an 11 for my wife and a 12 for me
3. My prev Gen 1 series only has apple car play - no android auto unless I spend a lot of cash on an adaptor that will force iDrive to work with Android Auto - or I get a new car
@@SamoelFilho yeah - the Tensor 3 is disappointing and I've heard the battery life on the 8 is not great.
Why?

Your first point about videos and images being low res in Android and needing some special data channel just shows you're ignorant.

Okay. You prefer a back button rather to quickly slide from the side. Like dude...
Just preference. I like how the iPhone you can slide back the layer, it feels more natural.

What made me shift away from apple is the serialization of the devices, the fact that you gotta pay for iCloud Storage for photos and files, and limited customization. Might I add that you can't even freaking get at least 90 hz for the new base model iPhone 15

With Android you feel freedom but can't fully rely on your device. You can do more, but need more efforts and attention to set up, adjust, customize, fix, check etc. )
With iPhone you feel cramped but can rely on your device.
I achieved more with this simple apps, than with tens hours of Notion tutorials ))
Wish the bets for everyone )Show less
From this, we would get an impression why so many people still buy iPhones despite the "lack" of features. iPhones seems to be built for those who don't want to stress over how they would configure their phones. On the other hand, there are a lot of people who want to be in control over their devices and androids are their preference.
I tried so so hard to love ios, 2 years. I cant anymore. Maybe once I'm older and i don't enjoy tinkering and having what i want, and not what someone tells me im going to have, but im def going back to samsung later this month.
Same feelings dear friend.
At these days Android just works
Same with me I still have my 13 pro max but I just bought a z fold 5 and I’m in love with it, I missed having the amount of freedom androids have to offer also I customized my screen and apps in such a way I was happy to do and it looks cool now
Android has the same feature as Apple iMessage. It's called the RCS message protocol. With the RCS message protocol, you can get the same features as Apple's iMessage, including typing indicators and the ability to send photos and videos over Wi-Fi and mobile data. With the upcoming iOS 18, Apple is going to adopt the RCS message protocol.
Always very nice edits on your vids.

I’m in the same predicament!! Finally someone on the same page!
I just brought iphone 15 pro max from s20 ultra had enough of it and my last iPhone was iphone 6
About sharing media. What prevents you from sending a link to Google Photos or any online drive where you keep it? Or just using another messenger?
Let me ask:
-if you buy an iPhone, and do not put into it any SIM or eSIM, and do not connect to wifi/internet, would you be able to send that 195 MB/s 4k video of yours to anywhere? NO! Android is the same? Yes
-Would you be able to recive/send bad quality images through an iPone as well as on an android if you only have cell connection with MMS enabled, but without an internet plan? Yes
- Are there multiple solutions on both platforms where you can send, share non-copressed media over mobile data-plans, or wifi, other than iMessage? Yes
-Was your point fair in the video, about the capabilities of both systems in this regards? No
-If everyone who matters to you is on one platform, easier to stay on that, meaning if family stays, easier for you to stay?

I’m considering the Pixel Fold when it comes out 👀
Agreed. Really hope apple gets on RCS soon. Why can't carriers just block sms for iphones and make them switch to RCS?
@@TheTechMillennial iMessage has the same 100MB file size limit as well now
For me it’s Continuity between the OS and Hardware Apple makes both and that’s important to me as they can get the most out of their hardware… its always been like that for me
Apart from The Worst Keyboard In The World And Lack Of Customization Options for Ringtone And alarms
Hey Google!
Google Pixel has a full phone backups
These fragmented way of performing backups keeps Android to second place to Apple in this backup/restore capabilities.
old people that use iPhones for simplicity, use it because all they do on it what they did on Nokia 3310 :)
Security on iPhone? :)))) don't make me laugh... did you see the new hackaton this year? There were multiple vulnerabilities found on iPhone 14's
There were also hacks and malware on all Apple devices throughout the years.

True but apple doesn't support RCS and if everyone around u have iPhone its hard to have android cauz u get left out of group chats and stuff
I say should not allow manufacturers to use their operating system if the device is not up to certain specs, and cannot run the most current version of android.
i didnt feel that the iphone was optimized when i switched.. It's so limited...
I would never switch back to iPhone after my experience with Google's Pixel 8. I don't even watch apple product videos anymore, and I feel clean and free from drugs.
😆 the last line made me laugh out loud. Considering going back to android as we speak after 3 years
No one really gives you a F honestly
Here are the things I’m enjoying so far after my switch:
-even though I don’t like the punchhole, Dynamic Island is really useful. I love it.
-I love the camera quality
-I love integrated apps like health, which allow me to track my daily steps and my cycle without needing to download anything
-I love sleep mode and being able to create other modes. Could I just download an app on Android and get the exact same thing? Sure. But with it being as integrated as it is on iOS, it actually encourages me to use it
-I love the control Center being separate from notifications - I get much less stressed by them now
-Apple keychain is much better at recognising where I need it’s help than my Android password-manager
-Airdrop. Need I say more? (I realise Samsung offers something similar now)
-the silent-switch. I had something similar on my OnePlus and I couldn’t live without it now. Not many phones offer this now
-the close integration with my MacBook
-the good app optimisation
-it’s customisation is very pretty (even though there are very few)
-the Reader: I get annoyed by all those cookie banners and pop ups
-the clock app. It doesn’t encourage me to clutter everything with a hundred versions of the same alarm
-the note app itself is rather refined. It turned into a tiny texteditor, which I really enjoy
-MagSafe is a game changer. I love inductive charging and the magnet is really useful
-AirTags. I have a much easier time finding my wallet now in the morning rush and I feel a bit more protected from theft
-I didn’t really anticipate liking Face-ID as much as I do. It’s so convenient
-Apples emergency functionality. I could create a card which includes my blood type, diagnosis, allergies etc. which gets activated in case of emergency. This is very useful and makes me feel more safe in case of emergency
-I haven’t used my always on display on android previously, it just felt wasteful. On Apple, it barely uses up my battery while looking pretty and telling me everything I need to know
Things I have struggled with
-gesture control only at select places. I don’t want to always find an X to get back
-in game ads have very tiny and well hidden x-signs now. It’s very annoying.
-some websites just have big pop up banners that safari doesn’t seem to be able to block which I would easily have been able to remove with gesture control (just going back) on android. I haven’t found a way to get rid of them on iOS yet
-most things are a bit more expensive on iOS
-Apple keyboard. It just doesn’t feel as responsive and quick as G-board. It’s autocorrect isn’t as good. Will I continue to use the Apple keyboard? Yes. I chose Apple because I want less surveillance by Google
-I don’t like the punch-hole, I wouldn’t have liked a notch either. I miss my infinity screen
-Apple doesn’t allow me to buy e-books on Amazon
- I miss LDAC. It’s just been a tiny change in quality but still, I noticed it. I would love for Apple to offer more transmission standards for Bluetooth. Having said that, I have to mention that my connection is a lot more stable now and I don’t get these annoying „dings“ every few minutes I got on my OnePlus
-QR-Code capabilities. I still haven’t found this on iOS
So yes, overall, my experience has been positive. All I hope for is that this phone will work well for a lot longer than my OnePlus.
If Pixels get better and continuously good updates, and Google respects data privacy a bit more, I might switch to a Pixel-Phone in 4 to 5 years. Or six, depending on how long this iPhone will last me.
No one is reading that.

Though it feels like I'm joining a cult, I'm ready to embrace the ecosystem (never thought I'd say it kinda makes me feel queasy 😂)
I've been patiently waiting for type c and other features to finally come through on the iPhone and the time is here. Haven't had a iPhone since 5th gen, now I'll be switching back for iPhone 15.
Tell your experience here!

Facetime & iMessage doesn't work on all phone. So I don't see how that is an advantage.
GREAT video! I'm reluctantly leaving my Note 20 Ultra primarily because of all friends and family having iphone so iMessage is the biggest draw. Losing expandable memory card and amazing camera and zoom is unfortunate.

Where can I get that wallpaper on the android phone?
12:00 And how did you order the apps like that on iPhone!?
He is probably using the iOS 18 Beta.
How does iPhone has good build quality? The back is glass. You drop it. It will break. I had an iPhone and the battery expanded causing the screen to come off.
Which iPhone did you have?
1. Good as in materials: aluminium, stainless steel, titanium
2. You either overheat the battery, charged it with cheap Chinese charger, or it was a bad replacement, or you left it in the heat, anything could happen
Quick share took care of that it's build in samsung
