The thing with Android (as a long time Galaxy user, but off and on iPhone), is it just feels unfinished. Apple is smooth, everything works, from the Reactions/Touch in iMessage, having the ability to FaceTime, Airdrop, FaceId/Password memorization, Apple Wallet, the ability use Magsafe mounts/accessories, it's really hard to pass up. While I love the look of Androids and the customization, nothing beats an iPhone, it just works. Haven't used an Android since maybe 2020 and don't really miss it at all. iPhone's also resell very good.
I finally get what everyone means when they say it just works. I loved the customization with Android, but my experience with iPhone is exactly as you described.
Same boat friend. I too just switched from Samsung to iPhone. The main reason I didn't go for iPhone earlier was Apple using a proprietary charger turned me off. Now Apple is using USB C, I bite the bullet and got the iPhone 16 Pro. I'm finding it more responsive, easier to use than my previous Samsung.
Moved to iPhone recently, first time to 13 due to cheaper than latest iPhones. Do miss usb c but it’s fine. Transition using the app was a breeze, I didn’t move what’s app only due to hearing can slow the transition…using the iPhone for a few weeks now and it’s going fine, pain free. See how it goes for a while and take from there.
tell me how you pair with smartwatch with android and iphone? and can you tell how you transfer all data from androit to iphone? im stil think to buy new one phone but dont know who
I never thought i would switch away from android but in 2021 I did it cause the m series MacBooks were so good I’ve only kept my main sim in iPhones since
Welcome to iPhone. You definitely chose quite the time to switch over with iOS 18 being such a major release, and therefore sadly a bit of a buggier one as a result. My first iPhone was the 3G and over the years I had several iPhones and several androids. The past 4 years I was on android but just a week ago I switched back to iPhone. Got myself a new 13 also in white and I love it. I’m staying on iOS 17 for a while until 18 is fully backed. As a former IT Tech you learn to never use any software in production that’s not fully ready yet. Especially critical systems. But give it another 6 months and the kinks should be worked out. iOS is very different from android but once you get used to it you’ll be happy. And if you have a Mac and get a Watch, you’ll have a really great ecosystem. Not to mention services like Music, TV, Arcade etc. enjoy! 😊
Thanks! I've never shied away from being on the cutting edge -- so bugs don't bother me all that much. 🐛 Really happy with the switch so far! P.S. I already got the Apple Watch 10. I'll get the MacBook Pro eventually, but I have some work to do with cleaning up and consolidating my Windows / Google services first.
For the short time I had an iphone (hated the experience) hearing "you'll get used to it" drove me crazy. I don't want to "get used to it". Back on Android, never again apple!!!
Awesome! Let me know your thoughts when it comes in. There's an adjustment with some things, but I'm enjoying it so far. Lots of small (but great) features I had no idea about.
You couldnt have started out with the Droid Incredible in 2008 since that device was released in 2010. You started using Android in 2010 if your 1st device was the Droid Incredible. I started with Android in 2009 and my 1st device was the HTC Mytouch 3g in merlot. That phone infuriated me.
Android user from day one, recently tried an iphone on the recommendation of friends and family. Worst experience ever, from the transfer of my info from my old phone (not only did it transfer everything from my old phone, but also the salesman's phone and someone else's phone nearby (apple security????)), to the ios user interface (keyboard, setting (WTF, why in a separate app for basic setting, like camera settings). Installed Google app for my search engine and deleted Safari since I had no plans on using it, or trying to figure it out. The phone stopped working (who knew the search engine was actually part of the OS. Thank you apple for their generous return policy. Safely back on Android, never again apple!

It’s good you’re switching!

same here dude my galaxy s23 ultra battery blew up one me i'm sticking with the 16 Pro Max
Why do you all buy the worst performing Android phone and then blame Android on a whole? Samsung's UI is still just TouchWiz if you ask me.
Very interesting! Looking forward to your full review!
Broooo! I switched to apple last month for the first time too. You would enjoy the smoothness and fast apps functioning
You got that right! 🤘

I noticed that after uploading, and was waiting to be called out on that. 😆 The Incredible was my first Android phone, but I was off on the year.

That sounds like it was a nightmare. Sorry you had such a rough experience. Glad you were able to get it sorted and get your $$$ back.
