- I am an everyday apple user and switched to the Galaxy S24 Ultra. I use a Macbook everyday for clinical work and the channel, my IPad Pro got me all the way through graduate school, and the IPhone 15 Pro Max lets me connect with friends and family in fun ways. Using the Galaxy s24 Ultra 45 days later, its apparent that it's not even really close which is the better device on a day to day basis, and today I break down my user experience for you guys so you can make an informed decision.

Exactly, you pay money for tech to have a solution for almost everything. Thats why s24 ultra is king
I want to say YES!
But it really depends. Not everyone buys Tech for that reason, BUT
For the amount of money IPhones cost, you should get those bang features that assist every day living
I think there's a benefit and polish that Apple is afforded because they keep options fewer and don't throw a million things at the wall to see what sticks. There's upsides to how each one does it. That being said, apple has been a little too restrictive. They just have to lighten up their control like 15%. I would never want ios to lose its polish. I'm typing this from my s22 ultra that I still really enjoy to this day. Can't wait for the 16 pro max. Probably gonna make the switch. It's pretty much back and forth each upgrade, but as I get older I'm starting to think I might just settle in with iphone. Especially since the new lawsuits and stuff are finally forcing them to make some consumer friendly changes and additions to their phones.
@@hobosnake1I agree with you 100% I choose polishness, stability, simplicity over customisation. I just can’t imagine having the S24U long term after the excitement fades away. I believe once the iPhone becomes more customisable it will be more exciting and enjoyable for me.

Go on try one hand operation plus app and micro gesture app and with swipe gestures instead of iphone navingation gestures or digital navigation buttons

When having a Samsung phone, Samsung tablet, laptop,samsung smartwatch, samsung buds, Samsung tv, Samsung smart washing machine,dishwasher and fridge etc, Then you'll understand the true meaning of ecosystem and integration.

I was an Iphone user from Iphone 1-7 and then switched to pixel 6Pro. Now I'm an S24 Ultra user and i will never go back. This is almost a perfect phone, the only thing that I miss on my Pixel is the camera.
Both are absolutely great phones and the IPhone does what it can do very well! Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is

Same here. Had iphone 3, 4, 5, 6... Then Samsung S8 Plus, Note 10, Folder 3, Flip 5, nor S24U. No way to come back to Apple like they are now...
The camera on the s24u is pretty bad ngl. I dont know why the reviewers dont really take pictures in public or moving objects.

I have Samsung S23 Ultra, Tablet S6, laptop Book 3 Ultra and 65 inch TV. Quick share and Smart view functions work seamlessly on all devices. Quick share is as good as airdrop if not better! And I love to connect my S23 Ultra to my 65 in TV via DEX. Love the Samsung ecosystem!

I sort of fell into the eco system. I owned samsung phones for years now after a long term iphone ownership. I ended up not intentionally buying some samsung TVs and the integration plus the routines you can do to automate your phone and your house is fantastic. It's so seamless and dex has allowed me to keep my PC plugged into my 65" TV which is much better than any monitor I own in everyday for gaming. Dex I use at my normal work desk for my casual PC use and of course I use it for my work laptop for my coding work.
Tempted to get a tablet coming from a Fold 3 which I enjoyed reading in extensively. Is it worth it? Or is there too much overlap with an S2X Ultra?

🌌 went from i14PM to S24U and I'm so glad I left the Apple bubble. The screen is absolutely class-leading, I do not miss the stupid notch. I love the S-pen, I have no negatives about the S24U and I'll use it daily for the next 2-3 years without hesitation.

I just got the Samsung s24 and as of now I’m not impress. I still like the iPhone. To me it’s not as user friendly as the iPhone. But I only have a couple of days.
Why isn't it as user friendly? You can almost configure the android like an iPhone. It offers way more features imo.

How would you not mention the anti-glare screen on the s24 Ultra??? It's such a game changer and every flagship phone moving forward should adopt this feature.

Switched from iPhone to Z Fold 5. Now that Android has Ai features, the gap is ridiculous! At this point, the only thing I will buy from Apple are their laptops.

Well said. U mentioned pretty much all the reasons why I love android n samsung. I got the s24 ultra n love it. I upgraded from the fold 4, which I loved too, but unfortunately, the hinge didn't turn out too good. Keep up the good work man.
Longtime android user..going back all the way to the HTC Dream/G1. Ive had most of the galaxy devcies since the s3/note 2 as as well google phones going back to the galaxy nexus. I tried an iphone 14 pro max when it dropped for work and lasted about a year. Too many mission features for my liking. Rocking a pixel 7 pro intead of it and go back and forth between the s24 ultra and fold 5 for my personal devices

Rockin' the S23 Ultra and 14 Pro. Both do a great job so no need to upgrade, especially after the One UI 6.1 update to the S23U. Oh, and to add, which I am using more than the S23 Ultra, is my Pixel 7 Pro 😊. Nice content as always!

Hey, I'm pretty much like you. Tech enthusiast and IT Professional who appreciates many devices. I own S24U, Fold 5 and iPhone 15 Pro (mostly for family stuff) but there are simply to many things I can do with my S24U that can't be done on the iPhone. Galaxy AI is game changer. I can't wait to see what they add to it over time.
I'm torn between S24U and iPhone 15 Pro Max. As a long time S22U user doing videos and photography, I also wanted to try the iPhone but my concern is the transfer of files from iPhone to a Windows computer.

The 15PM does a TON of what it does do very well! But every day things that I'd like for a phone to do, the 24U just always seems to have an answer and I love it for that
I'm with you. I switched to iPhone 14 pro max for three months and was a bad experience starting with the back gesture. iPhone do not have the exact feature.
I also hate the iPhone keyboard because you need to change langague to write different languages. In Android there are many keyboards (Gboard and Swiftkey are the kings) that you can write in multiple languages without change the language everytime you want to use it.
The Apple in apps settings and menus are not intuitive. The settings on Android apps are in the same app. But in Apple you need to go to the phone menu settings etc.
Now, the gap between IOS and Android is close and for me Samsung is the best smartphone. Thanks for the video

How do these cycles work? A quick search returns tons of tech youtubers "giving up their iphone", repeatedly, every phone release cycle. Do they use an iphone alternative for a few weeks and then go back to the iphone only to switch again with another alternative is released?

Great video. I agree with you completely. I've had almost every iPhone since the beginning, and same with the Pixel, but here and there I have tried the Notes and Ultras. However, this time around, the S24 Ultra has just done it. It's just become the go to in every situation for me and I won't be without it going forward now that I see what it can do in my life.

I tried the iPhone, but it didn't convince me, I have an S24 ultra right now, and it's just amazing, I consider that for me and my needs it's perfect, it's a very complex and complete smartphone, it's very fast, great camera's, the One UI it's better with each update, Knox security, it's super, I love it!
Great video. Questions. What messaging app do you use and do you use Samsung Gallery app? Are you able to get Samsung Gallery app and Google photos to sync together?
Google messages is the only rcs app. Newer Samsung phones don't come with Samsung messages. WhatsApp works of course. Also, Samsung photos sync to one drive, which is worse if you use it. However, actually using Google photos is terrible. Ads for better photo editing and misleading messages for backup. The first time you open it, a nonclosable suggestion to "not backup", or "backup". This isn't so bad, but as soon as you take the reasonable choice of backing it up, nearly everybody will exceed 15gb of photos and videos. Before you exceed it, it tells you to "free up storage", which is just downloading a copy from Google when you open a photo, and deleting them from your phone. It's very misleading, however it gets worse. You pay 10$ a month or whatever it is for 100gb cloud, fine. You want to stop? You have to find "Google takeout", which is buried on Google and hard to find. Then you have to download your entire photo and video library in 5-20 zips, then uncompress them. Metadata except data taken is eraced, and on a s21 1gbit internet, this took an entire day. The worst part is actually being able to use Gmail, Google suite, which you pretty much have to. They block everything until you go under that 15gb mark. There is no easier way than clicking every day there's a photo taken on a laggy desktop enter face, for about an hour. It's so bad, there's a script to do it on github. If you finally do it, Google photos will still pester you to backup. Google photos is terrible. Use something else.

The last iPhone I used as a daily driver was the iPhone 4. Been on Samsung ever since. Similar to you, I'm Samsung all the way for daily drivers and appreciate the optionality-ism. I do enjoy apple for tablets

Great video as always. I have carried both samsung and iphone and a few others android and black berry based devices for the past 12 years side by side. I currently have an 24u, gw6 classic, buds pro 2, tab s9u, iphone 15pm, watch ultra 2, airpods pro 2 and Mac mini (sold ipad pro 12inch). I have to say the both have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer to daily drive my samsung because I can literally set up my phone the way I want it and nothing beats that in my personal use. I don't trap myself in any ecosystem. I use Google drive and photos and now one drive for cloud based storage if needed. I have my apple stuff saved in both icloud and Google. If I were to give up one device it would be the iphone. It's not a bad device by any means but I love samsung one ui and the ease of use features. I do however prefer video on the iphone. Maybe once ios 18 comes the "new" features may change that. But currently ios is lacking, t9 dial, universal back gesture, arbitrary app placement, no close all apps button, no silent toggle (only vibrate unless you go into settings and select it). No ability to add apps directly to folders without the drop and drag hassel.I find that I have to do 10 more steps in ios than one ui. Still no pause video in ios recording. But I do still have a love for it in many ways esp when using it with other apple products and users. Both are great.
I love my S24Ultra. 256gb12gbRamTitaniumViolet. Awesome phone. Spend the extra cash, and get the Galaxy.

Thanks for a great vid. Would love to hear your thoughts on the google wallet vs the apple wallet. I really want to move from Apple but could not do without a great wallet. Will I be dissapointed with the google wallet?
I use Apple Pay and Google Pay. Love them both but I think Apple pay works just a little bit smoother and setup is easier too. That said, Google Wallet is still pretty decent.

Dave I must tell you I got a new tablet couple days ago it's the S6 Lite (2022) version. It has 64GB of internal storage with 4Gigs of Ram, along with a Qualcomm chip to make it snappy. So far I like it. The purpose of me buying it is that I needed for school in a quick pinch. I can use the S Pen, do Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNotes. Also I'm using this for entertainment purpose too. You can say this is a balance. I haven't tested its full capabilities yet, but I will sometime today and tomorrow since I have my next online assignment to see how long the nmbattery will last.
What do you think? As a matter of fact do you guys think I made a good purchase?

I have a 14pro max. Heavy into apple ecosystem as well. I just ordered an s24 ultra and 2 points you made resonated with me. 1. Spen for note taking. I went back to school and this will be a big help for quick jotting. 2. I have been very frustrated with seri and its lack of ai functionality. If I ask it a question I want an answer not a link to a website. I’m hoping Samsungs ai fixes that for me.

I have both Samsung and Apple devices.I chose the iPhone 15 plus because every time I went into the Apple shop the pro versions where always warm to the touch which will interfere with the lifespan of the pro versions-solder crystalises when constantly heating and cooling down-I find the Samsung S 24 Ultra to be far more enjoyable to use than the iPhone.I also have the iPad Pro and Samsung Ultra tablet and with these I prefer the iPad pro to the Ultra which is a bit fiddly to hold and use at the same time,great for video though.So phone wise the Samsung is much more fun to use and tablet wise the iPad beats everything.I also received the Samsung watch 6 for free with the phone and I got to say my Samsung watch 4 pro runs rings around it every way including battery charges.Saying that though,my Huawei GT 2 pro watch battery still runs about 10 days without charge and thats a few years old now!

You can find that same "issue" in S23U. Those are the camera lenses

If you considee that to not bias, if someone not mention that he is comparing 2 different generations. Just let me ask you, if the S24U still called to Note 24, do you think this comparison still looks real when the Note 24 release with the iPhone 16, but you only compare it with the already one year old iPhone? This is just a clever marketing sh*t from Samsung to fool those, whi can't even remember the past decade when the Note still had balls to directly compete the iPhone..

I have both. Both phones have pros and cons. I prefer iPhone. So practical and it feels better in hand. S24 ultra ls a supreme phone but can’t use s24u all the time
Does anyone know if it is possible to make a talking Avatar emoji in the Google or Samsung message app like he showed on his iPhone at :20 seconds. That is the first time I have seen that feature and I don't know if that is a real iPhone messenger feature or if he created it elsewhere and made it seem like an iPhone feature

Still can't get past the double layer complications of using Samsung (such as with passwords) if you rely on Google... Also, you can use Google apps on an Iphone but can't get Apple apps on an android phone.
Note 10+/20 ultra user since 2020, skipping all the S series phones until the 24U came out. The 24U was finally worth upgrading to.

I have an S22 Ultra. I switched to the iPhone 15 Pro Max once my coworker demonstrated the incredible face unlock abilities of the her iPhone. It was a game changer for me. I still keep the S22 for media consumption, but the 15 Pro Max is the workhorse now. The ability to instantly open amy with a glance did it for me. It's SO freaking convenient and reliable and has so many applications.
I'm an ole skool Android head. When or if Samsumg, or "Copysung" as my wife calls the company, gets the type of face unlock tech that Apple uses, I'll be picking up whichever number Ultra Samsung is on at the moment. And for all the reasons this talented reviewer outlined in this video. But not without the face ID tech.
I’ve used a wide variety of smartphones. Started with a Samsung blackjack 2 on windows phone software, then to a variety of android phones. HTC I forget the model name, Samsung galaxy S3 and then the S4. I moved to iPhone 6 and then to iPhone 8. Followed with a Motorola g power 2021 then to a Samusung galaxy A53 5G. The back to iPhone 12 mini and now on iPhone 15. I like the integration with other apple devices, but this video makes a compelling cases for the new Samsung flagship phones

My question for you is what features would the iPhone have to add to push you back the other way?
I usually switch back and forth between iPhone and Samsung every few years. This year tried the Pixel Pro 8 and my reasons for switching back to Apple are tiny and hoping someone can tell me there’s solutions if I switch to the S24 ultra. As I said these reasons are borderline stupid but they affected my daily use. 1. Tapping the top left of the screen to return to the top of anything. I scroll a lot but always like at the end of it returning to the top, a bit of an OCD thing. I could do this on Apple and the Pixel 8 Pro had me scrolling all the way back up each time. 2. The email app. The stock Apple mail app, shows me all my accounts, how many emails each one has and it’s a tap and a swipe back to switch. The Gmail app, unless I’m using it wrong, I had to switch accounts constantly using the top right burger options to see each account? Is there a better email app that works similar to the Apple version? 3. This might be the pettiest of them all but my screen wallpaper is a live image of the earth from my location, that changes with the time of day and I’ve always enjoyed this, again is there anything similar on the S24 Ultra?
Anyway, sorry for the long winded message and if anyone actually takes the time to read it and can help me with any of these minor issues, that would be awesome.

Been with iphone ever since i bought my first phone at 18, ive had the 6 through to the 14 and i decided to switch it up with the plain jane s24 no pro no ultra just the s24, this bad boy is sweet, going from iphones to android kinda feels like going from driving a golf cart to driving a real car, so much more funtionality and i like that i can download old pokemon games on here too, iphone could never

I have been using the s24 ultra since January, battery 🔋 has been good, I watch alot of RUclips, Netflix and some gaming. The screen is amazing, the AI features are cool.
Im surprised no one mentioned about the multitasking the google map feature on top of other apps. That has been one of my fav feature on the android.
I've been an Iphone and Android user since 2004, I really love my Iphone. I bought a used Galaxy phone was impressed. But I decided to take the leap and in two days I'll have a S24 ultra in my hands. I'm 58 and very tech savvy, I can use any phone. But looking forward to trying the S24 Ultra. Thanks for the video. :)
If you're like me, you'll end up using both. I prefer the S24U but the darn family makes getting rid of iPhone a little bit problematic. 🙂

Good video, I have the S22Ultra, wife has S24Ultra. Both great phones and the customizations are near limitless, you don't get that with a Iphone.

Had 15 pro max for 3 to 4 months. Coming to samsung s 24 ultra and I'm really happy with it # 🔮
My iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn’t last the whole day on a single battery charge; I don’t know how everyone else manages to make it work. I use it all day, so I have to charge it at least twice.
That being said, this Samsung Galaxy S24 is becoming more and more appealing; I might make the switch too.
Transitioning from the iPhone 14 Pro, I've found the battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be exceptionally good, easily surpassing expectations.
Depending on how much I use my 15 Pro Max, I may need to charge it again towards the end of the day to last all night.
With my previous iPhone 14 Pro, the battery would deplete within 4 hours, reminiscent of the performance I experienced with an iPhone 6.
The main upgrades I would like to see in the next gen iPhone (16) are faster charging speeds and better AI integration.
The Galaxy's AI has set a high standard with its everyday usefulness.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this year's WWDC.
I also went from the 14Pro to the 15Max and I love the battery and I give it a hard time because I work in the street….

To be brutally honest, the Samsung is practically the best, donno why people always talk about the ecosystem, we are paying for that particular device hardware... software and the overall experience not only for the ecosystem 😄.... Great video! I have the 15 Pro and Galaxy S24U. Both are great, but I use the S24U more consistently. The S24U works better for my work and daily needs.
iPhone is just way too limited compared to android especially for the money Apple is asking. camera is not enough to be a flagship phone.
I just can’t adjust to not having iMessage. Sending high quality photos/video. That’s the ONLY thing holding me back.
Android to Android has RCS, which does the same thing iMessage does but better. The only thing iMessage has are other features, but RCS is being updated constantly so eventually we may have all that. The problem when it comes to iOS texting Android is that Apple doesn't allow RCS messaging, which is the industry standard. This is why there's a lot of complaints and lawsuit with Apple. Apple doesn't allow secure texting from iOS to Android, while claiming their phones are more secure than Androids.... Well, duh if you block a service from your device to another, YOU make it unsecure, Apple. It's very backwards.

Both are absolutely great phones and the IPhone does what it can do very well! Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is.
But if you love both, then that's the most important thing! More power for you, haha!

What's going on? Another great video, as usual. I'm in both ecosystems. I have the S24U, Z Fold 4, Tab S9 & the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. On the Apple side of things, I have iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra, iPad Pro 12.9 & a MacBook Pro 15 inch. The only reason why I didn't switch to the 14 or 15 Pro Max because they took away the physical sim. I can honestly say I can't put my android items down (especially my Z Fold 4). I only use mine apple products for all the people complaining about my green texts and for the few people I FaceTime.

The Galaxy S24ultra has left all other phones on Pluto, it's in a world by itself easily the best phone of 2024, knowing Apple track record the iPhone's 16promax will have a camera and processor upgrade a few Ai features and that's probably it.
