I want to say YES! But it really depends. Not everyone buys Tech for that reason, BUT For the amount of money IPhones cost, you should get those bang features that assist every day living
I think there's a benefit and polish that Apple is afforded because they keep options fewer and don't throw a million things at the wall to see what sticks. There's upsides to how each one does it. That being said, apple has been a little too restrictive. They just have to lighten up their control like 15%. I would never want ios to lose its polish. I'm typing this from my s22 ultra that I still really enjoy to this day. Can't wait for the 16 pro max. Probably gonna make the switch. It's pretty much back and forth each upgrade, but as I get older I'm starting to think I might just settle in with iphone. Especially since the new lawsuits and stuff are finally forcing them to make some consumer friendly changes and additions to their phones.
@Juicemanee customisation can bring more simplicity/ efficiency , ever tried to actually use it? Or you just go with the out of the box experience wich is pointless.. I mean why pay 1k just for that. Go on try one hand operation plus app and micro gesture app and with swipe gestures instead of iphone navingation gestures or digital navigation buttons There's no going back for me
#🔮, I'm a diehard, samsung user. Since my first slide. I upgraded to an S24 from a S23 ultra. I am still learning all of the features, but I love my S24 Ultra. Thank you for this review.
When having a Samsung phone, Samsung tablet, laptop, samsung smartwatch, samsung buds, Samsung tv, Samsung smart washing machine, dishwasher and fridge etc, Then you'll understand the true meaning of ecosystem and integration.
I have Samsung S23 Ultra, Tablet S6, laptop Book 3 Ultra and 65 inch TV. Quick share and Smart view functions work seamlessly on all devices. Quick share is as good as airdrop if not better! And I love to connect my S23 Ultra to my 65 in TV via DEX. Love the Samsung ecosystem!
Hi there! RUclips notified me that you commented specifically because you're a bigger channel, haha, so you've made it 😁 And I LOVE IT. You're deep in the Sam Exosystem, that's really cool to see! And agreed, Quick Drop does not get enough credit for how smooth and quick it is! Thanks so much for sharing your perspective and experiences! Responding on my Fold 5 😁
Hello David, I appreciate your content and believe that your channel has the potential to grow significantly in the near future. Consistency and regular uploads will be key to achieving this. Best regards!
I sort of fell into the eco system. I owned samsung phones for years now after a long term iphone ownership. I ended up not intentionally buying some samsung TVs and the integration plus the routines you can do to automate your phone and your house is fantastic. It's so seamless and dex has allowed me to keep my PC plugged into my 65" TV which is much better than any monitor I own in everyday for gaming. Dex I use at my normal work desk for my casual PC use and of course I use it for my work laptop for my coding work.
🌌 went from i14PM to S24U and I'm so glad I left the Apple bubble. The screen is absolutely class-leading, I do not miss the stupid notch. I love the S-pen, I have no negatives about the S24U and I'll use it daily for the next 2-3 years without hesitation.
Absolutely! Both are absolutely great phones and the IPhone does what it can do very well! Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is
I was an Iphone user from Iphone 1-7 and then switched to pixel 6Pro. Now I'm an S24 Ultra user and i will never go back. This is almost a perfect phone, the only thing that I miss on my Pixel is the camera.
Both are absolutely great phones and the IPhone does what it can do very well! Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is Thanks for sharing your perspective!
#🍎 how are you handling transitions with regards to storing passwords and using Apple Pay or Samsung Pay? Coming from Apple I’m curious if Knox is secure enough comparing to iOS ecosystem. I’m pretty integrated with the fam. So switching will be a bit tough. Hoping to get some advice
@@ekasism Exactly. The camera is awful. I cant understand how these reviewers review the phone. I am using s23u and the camera is shit compared to my 15promax
As someone who uses both Android and iOS, I believe the Samsung Ultra justifies its price tag. It's my main phone, while I keep a regular iPhone for iOS-specific things and family communication. I also switch between a PC and a MacBook, so I take advantage of DeX and Link to Windows functions. Let's be honest, I'm a tech enthusiast who enjoys having the best of both worlds. It's not for everyone; juggling multiple devices can be cumbersome. The key is to choose what best suits your needs and lifestyle. For me, it seems I'll be captain two-phones for the foreseeable future. I'm not loyal to any brand, just exploring what each ecosystem offers.
Hey, I'm pretty much like you. Tech enthusiast and IT Professional who appreciates many devices. I own S24U, Fold 5 and iPhone 15 Pro (mostly for family stuff) but there are simply to many things I can do with my S24U that can't be done on the iPhone. Galaxy AI is game changer. I can't wait to see what they add to it over time.
Well my looking around to understand if it could be worth try an iphone stops here... Apparently apple locks in users by closing their main communication apps, and I see lots of people remaining with iphone for this very reason, which is not a factor for since where I live people use other more modern and open platforms... Therefore I'm good with my s24u
How would you not mention the anti-glare screen on the s24 Ultra??? It's such a game changer and every flagship phone moving forward should adopt this feature.
Hahahah, that's a really great point! I guess I kind of forget it's there if I'm being honest. I was more focused on practical features but you're 100000% right that the anti glare is great!
I just got the Samsung s24 and as of now I’m not impress. I still like the iPhone. To me it’s not as user friendly as the iPhone. But I only have a couple of days.
Nice name you've got there 😁 The 23U is STILL a beast. I talked about that in my initial 24U review, the 23U is every bit of a beast now as it was last year! Super happy you're enjoying it , and thank you so much for the support 😊 More to come!
@@DavidAVelez1 only thing I wish I had done is wait to get the online red version as it was sold out when I was going to order it so I had to settle for the grey one! 😅
@drodrigp I actually have not seen a red one in person yet! But it does look tantalizing in pictures 🤤 They Grey is a good look! I wish I could recommend channel sponsor DBrand but they don't even know I exist 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
It's always cool seeing commenters like you have both devices and sharing your thoughts! Both are absolutely great devices, I just prefer the 24U because of the added optionality.
Dang, can I frame your comment and put it on my wall 🥹 That really means a lot, Daniel! Thank you so much! This YT thing can be hard especially juggling a normal job and it takes a lot of effort. On top of that I always try to be as impartial as possible and so your comment really made my day. Thank you so much, and much more to come! 😁
Rockin' the S23 Ultra and 14 Pro. Both do a great job so no need to upgrade, especially after the One UI 6.1 update to the S23U. Oh, and to add, which I am using more than the S23 Ultra, is my Pixel 7 Pro 😊. Nice content as always!
Great video! I tried the iPhone, but it didn't convince me, I have an S24 ultra right now, and it's just amazing, I consider that for me and my needs it's perfect, it's a very complex and complete smartphone, it's very fast, great camera's, the One UI it's better with each update, Knox security, it's super, I love it!
The DEX is really good for people that has no PC or laptop. Getting a DEX dock using a wireless mouse and keyboard. it's a game changer. having a PC when you're at home. ^_^
Great video! I have the 15 Pro and Galaxy S24U. Both are great, but I use the S24U more consistently. The S24U works better for my work and daily needs.
I also have both but i use the Flip 6 for work and my iPhone for personal use but I'm thinking about switching it around. I use my flip 6 way more than my iPhone cause it's just a fun phone, being with apple so long made me forget how fun a phone could be. Literally evey time I buy a new iphone i feel as if nothing has changed and most of the time it hasn't. They may upgrade the OS but most of the time it's very minimal changes and let's not even speak on the hardware. I swear they've released the same phone for the past 3-4 iterations, they just change the colors lol and people rush out to buy them.
Just discovered your channel, can’t believe you don’t have 1M views! I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, but your video is very sincere and legit, it makes me think about S24 Ultra. Keep up the great work! RUclips needs guys like you!
Apple/iOs is great if you've already bought into their ecosystem. Samsung, and Android in general, is vastly superior if you aren't a brand loyalist. You end up with a lot more flexibility on Android systems in both on-board customization and connected device integration. When you have Apple, it plays best (and often only plays at all) with Apple. Android, no matter the flavor (Samsung, Google, Motorola, OnePlus, etc) is more versatile, even if sometimes the set-up isn't as seamless.
Good to actually see a mention about multitasking, there's literally only one phone that doesn't do it now which is surely intentional when iPads can 🤷♂️.
Well said. U mentioned pretty much all the reasons why I love android n samsung. I got the s24 ultra n love it. I upgraded from the fold 4, which I loved too, but unfortunately, the hinge didn't turn out too good. Keep up the good work man.
I'm with you. I switched to iPhone 14 pro max for three months and was a bad experience starting with the back gesture. iPhone do not have the exact feature. I also hate the iPhone keyboard because you need to change langague to write different languages. In Android there are many keyboards (Gboard and Swiftkey are the kings) that you can write in multiple languages without change the language everytime you want to use it. The Apple in apps settings and menus are not intuitive. The settings on Android apps are in the same app. But in Apple you need to go to the phone menu settings etc. Now, the gap between IOS and Android is close and for me Samsung is the best smartphone. Thanks for the video
Great info... I switched over to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series. And i'm not going back to an apple iphone.. I made the switch four years ago and have a look back..
I’m in the same situation you made years ago. I’m leaving the 🍎 ecosystem and am thinking between three ultra 24 or fold 5.. which one should I get in your opinion??
Finally people are waking up, apple is so boring compared to Samsung phones. They're just popular in the us, most of their users keep them because they don't want green text bubbles 😂 which is even more ridiculous
You nailed it in the first 50 seconds. "I'm tired of making concessions". Exactly! I don't need all the fancy gimmicks that are good for a marketing, but not for running my life or my business. I've had enough Apple, I'm going back to Samsung.
Nice vid ! I moved from iPhone 13 Pro which I loved now I own a s24 ultra . Honestly it’s overwhelming how many different customisable options you have for anything. I feel I have too much tech to use in such a device but will take a while to get used to it all and actually enjoy the features it offers. Right now…. To the point the actual reason I upgraded to Samsung is because Apple don’t offer anything new but the s24 ultra offers a lot. It’s a shame Samsung don’t have the gorgeous looks and smooth edges but hey you can’t have it all !
Hi, Giovanni! Thanks for the feedback, I'm really glad you enjoyed it! I always try to give credit where it's due, but there are definitely concessions made for me when picking up an IP
Thank you so much, and I appreciate you see it as unbiased because that is always the intention. The 15PM does a TON of what it does do very well! But every day things that I'd like for a phone to do, the 24U just always seems to have an answer and I love it for that
Oh wow! That really means a lot 🥹 I am so happy that you enjoy the videos and find the real world, practical angles helpful 😊 The goal is always to give you guys life insights and hopefully help you arrive at a sound decision for yourselves, so your comment means a lot! Much more to come! 😁
If you considee that to not bias, if someone not mention that he is comparing 2 different generations. Just let me ask you, if the S24U still called to Note 24, do you think this comparison still looks real when the Note 24 release with the iPhone 16, but you only compare it with the already one year old iPhone? This is just a clever marketing sh*t from Samsung to fool those, whi can't even remember the past decade when the Note still had balls to directly compete the iPhone..
My iPhone 15 Pro Max doesn’t last the whole day on a single battery charge; I don’t know how everyone else manages to make it work. I use it all day, so I have to charge it at least twice. That being said, this Samsung Galaxy S24 is becoming more and more appealing; I might make the switch too.
Transitioning from the iPhone 14 Pro, I've found the battery life of the iPhone 15 Pro Max to be exceptionally good, easily surpassing expectations. Depending on how much I use my 15 Pro Max, I may need to charge it again towards the end of the day to last all night. With my previous iPhone 14 Pro, the battery would deplete within 4 hours, reminiscent of the performance I experienced with an iPhone 6. The main upgrades I would like to see in the next gen iPhone (16) are faster charging speeds and better AI integration. The Galaxy's AI has set a high standard with its everyday usefulness. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this year's WWDC.
I have an S22 Ultra. I switched to the iPhone 15 Pro Max once my coworker demonstrated the incredible face unlock abilities of the her iPhone. It was a game changer for me. I still keep the S22 for media consumption, but the 15 Pro Max is the workhorse now. The ability to instantly open amy with a glance did it for me. It's SO freaking convenient and reliable and has so many applications. I'm an ole skool Android head. When or if Samsumg, or "Copysung" as my wife calls the company, gets the type of face unlock tech that Apple uses, I'll be picking up whichever number Ultra Samsung is on at the moment. And for all the reasons this talented reviewer outlined in this video. But not without the face ID tech.
Exynos or Snapdragon? My Euro spec Exynos s22 Ultra is probably the worst phone I've had compared to the other phones of it's time, laggy, hot, bad battery. And I've only had samsung phones. Probably also moving to the IPhone, and getting airpods and a Mac along the way
I’m an iPhone user looking to switch to the Samsung s24 ultra. I personally don’t care for all the sketchy stuff apple pulls with their iphone updates.. I’m over it.
I‘m currently in the same situation! I upgraded from my iPhone 12 PM to 15 when it was released because my preordered 15 Pro took me to long to be delivered. My 15 though fell down a few weeks ago exactly on the lock button and since then, I can’t (un)lock my iPhone with the button anymore and I was now thinking of replacing it with the 15 Pro. BUT: Recently I was shopping and came across the Galaxy S24 and I was SO impressed by how similar they look and how GOOD it was. I am an iPhone user since the 3GS (before I had the Galaxy S3) and back then, I hated Android. But now I really think about switching although I got the HomePod, Apple Watch, MB Air + AirPods. I keep seeing new bugs within my iOS 17 and I’m tired of this… on the other hand, I‘m not yet over the fact of not having an iPhone anymore 🥲
I moved from iPhone 13 to 15 and I’m sure this is the worst iphone ever. To many bugs and always the same operation system since iPhone X. I will go to S24 as soon as new galaxy watch 7 be launched. I’m tired of apple present “this is the best product ever made” without any news.
A nice review David... but I have to tell you WHY my family chose the iPhone over all others. 2 years ago our 84 year old mother fell at home. The iPhone called automatically and got her medical attention. A month later our uncle was involved in an auto accident. Again, the iPhone called for help with the exact location. Then, while hiking in the Adirondack Mountains last Summer, we became lost. No cell service for anyone in our group. The iPhone sent a text via satellite and help arrived. That one was a bit costly but happily paid. Yes, the new Samsungs are incredible but since we don't like gaming on a small screen, we will stick to the important things in real life. Thanks again . Liked and subscribed.
Thank you for the post. I have a Google Pixel 6, and was considering the iPhone to be my next phone purchase. I think you explained it perfectly, Apple offers different features than Samsung and or Google. I can understand how people prefer one or the other, there's no real answer. It's a piece of technology at the end of the day. There's no right or wrong answer.
Dude, I watch your videos even if they don't pertain to my specific needs. Your delivery is so smooth. I admire how clearly you articulate yourself, bro.
Dang, man. I really appreciate that a ton! These can take quite a bit of time to make alongside other life things and so comments like yours TRULY mean a ton to me 🥹 Much love, man heart❤ I'm glad you enjoy the content here, More to come! 😁
I was an Apple hater for decades. I switched to iOS several years ago when Samsung’s tablet offerings were weak. I was already angry with Google for its lack of support for Android tablets. It was a last straw for me, so I bought an iPad Pro. Then a year latter, an iPhone, then a Watch, then a MacBook Pro. I will probably never return to Android, Chrome, or Windows (never say never). I’m of an age now where I just want my tech to work well. Apple products provide that, period. The ecosystem integration is a huge plus. All of my kids, and grandkids, use iPhones.
@@fbales This is 1000% valid also! This is a great example of life integration and how it works best for the individual. As long as it makes sense and works best for you and your lifestyle, that's all that matters. Thank you so much for sharing your perspective on it!
Apple is 1 trick pony ==> Samsung ecosystem: Smartphones (S 24 Ultra with S-Pen & DEX, so no need for extra iPad pro) Tablets (Galaxy Tab series) Smartwatches (Galaxy Watch series) Wireless earbuds (Galaxy Buds series) Smart TVs (QLED, Neo QLED, The Frame, etc.) Refrigerators (incl Family Hub smart fridges) Washing machines Dryers Dishwashers Vacuums (including robot vacuums) Air conditioners Air purifiers Ovens and ranges Microwaves Laptops (Galaxy Book series) Monitors Soundbars Home theater systems Portable speakers Smart home hubs (SmartThings Hub) Smart light bulbs Smart plugs Smart cameras Smart door locks Smart thermostats Projectors (The Freestyle) Memory &storage devices (SSDs, memory cards) ... Hey Bixby, I'm on holiday, make sure my devices have done good job when I come back (AI updated, backed up, clean, warm, dinner ready ;)
I too had a Huawei M3 tablet, a Nexus 5 phone, but the Android experience was not good, so I switched to iPhone in 2020. Bought iPads and watch later and I am very satisfied. But do have pcs and and laptops for Windows for my gaming.
I heard somewhere that Apple is more like Debian and the others are more bleeding edge like Arch (if you want to put it in a Linux perspective). Debian just works and is more stable while the others test out new technologies.
Great breakdown! I got the Z fold 5 a couple of months ago, upgrading from an S22 FE, and I couldn't be happier. Samsung has been nocking it out of the park lately. They converted me from someone who buys a 100$ phone and uses it till it breaks down. The phone does get warm, though.
Great content. I love my s23 ultra. Freedom is what I love best about my 23 ultra. The freedom to make it mine. We're apple still control's what they'll let you do.😢
My last iPhone as a primary phone is XS max and been using Samsung and Huawei as the secondqry. In 2019 I switched to Samsung Galaxy S10 as primary, S20u, S22u and now S24u. I always have the iPhone with me all this while and now iPhone 14 Pro Max as my secondary phone. Been using 2 or 3 phones at the same time, for personal use and for work. Trust me as a former iPhone fan boy who love adventure and user experience Samsung lineup are top of the game. Never had a green line or pink line issue, remember to use your phone responsibly to avoid those kind of issues. Dont let it overheating, dont throw it into ocean. Dont charge your phone while using it, dont smash it when you had an arguement with your partner.
Thank you so much, Chibuike! I really, really appreciate that 🥹 It's a lot of work doing these videos and juggling other things and work so co.ments like yours always mean a lot to me 😁 Thank you so much, and I'm glad you enjoy the videos and the perspectives! Much more to come!
Great video as always. I have carried both samsung and iphone and a few others android and black berry based devices for the past 12 years side by side. I currently have an 24u, gw6 classic, buds pro 2, tab s9u, iphone 15pm, watch ultra 2, airpods pro 2 and Mac mini (sold ipad pro 12inch). I have to say the both have their strengths and weaknesses. I prefer to daily drive my samsung because I can literally set up my phone the way I want it and nothing beats that in my personal use. I don't trap myself in any ecosystem. I use Google drive and photos and now one drive for cloud based storage if needed. I have my apple stuff saved in both icloud and Google. If I were to give up one device it would be the iphone. It's not a bad device by any means but I love samsung one ui and the ease of use features. I do however prefer video on the iphone. Maybe once ios 18 comes the "new" features may change that. But currently ios is lacking, t9 dial, universal back gesture, arbitrary app placement, no close all apps button, no silent toggle (only vibrate unless you go into settings and select it). No ability to add apps directly to folders without the drop and drag hassel.I find that I have to do 10 more steps in ios than one ui. Still no pause video in ios recording. But I do still have a love for it in many ways esp when using it with other apple products and users. Both are great.
Your video just came up on my feed and it was very helpful. I’ve been thinking about making the switch from iPhone to Samsung lately. I have the iPhone 15 Pro, but my coworker has the Galaxy Flip phone and it is so awesome. All my family have the iPhone as well except for my oldest son. He has the S23 Ultra. I’m not sure if I’m the only female commenting, but your voice is very soothing and you are definitely easy on the eyes 😉. Great video though and I hope to see more comparisons of these phones and others.
What's going on? Another great video, as usual. I'm in both ecosystems. I have the S24U, Z Fold 4, Tab S9 & the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. On the Apple side of things, I have iPhone 13 Pro Max, iPhone 12 Pro Max, Apple Watch Ultra, iPad Pro 12.9 & a MacBook Pro 15 inch. The only reason why I didn't switch to the 14 or 15 Pro Max because they took away the physical sim. I can honestly say I can't put my android items down (especially my Z Fold 4). I only use mine apple products for all the people complaining about my green texts and for the few people I FaceTime.
The man, E! Dang you are SUPER deep on both ends of the spectrum - That's awesome, man! You get to live in both and have a deep, well rounded perspective on things. Don't you love getting hounded by the Blue Bubble Brigade? 🤣 Responding to you on my ZFold5, actually 💪
@@DavidAVelez1 lol yes sir, I love it. I wish my Z Fold 4 would have gotten the one UI 6.1. Oh well, I'll trade it in for the Z Fold 6 lol. Have a good one and keep making the videos.
its always ironic when content creators praise Samsung and say that they have migrated to Samsung from Apple since 45 days, while still using an Apple watch.
You're missing the point. This should tell you how people are being trapped in apple's rediculously and almost melecious ly closed ecosystem. It makes it difficult for people to switch even though it's apparent that Samaung phones are the better option.
Thanks for the review. I'm also use almost the same way my love galaxies. Ultras are giving better from digital world. Keep touch for the next generations. :)
The Galaxy S24ultra has left all other phones on Pluto, it's in a world by itself easily the best phone of 2024, knowing Apple track record the iPhone's 16promax will have a camera and processor upgrade a few Ai features and that's probably it.
samsung user here and i have to agree on the speakers topic...the iphone speakers are better quality indeed no question:D they really nailed it:D great review✌✌✌
I'm torn between S24U and iPhone 15 Pro Max. As a long time S22U user doing videos and photography, I also wanted to try the iPhone but my concern is the transfer of files from iPhone to a Windows computer.
I bought the 24 ultra last week, i love it the screen camera it's all great. I think both phones are amazing each in there own way. Good video with good indept information :)
Iphone is more like Fashion Brand. its like a Known watch with great design but still in the end just a watch, telling you a time. Meanwhile Samsung really stand on its name Smartphone, well its also expensive but like watch comparison it can compare to Smartwatch like you can do other thing not only by watching the Time.
I own an iPhone 15 Pro Max and just picked up the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and so far, I,m loving everything about it! Don't know why I didn't decide to "dual wield" sooner!
That's awesome. I'm trying to get myself there financially. Still using my s22 ultra. Next phone is going to be an iPhone just to try it. I know for a fact it does what I need and I absolutely love and recommend samsung, but I'm just ready to switch it up. New samsung phones feel for me exactly how new iphones feel. Just small upgrades year to year. Iphone will make it exciting this time.
Longtime android user..going back all the way to the HTC Dream/G1. Ive had most of the galaxy devcies since the s3/note 2 as as well google phones going back to the galaxy nexus. I tried an iphone 14 pro max when it dropped for work and lasted about a year. Too many mission features for my liking. Rocking a pixel 7 pro intead of it and go back and forth between the s24 ultra and fold 5 for my personal devices
'Optionality' is my new favorite word! I appreciate your honest review. I have both a Samsung Fold 4 and iPhone 12 and to be honest I get far more use out of my Samsung device, both great phones, I just find the Samsung device has more Optionalities ;-)
Switched from iPhone to Z Fold 5. Now that Android has Ai features, the gap is ridiculous! At this point, the only thing I will buy from Apple are their laptops.
Hey, Bryan! That's what I'm saying, man. I'm responding to you on the Fold 5 right now and between this and the 24U it's so hard yo go back to an IPhone despite their tablets and laptops being amazing.
Always so great to see you, Faith! 😊 Thank you for the love, and hahaha I still have a long way to go for "best" but knowing I have your support means the world 😁 Much more to come and a long journey ahead!
I have both an Android phone and an iPhone. When I am not at work, I prefer to use my Samsung S24 Ultra. However, I appreciate the Apple ecosystem more due to its seamless notifications and iMessage platform. Additionally, I utilize my MacBook Pro for visual design, videography, and various design programs.
Thanks bro just got mines the mail two days ago ( 512gb) can’t wait to activate it & get it Going . Currently have a iPhone 13 Pro Max which i will still keep for backup 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾✊🏾👊🏾✌🏾Great Review btw
Happy Easter Dave and everyone hope today is treated you all well. Dave I must tell you I got a new tablet couple days ago it's the S6 Lite (2022) version. It has 64GB of internal storage with 4Gigs of Ram, along with a Qualcomm chip to make it snappy. So far I like it. The purpose of me buying it is that I needed for school in a quick pinch. I can use the S Pen, do Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNotes. Also I'm using this for entertainment purpose too. You can say this is a balance. I haven't tested its full capabilities yet, but I will sometime today and tomorrow since I have my next online assignment to see how long the nmbattery will last. What do you think? As a matter of fact do you guys think I made a good purchase?
Happy Easter, Kenneth! Tab S6 Lite! I have a buddy with one and he's all around happy with it as well! And I would say, as long as you're happy with it and it does what you want then that's the most important thing! Do you have a Bluetooth Keyboard to use with it also?
Great video, nice job creating! You have a very good voice for video / TV. Very clear, concise and easy to understand. Thank you for the honest reveiw, much appreciated.
Probably because it only has 8 gigs of ram but to not have split screen apps in 2024 is wild. People that swear iphone is the best haven't used a Samsung phone before, they're so biased it's ridiculous
@@TheSkyrimps3 so why they can’t do it for their phones since they basically run the same OS, and why mention the iPad when we specifically talking about the iPhone. That’s like saying it doesn’t matter that my car doesn’t have ac but it’s ok because my house does 😂😂 that’s basically irrelevant af. Like mf’s jus walking around with iPads in they pocket 🤣 they just need to go ahead and add it to the phones and stop playing.
Been watching comparison/review vids all morning and each one I saw just fortifies my wish to switch from an iphone 14pro to the S24 Ultra because I play a lot of games on my phone as a part of my morning routine and oh how it annoys me that my phone not only gets hot but also is down below 50% by noon
Lmao literally the only thing that keeps half of their users from switching. They don't wanna be judged by their friends for having green text bubbles 😂 so stupid.
It's funny that when I'm thinking on switching to iPhone bc I have a mac, I only see videos that show that Samsung and pixel devices are ahead of iPhone. Great video!
From over the pond here just subbed !!! What a great review - honest - impartial- very good 👍 I’ve been an iPhone user since the days of 3 gs and seriously want to get out of the apple ecosystem
I just had the same experience as you a month ago. I switched to S24 Utra last week. The most impactful change is that I only carry my iPhone and iPad to work. I only need my S24 Ultra with a pen. I still vividly remember a time,(many years ago when the magnetic Apple pencil first came out) when I tried to use an Apple pencil on my iPhone, and it didn't work. If I had switched to Android back then, I would have saved a lot of money by buying a new iPad and Apple Pencil.
Android to Android has RCS, which does the same thing iMessage does but better. The only thing iMessage has are other features, but RCS is being updated constantly so eventually we may have all that. The problem when it comes to iOS texting Android is that Apple doesn't allow RCS messaging, which is the industry standard. This is why there's a lot of complaints and lawsuit with Apple. Apple doesn't allow secure texting from iOS to Android, while claiming their phones are more secure than Androids.... Well, duh if you block a service from your device to another, YOU make it unsecure, Apple. It's very backwards. Apple is the problem. Lol
Well now that reason is gone! iOS is getting RCS compatibility this fall. Now you can send high quality pictures and videos with iPhone users (once that update hits Apple).
Ok best video quality yet... whatever/however you filmed this video is the best so far, no more cloudy video affect. 🎉 awesome. I'm personally stuck on the fold 5 even though I have an iPhone 15 pro max.
Hahahaha, I appreciate you being around long enough to have that critique/kudos! All I did was darken the blacks in the color grade a bit more - I'm glad you like it! And can I tell you a secret..... I'm responding on my Fold 5 😆 🙊
Thanks for a great vid. Would love to hear your thoughts on the google wallet vs the apple wallet. I really want to move from Apple but could not do without a great wallet. Will I be dissapointed with the google wallet?
I use Apple Pay and Google Pay. Love them both but I think Apple pay works just a little bit smoother and setup is easier too. That said, Google Wallet is still pretty decent.
I've got an S23 and it just this week gave me the update with all the same new AI features, it's fun to play with for sure. But I'm still going to upgrade to the s24 ultra soon. :)
One thing I love the most about the iPhone is how seamlessly it integrates with the MacBook-iMessage, Notes, Reminders, FaceTime...basically every native OSX/iOS app...and most importantly answering calls and responding to messages directly on the MacBook (while at work for example) without even touching the iPhone. Can I achieve the same level of integration with the S24 Ultra and a MacBook?
I mean if you use dex etc samsung is better. But for normal everyday task i pick my iphone over my samsung everytime. And only using samsung for work, since my company baught it.
Hey, Viki! That's completely valid! I'm just sharing my personal use perspective to hopefully paint a picture for those on the fence either way. I appreciate your perspective also!
Great video. I agree with you completely. I've had almost every iPhone since the beginning, and same with the Pixel, but here and there I have tried the Notes and Ultras. However, this time around, the S24 Ultra has just done it. It's just become the go to in every situation for me and I won't be without it going forward now that I see what it can do in my life.
Hey David and youtube family. New S24 ultra user here. I would appreciate if you can make a video for new users who just switched over. For example do I use Samsung pay or Gpay? Auto fill passwords like on the iPhone? Which app do I use? Wallet is it safe? Which one should I use? Which browser should I use chrome or Samsung? Where does Samsung excel over the iPhone? And most importantly what features does the Samsung have over the iPhone that I don't even know about??
I am more keen to take photos with my samsung than my iphone. Why? Iphone is dull, its more for work and rigid screen is dull. My samsung is like my comfy home. I can design my layout. Its pleasing quality makes me want to use it more
Hey, Azuwat! Cool to see you have both and have a unique perspective on it! I agree, there's a lot of weird, unintuitive and restrictive design language with the IP that makes me scratch my head.
Nobody mentions the major deal breaker. The fact that on android keyboard the numbers are on the top so you don't have to swith just to do a number. Also look at the calculator. Say you add a bunch of things together it showes the steps so you can make sure you added everything.
LARRY, YES! I complained about this to my family (IPhone users) In the first two weeks 😂 They said, "You get used to it" and my response was, "Well.... don't you want... the choice? You can make the keyboard just like the Iphone one on Android.... or you can make it like this which makes more practical sense" They just shrugged 😂🤦🏽♂️
Great video. Questions. What messaging app do you use and do you use Samsung Gallery app? Are you able to get Samsung Gallery app and Google photos to sync together?
Google messages is the only rcs app. Newer Samsung phones don't come with Samsung messages. WhatsApp works of course. Also, Samsung photos sync to one drive, which is worse if you use it. However, actually using Google photos is terrible. Ads for better photo editing and misleading messages for backup. The first time you open it, a nonclosable suggestion to "not backup", or "backup". This isn't so bad, but as soon as you take the reasonable choice of backing it up, nearly everybody will exceed 15gb of photos and videos. Before you exceed it, it tells you to "free up storage", which is just downloading a copy from Google when you open a photo, and deleting them from your phone. It's very misleading, however it gets worse. You pay 10$ a month or whatever it is for 100gb cloud, fine. You want to stop? You have to find "Google takeout", which is buried on Google and hard to find. Then you have to download your entire photo and video library in 5-20 zips, then uncompress them. Metadata except data taken is eraced, and on a s21 1gbit internet, this took an entire day. The worst part is actually being able to use Gmail, Google suite, which you pretty much have to. They block everything until you go under that 15gb mark. There is no easier way than clicking every day there's a photo taken on a laggy desktop enter face, for about an hour. It's so bad, there's a script to do it on github. If you finally do it, Google photos will still pester you to backup. Google photos is terrible. Use something else.
@@trini2DBone134 Each brand has their own design philosophies, which is why even though Pixels and Samsungs both run Android, they don't look the same. It's not brainwashed, it's just personal preference. Brainwashed is like the people who still think that Macs can't get viruses.
@@JorgieTV01na u guys are idiots. Apple has made rock solid iconic devices for 2 decades with wayyy higher build quality than the rest of the guys. Build quiality isn’t all that different from others today but it’s an insanely solid and reputable device. The OS is a huge deal also. I dare any of the other companies create an os that’s worth a crap. One that can capture over a 1/3 of the entire phone market. One worth optimizing everything for.…it’s cool though, you guys have lots of features but it’ll always be some ice cream twinky sandwich bullcrap. Now as far as phone manufactures? I think Samsung can make a great phone lmao 😊
Hate saying this but you hit the nail on the head. Android back in the day was no where near as good as an iPhone. Now they are nearly equal specially if you comparing samsung and apples flagship devices. I bailed on apple and went with a Z Fold 4 a while back and loved it. Except for the fact my day to day was to rough on it's frame. So I switched to the s24 ultra when I changed service providers and moving things over was nearly seamless and easier than upgrading to a new iPhone. I easily transferred everything without a hitch and it was easy and quick. Probably one of the best phones I've ever had.
Great perspective and thanks for chiming in! Both are absolutely great phones and the IPhone does what it can do very well! Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is.
I'm glad I found your channel. Happy to subscribe. Your insight is refreshing and far more valuable than other reviews when speaking about lifestyle context and which phone is worth having. You nailed it on the price issue. Why have any tech that is terribly expensive but offers little to meet most of your lifestyle needs. Best to buy one that meets and often times exceeds expectations to match the price. Finally, you also didn't dwell on camera specs. Fck them all reviews of smart phones where the primary focus is on the camera. Hellooooo, I'm not in the market for a camera.
Nice video, one thing David, have you tried shaking your s24 ultra and you hear this rattling sound like there's a loose component inside? We have this problem here in Spain
Exactly, you pay money for tech to have a solution for almost everything. Thats why s24 ultra is king
I want to say YES!
But it really depends. Not everyone buys Tech for that reason, BUT
For the amount of money IPhones cost, you should get those bang features that assist every day living
Go on try one hand operation plus app and micro gesture app and with swipe gestures instead of iphone navingation gestures or digital navigation buttons
There's no going back for me

Best regards!
I sort of fell into the eco system. I owned samsung phones for years now after a long term iphone ownership. I ended up not intentionally buying some samsung TVs and the integration plus the routines you can do to automate your phone and your house is fantastic. It's so seamless and dex has allowed me to keep my PC plugged into my 65" TV which is much better than any monitor I own in everyday for gaming. Dex I use at my normal work desk for my casual PC use and of course I use it for my work laptop for my coding work.
Tempted to get a tablet coming from a Fold 3 which I enjoyed reading in extensively. Is it worth it? Or is there too much overlap with an S2X Ultra?
When did Samsung get an ecosystem? 🤣
🌌 went from i14PM to S24U and I'm so glad I left the Apple bubble. The screen is absolutely class-leading, I do not miss the stupid notch. I love the S-pen, I have no negatives about the S24U and I'll use it daily for the next 2-3 years without hesitation.

Same here. Had iphone 3, 4, 5, 6... Then Samsung S8 Plus, Note 10, Folder 3, Flip 5, nor S24U. No way to come back to Apple like they are now...
The camera on the s24u is pretty bad ngl. I dont know why the reviewers dont really take pictures in public or moving objects.
Lmao same!
I literally just use the 14 PM for FaceTime and iMessages. That's it.
My Burgundy S22 Ultra is the King hands down without a doubt.
Same with me i use both.
Same! Only thing that ties me to the iPhone is FT and iMessage

My thoughts exactly!
He has over 2.8MM views.
If every reviewer will be this honest. 😊 Good job bro! I'm glad RUclips suggested your channel
Great video Dave and my goodness, you have a great talking voice!

Yup FOLD and FLOP FLOP are way overpriced way too fragile and way too lacking!!! And FLOP FLOP is worse with the cartoon front

You should have got galaxy s24 plus if you wanted smooth edges. It’s very similar to iphone

I also went from the 14Pro to the 15Max and I love the battery and I give it a hard time because I work in the street….
Do it!
A faulty unit maybe?? My 15 pro max still gets 23% even after 2 hours of social media and 5 hours of long session gaming.
@Jaysupawolf the "new iPhone" will be as bland and boring as the current one
Good video, I have the S22Ultra, wife has S24Ultra. Both great phones and the customizations are near limitless, you don't get that with a Iphone.

Bro you look and sound like Xerxes from the movie 300👍
You have incredible voice keep it going 👌

I just looked up Larry Wheels and I'm dying 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@DavidAVelez1 lol you tell me you guys are related and I"d believe it. Good video man.
Just came across your channel and am loving it. As a tech person myself i love your in-depth perspective of review. Good job 👍🏾
Thank you so much, Chibuike! I really, really appreciate that 🥹
It's a lot of work doing these videos and juggling other things and work so co.ments like yours always mean a lot to me 😁

S24U is ABSOLUTELY 💣 😁🔥
@@DavidAVelez1 Tengo también el Zfold5 está bueno pero me gustaría que fuera un poco más Ancho.Me gustan tus Videos 👍🏼 God Bless 🙌🏼
I love my S24Ultra. 256gb12gbRamTitaniumViolet. Awesome phone. Spend the extra cash, and get the Galaxy.
@kaiichinose9590 the iPhone is good, the Galaxy is amazing!
Great video though and I hope to see more comparisons of these phones and others.
split screen is the major thing i miss on ios
Split screen is very useful for me
What's going on?
Responding to you on my ZFold5, actually 💪
As a long time S22U user doing videos and photography, I also wanted to try the iPhone but my concern is the transfer of files from iPhone to a Windows computer.
s24u much better choice for windows, imo, ios closed system with their locked "file system" is nonsense. also, don't forget about dex, ai etc on s24.
I carry two phones. A iPhone and a pixel. Looking to pick up the oneplus open. Both have their strengths and it’s just nice to have options
Great video!!! Plus you got a nice deep voice mate!! Its very nice to hear !🔥🤙🏼
I bought the 24 ultra last week, i love it the screen camera it's all great. I think both phones are amazing each in there own way. Good video with good indept information :)
Iphone is more like Fashion Brand. its like a Known watch with great design but still in the end just a watch, telling you a time.
Meanwhile
Samsung really stand on its name Smartphone, well its also expensive but like watch comparison it can compare to Smartwatch like you can do other thing not only by watching the Time.
The production quality on these vids is insane tbh! Just a pure joy to watch!
Multitasking is amazing when filling out documents online or filling out other info without having to switch back and forth between two apps
Snapdragon X Series will destroy Apple laptops in 2025
But the ecosystem? I have a mbpro n note phone.. Thinking to get iPhone bc of ecosystem?
@MStar10 Dont! Look up videos to workaround it, but iPhones are BORING!! It's a regression!

Thank you for the honest reveiw, much appreciated.
Hi! Thanks for making this! PS what desk chair are you rocking?
Multitasking alone keeps me on the Ultra. The fact Apple doesn't allow this is utter insanity to me, purposely handicapping their device.
Probably because it only has 8 gigs of ram but to not have split screen apps in 2024 is wild. People that swear iphone is the best haven't used a Samsung phone before, they're so biased it's ridiculous
Doesn’t mean anything… 2019 I pads have multi tasking
Wait for the 25 ultra coming out January

IPhone users: BUT YOUR MSGES ARE STILL GREEN
😮💨😒
HAHAHAHA
YES, EXACTLY!
Only a US problem tho, other countries uses WhatsApp.
iPhone users: our phones are leaps and bounds better in security, longevity and software quality.
There I fixed it for you
Lmao literally the only thing that keeps half of their users from switching. They don't wanna be judged by their friends for having green text bubbles 😂 so stupid.
@Danarchy3 leaps and bounds? Lmao.. the majority of android users AND iphone users do not get hacked. Stop being a sheep my boy.
It's funny that when I'm thinking on switching to iPhone bc I have a mac, I only see videos that show that Samsung and pixel devices are ahead of iPhone. Great video!
Background music in your vid is far too loud, it disturbs and distracts when listening to your voice.
From over the pond here just subbed !!! What a great review - honest - impartial- very good 👍 I’ve been an iPhone user since the days of 3 gs and seriously want to get out of the apple ecosystem
It's simple, Iphone works, Android devices give you options that Iphone won't.
Exactly! Not everyone needs the options, but having them is great especially when they work so well
I just had the same experience as you a month ago.
I just can’t adjust to not having iMessage. Sending high quality photos/video. That’s the ONLY thing holding me back.
Lol
It took me years but I finally got my immediate family to switch to WhatsApp. Was worth the trouble.

@@ConnieLitrenta thanks so much for your input. Very useful and helpful.
All in all which OS do you prefer to base yourself on?
And it doesn't hurt that Samsung didn't skimp on features with the s24+ that I own..
Definitely! Great features in the entire lineup!

Also what's the deal with the Galaxy store and the Play store??
Hey David glad to see u a Eagles fan!! #flyeaglesfly
Ok fanboy
Nobody mentions the major deal breaker. The fact that on android keyboard the numbers are on the top so you don't have to swith just to do a number. Also look at the calculator. Say you add a bunch of things together it showes the steps so you can make sure you added everything.
LARRY,
YES!
I complained about this to my family (IPhone users)
In the first two weeks 😂
They said, "You get used to it" and my response was, "Well.... don't you want... the choice? You can make the keyboard just like the Iphone one on Android.... or you can make it like this which makes more practical sense"
They just shrugged 😂🤦🏽♂️
I don’t even know anyone that uses iMessage
When’s the last time you had sex?

Bit for me, the 23U and 24/Galaxy Fold 5 are more true life companions than the IP is.
iPhone is just way too limited compared to android especially for the money Apple is asking. camera is not enough to be a flagship phone.
And it's boring as hell, I barely use mine anymore. Iphone users just don't want to admit that Samsung is better.
