Living in Europe, i use WhatsApp, both on iPhone and Windows Pc so i have all notifications and i can call and send messages whatever on iPhone or my Windows Pc, it's the same.✅
I only use Google Apps and i don't use iCloud neither. I switch constantly between my 2 phones ( thanks Cloud👏🏿👏🏿). Bose QC45 is a multi-connected device so phones and Windows laptop are always connected ( thanks Bluetooth 👍🏿).

I’ve used apple all of my life. Finally decided to get the pixel 8. From what i can tell the only “downside” to switching is the apple commitment to making it as hard as possible for your data to not be easily transferrable across platforms. Apple works well, but only works well with apple. If you can get past this everything else is an upside. Better cost to performance ratio on devices and far more customizability. So tired of being pigeonholed screw apple.

You have so much privacy in android, compared to iPhone it’s embarrasing how terrible iPhone is, they can’t even disable “anonymous diagnostics”

      1) No, on iOS, almost every smaller app I have tested had some ads, while on my Xiaomi 12t, I have not seen an ad since a ling time.
      2) no idea what HW and SW are
      3) This is a myth, Android is actually very safe. If you install a virus, that's your own fault. The reason people think Apple is safer is because they don't allow you to install anything that was not manually approved my them. Quite annoying.
      4) You haven't got privacy on iPhone either. Everyone is spying on you, you just have to choose who you want to have your data
      5) From my experience, Android devices are a lot snappier and more fun to use, especially when you turn down the animation scale in the settings. It makes everything feel very snappy while iOS tries to make everything smooth. Both are fine, I prefer the snappy variant because it gets you somewhere in about half the amount of time. Camera shutter speeds depend on the phone, most Androids have a Fast Motion mode or something similar, and especially the Huawei phones are really impressive in this regard, they can take a clean picture of a spinning DVD without motion blur. It's crazy tech.

How most Apple devices seem to be built and Apple approach to the repairing things is just - "Something is broken? Buy new!" wheres mostly the hardware that is built for non-apple software tends to be more repairable and you can just replace the broken part.

For me Apple has more polished apps and they works flawlessly. Android apps are more hit or miss. When I text my family from any Android phone to their iPhones, the messages, pics, video never show up right. Apple is more conservative, they do things slow but they do it very well. Android is more about getting their first no matter the cost.

I have actually dealt with the opposite. After 12 years of iphone use, I have dealt with thousands of persistent and repetitive app crashes. Knowing that Apple openly slows down the iphones in updates has forced me to stay way from updates completely. The slowdowns have dramatically crippled my ability to do what I want to do on a phone. Speaking of which, you can actually do anything you want to do on Android. The possibilities truly are endless on Android.

That happens because Android to IPhone is old school mms technology which means everything gets compressed. Happens in reverse too. RCS messages are just fine but Apple won't support them

Developers know where the money is; Android fanboys & girls are cheapos want everything for free and don’t want to pay for apps
