The thing is, iPhone users aren’t misinformed about how better Android is. They just don’t care. They don’t consume tech videos because they aren’t passionate about tech. Some people buy iPhones to boost their social status, and to them that is a much more important feature than 90hz or foldable screens. Edit: To the people who are saying "thats not true, I am an iPhone user and care about tech", you are the exception. How do I know that ? Because every year a new iPhone sells more than an Android despite being the same phone, and NO ONE QUESTIONS IT. Because they don't care. They care more about Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson, what their favourite drama RUclipsr did, or what their favourite sports team are upto. They don't care about specs. We are living in hyper consumer culture where people constantly show off their new cars, new houses and new...iPhones. To flex. Do you think the average person is gonna think about specs and 90hz, or are they gonna be blinded by FOMO and a desire to flex back ? You guys telling me "nah, I'm passionate", we are in a tech channel. We are in an echo chamber. We are the exception.
I am an iPhone user and I love watching other vids of other tech and how Android gets many cool features I watch vids like that a lot I have an iPhone I see a lot of vids of creators who say iPhone users don't know a lot about the phone and says it works you can ask them about the camera and they won't know but I'm very informed these is not me arguing just what I know
I’m an iPhone user, I love tech consumption and IT. The issue is my family doesn’t, they don’t know the first thing outside of iMessage and iCloud. So it just makes things easier to share photos from a day trip, keep up to date in the group chat and have our locations with FindMy. If I had the income to daily drive an android and iPhone I absolutely would.
I am an iPhone user and I like watching tech videos and sure, I would love 120 hz, but it’s not like 60hz is an active problem. iPhone isn’t falling behind
I am a hardcore tech enthusiast and even started with Android on the HTC Hero and I still choose the iPhone as my primary because of how well rounded, stable and mature it is.
The most genius thing Samsung ever did was creating the fold and selling it at a premium price, the folding phone isn't the genius aspect but selling it at a premium price ended the discourse the android users were broke, rich people like to show off and Samsung gave them something new to do that with
I feel the main factor why people still buy iPhones is due to the brand itself. iPhones are viewed as a luxury product because Apple is an established brand in the tech industry, and it has its own ecosystem (e.g. iOS)

Meanwhile the Google Pixel is still considered a niche brand in the North American market. Yet while becoming mainstream, most north Americans still talk Apple or Samsung. TO be fair, if Samsung wasn't leading the charge with Android we probably wouldn't be having an Android at all until Google finally broke ground in building their own hardware/software division of building phones. Do note I carry both platforms (Pixel and iPhone) on a day to day basis. I can’t say I’m a fanboy of either but if you’re holding me at gunpoint I prefer iPhone since it syncs well with my desktop.

Had the G6+. Great phone. You are 100% correct. The inconsistencies were ridiculous. I think that's why they called it day in that they realized that they weren't capable of being consistent and that the market wasn't really into being that innovative. Personally, I'm still not sure double screen sizes make sense. You know if they were still around making phones, they'd be all over it. And failing.
@@dlewis9760 I’m from Thailand. In my country, LG had been kicked in the balls since the G4 bootloop, then they scaled down their operation and after G5 flopped so hard, they were gone forever. That’s why we have no V series or later G series or the Wing here.
LG were inconsistent, but they made quality devices that were great. My G7 ThinQ lasted 6 years before I broke the screen and had to upgrade. Many people have similar stories. No slowdowns even after aging and the battery was still decent.
Apple branding is just different levels. Biggest brand image in the world for any industry. They can release a phone that doesn't even charge, people will still buy it.
Really? it's the opposite in the first world. People who like to show off usually have the Ultra, Fold or Pixel Pro XL. iPhones are ubiquitous and everywhere that people just use them and share the content within it.
@@StormDiperLol. I remember iphone users mocking Android users who love rearrange their apps on the home screen a long time ago. The Close All Apps button will be introduced as an innovation in future models.
We don’t need that tho. It costs more resources for the phone to reopen each app than leaving them in the background, for ram management to take care of
I dunno how can you compare the looks of a car to a flipping phone... And even then, every time a new car is released, it's interior is different, it's engine is different, there are a buttload of new features regarding everything they could think of improving. If you even want to compare Apple to a car brand, you should go for BMW - same design, same features, exorbitant prices, planned obsolescence it has all covered 😂
I can understand higher refresh rates, usable file management, more customization, fast charging, etc but I have never understood the "the phone chasis hasn't changed". Why does it need to change? It's a nice and iconic look. This is coming from someone who has used an iPhone here and there but ultimately prefers (high-end) Android phones.
I really like the iPhone’s design, it looks professional, but I HATE the stainless steel on my iPhone 14 Pro. It’s so glossy and has fingerprints all over it even after washing hands.
@@narrativeless404 I agree which is why I liked my previous phone, a OnePlus 7 Pro, so much. I remember when it came out many reviewers were saying the pop-up camera mechanism would fail but in 6 years, it never caused any problem.
As someone who has both a Fold 6 and 15 Pro iPhone. Once you're stuck in Apples ecosystem, it's very hard to get out. FaceTime, iMessages, Airdrop, the ecosystem of apple is 100% easier to use than any Android ecosystem. iPhone just work. It took 3 hours to get my Android setup when on my iPhone there is very little tinkering or setup.
Fake news af, the Apple ecosystem has become more and more frustrating as time goes on. Apple's "safe approach" to simplicity is making their customization even harder to do. Switching to Android back in 2019 was refreshing to me. Setup was a bit complicated, but the customization was out of the world, to me at least. I now understand why most Android users claimed that they disliked the Apple ecosystem a lot. Although, most who hated iPhones are generally ones that bark at the wrong tree. I, myself, never hated iPhone's hardware, just their software iOS that I've developed a personal hatred for. It seems that the lack of the "Back Button" would drive Android users crazy. And I didn't believe it myself until I tried it with my first Android phone, and I can't look back at iOS the same way anymore. The back button is literally a requirement for easy navigation. Who could've thought that one single feature could make a difference in people's favors. If there's anyone that's too blissfully ignorant, it's iPhone users. They're missing a whole lot of things Android users are already experiencing.
Nobody uses imessage and facetime outside of the US bro and it doesn't even take that long to set up your android phone. Just a few minutes is enough, and you're good to go.
Being an iPhone user since the first release I have recently left their ecosystem for android and it’s so much better in many ways. Apples innovation has fall so far behind
Damn how did you manage to enjoy the original iphone??? I remember that thing and it was garbage. It couldn't keep a connection to the networks to save it's life.
I think it's because the iPhone was known for supposedly having a good camera and taking some of the best pictures, and taking pictures with the size of social media is important 😶
Good image quality, are you insane, whoever said that must some sort of people try to color grade their image in jpeg instead of raw or whoever people wearing Velcro shoes on their feet, low quality image of that smartphone because of shitty image processing they have by overshapening it and idiots still say it's much better than, damn even my decade old a6000 with stock lens still better than any smartphones with good camera, learn some photography god🤦
iphone has had the worst pictures out there. Sure Samsung colors are turned to max that it doesn't look natural, but iphones white wash out everything that it looks so ugly.
As a user of both platforms, It’s funny to see the statement “Apple is falling behind in hardware and software design” when just this year alone Google’s Pixel 9 lineup’s updated design looks eerily similar to the iPhone’s design while One Ui 7’s beta is clearly showing its iOS inspirations. Stagnant, “samey”, “not innovative enough” or not, the iPhone remains the benchmark for the Smartphone industry. Just look at all the Chinese OEM’s UIs: Colors OS , Hyper OS, Origin OS, Funtouch OS etc, - it’s easy to see where the base inspiration originates from. Heck I freaking love my X200 Pro (my personal phone of the year) but I can’t deny that it’s camera app is a copy paste job of the iPhone camera UI just with added features 😅
He didn't say that apple is falling behind in software, he said it's falling behind in hardware, customization and AI features Yes AI and customization are part of software but software isn't all about those In other aspects of software Apple's better
@@doboy930its falling behind in innovation. And the software is unlike back then, the implementation of new features is not the best or not as refined (inconsistency on back gesture for example). Which is the thing that make apple, apple.
@ but once again these are not things that the average iPhone user cares about. So if your average customer doesn’t care about it is it really falling behind?? I switched from android to iPhone in 2017 and the back button thing is not an issue for me and it’s not an issue for most ppl. So falling behind in something like software is opinion based not factual
I think one big problem here that's being ignored is the fact that most people buying Android phones too are not buying those $200 phones. I've gone between iOS and Android over the years and, if it's Android, it's going to be a Samsung, or a Pixel. Other flagship brands sure, but these phones are more or less $1000 class phones just the same. One thing I think is massively important that has not been considered by the Android crowd is longevity of support. iOS updates are more or less pushed to any iPhone model from the last 6 years or so whereas Android end-of-life was often encroaching at 2.5 to 3 years or so. Quality of life points like that are definitely a strong point of iOS and, while Google did make new promises for 7 years of guaranteed updates, I'd sooner wait and see after another 1-2 years to get an idea of how much they really commit to that, given how much they've backtracked and reneged on prior promises (e.g. Android automatic upgrade program cancelled within months of first update cycle).
@@cieslosky Most mid-range Android devices get 2-3 years of support. Promises made by Google of "7 years of support" amount to nothing, evidenced by Google's notorious graveyard of products and failed promises. Every iPhone I've had since 2013 has had minimally 6 consistent years of support while my OnePlus halted at 3, and Samsung at 4. If you want 120hz displays on your phone, that fine. Many people choose iPhones for longevity, battery life, simplicity, and the environment. - Customization doesn't mean anything to someone that just wants their phone to work. I went the whole customization route when I first started out on OnePlus, and it got old real quick. 10 months down the line, your system will be more or less the same unless that customization and constant change is your top priority. - Simplicity is another important factor when considering a phone. Android phones can be simple but a side effect of the openness of their system are also weaknesses like a liability to malware via unsigned/untrusted APKs and a fully exposed filesystem. You or I might have the due diligence to find avoiding issues obvious but many users not invested in tech don't want to accept such liabilities and would rather them be abstracted out on their phones. - Battery life and efficiency is a complex battle but one that Apple's had more swings than misses compared to the flagships of Android. Raw mAh is important, but unfortunately the Android operating system operates on a ton of virtualization, which leads to far less performance per watt, requiring bigger batteries to achieve similar battery life as iOS. Part of this is also due to the closed system and Apple only needing to account for maybe 20 or so iPhone configurations. 120hz screens are fine but it depends on the customer. I dual a 144hz side and 160hz main monitor for my gaming PC which is non-negotiable in my setup, but even I'd rather switch to 60hz on my iPhone pro on low power mode to get additional battery life over needing the snappiness of 120hz at all times. You could do well to consider that 120hz vs 60hz isn't a make-or-break for a large amount of people, even many of my less technical family abroad that use more Android phones don't actually know their phone's refresh rate.
Actually Android end of life was the same as iphones. While Samsung stated it was only 3 years, they always extended them to around 5 for pretty much every model. Now we get 7 years, so longevity is already beating Apple's.
@@ruseruser2227 That's cap for Samsung. I've always gotten minimum of 5 years support. As far as Google's graveyard of products, none of them are the Pixel phones. Far as the make or break for people on the 60hz to 120hz? Bro that's just ignorance. The regality is iphone users are safe space babies. And the mantra of "it just works" is just a blanket statement from their marketing brain washing. Fact of the matter is, it's a basic device, for basic people who want to be completely closed off from reality.
@@hobbitpsi Android announced 7 years but statements mean nothing until 7 years down the line when these updates continue. Google also introduced Pixel Pass to allow users to pay monthly instead of per device and get automatically upgraded after 2 years and they canned the project just shy of the 2 year deadline, leaving many users frustrated. Like I said, promises mean nothing until they follow through. People on Android want: - Tech on on the forefront of the market (e.g. if there's a new type of camera sensor, chances are there will be a brand and Android support for it) - An open system that they see as a mini PC. A fully exposed filesystem, the ability to directly install APKs, even run scripts, etc. People on iPhone want: - Tech that has been ironed out and run through the paces (e.g. touchprint sensor came years later to iPhone but didn't deal with the issues faced years prior with Android's earlier adoption) - A closed system that they see as a phone and not a PC. The file system is abstracted and still allows file management but the goal is not for playing with experimental IPAs like the Android APK ecosystem. Are there people buying cheaper phones like the Samsung A15? Sure. There are also a massive amount of iPhone users that buy $400 iPhone SEs and the most sold iPhone last year was the $700 base model iPhone 15. The belief that the average iPhone user is shoveling off 1300 dollars (or equivalent in other currencies) is disproved by the sales, most iPhone users have sense and either buy 1 generation back or buy a new phone at a slower cycle. There's no shame in wishing to save a buck in the phone department. Many Android users buy the $1000+ Galaxy's just like those that buy the Apple Pro Max's while many more on both sides prefer to save the money and opt for a Samsung A15 or an iPhone 15 (or SE). I've been on both platforms and the people that clown one or the other are usually the ones that never use both and simply want to lord over each other based only on what they view as important to others, often using dated beliefs that were once true in the early 2010s, but have now faded from reality to pure ideological fodder between two entrenched product fanbases.

@@chydolimit Obviosuly, I am not advocating for them changing it I am just pointing out the incredible irony in people trying to shame Apple for keeping a near perfect design, while other companies have done for nearly the same amount of time.
@@jacobcfx The truth of it all is Apple users cannot handle change. I've had this discussion recently with a lot of Apply users. They do not like change, because they know that the moment Apple makes changes, like let's take iOS 18 for instance, it comes with instability and bugs. Majority of Apple users, as stated in the video, want to stay safe, which in life isn't a good way to live. Change is a natural way of life and even more so in the tech world. And it's a proven fact that any company that stays stagnant will lose customer base. Which for Apple has already started to show if you look at the loss they took in 2024.
@@hobbitpsi If that's the case why has the design of several android companies stayed the same? Apple are not completely stangnant with what they are doing either, but that's not the point. You seem to be talking innovation of features, I am talking physical design, which if it stays the same for a while is not a bad thing. A perfected design (such as the 16 Pros being perfected forms of the 11 Pros) is better than creating several gimmicky ugly designs to keep this idea of "new".
IPhone and Android user here. Switched my main phone from Android to iOS 3 years ago when i bought 13 Pro, now on 16 Pro Max. Consistency and ecosystem. I might have less functionality and less gimmicks compared to Android but i know everything will work perfectly between my iPhone, 2 iPads, one Apple Watch and one Macbook. Thanks Microsoft for ruining Windows BTW. Also with Apple device you will get in time updates at least 5 years. But agree with low end devices. You will get a better experience with a device like OnePlus Nord 4.
Exactly this! It’s consistent and reliable and the ecosystem has added alot of productivity in my life. During my teens and early twenties, i did enjoy the flashy gimmicks that android has to offer. But now? Apple is so good for my professional and personal life and keeping everything managed!
@@GamingPIPI around 10 years ago i was flashing a new ROM on my Android on a daily basis. Now i don’t even change my wallpaper so often. My homescreen looks 90% how it was looking 6 years ago on my LG G6. My personal story it’s like that. Main Android user, Xiaomi, LG G6, then a second phone was needed so i bought an iPhone SE second hand, then upgraded to OnePlus 7 Pro, my second phone in use today. I was impressed by SE getting updates even after 4 years. Meanwhile on the tablets hated Samsung because bad experience with Touchwiz so i bought my first iPad, Mini 6 and that slowly got me in the ecosystem. Not going to lie, i liked 13 Pro design a lot so made the switch. Around 3 years ago got myself a 12.9 M1 iPad Pro and somehow i get a free Samsung S9 Ultra last year with a TV promotion. Somehow 5 years iPad it’s superior compared to 4 years newer similar priced Samsung tablet and the whole experience it’s ruined by Samsung software like 10 years ago, amazing screen but pretty much that’s it. I might install a new ROM on it at some stage. So my migration to iOS/iPadOS/Apple devices in general wasn’t an uninformed decision like some people said in the comments. Was more like an maturity and settling of myself. Back to my OnePlus 7 Pro that’s in use today as second phone it still holds up but that’s because of the community. Amazing hardware neglected by the manufacturer, pretty much the same story with most of the Android brands. You can DIY but with trade offs like bricking your device, loosing features like banking apps, bugs, etc. Damn that was a long comment. 😂
@ Same for me! I’ve had so many android phones and testing out the features was fun. But now I change my wallpaper maybe once or twice a year. The only times I change things up is for productivity. I made shortcuts, I made a system for my calendar, notes and reminders… I also have the full ecosystem! Slowly I added devices to my household. It just works so great for my productivity. Ipad Pro is my newest device, and it’s amazing. I use it for media consumption and reading and annotating literature for my job. It’s just such a great experience. Android may offer some of the same features, but it is definately not as userfriendly and it’s a hassle to set it all up. Apple products work together straight out of the box. Many people just don’t understand how great this is. And the best part is that now that im older i probably wont feel the need to be upgrading every year. So now that my productivity system has settled, im good for year to come. Most of my devices will be supported until 2030 and beyond. Although I may buy a new iPad and watch somewhere before 2030.

Before switching to a Macbook i always had a dual boot Windows and some linux distro, usually LinuxMint or Ubuntu. @letsdoodlesomethinghome3404 Apple Intelligence wasn't the only thing. Their wireless charging was pretty shit when it came out. Still is, to be honest, but magsafe makes it on par with the industry.
Why do people still buy iPhone? Three main reasons: 1. They're lured by the cachet of owning an iPhone. There is no cachet in owning a Samsung or Pixel phone. 2. They like the cohesive ecosystem (Mac, iPad, iPhone, Watch, AirPod, etc.). 3. They like the Apple Store and Customer Service. These make for a great shopping experience. They don't need nor care about the latest bells and whistles. The iPhone provides the same basic functions they've enjoyed for over a decade (calling, texting, email, web surfing, music listening, watching videos, running apps, taking pictures/videos). The iPhone has performed these functions satisfactorily since forever. If you didn't have an issue with 60Hz in the iPhone X in 2017, why would you have an issue today? For most iPhone users, this is not an issue.
True, I have an iPhone 13. I love how it's boring, has less distractions , it works well too. Boring can be good . I also own an all bells and whistles android, which is great too . 60hz doesn't bother me
It's an issue because android devices are offering far better displays at almost a third of the price and everything you listed about Iphones being simple literally applies to most android devices lol
One thing that piss me off about Chinese brands is that they rely on the fast charger to cover up less-than-desired battery times and the bad battery optimization of their Android skins. iPhone 16 Pro Max battery lasts almost 2 days. Good luck achieving that with anything lower than 6000 mah battery on an Android.

@@Codyslx I can't imagine why anyone would pay the price for an iphone that should realistically due to hardware and software that's equivalent to a $400 phone lol
Except the first iphone was crap. I remember it. Aside from paying for both an AT&T plan, you also had to pay for an Apple plan and even then the phone couldn't stay connected to the network and also caused the network to crash constantly.
As someone who used to have an Android (Samsung) and now uses an iPhone, I must say the main reason I stick with the iPhone is its user-friendly interface and simple design, even down to the font. The smoothness of iOS is superb. I can easily switch from an app to the camera without hassle. While Android is great and offers many features, it also comes with a lot of unnecessary elements that take time to figure out. iOS stands out for its smooth user experience (UX) and straightforward, minimalistic user interface (UI).
Back when Androids had removable batteries and swappable SD Ram cards you couldn't get me to use an iPhone, but now that I can no longer swap out the battery on an Android or easily swap or add SD Ram there is no longer any reason to use an Android other than the price. The fact that iPhone do not come with all this uninstallable 3rd party bloatware that varies from manufacturer to manufacturer is why I switched to using iPhones. I don't need to reconfigure a phone every time I get a new one, I just turn it on and use it.
um bro hate to break it to you, but you see all those apps on your iphone that's Apple this or Apple that? Yeh bro that's called bloatware. A true non bloatware device just gives you the basic apps (phone, texts, Voice mail etc.) and that's all. Every phone has bloatware.
I always turn off any kind of ai assistants and whatever else in my phone. I have 0 clue why tech companies chase ai, literally nobody uses that. If you want to get help from ai you use dedicated services for that.
Oh really.. Hark, a curious request doth arrive, a playful twist upon the tongue of old. Pray tell, what merriment dost thou seek, with words of yore in whimsical array? Alas, my skills in this ancient art are yet untried, but I applaud thy quest for mirthful, bygone days... I can use it to write an essay or anything I want.
I don't like iPhones because the OS is too crippled, but the 120hz "problem" isn't a problem at all. My Sony can do 120hz but it means taking a 20% hit to battery life. Since I didn't buy my phone to play competitive shooter games, I'm fine with 60hz.
120hz is just stupid to have on a phone or any device. All my devices at home can do 120hz, exluding 144hz on tablet, 165hz on my G sync monitor, but I don't use anything besides 75hz, because it's pointless to use. But then again it's nice to have this option and other phone companies adding it just reinforces that option as being great to have, even if the user will never use it.
The huge issue isn’t that it isn’t a problem to you. The issue is Apple is selling an 800 dollar phone with only 60 hz, when for the same price, literally every other phone would have had 120-144hz.
@@chargedx5768It actually does make a huge difference regardless. It overall feels much smoother when you have 120 hz, whether is gaming, or just simply even scrolling.

One of the things that keep bringing me back to iPhone is how beautiful, sharp, and crisp the screen is. When you compare the text and overall look of the screen, no phone comes close. It' very pleasant on the eyes. If you can, put android phone next to an iphone and open up the messaging app or any other app and look how sharp the iphone looks compared to the android. Turned out it charges 6 times slower than a old Huawei phone and a list of other downgrades vs Huawei. On top of it the battery is barely better than a 5+ year overused Huawei battery. Phones are cheaper made now than they were 6 years ago for the same price as 6 years ago.
Let's break down a few key points: 1. 60 Hz One one side: yes, why does a $800 dollar phone have 60 Hz, what the heck Apple! But if you look at another perspective: 60 Hz? Thank goodness the iPhone costs $800 instead of $850. I don't think is a big deal, I've had a 120 Hz Android before and when I switched back to an iPhone 12 mini, I did feel a difference but it's very easy to get used to and after a while you just don't care. 2. Lightning Port Now, Apple did this to make a lot of money, and thankfully this horrible lightning port is gone now. However, this video is about "Apple falling behind" and USB-C is certainly not "falling behind". Why is this included? 3. Notch/Dynamic Island This is hard to say because Face ID on iPhone's are the best out there on the market and the most secure, and this notch was required to get all the modules in place. Now, we have a smaller notch that is actually functional (called the Dynamic Island), so on this key point Apple definitely has an advantage over Android. 4. Apple is always late Quality over quanity. That's all it is. I've had several Androids before from all price ranges and a lot of the features feel rushed out. 5. iPhone's are boring Now, I don't know why this is even a "valid point". Because a phone originated from being a way to send and receive texts and call. So obviously if a phone does this correctly, then it is a good phone. On another side, phones can be fun, but Apple doesn't create toys, but reliable devices to make your daily life better. I've had several Android's before and always bragged to everyone: "Haha, my Android can add special animations to my lockscreen!" and stuff like that. But I just never ended up using any of these features. It's cool, but only the first few times you try it.
I have a friend who use Iphone and he urges me to change to iphone, i told him "no". he gave a puzzled look and like asked why. I using Samsung and i am happy due to good cameras and battery life. He smirk and move on. Weeks later, he kept asking me for a portable battery, i was like "whyyy?" He said his iphone ran out of battery, i hand over my portable battery and said "That strange, my samsung left like 50 percent despite using whole day. And rarely use my portable charger, how lucky i didn't get iphone. lol" he gone speechless
I have a pro max 16 and the battery is easy 2 days and I run a restaurant and cafe plus social media for 2 businesses. It's untouchable... but I could care less what anyone wants to believe. I took my phone off the charger at 4:40am and at 12:54pm it's at 85% after heavy usage. What else do you even need...
@HesseBlanco that's great, I think he was using iPhone 13 pro backed then. Wat I trying to say is that. What the video is also trying to say. Apple has been doing same stuff over again, and people will still buy it and giving peer pressure to follow their "trend" or felt like a cult sometime, even my sister and my nephew and nieces, they are dying fan of apple. I used iPhone in the past, sure the UI is great but syncing to my PC is a pretty bad and constant asking me for username and password is super annoying, which is why I change to Android and felt I can do alot of things. But I think apple fixed that but still i doesnt want to change back. I love photography and videos especially i love to zoom in particular subject with compromising much clarity, i attend meetings and concerts so I need those stuff. I did my research, apparently iPhone is still not my choice as other phone like Vivo X200 camera are advance somehow.
please explain to me how the iPhone video was so good, including stabilization and behavior in low light. It is still the case that you can take photos with an Android phone, but none of these phones records such a smooth and pleasantly stable video. When it comes to such photos and videos, iPhone usually offers good and controlled photo quality and very good video quality. It is still one of the few phones that can record 4k/50/60 fps and switch between lenses.
When the first iPhone came out we already had multiple touchscreen based phones running Windows Mobile. Nokia's were out there but the iPhone was also a refinement of what was already being made even then. Windows Mobile was essentially a reskinned version of WinCE that wasn't optimized for touch and it was clunky. Each phone maker built their own skins over it to make it somewhat usable. The first iPhone streamlined the whole thing and didn't even support 3G even though all those other phones actually did. The didn't even pioneer capacitive touch. A bunch of phones already had that before the iPhone was even out.
I have a S21, this is silly. If you are in the Mac ecosystem, you most likely stay in it with watches, tablets and phones. They are used to the way the things run, nothing wrong with that.
I was an avid iPhone user between 2016 and late 2023, I decided to give Android a shot as I didn’t want to support Apple rereleasing the same device every year. I switched 3 Android phones in 1 year, S23 Plus, Pixel 8 Pro and Flip Z 6 and oh boy where do I start. All of these phones were “fine”, but they ridiculously make simple things harder. I despise the volume sliders on Android as I seriously do not need 5 volume sliders, just give me media and the possibility of muting notifications. The fact that my girlfriend’s 15 Pro Max would connect to Android accessories easier than me was just sad. You have to adjust 5 adaptive options in the Pixel to stop it from nuking your battery. Fingerprint sensors are ok (I had optical, supersonic and physical), but in no way can they compare to face ID. Android having “better customisation” possibilities is just a straight up lie. No lock screen widgets, changing individual icons requires adridden third party apps and launchers and don’t get me started on tinted icons that don’t apply to half of your apps. Samsung was better than Pixel as Pixel was just a straight up mess. Horrible cameras, unnatural menus and settings. My Pixel had issues updatint to Android 15 as it would get stuck on verifying data. People on the internet claimed that was normal… Why would that be normal? I had to do a clean install afterwards cause no alternative update options could just update my device without wiping it. Both Samsung and Pixel are horrible when it comes to autofilling verification codes. Samsung has an identity crysis in offering either their services or google services and at some point you don’t even know anymore where you data is saved. So I just recently switched back to iPhone 16 Plus and life became that much easier. Am I a fan of Apple being lazy? No, but if I am paying a premium device, I want it to WORK FLAWLESSLY. The resell value of android flagships is laughable. No way I’m paying ever 800 - 1000 EUR again for a phone that sells for 300 EUR a year later.
Brodie did not actually try customising very hard 💀 lock screen widgets are something you can get from like 45 different apps. And yeah, you need apps and icon packs from the app store to get better customization. Something apple does not offer at all 🤧. Sounds like you got unlucky, I went from an a13 to an a34 to an s24u and have never had those issues. Personally my phones have always worked flawlessly, especially the s24u I have never seen it lag ever. Stuff like customising home screen, and modes and s pen and 45w charging and better batteries matter more to me than a simple ui with no options for personalising my phone should I actually want them. And I think you've done alot wrong when using it somehow, my buds pair seamlessly and none of the UI besides the settings app is complicated or excessive.
But I need these 1000 volume sliders, and other flexible things. I don't want to buy something that's so fixed. I didn't use any iPhone but I am very familiar with MacBooks. And this OS sucks
Hi Cyber Security here. Fingerprint sensors is and will always be better than any facial recognition software/hardware. So can they compare? No they can't as Face Id is less secure. Now as far as the volume sliders go, You don't have to do each individual volume slider, that's only if you want each thing to have a different volume. Just slide them all to the same spot and then your volume buttons work the same as any phone including iphone. All your complaints are a typical iphone fan boy tbh who is so sucked into apple's lies it's hilarious. All those problems you got? Yeh never had any of those problems. Iphone's cameras being better? Sure if you like washed out photos where the white balance is turned up too high. Autofilling verification codes? Not secure at all. Samsung identity crisis? I'll give you that one, Samsung wants users to use Samsung stuff even though majority if android users will use Google because well Google is better. Far as where you data is being saved? On both if you're signed in to both Samsung and to Google. Same way if you're signed into Google on an iphone which a lot of iphones user also do.
I think I want to point out another reason Iphone 16's sales got rekt: They are not allowed to sell it in Indonesia, the 4th most populated country in the world. Yes you can get it here via 3rd party importer but you have to pay for the import taxes plus registration fee which almost doubles the price.
@ It's not. Apple's Pro Motion is far more advanced. Samsung's is also variable to a small degree but apple's is much more precise. It goes from 1 to 120hz on iPhone 14 Pro or newer and 10 to 120hz on 13 Pro
That difference is that samsung and all the other android brands have been smashing the iphones in terms of specs for many years now, sometimes at even cheaper prices
@@faythang2513 How exactly? The iPhone performs just as well if not better than any flagship you can throw at it, higher numbers don’t mean anything when your OS isn’t optimized

As an Apple user, it comes down to preference. My iPhone 15 pro dies everything I need it to, and I love how iOS feels. Phones don’t need to be upgraded every year, and when we see phones these days, they look similar to the one before. The S22-S24 ultras look literally exactly the same. At the end of the day use what you want, and that’s all that matters.
You must be new to smartphones because his whole point is that it never used to be this stagnant for apple and that android companies have been the ones pushing the needle for smartphone innovation. And also IPhones have looked the exact same since the Iphone 11 specifically the pro models and the honestly for the base model you could back as far as the iPhone X
If I choose iPhone it’s my personal choice I have my own reasons just like if you buy a galaxy or an oppo or Sony it’s the phone you chose. This whole mines better than yours nonsense really needs to stop are we in kindergarten….
If there's one thing Apple does right though is that they still have a cohesive looking experience. With Android they have better hardware and everything these days but they have one of the least cohesive looking softwares. Android 12 was a step in the right direction but it's been years now and applications still don't all look like they have been designed for the operating system. With Apple though all their apps follow the same design language.
i kinda like how face id is, not everyone can open my phone, and even if i am asleep. my friends tend to open my samsung s22 because i am a hard sleeper, i dont wake up easily, they could just use my fingers to open my phone and post funny stuffs on my instagram or facebook lol
There’s still this perception that all Android smartphones are cheaper than the average iPhone. I think it would be helpful for companies like Samsung or other Android manufacturers to clearly distinguish between their budget and premium models. When the average person sees an S24, they often can’t tell whether it’s the budget version or the premium model. Obviously this stems from ignorance on their part, but it is slightly understandable.
In my opinion what Samsung and everybody else did wrong is to give their phone much longer support. In Germany where I live, there were different Smartphone Users like Samsung User, iPhone user or even Windows Phone User. But besides the fact that iPhone are sadly a status product, their luckily also known for their long support. I remember Samsungs only being supported for 2 years and then only Safety Updates. I had 3 different Samsung Phones. The S4,S6 and S9. Every single Phone sometimes frustrated me how laggy and buggy it was. After 2 Years my Samsung Phone was way too laggy and thats why I decided to try a complete different product which was the iPhone. Now I have the iPhone for 4 Years and Im not rly thinking about buying a new one and its still getting new iOS updates. Even the XS jü(a Phone from I think 2018) got iOS 18. Just now where everyone is slowly moving to iPhone and Apple Products in general, Samsung, Google and everyone else just started extending their support on their devices for much more years than before. Right now Apple convinced me so much with their products and stability, that I really integrated in their ecosystem. But still its very important that Apple gets strong rivals so they dont sleep in their innovations. I mean the iPhone 16 was really a joke and if this is not getting better, then I cant support this company anymore.
I consider it as Apple is able to do with 6/8 gigs of ram and 60 hertz displays what android phones need 90-120 hertz displays and 12/16 gigs of ram to do, I always considered it better engineering. For example, the iPhone 16 plus has 8 gigs of ram, 60 hertz displays, and 48 megapixel cameras and its still faster, can keep more apps open and do more in the background, and has better cameras than the s24 Ultra with 12 gigs of ram, 120 hertz displays, and 200 megapixel cameras.
@@FATHOLLYWOODB123everything. Lol. Even my second phone ( nothing phone 2a are more smooth than a iPhone 16 plus ) that don't means nothing it's more powerful.. but just more animations smooth. But if I try to play genshin I can forget. The chip don't handle. But animations its very smooth.
@FATHOLLYWOODB123 That Apples 6GB ram is comparable to other fast 8GB/12GB RAM and that Apples "magic display" 60hz is the same as 90 and 120hz. But if you want to lie to yourself then you can do that I don't have time for smt like this. Apples LCD also is better than others OLED displays huh?
Funny thing about most comments here is that it's rare to find an Android user who owns the latest Android device whine about an iPhone or how dumb their customers are... because they've recently been to the store and checked what's new and chose what they preferred. It's like how people with normal speced PCs will go around saying: "Gaming on a PC is better than on a Console", while knowing very well that their PC is not the one they are referring to because they can't run the latest games. After 8years on the Apple ecosystem, I can tell you that Apple sells practicality and convenience, that's why a lot of RUclipsrs use Macs for video editing or even why big companies that runs heavy software are using Macs. I really enjoy my A55 5G along with the Galaxy Watch 6 but if you thought everyone who owns an iPhone has been "brainwashed", think harder because, for one, Macs do not get viruses, unlike Windows PCs and that alone is enough to get someone to buy an iPhone and an iPad as well just to make their life easier.
Saying Macs can't get a virus is insane. It's still a computer that can be attacked by malware. Large businesses also use Windows. Matter of fact it's easier to have Windows since it's less expensive to license and infinitely easier to repair.
@@SuperSteph5 it is a computer after... anything can happen but there's a difference between your computer being attacked because you clicked a link from an unknown source and your PC getting a blue screen of death for absolutely nothing you did. Windows PC costs do look cheaper but they are not, Windows PCs requires constant maintenance, repair and upgrade, while on the other hand, Macs don't, unless if it due to negligence. I know people who uses M1 Macbooks who are still getting better performance than most people who are using something that was released this year. Of course, there might be few reported cases of "infection", but you know very well, that Macs are solid... we can argue this the whole day, but businesses are definitely getting value for money
@@Tom_Nguyen. doing a factory reset just because a relative went out of their way to install something that was never meant to be on the Mac does not make Macs fragile. Ways a Mac can be broken are always due to user's actions, like phishing attacks where someone clicked a link they were not supposed to or adware. Windows PC just get a blue screen from just sitting idle for a month or slow, they get annoyingly slow week after week until you reboot or do a cleanup, there's just a lot of things that goes wrong on a WIndows PC for absolutely no reason or action taken by the owner. Your relative's reset are an exception, not the rule. If you know PCs as well as you think you do, you should know that. After all, there's a reason why Apple does not sell operating systems, the way Microsoft do... because you won't need to have to manually fix a broken software, unless you weren't out of your way to break something.
I don’t view iPhone as a “luxury item that boosts one’s self image”. Maybe it was the case many years ago. To me, it’s just a phone that I can pick up and it works really well. And I know it’s not spying on me (or as much as android phones do). The Mail app is so much better than the Gmail app that comes with android phones. I can see the text. And I don’t care about the refresh rate. I have had every Note Ultra until 20 and some S series after that. None of them work, in a sense that they don’t feel “finished”. They are half baked, and need to be taken back and re-done.
Just switched to a Google Pixel after 10 years on Apple, and I'm never going back. The planned obsolesce on iPhones is out of hand. They can't entice people to buy new ones anymore, so they're forcing users to upgrade with lag, stutter and charging tricks.
Apple has built a great ecosystem with quality software and hardware. Despite falling behind on creative designs, their phones are usually better built than most android phones out there. That can be seen yearly when people compare their benchmarks against other phones. Honestly, I think it’s the friendly ecosystem and deans less integration that keeps most people still glued to Apple.
Absolutely! Not to mention the value-added services. Apple TV offers some fantastic content, and Apple Music delivers superior sound quality compared to Spotify, thanks to its spatial audio feature. iPhone users enjoy an integrated experience that extends beyond their devices, a level of cohesion that Android lacks
This! It’s mostly teens and adolescents that get excited about gimmicky phones. iPhone is just extremely reliable. It would be a mistake to follow the Android philosophy

Me personally, the reason why I like to choose iPhone over Android is due to how they look, and how it work so SIMPLE and EASY. Androids are pretty GOOD due to their freedom of choice, but I just can’t switch back to Android primarily due to how EASY and BEAUTIFUL the iPhones are. Honestly, they are BOTH wonderful devices, and people have different tastes. If you into Apple, then choose Apple. If you into Android, then choose Android. At the end of the day, it all does the same basic needs.
iPhones are inconvenient brand status, the fact that they're behind in tech innovations (just recently introduced type-c and no bypass charging) is the reason why iPhones are restricted only by the corpos.
iPhone user here. I am full in the apple ecosystem, yet I don’t consider myself a fanboy, I just like the integration of devices, the beautiful and useful, yet intuitive UI and the fact that their devices not only “just works”, but also their devices are made of premium materials, ensuring durability for years to come, unlike other brands that use cheap plastic unless you of course pay premium price, which is the same apple and android do. I do have the critics thinking to recognize when apple mess up or do unhinged tactics to manipulate the market or implementing features already available on competitors. They are not the first to innkovate in that regard, but when they implement it, they do it really well (well… not always, but at least most of the time). I enjoyed this video, not sure why some dudes on the comments take it too personally 🤷🏻♂️
I also can’t hear somebody complain about the notch when androids barely even have functioning face id, like yeah you have a punch out but you can’t use your phone when it’s dark 💀
Because people is trying to add themselves some worth that they cannot otherwise, so getting iphone makes them think they are not like everyone else, but they are
As someone who uses both iPhone and Android. It’s interesting how the iPhone vs Android debate is such a big deal in North America. while in most of the world people just pick what fits their needs and move on. The ‘war’ is more regional than global 😮💨
To flex.
Not really I had iPhone 11, 13, 15 pro max I decided to switch back to android because it was crap anyways and a scummy company

@@floating_diffusionwhy do people keep thinking Samsung innovates? They're nowhere close to Chinese phones
I swear Samsung is messing around when they put a 200MP on a main lens instead of a telephoto lens like vivo X200 Pro / X100 Ultra.
Most people are buying 300-400 USD phones from Samsung/Nothing these phones have 120hz AMOLED displays with 5 years of update support
People on Android want:
- Tech on on the forefront of the market (e.g. if there's a new type of camera sensor, chances are there will be a brand and Android support for it)
- An open system that they see as a mini PC. A fully exposed filesystem, the ability to directly install APKs, even run scripts, etc.
People on iPhone want:
- Tech that has been ironed out and run through the paces (e.g. touchprint sensor came years later to iPhone but didn't deal with the issues faced years prior with Android's earlier adoption)
- A closed system that they see as a phone and not a PC.

@@jacobcfx The truth of it all is Apple users cannot handle change. I've had this discussion recently with a lot of Apply users. Majority of Apple users, as stated in the video, want to stay safe, which in life isn't a good way to live. Change is a natural way of life and even more so in the tech world.

AI is another one of those things that I never asked for and never wanted ... as if I needed any more baggage to drain my battery faster.
Oh really.. Hark, a curious request doth arrive, a playful twist upon the tongue of old. Pray tell, what merriment dost thou seek, with words of yore in whimsical array? Such a task requires a bard's deft hand, to weave a tapestry of ancient glee. Mayhap a jest of knights and dragons bold, or a tale of mischievous pixies in the wold? Alas, my skills in this ancient art are yet untried, but I applaud thy quest for mirthful, bygone days...

Which part of a phone do you want to look less boring? The way the cameras are arranged on the back?
I don't like iPhones because the OS is too crippled, but the 120hz "problem" isn't a problem at all. My Sony can do 120hz but it means taking a 20% hit to battery life. Since I didn't buy my phone to play competitive shooter games, I'm fine with 60hz.
120hz is just stupid to have on a phone or any device. All my devices at home can do 120hz, exluding 144hz on tablet, 165hz on my G sync monitor, but I don't use anything besides 75hz, because it's pointless to use. But then again it's nice to have this option and other phone companies adding it just reinforces that option as being great to have, even if the user will never use it.
not only that but MAJORITY of people only use their phones for social media...if you are not gaming on your phone then you do not care about fps

Apple locks in their users with the ecosystem/macbook/Apple TV/subscriptions, etc....making really hard to get out.
Also, iPhones just stick with 8 gig ram for a decade. Come on, Apple, we need higher specs 😗

thanks bro!
I used a Huawei P30 Pro for 5 1/2 years, because nothing happened in the phone industry the last years in general besides flip phones.
I were stupid enough to buy a Google Pixel 8a phone recently. Turned out it charges 6 times slower than a old Huawei phone and a list of other downgrades vs Huawei. On top of it the battery is barely better than a 5+ year overused Huawei battery. Phones are cheaper made now than they were 6 years ago for the same price as 6 years ago.
Let's break down a few key points:
1. 60 Hz
One one side: yes, why does a $800 dollar phone have 60 Hz, what the heck Apple!
2. Lightning Port
Now, Apple did this to make a lot of money, and thankfully this horrible lightning port is gone now. However, this video is about "Apple falling behind" and USB-C is certainly not "falling behind". Why is this included?
3. Notch/Dynamic Island
This is hard to say because Face ID on iPhone's are the best out there on the market and the most secure, and this notch was required to get all the modules in place. Now, we have a smaller notch that is actually functional (called the Dynamic Island), so on this key point Apple definitely has an advantage over Android.
4. Apple is always late
Quality over quanity. That's all it is. I've had several Androids before from all price ranges and a lot of the features feel rushed out.
5. iPhone's are boring
Now, I don't know why this is even a "valid point".

Exactly how I think. Plus excellent eco system.
Pro Motion isn't just 120hz. It's a variable refresh rate technology. You simplified what it is, just like everything else
Yes basically the same thing as a cheap 200$ samsung does.
@ It's not. Apple's Pro Motion is far more advanced. Samsung's is also variable to a small degree but apple's is much more precise. It goes from 1 to 120hz on iPhone 14 Pro or newer and 10 to 120hz on 13 Pro

Android more expensive than iphones
android is more expensive than apple in some cases. s24 anyone
Iphone users fighting in the comments right now how "Iphone is better than Samsung"
No way
In my opinion what Samsung and everybody else did wrong is to give their phone much longer support.

"Macs do not get viruses "
