My wife never used any of the extra features such as Airdrop, iCloud etc. She finds Linux Mint much easier to use, and the laptop now feels very fast- like a new computer- 10 x snappier. It also means her MacBook, which hasn't had a new OS update since 2021, and soon will no longer receive security updates, is now supported (By Linux Mint) until 2029.
@@Y.Stan1 Steve Jobs died in 2011. He did not work on those products. Steve had a team of excellent people. Not sure how old you are but a company does not work the way you think. Steve Jobs was a CEO, he did not design he did not make any of these products. As a CEO you have one important job: To surround yourself with people who can create amazing things. They have to be smarter than you in certain fields so the company (that you lead) can come up with products like the iPhone, iPad, iPod, Apple Watch or the Mac.
Yeah, Apple products that came out and changed the world during the Cook era: Apple Watch EarPods M series Macs and iPads Apple Vision Pro... Show me another tech company that could come out with 4 products that changed technology like these 4 Apple products above.
Apple Watch, Airpods Pro and M series Macbooks are amazing products and were in their own way revolutionary. I remember Bluetooth earbuds before airpods were pretty bad and were treated as an afterthought. Airpods did popularize that format and forced other companies to improve. Same with smart watches. Apple didn't invent it but their implementation is the one that became mainstream because it provided a better UX. Even during Jobs era, smartphones and touchscreen phones weren't new. Palm was making amazing phones. But iPhone's contribution was an amazing UX followed with a centralized App store that allowed 3rd party devs a simple way to make and monetize their creation . This is not to mention all the good software improvements in iOS. Something like Find My is an amazing example of hardware software integration. Touch ID and Face ID are amazing, seamless and secure. Apple was the one that made biometric authentication on phones mainstream. Motorola had made a phone with a fingerprint sensor but that went nowhere because it was an afterthought and there was no software integration for it in 3rd party apps. Apple did that.
You forgot another thing that made these sales fall, The 11, 12 and 13 lineups. Think about it, the 11 series were very well-received and were the most accessible new iPhones at the time, the 12 series were so good that it managed to reinvigorate sales in the iPhone, while the 13 series were very competitive and made great Android alternatives. It could be very hard to increase sales when you have 3 back-to-back successes and 450+ million have no reason to upgrade
People often say iPhones can't compete with Androids because they don't change, but Androids rarely change their design either. As for Apple's 30% App Store fee, it's just a smart business move that gives them an edge. If Android is really better, then why complain? Just buy an Android phone.
Samsung barely changes but look at these other phone brands like Google and OnePlus I own a foldable One plus phone and its light-years ahead of both my 15 pro max and my friends s23 ultra but I'm not complaining I love the simplicity of the iPhone but it's definitely not worth the same prince in terms of hardware but definitely in aesthetic it's an American phone and I support it to an extent but there's no easy way to say this but it's definitely a worse all around product in terms of features and hardware but a better product in terms of support
@Leah-ju8ht Android is soon going to get closed source. Open source is no where near safe anymore and Google have talked about it for years. They're even trying to create a more safer and more complex security designs starting from the Android 11. We're seeing it from the stock folders being untouchable and integrated into the device with the ability to uninstall such updates to later not being able to in Android 12, and so on. We're heading towards complex safety and privacy problems with open stuff. If you're a tech manic you would've known why Android 15 is much delayed for the better. Not only it improves a lot of security flaws, these fixes can also improve overall device performance by turning off several unwanted "privacy unlocker" features.
Samsung is the Apple of Androids. Software-wise, though, it's superior to other manufacturers, e.g., OnePlus, etc. They still change the phone's design with every model.

Well I hope it TOTALLY fails. Its an extremely greedy company. To me though I think the reason why smartphone innovation has stagnated is because the big players (Apple, Samsung, Google..) are allowed to rig the system against the smaller players. This means less competition. The one company that was on the way to probably dethrone Apple and Samsung was Huawei and we know what happened. So yes if we want good things then we MUST break up these monopolies.
It also has the fraction of the security you get with IOS. That is a fact. You may not care, or choose to ignore that but it is not even close. Similar to OSX and Windows. OSX doesn't even need an anti virus software.
Apple seems to be setting a trend of greed. Seeing them all brands have removed headphones, chargers, and 1.5k 2k is nothing in terms of price even for android not.

The smartphone market has largely plateaued. In the early days, the differences between generations were substantial, but now improvements in areas like camera quality and CPU performance are more incremental. Despite talk of planned obsolescence, I know people who have been using the same iPhone for years. Sure, the battery life may decline and the phone might slow down a bit, but it still functions. When these users finally upgrade from an iPhone 8 or another older model to the latest iPhone 15, the difference is significant-unlike the minor upgrade from the 14 to the 15. Predictions of the smartphone’s decline due to emerging technologies like AR and VR have been around for a while, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
Smart phones have just matured. People hold onto their cars now longer too. This will drive prices down as phones become more of a commodity rather than a luxury item. I for one am very happy about this!

You forgot to mention that Apple will now also allow users to choose default apps for everything like, browsers etc. But I guess it will only be in the EU (I am not sure about this though).
Still having an iPhone 7 Plus I can say that there hasn’t even been one alteration that’s given me any reason to upgrade. The North Korea comparison is extremely appropriate. The EU is the only reason we are going to get removable batteries either. I would love to see a proposal making the sale of Apple products in America illegal until they are brought to heel. Unfortunately, American politicians prefer the whole world to know how cheaply they are purchased. If Tim Cook started marketing the iChild, it wouldn’t get a second glance from legacy media or regulatory boards.
Action button? Titanium parts? A17 CPU? The camera and video recording capability? SOS satellite call? Just to mention a few that no competitors got! Just give me a list of phones since 2017 that has all these features please.
I’m with an iPhone device after being with an android phone and I feel like I’m in a cage. I can’t even play ps2 games on it. But still a good experience. I always use this analogy to describe android and iOS; iPhone is like being in a beautiful and secure house without the ability to come out but nothing can come in neither. Android is like a beautiful house that gives you the ability to come outside but also the possibility of some stranger coming in, but with the possibility of having new experiences on the outside .
The iPhone may be making less, but I believe it will always be profitable. Especially because of those who are loyal to the brand. Newer and newer phones nowadays have reached a point where they are perfect. By that I mean what else is there to add? I honestly can't think of anything other than a full screen display. You could say Touch ID could return, but I don't see why it should. Considering Face ID is thousands of times better. And when have you needed two biometrics on your phone? Doubt it.
We care about the internal coordinates and developments, not the external appearance, and this point is agreed upon by many iPhone users so guys if u AGREE with me hit a like
As someone who uses both, I can say iOS and the Apple ecosystem works wonder for work. It just works. Its really refined and between deadlines and you need an ecosystem you can trust, Apple. But it lack features. Android on the other hand is hella fun to use. Customization and features is the name of the game. But, Android lacks app optimizations. I have apps crash and lag on me more often on Android than iOS. Each OS has its tradeoff, it depends on your lifestyle and your needs.
Apple acts as if other brands does not exist. And even while doing that they make great smartphones. Apple products are only ment to work with other Apple products, and its good, but it can be lacking compared to others.
Although I agree Apple has slowed down on the features as opposed to the way it was in the earlier years, almost everyone I know has an iPhone now. Many of them used to have Android phones, and they ended up with iPhones. Probably only 3 people I know still use Android, including my dad. I guess iPhone sales are declining because everyone already has one, and they last long enough.
In my openion people are not buying new i phone is because their old i phone's are still good enough to use it even today. Okay android has many features, but who's gonna use all those features ?? Okay even if you do use all the features, The software isn't well optimized for those features. Android has really hardware but it has shitty software, Whats the point of having snapdragon Gen 2 or 3 or 4 when the software isn't optimized well for it and even the app developers make their apps for apple first, So they get the newer apps first, Apple has better app optimization. Now what's the point of spending 1000 dollars on an android which has terrible software and app optimization but has really good hardware, Pointless.
The other smart phone companies also cost the same price, this argument doesn’t work anymore

Yeah, Apple products that came out and changed the world during the Cook era:
Apple Watch

Apple Vision Pro...
They can’t charge £1.5k of £2k for a phone it’s a joke
You forgot another thing that made these sales fall, The 11, 12 and 13 lineups. Think about it, the 11 series were very well-received and were the most accessible new iPhones at the time, the 12 series were so good that it managed to reinvigorate sales in the iPhone, while the 13 series were very competitive and made great Android alternatives. It could be very hard to increase sales when you have 3 back-to-back successes and 450+ million have no reason to upgrade
I haven't bought any apple products for three years and they have left much to be desired lately.
People often say iPhones can't compete with Androids because they don't change, but Androids rarely change their design either. As for Apple's 30% App Store fee, it's just a smart business move that gives them an edge. If Android is really better, then why complain? Just buy an Android phone.

That's right sometimes
But the data for this year says different
Keep it up!
Because im not one of the dumb shit that think "apple is always ahead because innovation"
When 69% of us know they buy patents 💀💀
Apple Watch ☠️
Still having an iPhone 7 Plus I can say that there hasn’t even been one alteration that’s given me any reason to upgrade.
The North Korea comparison is extremely appropriate.
The EU is the only reason we are going to get removable batteries either.
I would love to see a proposal making the sale of Apple products in America illegal until they are brought to heel. Unfortunately, American politicians prefer the whole world to know how cheaply they are purchased. If Tim Cook started marketing the iChild, it wouldn’t get a second glance from legacy media or regulatory boards.
*SNIFF SNIFF* I smell underrated RUclipsr!
Very thankful for your words 🔥🙏
@@1VONGARDbtw i subbed to you
The iPod was the most courage step apple has ever made and it was the most successful step they made ever
And yet you’re using iPhone and Apple Watch .
Can't lie, they are great
But we want them to be better and improve, that's the point
The iPhone 15 is quite disappointing, as all its features have been available in other phones since 2017.
And also the upcoming 16
Action button? Titanium parts? A17 CPU? The camera and video recording capability? SOS satellite call? Just to mention a few that no competitors got!
Just give me a list of phones since 2017 that has all these features please.
@@MrCooper83bro please stop, you're embarrassing yourself rn
@@OGTennyson I dont think I am as I asked a question 2 weeks ago and none of of you could answer.. (yeah, including ‘homie’)
@@MrCooper83 bro I like iphones too. But acting like these features are life changing is beyond crazy
I upgraded from 12 pro to 15 plus . And while I do admit the 15 is great. I can’t help but to think older iPhones were a lot better to me idk why
Any who’s I don’t plan to upgrade , unless 5-6 year’s pass
Best choice
I feel iPhones would have failed long ago, if it wasn't for the amount of time fans spend shilling Apple.
They are still giving USB 2.0 and Nvme. Nowadays people who understand for backup it's slowass. Camera enhancement is also being overexaggerated.
As someone who has used an iPhone since 2011. (Don’t mind the username) I can agree that apple has became less innovative.
If they can just have a 2 day battery would be more than enough
@@Elizabeth-jk4yjNot with power hungry 5G technology, unfortunately.
After iPhone 13 people were like I’ll keep my phone
Even 12, nothing huge difference, same phone with little enhancement . little battery, little notch, Dynamic Island, and cameras position.
Doubt it.
That's a very great point 📌
My wife’s Samshit died exactly right after the warranty of 2 years. I’m still running my XS Max for almost 6 years.
Agree, iPhone is a legend in long term
But with updates it may become slower
my mother's s19 died in like 4 years, it also faced alot of hardware issues, she bought a iphone 15 few months ago
My samsung j7 prime has been running since 2017 and it still works.
Even tho im an android user, i kinda feel bad for apple bc of what it was and what it is now
I have always preferred android over iphone because of the features and access to sites android phone provides.
We care about the internal coordinates and developments, not the external appearance, and this point is agreed upon by many iPhone users so guys if u AGREE with me hit a like
This is all tim cook’s fault… apple lost it’s magic after steve jobs died
Luxurious brand same design. SAMSUNG USER for 10years since Galaxy series.
0:35 CountryBalls?
Just to visualize 😉
As someone who uses both, I can say iOS and the Apple ecosystem works wonder for work. It just works. Its really refined and between deadlines and you need an ecosystem you can trust, Apple. But it lack features.
Android on the other hand is hella fun to use. Customization and features is the name of the game. But, Android lacks app optimizations. I have apps crash and lag on me more often on Android than iOS.
Each OS has its tradeoff, it depends on your lifestyle and your needs.
100% True
App communications are not an issue at all for my devices. I think you're just not using them right/not knowledgeable in their operation.
pretty accurate name in the thumbnail
Apple acts as if other brands does not exist. And even while doing that they make great smartphones. Apple products are only ment to work with other Apple products, and its good, but it can be lacking compared to others.
1:20 errmm it actually *_Iphone 2G_*
Thanks for your notice
Although I agree Apple has slowed down on the features as opposed to the way it was in the earlier years, almost everyone I know has an iPhone now. Many of them used to have Android phones, and they ended up with iPhones. Probably only 3 people I know still use Android, including my dad. I guess iPhone sales are declining because everyone already has one, and they last long enough.
Maybe that's right 🤔
In my openion people are not buying new i phone is because their old i phone's are still good enough to use it even today. We all know apple devices last longer and get way better support than any android device. So considering this people are not changing their devices every year. Even I am using almost 3 year old android phone.
Definitely gave you a sub. Held my attention the whole time.
Tried my best ❤️🙏
It's a big honor to have a channel like you here
Thanks 👍
I think iphone is the best mobile phone product because of the amazing quality and technology inside it.
Yeah but the OS is really bad
@@damiancho7977 no, it isnt bad. It's limited. It's actually one of the best performing os's.
Agreed
