- I’m a new Pixel user with a Pixel 8. I’ve been daily driving it for about a month and I’ve been able to experience some of the amazing features of the Pixel. As a decade long Samsung user, I didn’t think anything would surprise me on the Pixel, but boy I was wrong. So today I’m going to share my top 5 reasons why you should consider switching to Pixel.

I just switched from the iPhone 15 Pro max to the Pixel 8 pro. I am absolutely loving it.
Nice, I’ve had my 15 Pro Max since launch day and I’m starting to regret it. It’s a solid phone, but I just don’t see anything that really stands out against the competition. 🤷🏻♂️

But you must agree that pro max is smoother and more polished than pixel especially in 3rd party apps
I think I will skip the Pixel 9 and try my first iPhone
Thanks to this comment I think I'll get the highest priced iPhone for an expensive mediocre Pixel 9 Pro.

Spot on! glad to see the appreciation of the Pixel device, yes its not the best phone on the market but the UI is fluid and polished, love the at a glance widget and a single app for everything , i have tried Samsung phones multiple times they are premium but cannot stand the ONE UI bloatware, hence why i keep coming back to Pixel.
If you are living in a hot climate like anywhere in SEA or South America - avoid pixel until they dodge the horrible chipset. The device constantly overheats and slows down to a crawl. Horrible experience, was great in England but not in Thailand
Agreed.Where i live the summers are really hot and even now in April at not even 20C the phone easily reaches 40C.I dont even wanna know how its gonna perform in the summer.
Decided to switch from Apple to Android about six months ago. The features you mentioned are all the reasons I decided on Pixel vs. Samsung. All the smart features related to reminders, schedules, etc. are incredibly helpful. I find these features much more useful than anything in the Apple ecosystem. All that and Pixel phones are much less expensive than their Apple and Samsung counterparts (at least for now).
I've just moved from a 15 pro max to a pixel and I'm really impressed with the device so glad I made the change

What software do you use to split the applications in the app drawer?
To see a Samsung user amazed by the 'ordinary' Pixel features that I've gotten so used to, and probably am taking for granted, is eye opening.
Now I understand how I inadvertently caused 6 (android) friends to switch to Pixels, after letting them play with my phone. (over ~5 years)
On the flip side, the same effect did not work for my iAuntie. She has enough problems working an iphone. She's only 58. 🤷♂
Do these featues also work on older Pixel phones, or if I use a ported PixelOS on another brand?
I've owned an S10+ since Dec 2019 and it is in outstanding condition but lately, I have been thinking about a Pixel 8 (or 8a, depending on the current deals). But I RARELY take photos and because of that, I'm almost sure I'll regret after if I do the trade-in.

I had the same experience first i was using samsung s20 then i upgraded to pixel 7 oh my god it was some experience smoothness was crazy for me but then bugs just got me until i decided to abandon battery was getting worse also

They're practically the same stock Android the added call screening and call waiting are exclusive Pixel features. Pixel isn't even stock Android anymore it's Pixel UI.

I haven't so far, but I also haven't used it for shooting videos longer than 2 minutes, so far.
Using a 13 pro max, considering the 9 pro xl or fold 2 when they come out. Knowing me though I’ll chicken out and stick with iPhone
Unfortunately all these cool functions are restricted to the USA. My call screening voice sounds like a robot and most people just hang up. I'm in Australia.
Is this automatic voice assistant available in India? Is anyone from India using this feature?

Pixels aren't available here. We have to import them. We don't get 5G or the call features. But I still love my Pixel 6a. 😂
hope google would enable 5G here in the Philippnes. Although LTE works fine, the fact that i know that my pixel 6 has 5G and i can't utilize it sucks

I am thinking on a switch from Galaxy, Samsung is a little boring after 3 years. Felt the same about iPhone it's why I switched and now feel same about Samsung. I hear Google Pixel has a glitchy experience, please come back and let us know your experience in 3 months time
Here in Bangladesh, people are seriously fed-up on pixel phones due to network issues... for what a "phone" is called a "phone".

The only problem is that a lot of features are not available in Europe😢 That is why i think about going to iPhone...I can't officially buy some products because there is no Google store only a few phones and buds pro is available in some local stores...
Yep and Samsung use exynos chips in Europe unless you are buying the ultra model. iPhone just seems best value. I want a new android tho and considering OnePlus 12R.
I prefer to buy a phone with zero updates and is working flawlessly from the day that I bought it than to buy a phone with are thousand updates that doesn't work properly it is just frustrating, people shouldn't be spending there had earn money on any phone that is giving them a terrible experience and that is why I have bought the (red magic 8 S pro) and the experience is amazing it is difficult for me to choose another brand of phone because every other brand of phone I have bought, I had to send them back except the (red magic 8S pro) it is just flawless and I am a heavy user The phone is constantly connected to a monitor with keyboard and mouse support along with battery bypass it even have the option to increase the GPU and CPU performance All the user has to do is to find a way to maintain the temperature of the device which I did successfully it's a dream come true for me, and when I am out the phone battery refuses to die it is just amazing
Taking a photo that automatically loads up to a cloud for computational purposes is a little disturbing. Where are your photos actually going?
Onto a server. Probably Google's servers - some of the best in the industry.

It does not. You have the option to upload pictures to the cloud or not to upload them.

I'm not sure. You can try updating the wallpapers from PlayStore. Find "Pixel Live Wallpaper".

Long press on your home screen, select more wallpapers in the wallpaper and style menu, now select living universe you will be able to see the live wallpapers and it has always been there for me as well (6a user) to explore the emoji workshop as well you could customise your wallpapers your way

You should be able to just choose to apply to lock screen or home screen at the top.
there are some features on the list, which are available on Galaxy Phones, too, for example, Screen Calling with Bixby, Object Eraser
Call screen on Galaxy phones isn't the same
Ill stick to the One Plus 12.

I’ve only used Samsung phones in my life, but my next phone will be a pixel. I can’t see all the duplicate apps and the oversharpened pictures anymore.
In my opinion, pixel pictures are quite overprocessed sometimes, I wish there were some way to avoid it

The fingerprint sensor is the only reason I can't use a Pixel.
If Google would switch to an ultrasonic one, or any sensor that works consistently, I'd go Pixel and never look back.
Can't use the ultrasonic sensor with a screen protector.
I guess it's worth mentioning that most of the AI features are not available outside of the US, so people from other countries should lower their expectations for the phone.

if Google decide to swap out their awful google tensor chipset for a snapdragon latest gen, i would definitely swap, at least make it as good as the latest exynos, this is coming from an s24 ultra user and it was the main reason why i got the s24 ultra over it, i do like to game from time to time and the performance of the pixel is bad for a flagship of that price
I always google Phones Nexus was my 1st then Pixel 1 Pixel 3A now on a 6A but won't upgrade again till pixel 10 or 11 cause speed is of Pixel 8 is almost the same

Please didn't believe the hype, I've been daily driving pixel 8 pro phone since the start and not once did my phone overheat in any scenario. Sometimes it has gotten warm but nothing I couldn't handle line any other phone.. Your mileage may vary 😊😊

The stuff people comment that, if you open apps such as Facebook, WhatsApp or even call someone, the phone will overheat to the point that you will notice the heat and won't be able to hold it. Is that true?
I haven't had any overheating problems so far. The phone does get a little warm though. Nice for cold days 😁

@@terracobynnhaandoh6110 I have the s24 ultra and I have not seen any micro stutters or lag. Let's be honest though, all phones lag or stutter at some point with usage, including iPhones.

Tell me why? I used Samsung and I only encountered more troubles, such as screen turning on and off by itself, hitting the phone to make it work. So please, be kind and tell me, why not? @@dobargento9480 The phone is very slow. It heats up very quickly in ordinary apps. Google is promising a variety of new features with new products and when you bought it phone comes without features and sometimes you need to wait 10 months for get it. Depending on the region you live in, it is very likely that you will not have half of features that Google promotes. Except If you live in the U.S. The phone is obsolete as soon as the new Pixel comes out because you will not get new features as samsung does it with older phones. The battery life is a disaster. Camera is not as good as RUclipsr says. The list is quite long I could write more, but I hope it's enough and you understand.
The phone gets very hot during normal use such as watching videos or scrolling through apps. The processor is very bad and slow uses a lot of battery, so the battery life is very bad. Slow charging. The features that google promises with the phone usually don't come right away sometimes and a few months after purchase. Sometimes up to 10 months. Which is disappointing and you paid for it. The camera is not as good as everyone makes it out to be on the internet. You will only have features if you live in America, if you are in other parts of the world, be happy if you have 50% of all features. Because Google limits that by region. The phone is forgotten after a year. Google will no longer deal with the previous model and they will not work with the implementation of new options that the new model has. As Samsung does it. So after a year you have a very old and forgotten phone. The list is very long, but I hope you understand and that you will give up the purchase.@@dobargento9480
