In March 2007, we filmed the Arcade Fire playing in an elevator then in the middle of the crowd in the Olympia in Paris. This stays one of our most celebrated Take Away Shows. But the video that was on RUclips was in SD, with poor sound and a dirty image.
So we thought it might be good to offer you a better version of the movie. Enjoy it, and go listen to Reflektor !

The Arcade Fire was one of the best things that happened in the 2000s. Can't believe that it's been 20 years. I still remember singing my heart out to these songs at their concerts.
Such a beutiful moment in time...They seem as thrilled and surprised, as we are, by what they've just done...feels so sincere...

I cherished this video like it was one of my personal prized possession back in the day, and it still find it as powerful as I did back then. On another note, it's kind of blowing my mind that that is Colin Stetson rocking the bass clarinet during Neon Bible, a full 3-ish years before his own influence on my life came to be.
I first discovered him when he played with Bon Iver

There were signs and notices all over the area that the elevator had been booked for a specific purpose, not to mention camera equipment, not to mention other elevators.
Skye Bonham So, he's justified in being a dick because he had cameras and permission to be there?
He easily could've said, "Hey man, we're shooting a weird little live video in here. Would you mind using another elevator or waiting a few minutes?"
The point is that he treated that random stranger like a peon, when he was probably just trying to use the elevator as it's supposed to be used.

They also asked it nicely in French and thanked them, he phrased the question in English as simple as possible, so the Frenchman would understand him.
