You can tell David Bowie was very moved by the lyrics, he's singing deep from his soul! Together they are some of the best timers. I can say with no doubt that Arcade Fire moved me to tears with their songs, They feel like war and heaven, and they ignited all of my feelings and senses.
After seeing Arcade Fire play this in person as a bucket list item at Red Rocks, I now cannot sing this oh oh oh oh oh oh part without tearing up. I am a 74 year old man, and this band, Arcade Fire, touches my heart and my soul like no other band or music has my entire life. When they complete their current album work in a year or so, I will try to see them as often as I can. If you haven't yet, start listening to them, and listen to each song more than once, because they grow on you.

I think a lot of people overestimated how many people heard them up til this point, but this live performance proved to them they were amazing, especially by the end, people got to their feet and clapped and danced a long
I adore watching this because I get to not only witness bowie (yes, biased) and a stunning musical performance but also one of the greatest artistic moments of these artists’ lives and it is PALPABLE even from a phone screen and utterly glorious. They are singing and playing their hearts out to the hilt💛
Arcade Fire one of the only acts that could measure up to Bowie in terms of creativity and innovation. Bowie saw the greatness in them before anyone else did. It's been a little over a week but David Bowie's death still hurts. I haven't grieved this hard since my mom died. She was a fan too. Bowie was one of those artists that kept me connected to her. This is like losing mom all over again. 💌💔

I was fortunate to be in attendance at this event with my then-16 year old daughter who used to work on BowieNet. That's how she got the tickets. The Fashion Rocks producers wanted David on the show but he initially turned them down. It was a year and 3 months after his heart attack and bypass surgery. He relented though, with the condition that Arcade Fire be a part of the show. That's how that came about. The atmosphere in Radio City Music Hall during this song was one of jubilation! Everyone was on their feet and the applause after the performance was thunderous! This was one moment when the crowd didn't need prompting to applaud and cheer! 😀

Wasn’t expecting to cry or get goosebumps watching this, but here we are. Arcade Fire has been so influential to me, and so has David Bowie. I miss him so much, and I’m glad this video exists.
The way they injected their energy into the crowd is phenomenal. They played for a crowd of celebrities and people who are very likely in a constant shell of their image, and you can see them breaking down that shell and touching their souls. The way they all are eventually standing at the end...wow, music is everything

I think a lot of people overestimated how many people heard them up til this point, but this live performance proved to them they were amazing, especially by the end, people got to their feet and clapped and danced a long
I adore watching this because I get to not only witness bowie (yes, biased) and a stunning musical performance but also one of the greatest artistic moments of these artists’ lives and it is PALPABLE even from a phone screen and utterly glorious. They are singing and playing their hearts out to the hilt💛

The Bowie influence on this song can't be denied. Just awesome.
Arcade Fire one of the only acts that could measure up to Bowie in terms of creativity and innovation. Bowie saw the greatness in them before anyone else did. Just a couple of legendary acts making music that's beyond human comprehension. Lovely job Starman. Win and the gang will keep your legend going.

I was fortunate to be in attendance at this event with my then-16 year old daughter who used to work on BowieNet. That's how she got the tickets.
The Fashion Rocks producers wanted David on the show but he initially turned them down. It was a year and 3 months after his heart attack and bypass surgery. He relented though, with the condition that Arcade Fire be a part of the show. That's how that came about.
The atmosphere in Radio City Music Hall during this song was one of jubilation! Everyone was on their feet and the applause after the performance was thunderous! This was one moment when the crowd didn't need prompting to applaud and cheer! 😀
ive been a beatles fan all my life. and you know what it means... like "nothing is gonna be that important in rock music anymore". well, nope. these lovely people conquered my heart and my soul. this is music as its meant to be: just right from the heart. we all should tra to get infected. this is as good as he beatles.

Wasn’t expecting to cry or get goosebumps watching this, but here we are. Arcade Fire has been so influential to me, and so has David Bowie. I miss him so much, and I’m glad this video exists.
The way they injected their energy into the crowd is phenomenal. They played for a crowd of celebrities and people who are very likely in a constant shell of their image, and you can see them breaking down that shell and touching their souls. The way they all are eventually standing at the end...wow, music is everything
