Got mine today along with the rear folding site. Installation maybe took 10 minutes and these videos are incredibly helpful.
The mount is very well made and feels like a huge upgrade to the sub2k having a red dot that can be folded out of the way. Can’t wait to get it out on the range tomorrow.
Awesome! Thanks Brother, we appreciate your Support!
My mount came in this past Saturday. Let me point out something that Chris mentions but somehow I missed. There is a tiny white nylon ring on one side of the four nuts. This ring must be facing out when you insert the screws. In my defense I am 67 years old and my eyesight and hearing is not what it used to be. When I first installed the mount I could not get the screws to tighten down. At first I thought I had stripped the threads. I even sent a e-mail to Mcarbo asking how I could get replacements. Being a weekend I did not get a reply right away. After taking the mount back off I finally saw the white rings on the nuts and I reversed them. They all tightened up right away. This is a small detail, but an important one. I feel like such a dummy for missing it. BTW, I sighted the red dot in yesterday and the mount makes a big difference and works well.
I can't imagine the amount of work needed to go into engineering this. Good job. Can't wait to pick one up soon.
A Ton! Glad it's finished!! Haha. Thanks Brother for your Support!
@@MCARBO have you thought about making a metal hand guard an rail and also the trigger guard so maybe we can shoot some +p or +p+ ammo 🤔
@@carolinapanther1762
Metal handguards don't effect the chamber in any way and wouldn't make the firearm +p capable. The chamber is made up of the barrel and the bolt face, to run higher pressure rounds you would need to upgrade your barrel and the recoil spring, maybe add a bit of weight to the bolt. But it definitely won't involve changing the furniture of the weapon. The polymer isn't there to hold pressure, it's just a handguard.
Shout out to the guys and gals over at MCARBO. I just got my lefted handed shooter optics mount installed. It was quick and easy to do. This just took my favorite gun to shoot and took it to the next level. The R&D that u all put into the optics mount is awesome. This upgrade makes me love my sub2000 that much more. Slowly but surely I will be purchasing a few more sub2000 upgrades just because I'm very happy with the I just received. Flat faced trigger will be next. Thx for ur time and effort with this awesome product.
Got mine today and added a Romeo 5. Spent 15 minutes sighting it in with a bore laser along with a TLR2 mounted on the bottom. Nice design.
What a HUGE improvement!!! The factory sight was nearly unusable for me. This made me love my sub2k!!! I'm a M*Carbo customer for life!
Awesome! Thanks Josh for sharing the results! Glad to hear it Brother!
Awesome "how to" video!!! Thanks from a new prospective customer as I have a Gen 2 40cal!!! Man, ya'll ought to have tons of customers!!!
Such a beautiful piece of precision engineering. So glad I pimped my sub with all your stuff!
Got mine today! Thank you so much. Outstanding quality!
I picked up the new Optic Mount a couple months ago. It is hands down the best Optic Mount on the market for the Sub-2000.
Wow thanks for the demonstration my goodness this is a whole gem upgrade so sick!
Yes ready for that email on shipping. Guys will be working overtime.
Loving it! Just waiting on the shipping notification!
Thanks Chris, can't wait to receive mine! 🤠
Thanks Chris. Impatiently waiting on mine to arrive :D
Just got mine and it far superior to the MI. I also used the Sig Romeo. Thanks Chris great job on this product.
I turned to this and it was really helpful cause the rear sight had been cut off in stead of taken off
I settled on the Red Lion Precision indexing handguard yrs ago when I had a Sub2K. I gotta say had this been available at the time, I would have jumped on it.
Bros filming this video on the surface of the sun. He's standing in a room of pure light
Proud of it too ordered me one great products keep making great products you’re the best order a trigger for my Ruger lcp max love it no more pinch thank you
You know there serious business when there notes have memes in them
Yes! Finally a swing out that doesn't require a piece of 550 cord on the buttstock to hold the bolt
Yes Sir! Couldn't agree more!
@@MCARBO is there any way y'all can make a AR/M style easily adjustable buttstock for the sub2000?
I have one for each of my Gen 2 Sub 2Ks (one for me and one for the wife) and it fits just fine in my 17" laptop bag. Also it adds strength to the foregrip and my Sig Sauer Romeo Five red dot optic and my Burris Fast Fire Three optic have kept their zero after months of carrying in and out of the car. Those with whom I shoot all have the same mount and Sig Sauer Romeo Five red dot optics and all have had the same excellent success! God bless, have fun, stay safe and healthy and have a Happy New Year Bro!😁
Dude, I love it. This firearm will be my next purchase.
I need sunglasses while watching you on the table top... 😎
Mine is expected to deliver today!
I thought my eyesight was going bad. Glad I’m not the only one 🤣🤣🤣
Nicely done guys!
Awesome! Can't wait to add it to mine!
Of all my upgrades this was the easiest to install. This is well worth the money if you want to put an optic on you sub 2000
I believe your lightning needs some adjustment. :-)
camera guy: "how much exposure do you want?"
this dude: "ALL of it"
Lightning eh?
That little Sig Romeo 5 is hard to beat for the price. It’s perfect for a PCC. (Honestly it’ll hold its own on most any platform.)
Good design, but a Great design would have it double-hinged where when folded aside the optic would fold again, flat against the receiver. Not only would it lessen the width of the overall package by nearly half, but it might eliminate the need for springs by creating two machined roller hinges. By mirroring the base 4-holed side-plate on the right side of the receiver, a female receiver hole, hook, or snap could be located here to receive the male post located on the right side base of the optic mount. To deploy you depress a catch, roll up and lock into position by hand. No snappy "switchblade" action, but also no "snappy" wear on the optic. Quiet and smooth deployment.
Just make it then
@@80sbaby___baby70Fanboys like you ruin good companies.
Move the light away and put some cloth over it to help diffuse it. would look much better.
Torquing them in a circle pattern? That hurt to watch. (in both senses)
Love it. Absolutely awesome.
I tried a red dot on my Gen2 9mm. I used the stock rail. It was as low and unhandy as the peep sight. This looks a little higher. Might need to look into getting one.
Sweet! Just purchased a sub 2000 1st Gen. LOVE it already.
Awesome! A lot of what we have for the SUB-2000 is compatible with the Gen 1. Just check the item page. It will say on there if it is. www.mcarbo.com/kel-tec-sub-2000-accessories.aspx
don't think this mount will fit.
@@MCARBO I'm assuming that you would need the folding rear sight to use any optics?
Awesome work.
That's awesome looking... now I have to hop buy a sub 2000
On the Gen2, make the mount close 180° and (two clicks?). So the optic is much more protected in the bugout
7:50 me over here on 4/20
You fuckin got me good
I think I will eventually pull the trigger again and try and get me one, but I think I'm going to keep it old school without optics. Maybe a laser/flashlight combo, something low profile. Anything else would really take away from the gun in my opinion.
I would like to see Keltec redesign the gun and figure out how to incorporate a built in optic, and yet keep it compact and flat!
Wow that looks awesome
This gun is pure genius
Waiting for mine 👍
Iwant to own one in the future nice backpack gun!!!
I’ve had a scope on my SU-16 for years and it’s always held a zero with that polymer rail on top.
beautiful
Well done.
Really enjoying my sub2k and keltec... if you are listening. Lose the foregripTupperware M-lock / Picatinny hand grip for aluminum.
I'll be installing mine tomorrow
How did it go? What price did you get?
Mines coming today!! Romeo 5 will sit atop as well. Anyone use a different / recommend another optic?
I think mine will arrive tomorrow. I'm excited.
How many inches does it stick out and can you recommend a case for it ?
You forgot to mention the affect of your product on the front sight plane. Does the stock front have enough elevation adjustment built in to handle the increased height of the rear sight??
Looking at a few gun cases that have limited capacity!!
If you install the MCarbo flip sight with a Holosun Red dot, flip it so as to fold the KT 2000, gen 2, 9mm and lay it on a table. What is the height of the KT 2000 from table surface to the top nost edge of the Red dot. SOme gu gases are limited to a height of 4 1/2 inches!!
Just gotta find a way to rig it so that it flips in and out of place as the gun folds.
Question, shouldn't the mount be on the right side of the gun so it wont be in the way hitting your ribs or chest if you have it folded and tucked with a single point sling?
Is there something similar to this side flip but longer rail? I don't use red dot… i prefer small scope and this addon flip rail is way too short to mount scope
Do they make a case for the whole thing so it won't get broke off since it doesn't tuck flat
Is there any mounting solution for mounting a sight with requires close eye relief, such as an ACOG 4x scope?
I prefer to use a fat wrench and torque to spec. What is the torque spec?
Could my Keltec sub 2000 gen 1 .40 Glock version get a quad rail?!
Cool video. But, where did you shoot it, the surface of the sun?
You guys recommend the low profile mount for the Romeo5 for absolute cowitness?
with the optic used in this video, what is the total depth or width from the top of the optic to the bottom of the (i guess the side of the handle?) im wondering if this would fit inside any of the tactical walls products or a wall safe or anything of the sort with an optic attached. what type of "depth" would i need in a safe? 7"?
I just installed mine. Can you recommend a 3X or 5X scope that fits your mount? The Monstrum P332 3X Raven Prism Scope does NOT; it's too long
Do you know of a scope with magnification and illuminated dot/cross hair that will fit?
Why does everyone say “ STOKED? “ It’s a great weapon no doubt about it. But to be Stoked? And yes I own one. Your video had great content and you presented it very well.
Does the primary arms mini prism scope fit on that mount?
When should I get mine ? I ordered on June 6th
I need to get that
I now know why the light was blinding me, it was so I didn’t see the price of this mount. Kinda makes me wish I was blind after seeing it lol.
mcarbo.com
It's actually surprisingly cheap considering it is a custom piece for this gun made of good materials. I plan on getting one in a couple months after I rebuild my savings from buying the gun.
You obviously know nothing about Prototype it takes hours of failure then more failure until you finally get the ball rolling.
Someone’s gotta get paid for this idea. It’s genius.
@@williamlewis3163 you obviously no nothing about a joke and have no sense of humor. Your probably offended because you’re probably work for this company.
How about a mount for a 3x magnifier? Thanks
will it work with oem screws and nuts ?
Dude fuck yes thank you!!
Does this work with the California compliant versions?
Is there kits available with multiple upgrades in a kit
You should sell more than M carbo lol. Great sales man. Love your products. They sell themselves.
Have you found any specific red dot that will co-witness with your mount?
fine that it adds too much weight and thickness when fold still this gun just made for CWB iron sights went with the large peep irons
Need sunglasses to watch this vid 😂
why no just a side mount ? nobody says the scope needs to be on top of the gun....
Want one!
I have always thought the kel tec sub 2000 is awesome
Will this work on the gen 1?
This was integral and should have been included in the design from day one. That being said this mount should just be a hot fix with a factory hand guard mount combination included on new guns.
People are spoiled these days. The rifle works with the factory sights, the mount is an in upgrade and a handy one but Keltek was trying to keep the price point low and not everyone wants this particular mount. I have a Romeo mounted on mine with an offset left side 45° mount. The rifle still folds and it is rock solid. Deployable mounts are gonna eventually wear. And I don't see any means for adjusting out that wear on the M-carbo mount so eventually it's gonna have zeroing issues.
If Keltek put this style mount on the rifle it would probably bump the price point 150$. That puts it in the same market as much nicer carbines and would have killed the entire project.
can i use a holosun hs403c on this mount?
I just want one.
I am ready for my lefty model! Please let me know when I can get the deal!
Yes Sir, we've got the Lefty Model now. Just select it in the drop down. www.mcarbo.com/kel-tec-sub-2000-optic-mount.aspx
Any problem zeroing it?
I like it but the price is a bit too steep for me maybe one day 👍
Occasionally we have cosmetic blems that we discount and sell in the gun shop. Give us a call 888-347-1276 EXT 3
Any reports from users? How well does it hold zero after a few months usage? Any movement or vibration while shooting?
No
Can anybody link specific sight for this gun? Which Romeo 5 is most compatible?
We've ordered a bunch of these. Work great! www.amazon.com/Sig-Sauer-SOR52001-Romeo5-Compact/dp/B01C95I8N4/ref=sr_1_1?crid=28TH5SQLAYTPE&dchild=1&keywords=sig+romeo+5&qid=1584727544&sprefix=sig+rome%2Caps%2C160&sr=8-1
This is the right handed version correct?
Can l purchase this in Canada locally.
Does the front iron sights obscure the red dot?
Only a slight amount. Our buddies over at Red Lion Precision make a very nice front folding sight.
For what it's worth, Loctite says threadlockers are for metal parts, and not recommended for plastics.
The handguard is the plastic part, the bolt and nut are metal.
do u need to remove or alter iron sights?
No u don't. It mounts firmly to the frame. I just got mine today and it was well worth the money. Best optics mount on the market for a sub2000 in my opinion and its very well made with quality fit and finish. Its awesome. I hope that helps.
Damn I Jus Bought That Kel Tech .what is the name of that scope?
The optic is a Sig Romeo V (5) and it is coupled with our scope mount.
Surprised he didn’t tighten the screws on an “cross pattern” instead of clockwise
Placed order on June 6th.....still waiting! A little bit too long on the deliveries, I think.
Artur Udrescu I ordered mine on June 6th also for the $50 off discounted price. Just got notification that it’s been shipped with a tracking # ... estimated delivery will be Saturday, July 6th. Can’t wait to install and try it out!!!
@@anthonyn.3575 I received mine and I love it.
I need one of these. Your website says they're back ordered. When will they be available?
