What do you reckon guys, is Devon's failure to put on weight going to be a problem for him given John has stacked it on?

If John wears his reading glasses for the match he wins 6-0 without a doubt. Those glasses are like a super power! Those glasses make him a straight up sleeper!
Weird cuz I always thought the opposite. I feel that way when Devon shaves his head, but I remember John showing up at Zloty 2011 with his glasses and struggling. Maybe when he was younger the glasses held power🤓
@@jethrotool4828 He had his surgery then.. that’s why he wasn’t the best from 2011-2013. Just like how Devon had surgery in 2012 and he said it lasted through 2015.

I think if you watched John’s match with chances, you would have changed re-estimated who is gonna win. No doubt John is one of the greatest arm wrestlers, but Devon’s endurance is gonna tire John and that’s when changes happen 😉
Love Devon's technical answers. He's a true enthusiast of the sport. 👍
very true! however, john is also very technical himself, but the word technical doesn't come to mind when john gives interview answers usually. When i think of technical the word that comes to mind is preperation. I doubt john would ever take a real serious match w/o thinking he has had meticulous preperation. When he gets to the table there is not any trash talk or exterior histrionics like say a matt mask. John is like a stone killer!
As john said devon is the most knowledgeable arm wrestler in the world.

@@sirRustyiron You could be right but you could be wrong also on Denis being stronger right handed. But according to Neil Pickup when he interviewed Devon and John. The story is that Denis was offered as much as 50 thousand dollars to pull Devon in a right handed super match but he still declined.

When Devon EXPLODES i would love love LOVE to see that tense face from John where he tights his lips and just HOLDS devon's explosive push.
Not that there is anything wrong with that, but that sounds very adult rated. 😄 back to your point, I don't think you ever gonna see Devon being really explosive. Devon is a very slow puller, and that's okay. John is too, but that's more because of age.

Great video thanks, Devon is so mentally tuned in to this task that I cant see anything but a victory. I respect John but I feel Devon has the necessary strength and ability to overcome him, although I don't expect a whitewash. I am so looking forward to this.
He’s got one major thing on John, and that’s his fitness and his energy. John looks great but I can imagine him tired after a few rounds. I love both guys.

I think that Devon didn't want to deal with the health repercussions of Pancake Devon. I imagine that being that heavy was truly a miserable experience.
I suspect the real truth is Devon felt he didn't need to pack on the kind of weight he packed on with Michael Todd I truly believe Devon feels he will crush John easily without that extra 25 30 lb I also believe this to be true
I have a similar physique to Devon and what he was saying about the cardio kicking the body into gear has a lot of weight to it. He’s worked on bulk for years and now he’s reawakening the skinnier man. It’s hard being that big if you aren’t usually that size.
