Check out the VVT limiter tool by Comp Cams 5761 designed specifically for 5.7-6.4L Hemi engines. we are in installing this limiter in preparation for the Brian Tooley Racing camshaft, therefore if you are installing a performance camshaft in your Hemi, you will most likely need to limit the VVT. Follow along as I give a quick demonstration on how to use the VVT tool

      Pretty much, but the VVT will still function with limitations now. the cam he chose requires non MDS lifters, that’s part of the cylinder deactivation. and the VVT needed a -4 degree limiter installed.
      Once together the ECM will try to do a full sweep of the VVT however with the limiter installed we will need to adjust that value.
      In addition we will deactivate the MDS and need to then adjust the tables for the new cam
      Or she won’t run very well and be lit up like a Christmas tree.
      The cam alone adds 75hp we also need to adjust for the long tube headers
      It should be around 475-500 hp that means the injectors if left stock would be around 90% duty cycle. Little high so we are considering going to 35 lb/hr injectors. We have that to adjust for as well
