"THAT ENGINE GUY" on RUclips has a good video on lifters (LS Lifter comparison) but it's very performance based. It would be nice to have something similar but covering the whole spectrum of lifter.

@OlivierV9000 well honestly if the valve train system is well designed and has minimal loft or closing bounce, Delphi or LS7 lifters are fine for upwards of 8000 RPM. Some of our competitors' cams and applications with a lot of closing bounce due to valve mass like LSA intake valves (120 grams), or aftermarket stainless LS3 or LS7 intake valves (120+ grams) would benefit from a Johnson lifter like the 2110R.
Basically valve trains with excellent stability don't need anything special other than good Delphi/LS7 lifters, and any application where stability can be a issue due to RPM, lobe design or valve mass needs more durable lifters like 2110R.

Whatever you decide dont get Morel. I bought a set and its been a nightmare. Only after I installed them did I do some research on google and found lots of other people having the same issues as myself. VERY noisy, they are hyd roller lifters but sound like a set of solids with 100 thou clearance. Research it yourself but I can tell you first hand Morel is junk.

The Delphi LS7 lifter is fine to run with the BTR .660” dual springs?
They came in the BTR LS stage 2 Red Hot cam kit I had purchased from Michigan Motorsports.
      It’s what they recommend.

This is solid information from the man himself. And he's 100% correct about the knock off lifters. And as for the DOD trays?? Remove and toss all that garbage in the appropriate containers. We are about to finish the build on our LC9 5.3 that has been upgraded to the Truck Norris cam. And its going into my wife's 1986 Chevy Camaro in a few weeks. Out with the 115 hp v6 and in with this nice aluminum block 5.3. We are hopeful to see 325 - 350 hp on pump gas. Which will make for a really nice summer time daily driver with a little "get up and go".. Thanks Brian for all you do for the LS engine world.

Welp good thing I had a delphi lifter and tray upgrade when my engine was rebuilt. I wouldn't be surprised if they were BTR products considering my cam is BTR as well. On a side note: The BTR Stage 1 220 cam apparently can handle more than 7000 rpm's. Currently having my trans tuned and *cough* couple of times hit 7500-7600 rpms. Still working the kinks on the tune as we speak.
