Very helpful. Only problem is he didn't mention what orientation to install the limiter block. And my head would explode every time he referred to the cam phaser as the "phaser limiter" lol. The limiter is the block not the sprocket and phaser.
I have the comp cam #5760 lock kit it has the little set screw. It says until it doesn't move. I kept going and the it was damn tight but still moved the Allen rounded. Any thoughts? I can take it out or leave it ??
I installed this kit with no issues besides the fact that the spring no longer lined up the way it used to. The plate on top is definitely not centered. Sup with that.
Is it normal, when rotating a brandnew crate engine by hand, that a clanking noise coming from the phaser ? Guess, it is due to this spring inside and no Oilpressure.

Probably the scariest part when I was putting the cam in the car. Thought it was going to explode in my face

What’s the matrix size you used ? To remove those bolts ?

So what can happen if the springs unwind since the phaser is being locked anyway?
At 3:42, are the two "ears" on the phaser limiter oriented towards the inside diameter or outside diameter?

It has sort of a pie shape to it and the larger dimension goes to the outside diameter

If I use the MMX mds delete kit complete with factory OEM non mds cam and 16 hellcat lifters will I have to install a cam Phaser Limiter?

What if the limiter is not sitting flush the way you placed it and is actually closer to the other side in that gap? Will this cause issues ?
