I have the same looking phaser I took that bolt I'm not supposed to take out all the way out and heard something unwind I put the delete wedge in and bolted it back up...is it ok to use since it's locked out?
This phaser limiter Required in all cams? Have a stage 2 and the phaser limiter is optional… trying to find out why that would be optional and not in a cam package….
That cam-phaser is required on certain cams, and you must re-program the ECU if you are changing any of this. If you out a cam that doesn't require a phaser and you're replacing a cam-with-phaser, then you much re-program as well.
That's definitely a VVT code. Did you have the truck/suv tuned after installing the new kit. You must have to tuned, and they'll have to tune in the new small parameters of the cam phaser.
Should loctite be used on those bolts?
That limiter can be use with original camshaft ?.
Some facers are 62 degrees and others 52 degrees right?.
Very well explained. Thanks for the video.
Am I really the only one that does star pattern anymore?
It won't throw any codes ?

@@Shoptoolreviews appears my order did have it. So it’s installed …. Close call I was nervous. 😂😂
2:40 Sir what size bit are you using, what is it called 🤔
That's a Torx bit. I'm not sure of the size. Probably T25 or T30.
I guess cam gear balance is of no concern?
How many ft lb torque??
Torque for what?
@@Shoptoolreviews on reinstalling the torx bits
Can’t Ecu programming do this as well? Or only
Mechanical?
The ECU can handle some static timing but it can't eliminate the variable valve timing. This is actuated by a spring and oil pressure.
I am getting code p0011 after installing this kit. Any advice??

No I did not tune after installing the kit , the comp cam website said not tune needed with stock camshaft, I have factory camshaft
I have been fighting the Poo11 code since 2 years now check the wiring on the plug they do break and did you use a new camshaft bolt?
Yes new bolt on camshaft ( actuator and selenoid) new
@@aramishernandez6109 Did you ever figure it out?
Just bought a new gm sprocket the spring came apart anyone know how to put it back together lol.
Are you old enough to remember cassette tapes? The old pencil trick?! Maybe that will work. Thanks for watching.
@@Shoptoolreviews O figured it out was a little more complicated than a cassette tape.
