Well worth the price. Much higher highs and mids than other "gaming" headphones I have. Regarding bass, it's definitely not a fake muddy bass, but very clean.
I have used VoiceMeter to add some EQ and with that, I have been able to richen up the low end and tame the harshness out of the highs. I have the 80 OHM version, which has a LONG straight cable instead of the coiled. I like the length. It worked out perfect to route under my desk and up my mic arm. I have them plugged into the back of my mic (Q9U) and it has enough power to drive the 80 OHM drivers and also deliver no-delay mic monitoring.

You did mention it but a couple more examples would've been nice like tell an example of how far you could hear footsteps and maybe a small comparison to other headphones so we could see an idea of how great or not great these headphones are just to compare to give us an idea! I own the 250ohm version, I haven’t gamed with them yet. In fact I barely used them yet, I mainly use my audeze penrose or nova pro wireless. I haven’t tried these with a dac amp yet (I have a soundblaster g6 and soon a qudelix 5k or fiio btr5) either, so I haven’t even heard their full potential yet.
Beyerdynamic does make replacement wires, but you have to screw the entire cup open and solder them in - best to let a professional do it, that's what i'm about to do.

I'm pretty convinced the songs in which DT 990 and also DT 880 sound sharp are just poorly recorded. Its never been an issue in games or movies for me. Just certain songs. These are professional headphones meant to pick up mistakes in the recording, so while they sound great they will also reveal any bad mixes or recordings in your music.

So I recently purchased these but instead I got the 80 ohm but when I was playing, my audio didn’t sound loud it’s sounded low and like I couldn’t really hear much, when I played music it didn’t sound as loud as well and I raised everything to mad volume not sure if it’s because of the ohm being 80 and not 250 idk need help

If you want a bass monster, I'd rec the dt770 80 ohm. You're pretty much set for long time with the 2 headphones you have now though. Dope vid

Neither, you need an amp. Get 32ohm if you plug directly to motherboard
You need a amp source your computer is not strong enough to push the headphones really anything over 32 ohms is to strong
