I use these primarily with my Xbox series x (and ps5) remote (an easy way to amplify sound is to have remote plugged in to the console) I LOVE these headphones for games and movies. The Dolby atmos app makes everything sounds detailed and immersive. I had the 9500 but the bass was anemic, the bass in these are accurate. I also use klipsch the fives speakers when not using headphones. Good review could be a little more in depth with game examples, etc. keep it up
Do you need to have the remote plugged in to juice em up? Or can I have the controller wireless and just connect the headphones? I'm looking to get them for my series x
@@Themonions you can use them with your remote being wireless (however) sound will be slightly higher when plugged in

I had plantronics rig 500 "gaming" garbage that fell apart on me, I found a pair of SHP 9600 on sale for 68 dollars which is quite cheap in my country :)

I just got these. I tried them on csgo and I didn't think they sounded very good. I have some really old corsair voids and they sounded much better for gaming.

I got a pair of these for $50 bucks. I am almost completely uneducated on headphones but I can tell they might be a little "muddy" but more importantly they sound very quiet for what I would call expensive headphones.
So my question is do I really need to get an amp for these for them to sound right? Or am I just going deaf
because they require more power so an audio interface or a dedicated amp is required for it to sound better

You should try the Neotek amp it’s $34 on Amazon I use to use that amp when I first got started & it powered my Philips X2HR’s & my SHP9500’s no problem 👍🏿

Shp 9600 have no mic so you have to buy a mic. Attachment so so are spending more money

The dt 990 pros are a better headset. Better build and quality sound.
The 9600 is very close to the store 990 pro. I’m bass but not highs. The 990 pros highs are more like the 9500. But it can hurt you for longer use. 990 pro aren’t good for casual listening or gaming. Not saying you can’t. They are made for music production. You won’t enjoy using them for what most would use them for.

I bought the shp9600 for 82 euro's from AliExpress. Looking forward gaming with it anyway. BF and Cod are gonna be a blast with the extra bass!
They are very good headphones. But if you already have the a9500’s for gaming it’s not worth it

They're pronounced S-H-P not ship. They are the one the best budget cans on the market but no where near 'king of gaming headphones', You'd have to spend well over $1000 to get into 'king' territory.
Seriously lol I know how they are pronounce I’m not say s-h-p 9500 or 9600 30 times in a video and it’s the “king of gaming”because no 1000 dollar headphone can plug into a controller. You would need a amp correct which is not going to work on all console all amps won’t work. I didn’t say king of headphones I said gaming

While I agree they are king of budget headphones they cant compete with something like the hifiman sundara with a boompro or HD600 with modmic wireless on a controller. If it's pc gaming then sky's the limit. The "ship" just threw me cause I've never heard anyone call them that before.
I agree but most gamers won’t pay 300-500 for headphones for gaming. In the audiophile world that’s cheap but we talking gaming. Of course we can argue. The 58x are 300 dollars cheaper that the 650 but sound very close. But we are gaming gaming companies aren’t adding that little details like in music that you would really benefit from with higher in headphones. It really starts to sound weird lol because you can start hearing the imperfections
