    I bought the SHP9600 and the HD560S for me and my brother and we DEFINITELY preferred the comfort from the SHP9600. We had the same issue as stated in this video wherein the back upper half of the headphone clamped significantly more which didn't exist for the SHP9600. I found that I needed to adjust the HD560S from time to time unlike the SHP9600 which I barely touched after putting them on.

    ChuckoBoy, i tried both the Fidelio X2hr and the Hifiman He4xx. On the Vocal department, which is very important to me, the Fidelios sometimes had the vocals a little muddy and far away from you, yet i still preferred them over the He4xx because on the x2hr the vocals are presented in front of you, making it easy to focus on them, and on the He4xx you have some type of "holographic" feeling, where the vocals are somehow between you, where i just couldn't focus on the vocals on it at all. I really disliked it, when im enjoying my songs i like to concentrate on the vocals and be immersed on the surround with all the instruments.
    Are the vocals on the Hifiman Sundara similar to those on the he4xx?

    • @chuckolatte600
      @chuckolatte600  3 года назад +1

      I can't remember tbh, but I want to say that vocals are better on the Sundaras. I personally have far less complaints with the Sundaras overall than with the HE-4XX

      @@chuckolatte600 thanks man! can i ask you a final request (at least for now hehehe)? can you listen to "Tick-Tock, from Hans Zimmer" on the Fidelio X2hr and Sundara and say which one do you prefer and find more engaging and "emotional"? of course, both with your preferencial EQ, i want them on their possible best.
      Maybe on the Ananda too if you still have it. I know that you cannot stand the Highs on it but im very interested on this headphone for the future. You said that the Sundara dont have the rumble that the Ananda and Arya have, but with EQ can you change it?
      Btw do you think that changing the Ananda's or Sundara's headband for the Arya headband will make it more comfortable? i mean, the Egg-earcup shape and pads are almost the same on the Ananda, soo probably the clamp problem is on the headband. And the Sundara, well, people say thats already comfortable but more comfort with swivel earcups is always better xD
      Sorry for bothering you! Prices are quite high on my country soo i need to be veeery careful. The Minimum month salary here converted is $180, and taxes makes everything imported costs 2x more. Sundara for example costs $700, which means 3.8x month salaries.

While I don't have any other open-back headphones to compare with, the bass is bloated and undefined in relation to my Audio Technica ATH-MSR7(I realize this is not fair comparing closed-back vs open back). I have both HD560s and SHP9500. I can't use the Sennheiser without intervals to relieve the pressure against my skull, while I can listen to music on the Philips for hours without even touching the phone to adjust something. The sound difference is so subtle that I tend to choose Philips over Sennheiser, just because of the clamping force.
