Michael Anthony is cool af! I was manager of a Maui Tacos restaurant in Hawaii on Maui and Mad Anthony came in with his wife and family. I comped his lunch and hooked him up with some of our bottled hot sauces and a few t-shirts and hats. The next day he comes back with an autographed photo and a sweet VH t-shirt. He says, "thanks for the food, hot sauce and swag yesterday." Mr. Anthony, you're a class act and thanks for the awesome experience of meeting you and your family!
That made me smile, he seems like a genuinely nice guy. Amazing backup vocals too. This whole band are top notch musicians in each of their crafts!!!!!
our generation was so spoiled with amazing concerts! actual live performances, people playing their instruments for real.. not just singers dancing to a recording
We were spoiled, & I, for one, feel very blessed to have seen the OU812 tour at Arrowhead stadium. The music was so much better back then. As was everything else. RIP Eddie. You are missed.
Agree! Went to this show 3x and was absolutely blown away. This was their prime. Everyone was just all in sync and on fire. Miss these days. Wasn't expensive either.
Every time, anywhere. Echoing through the halls of infinity in heaven along with all the other legends that had passed well before them, along with John "Bonzo" Bonham, the eternal god of thunder. Thor? No, Bonzo. 🤘
Flawless performance? Read the Wiki. The entire thing was re-recorded in the studio because Eddie was out of tune and when they fixed that, Hagar's vocals were messed up so he had to re-record the entire show in a studio booth.

Michael Anthony is very under-rated, as a bassist and even more as back-up vocal. His high-pitch voice brings all the spice needed in every songs. What an amazing band!
He is definitely one of the best bassist and most incredible back up singer any band could ever have. Alex a all time great for his skills . What a run they had.much respect to Eddie he definitely on top of the world. Sammy, the greatest what' can u say
Yep, Michael Anthony saved David Lee Roth's ass in that era. Sammy sounded great live...DLR was shit live....unless you loved his goofy antics on stage. Personally, I never cared for any of that BS....give me some quality live vocals and music !!
@@jimmyjackx8174 I don't know about this one, but I saw Van Halen twice. Wichita, KS May 1995 and then June in Kansas City 1995. So good had to go twice!

This show really makes justice to Michael Anthony. If you listen to it with good speakers or headphones, you will note how solid Mikey really was on his groove. Love it.
But Eddie said he had to video record the bass parts. So Michael Anthony knew how to play bass on ALL of their songs... EVH was a jump. And his brother is an fn Moron!!!
This is what happens when a band is hitting on all cylinders. Sounding incredible live, not missing a note. Each and every member is doing their part perfectly. Eddie is the best, but Sammy sounds incredible live; even today at 72 years old. Alex is one of the best drummers to sit behind a kit and Mikey with the thundering bass while hitting those high notes just make this one monster band. Glad the boys mended fences before Ed's passing. RIP Ed. Rock on guys!
@@Iknowthelaw13 I would question & confirm how much of this was "remixed" as you say, in the studio, after the fact. Van Halen was very well known for not liking to do much of that.
Anyone who loved Van Halen has to love Michael Anthony and hate what they did to him. He was as valuable in their rise to fame as any of the other band members. He also held it together personally through all the rock and roll days, his health, his marriage.....so much respect for this guy.
There was no need for the brother's to treat Michael Antony the way the done so. It had to be because he and Sammy Hagar got along through it all. Besides Eddie being the best guitar player in the world Michael Anthony was the best for keeping up with him. All it took was a new manager to come in and tell Eddie to get his band back from Sammy Hagar. Which was straight up bullshit. After he kick Sammy and Michael Anthony out of the band he went no where. Sammy continued writing album's after album's. With Michael Anthony. They took Michael Anthony's rights to play any VH song but they did count on him being Sammy Hagar bass player ,Don't forget Sammy wrote most of these songs with Eddie. EDDIE didnt go far when he got back with Roth and his song. Sammy Hagar was the final piece of Van Halen

You hear that? You feel that? That's called happiness, and fun. Two things we've seemingly forgotten how to have in this day and age. It's not right that this kind of music stays in the past, we need it now more than ever.
@@MikeLewis1964 no, kinda the other way around if that makes sense? They fixed live mistakes etc in the studio so the audio is almost studio quality. Ultimately the video track is the earlier recorded material. I'd say it was worth it.
I can’t believe that the King passed away one year ago… It’s hard to believe that Eddie is dead… this man will continue to live forever thanks to his music. Trust in god, have faith, I will meet you again Eddie… but in the other side…
I have TOO MUCH to say here, man ❤️ I’m not a Sammy Vs Dave guy. Sammy and Dave vs Gary, maybe...haha. Great, iconic music was made with both lineups. Having said that, this era here, in my opinion, is probably the best and most polished these guys have ever sounded. Eddie’s guitar tone is just freakin ridiculous. And as a drummer, I continue to express my disappointment at how criminally under-appreciated Alex Van Halen is. He’s the one dude that not nearly enough drummers bring up in conversation. He’s in the top 10 rock hitters of all time, far as I’m concerned. Just really sucks how these relationships fell apart. It’s the one last reunion we all wanna see.
let me help you bruh. i grew up with dave before the internet. had there been internet dave would have destroyed VH with his azz clown demenor. Hagar is an actual legit front man not some azz clown game show host ... we thought DLR was the koolest because we couldn't see what a complete dipshit he was ... i got the 84 tour tee shirt from bilouxi. can't believe i was pissed when dlr left ...
Saw the guys play in Melbourne in the era of this concert, got to meet the band, one of the highs I'll never forget, I'm near 60 now and still play this loud and love it like I did 40yrs ago... thanks VH, RIP Eddie you'll always be the man!
Not only was Eddie a great guitarist/musician, he blazed the path that thousands if not millions if future guitarists would follow. Sure, there are people that play faster, but he was the complete package and was doing this before it was "cool" to do so. He is sorely missed today and will be for decades to come.
In my opinion this sounds looks like Led Zeppelin so it was led Zeppelin who influenced everyone who does this bluesy rock and roll with a great singer.
Michael Anthony's high harmony is world class. Absolutely ridiculous his range; to be able to get above Sam and harmonize is just a fantastic gift. And he can still do it. Not too sure about these notes here from 30+ years ago, but he still has that high harmony. And just a great guy!

according to Sammy's book, he had to re-record the whole concert in the 5150 studios because the Van Halen brothers edited some parts (tuning issues and not keeping the tempos right.)
@@8Junio76 couldn’t tell anything was off while watching live. They played awesome and the crowd was crazy. So if that’s the case no one there knew about it.
i saw them with sammy at the save mart center back in '06 and while that was during ed's more darker times the concert was still off the charts! im just so glad i at least got to see him before he passed away!
I worked event security at the civic center in Tallahassee FL in the fall of 1991 winter of 1992 and stood in front of stage left for the sound check and the entire Van Halen show. The sound check went on for at least an hour and was the entire set list. Sammy came out about half way through. It was like a private concert followed by a public concert when the audience came in. Once in a lifetime experience.

I was so pissed when DLR left in the mid eighties. I wouldn't listen to the Hagar albums until F.U.C.K. came out. I loved every song on it so I had to see what I was missing. When Hagar left after Balance I was even more pissed than I was When Roth left. 25 years on the world has lost VH forever and 8 months ago we lost the greatest guitar player of all time, and I'd give my left arm to have VH back no matter who was singing. R.I.P. Ed. Thank you for bearing your heart and soul every time you picked up a guitar. We will never forget you.

My dad had this on VCR tape when I was a kid growing up in the 90s. I remember setting up a bunch of stuffed animals in the living room & putting on a concert with this playing in the background. Great times lol. But man looking back on this now, I’m amazed at how tight they sounded as a band here. Every single member is just incredibly on point. I’m not a massive VH fan but they will forever be etched into my childhood memories & I have love for them. RIP Eddie Van Halen 🎸🎶
I wouldn't argue that this is the best era of Van Halen. It just is. Grown Men at the top of their game. And still having fun like teenagers. Professional as hell. You can't argue. This is the best of Van Halen Right Here Right Now
1:13:25 you hear that Ed? Dude called you one of the best friends he's ever had in his life. I suggest you sweep all the past BS under the rug and hug it out. Life is short guys.
@@nightstalker2217 I don't blame Eddie for brushing him off. He is embarrassed by Sammy as they wasted a lot of good years to where they could have recorded more incredible stuff with DLR. First 3 tunes OK but when they start doing garbage like "When It's Love" and puke like "Right Now" it just goes to show that this version of the band should have never made it to the 90's. The songs mostly blow and I think it's time to fast forward to Diamond Dave and Wolfie with "Different Kind of Truth". The REAL Van Halen. All muscle. Not this weak shit.
Alex Van Halen one of his greatest solo's . When he spoke about his dad telling him to always play like its your last teared me up. Loosing your parents is the first cut by that sword. i miss my parents everyday not being able to puck up the phone and call is such a loss thankful i have a daughter who lives down the street The older we get the more family means too you
This would have been a fantastic live video if they had worn the same clothes both nights !! Many bands are filmed over 2 nights for a video, but they don’t change from yellow to red and back every 2 seconds. It causes seasickness to watch it
What the 535 people that unliked this video need to understand is this. This music right here. This is real music. Not the crap of today. These guys knew how to rock it and rock it hard. Eddie Van Halen rewrote the rules of the electric guitar. In fact I truly believe he rewrote the rules of Rock N' Roll forever
Maybe the fact that everything was overdubbed and fixed in the studio may have a reason to do with some of the dislike...? By the time they finished the "sweetening" it was literally a studio album w/ all new vocals in addition to massive drum overdubbing and eddie's parts. I know they are far from the first and far from the last to do this but still it sucks especially from a band you love.
It is Great that e can watch this on TV. I have an 850 watt system and a Big TV and it sounds awesome. It's a powered mixer. Our band broke up and I used the equipment to use it for playback and it is very good. Van Halen Rocks.
@@muurimc I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this either lol I bought it on VHS when it came out in 1993. No RUclips back then so the only concert (full concert) footage there was of Van Halen prior to this was Live Without a Net. That was good but it was only 90 minutes because they had technical difficulties and weren’t able to record the entire concert. Also it was their 1st album with Hagar so they didn’t have a lot of material yet. So when this came out to finally see a full Van Halen concert on video was absolutely mind blowing. Only complaint is that the director used 2 nights of footage and combined them so it throws you off sometimes when Hagar is wearing 1 shirt and then the next second another shirt. Eddie and Mike were smart and wore the same outfit both nights apparently lol Overall though this is an awesome F.U.C.K.ing show!
I've seen the band with both Roth and Sammy - with Sammy they just seemed to play with more abandon, were tighter, and had more punch - and seemed to have more fun ! The band knew Sammy was going to deliver every night and just kicked it in behind him - Dave was entertaining but with Sammy the band were ... musicians !
I like both Roth and Hagar, but no denying Hagar was a better singer and talent. Roth was more about being a frontman and showmanship, which worked too. At this point, the band was done with games and just wanted to be about music, and Hagar was a great fit for that.
Every time I see this man onstage my heart breaks all over again. I remember being 17 years old walking into the record shop and hearing Running With The Devil. I looked at the clerk and said, “who the fuck is THIS?!”. She replied, “New group, Van something or other”. I bought the album immediately and have been hooked ever since. I never met Eddie but I feel like I lost my best friend. He was there for me in good times and bad for the last 40+ years. I will never get over his passing.
Tell me about it! I was a senior in HS and was blown away by the debut album. I'm a guitar player (not even f***in close to that G-D) and worshipped the grounds he walked on since 78. RIP the greatest (in my generation) since Hendrix.
Love Sammy's response to playing old Van Halen. "Things that aren't understood..Don't need to be discussed"....Ed's solo is not just Eruption... That was a combination of "316" "Cathedral", "Spanish fly" ,, And "Eruption " with some improvisation of a "Feedback Solo".."Mean Streets".. with a Dash of "Intruder"...By Far..The GREATEST ON STAGE GUITARIST EVER !! ⚡🎸
if you watch all the videos of eddie as he progresses you will notice that he adds those little bits to every solo spot but he NEVER shy'd away from throwing some improv into the mix to keep things fresh. if there's anything i ever learned from ed as a guitar player is to NEVER be afraid to try new things, even if you fall flat on your face live you just pick yourself back up and keep going.
@@musek5048 That's just one of the things that made him such a Guitar Guru. He had the ability to get sounds and tones out of a guitar that were clean and crisp like no one else of that time. If you heard his guitar, you knew who was playing it. Their concerts were so much better than their albums. Instead of being a structured song..."He was free to improv, and actually play "In the Moment".. "The stage"..That's where this Star Shined the Brightest. ⚡🎸
@@lakeliving2013 ah back when the concerts were the whole point of an album, so you could get a tiny taste of the amazing spectacles that many bands would pull off. now we have such amazing tools and techniques to make "perfect" sounding music but look how stale most pop music has gotten. there's something to be said about the magic that the older decades offered through each era's music.
Saw Sammy and his Circle of Higher Spirits tour with Michael, Joe Satrianie and Jason Bonham in Charlotte Friday night. Tons of Van Halen songs. Awesome show. They really payed respect to what Eddie and Alex created. Sounded almost like the Van Halen years and at times better if that's possible. So glad they're keeping the VH music alive.
By far the best line up for Van Halen. Sammy can sing his ass of and is by far a better front man than David. It's pretty sad when your front man can't remember the lyrics to his own songs because he was too trashed. Sammy was the man no doubt.
Xavier Vega agreed. but name one band, where their 4th or 5th (or whatever it was) album was stellar. cept maybe pink floyd, and the beatles -queen. eddie kinda was done "giving to the world of virtuoso rock guitar" by the time sammy came along. it's all listenable tho, i enjoy it, even the new chickenfoot stuff

With Van Hagar, Sammy has the ability to write songs that have "real" meaning that matters. He also knows how to grab everyone's attention with his energy, confidence, and humbleness. We become mesmerized by it, especially those who understand and have experienced what he has. That experience is a forbidden and ridiculed topic to most and that in itself will keep this masterpiece fresh. Even Pantera almost hired him to front. David Lee Roth was a showman, without a doubt. On the other hand, Sammy brought a level of musicality and musicianship to VH that made the sum greater than its individual parts. Sammy could (really) sing, could add a second guitar occasionally, and brought greater depth to the songwriting. For me, the "Van Hagar" period was the band's high point.
I disagree. I think part of what made VH so great initially was the combo of music and the crazy wild character of DLR. He was such a showman. His voice had as much character as he did. It took everything to another level entertainment-wise.
@@t.brooks5082 There are a lot of DLR fans that would agree with you, but I really believe that if Dave had stayed in the band they wouldn't have gone on much longer and Eddie wouldn't have had the freedom to keep developing his musical range the way that he did. Roth had amazing showmanship but he was pretty limited in his vocal range and his voice gave out as he got older. The last couple of tours before Eddie's death really showed how poor Dave's voice had become. Eddie wrote music from 5150 on that Dave never could have sung to, and Sammy brought a higher level of vocal ability to the table that let them both expand the sound of the band. Also, the ego battle between Dave and the VH Brothers was already toxic. Sammy helped them hit the reset button on the band balance and brought friendship until Eddie's addiction issues crept in to sour things a decade later. I'll always be a DLR fan, but as a Van Halen fan I'm glad that Sammy joined them when he did.

The pinnacle of musical talent right here. Seen them live on this tour in Atlanta. What an amazing concert. RIP Eddie, your guitar genius will forever be missed by those who appreciated it. 🤟🤟
Eddie is a rock and roll guitar god. Best in the world for fills and acrobatic guitar solos. Its the way he plays with the other players which is unmatched or dam hard to find. Never a hole in the playing the whole song, it sounds like he's soloing in between lines and during pause's in the vocals. Just incredible to listen to, and don't get me started on the base, singing and drums. Just incredible group at its prime!
Eddie "used" to be this person. It's sad to see that he may have forgotten what this was all about. This tour was kinda his swan song as a rock n roll guitar extrordinaire.
EVH is the complete package. His rhythm of unmatched. He is so smooth. There are folks that are technically better. Eddie has a musical ear that no one can match. He sounds so good. When you put that together with his rhythm and solo work - the one and only. So melodic.
I saw Van Halen live twice before 1980 and again at the 83 US festival. Many times since with Sammy. My favorite band of all time. I have plenty of personal memories with them that I will not share here. Great real true dudes. Miss you Eddie! One love ❤️
Having seen VH almost every tour since the mid 80s, I can say with confidence this was in fact their greatest tour ever, including besting the '12 tour with Dave. Everything about them during this time period was them at their pinnacle. I have never seen a band jel so well and be so tight musically.
On this tour, Van Halen was on top of the world. No band could follow them. This tour was probably when they were at their best during the Sam years, if not the history of the band.
This is what did it for me this concert right here I had the double best of album then my dad gave me this on dvd for my 13th birthday and I couldn't stop watching it just the sound and their playing it's unreal and of course they are all amazing I coudlnt take my eyes off ed. He's just from another planet. I know the roth stuff is great too but I absolutely loved the Sammy period especially the F.U.C.K and balance stuff and live with Sammy they were out of this world. I can't believe I'll never get to see him live . They were on my bucket list before I die However we will have the music that will never die Thanks Eddie RIP you legend
Very good words my friend they were at the top of there game on this tour no doubt about that the fuck tour and the balance album in my opinion is the best from the Sammy era and it doesn't get much love
You know what guys? I've listening ti Van Halen Music since 1984,,, I was 11yo, since then, I followed them. When I knew David was leaving the band, I felt that was the end. I bought the next album and did not think Samy was something bad for the band. Actually, I think that was the best thing could have happened to the band. I love VAN HALEN!!!
+Ricardo Sanchez I like both eras. Roth was never greatest singer, but he was a showman and that rubbed off on the creative element of the band. Van Halen were/are much more adventurous with Roth in the Band. Hagar is a better singer and Roth is so bad now, but the last album was much more musically creative than anything since 1984. I just think they should make up with Michael Anthony. He is a great guy. Nothing wrong with Wolfgang, but it is just wrong what they did to Michael.
+Ricardo Sanchez I saw VH in 1984, and DLR was mediocre at best. Diver down was his idea... and a pretty weak one. Sammy refreshed the band and led them to much bigger success. Sammy can sing RING around DLR and write better lyrics. Plays better guitar too. I was an INSTANT fan of 5150.
This is a pure KICK YOUR ASS concert. I remember 92 like it was yesterday....Thanks so much for taking the time to upgrade the production value and sound quality....Many thanks and much respect,
Watching this on my older brothers lazer disc as a kid is what got me into Van Halen. I was so blown away and watching Eddie play inspired me to pick up the guitar! RIP Eddie! Millions of lives wouldn't be the same without you!

There was no need for the brother's to treat Michael Antony the way the done so. It had to be because he and Sammy Hagar got along through it all.
That's one of the best solos Ed has ever did. That fkr is one talented human being on that Guitar
Van Halen live at their absolute best. Period.
Epic concert!!!!! Live and full of emotion that night!!!!!!
I didn’t like Van Hagar back in the day but there no doubt Hagar has a great voice!
I've seen the band with both Roth and Sammy - with Sammy they just seemed to play with more abandon, were tighter, and had more punch - and seemed to have more fun ! The band knew Sammy was going to deliver every night and just kicked it in behind him - Dave was entertaining but with Sammy the band were ... musicians !
John McLelland good take, I agree. Still prefer the Dave catalogue but Sammy clearly better live in every aspect. Love em both
yes-but you cannot argue Dave l Roth was more attractive.
I like both Roth and Hagar, but no denying Hagar was a better singer and talent. Roth was more about being a frontman and showmanship, which worked too. At this point, the band was done with games and just wanted to be about music, and Hagar was a great fit for that.
I prefer the DLR collection of albums, but I do agree they were better live with Sammy.
When I was 10 years old I found a Van Halen cassette in the local bar parking lot! I played it and my Love of Van Halen started and will never end!
Tell me about it! I was a senior in HS and was blown away by the debut album. I'm a guitar player (not even f***in close to that G-D) and worshipped the grounds he walked on since 78. RIP the greatest (in my generation) since Hendrix.
Thanks for sharing. I wondered if I was the only one feeling quite like that.
Me too brother, me too.😢
Thought I was the only one. Sometimes I have to just stop the video or song i'm playing because it hurts so damn much
Love Sammy's response to playing old Van Halen. ⚡🎸
You're *RIGHT* 👍
if you watch all the videos of eddie as he progresses you will notice that he adds those little bits to every solo spot but he NEVER shy'd away from throwing some improv into the mix to keep things fresh. if there's anything i ever learned from ed as a guitar player is to NEVER be afraid to try new things, even if you fall flat on your face live you just pick yourself back up and keep going.
@@musek5048" I love the stage. Albums are just a vehicle for us to play for you live." EVH QUOTE.
Too bad Eddie got so damn sappy with his songwriting. Even Sammy got tired of It eventually.
Better singer, yes. Better frontman, no.
Hugh Kingsley The Cherone lineup was hands down the Best Ever!!! Jk
I totally agree Hugh. the Red Rocker was the best frontman in the band. DLR never did a thing for me.
... and here I am again 4 months later, but this time without Edward. RIP friend.
Rest in peace brother. We'll miss you😢
Rest in Peace My first Guitar hero ....
A legend among legends. Such a sad day in music.
@@trurockrevivalmagazine3359 It's very sad day for me... I still remember when i heard his music first time in the radio when i was 16 years old. Then i started to learn guitar playing. Because of *HIM*
My first guitar hero😭
😟😞
With Van Hagar, Sammy has the ability to write songs that have "real" meaning that matters. He also knows how to grab everyone's attention with his energy, confidence, and humbleness. We become mesmerized by it, especially those who understand and have experienced what he has. That experience is a forbidden and ridiculed topic to most and that in itself will keep this masterpiece fresh. Even Pantera almost hired him to front. And Davd Lee Roth knew how to replicate Jim Dandy, jump, do the splits, and make people not stand him. It's not even a case but if it was, Case closed!!!!
I can't believe the news it's shocking... Eddie has been in most of are lives for over forty years...I'm in years it's like loosing a family member...he was and always will be the best...rip brother.
I was just saying the same to myself - like losing a family member. Last 30 years or so, Have been waking up to check what Eddie is up to. How hollow inside it felt last two days, I can’t tell you.
devastated
I along with many others have lost a mentor and what feels like a friend. Be well to each other.
Oh thank gawd I'm not the only one that feels this way! I feel like an old friend that I fell out of touch with, passed away. 💔
@Lisa Evans we lost 2 many greats Ronnie James Ronnie montrose Leslie west evh Jon lord Lee kerslake Neal from rush seems like every 4 months or so in the last 5 6 years my idols are going Gary Moore 1 of my favorites also
"When it's love" has the best intro to any song that has been written. Those chords Hit me right here ♥️.
Eddie Van Halen soloing alone was the electric guitar version of J.S bach. RIP man.
When I'm Down I know where to go to get me back up !!!! 56 Years Old And Still ROCKING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! R.I.P. Eddie
yes indeed when I need a kick start, its usually the dreams song, as seen here or with the blue angels !!!!
I'm note the biggest van halen fan but this live Is beyond human...
Every band member at his best
Amazing songs
Unreal sound
The definition of a cool rock band
A Ball of bursting energy, simply MESMERIZING
It'Is a Classic Forever
@@torontojoek Well said. I'm a total VH nut. I just love ALL THEIR MUSIC 🎶. Love DLR AND SAMMY. I totally agree with what you said. I still listen each day and miss The King each day.
God Bless brother and stay healthy always 🙏💯..
Sammy is not a showman,,,,,,, Think about that ..... We will all wait..................................................
@@crueheadone6977 DLR is not a vocalist. Think about that..Show me a VH concert with Roth that sounded better than this one. The rest of us will wait…🤨
Pure magic! Too much talent in this iconic band!
Eddie's solo was beyond words can describe, just sit down, close your eyes and listen.
Eddie signature is horse sound floyd rose.
No words needed... Their music speaks for itself. Gives me goosebumps!! ⚡️🎸
@@lakeliving2013 The best way to say it. 👍🏻
The pinnacle of musical talent right here. Seen them live on this tour in Atlanta. What an amazing concert. RIP Eddie, your guitar genius will forever be missed by those who appreciated it. 🤟🤟
Well said bro, R.I.P EVH.🤘
Van Halen was one of my top favourite band in the 80's. They were amazing... simply amazing... Sammy Hagar and DLR were both good...
I absolutely agree :)
Jean-Hugues W
Jean-Hugues Weber 》》》 totally agreed.. the greatest on earth.. always love to see their videos or cd.. blessed for them all...

This was a amazing tour. Eddie seemed so happy and played great when I saw them here in KC. RIP King 👑 Edward. Your going to be missed.
SharpZed THE ROCK GOD
Totally agree
just the way he carries himself with that guitar, you can only do that if it's an extension of your limbs and wired to your brain cells
AMEN.
On this tour, Van Halen was on top of the world. No band could follow them. This tour was probably when they were at their best during the Sam years, if not the history of the band.
Still listen to the live double album from this, while at work. We lost a giant of rock today. RIP EVH !!!
G'day when they were on same page whatever era eddie is flying 🎸🥁 they sound great at this particular gig and I dig em in general 🎤🎹🎸
They were on my bucket list before I die
However we will have the music that will never die
Thanks Eddie
RIP you legend
+Ricardo Sanchez
Your 100 % right, Van Halen Forever!!!
I still think Eddie was one of the greatest Guitar players on the Planet!
🥰 Without a doubt...EVH was a complete ORIGINAL 💯
He is definitely the Mozart of our time!
No doubt about it! I'm still in shock I still can't believe that that man is gone
Inspiration for every guitarist on the Earth
AGREE 100% !!!!!!!
This is a pure KICK YOUR ASS concert. I remember 92 like it was yesterday....Thanks so much for taking the time to upgrade the production value and sound quality....Many thanks and much respect,
Your kind words mean a lot to me. Thank You! Enjoy this unrepeatable masterpiece, their flawless legacy🙂
Watching this on my older brothers lazer disc as a kid is what got me into Van Halen. I was so blown away and watching Eddie play inspired me to pick up the guitar! RIP Eddie! Millions of lives wouldn't be the same without you!
Wow!!!!
man, i miss eddie and this band. i saw them 5 times over the years and loved every concert and wish i could have seen them many more times. van halen was always full throttle for the entire concert.
Eddie says: "Crank it up!!" One of his best quotes was: "You can't just play the tones and music... You have to feel them "PHYSICALLY" also". Still mourning you my friend. 😢⚡🎸
Wish I would’ve paid more attention to this era of Van Halen during this era.. saw them for the 5150 and a balance tour only. This era was pure magic. Dave had to go
Shred in peace Edward, you were my favorite and thank you for gifting us with your talent.. I will listen to your music for the rest of my days.
This is a priceless gem to be available for the world to see. I only wish I could have been at this show.
it was 2 shows and they were as awesome as you think they are!
They sound amazing here. Very tight, and don't forget, Sammy was in his 40's here. He wasn't any spring chicken and his voice is totally on point. Great stuff.
Chris J Yea man sammy was 44 years old and he nailed it. Saw this tour and all the rest of the tours as well! Sammy was totally under appreciated!
Chris J dlr could NEVER sing LIKE this performance !!! He is a wannabe at best. Sammy Hagar was the best vocalist Van Halen will EVER have.
***** WHAT are you guys talking about? A man has to hit 40 before he knows what he's doing.
+Chris J The concert was heavily....heavily overdubbed in the studio. Go read Sammy's book "Red" where he spends a whole chapter trashing this concert.
Wow bummer to hear that!
Great concert from start to finish I love the fact that their music is great from album to live and this concert was Awesome, gotta love Eddie and his SKILLS
Definitely he's in the top 3 guitarist ever to play "#1 my opinion" this is a must see if your a VAN HALEN FAN
💯👊🎸🎸
Too sad that Eddie is gone, but thank god we have all of these amazing memories - would love to have seen them live but watching this regularly reminds us Van Halen were the BEST and most incredible musicians - can never get enough!!
I feel so blessed to have been the right age to see Vanhalen in the early Roth years and then also experience the Sammy years... Eddie will go down in history as one of the top 3 best guitarist to ever walk the planet and to alot of us he is number one !!!
He's in my top 10
And now EDDIE gets to play with SRV IN HEAVEN. How good is that show? EPIC guitar sounds on HEAVENS STAGE for sure.
Bringing back amazing memories. Just turned 50 and this makes me feel like I'm in my early 20's again.
Thanks for posting the concert(s).
"What is understood doesnt need to be discussed" Eddie was the best guitar player this earth will ever have.
No Question There ,R.i.P Eddie !
He's 1 of quite a few I've seen
When some of the best guitar players besides Eddie state that Eddie was their influence, you know he was a GOD!
@@MandMs3of5 1 of a few that's 4 sure
He was so fluid and effortless. Not like a shred guy, more like a “feel” guy who has no technical limits. My favourite ever.
