    • @jsook
      @jsook 6 лет назад +4

      Jp Barale seriously? There are many other LZ live albums I would recommend as great guitar work before TSRTS. That was after Page’s prime and he was just going through the motions and playing very sloppily compared to his earlier work with the band

    • @jpbarale4536
      @jpbarale4536 6 лет назад +2

      @@jsook I don't think so. TSRTS, in my opinion it is the very best Zep official live album. It contains Page's best solo for Stairway To Heaven. Sloppy? Listen to that three minute masterpiece and you'll know what is means to play the guitar. I strongly recommend you to listen to the entire album again so you can tell wether or not it is one of the best guitar works in music history.

    • @jsook
      @jsook 6 лет назад

      @@jpbarale4536 Look I'm not here to hate on TSRTS, but I just listened to that Stairway to Heaven solo again, and yes I still think its incredibly sloppy. Page hits so many dead notes, and is off rhythm for many runs. He is literally just playing from memory, and although its still great, its not as clean as he usually plays. Listen to any of the live stuff before 1975ish, he literally hits every note PERFECTLY and is never even slightly off rhythm. Check out the BBC album, its remarkable. Again not hating on Page, I love him as much as the next guitarist, but TSRTS is not his best work by any means

The things this has done for my mental health would be almost impossible for me to explain, At the same time never give up on yourself everyone has a purpose on this Earth. He spent the entire concert making sure I was in front of him, and John sat right in front of me to play Under the Bridge on the stage like he does here and I couldn't believe it. The thing about the Chili Peppers is that somehow, these 4 tremendously gifted musicians ended up in the same band and developed such an unique dynamic that's impossible to find anywhere else. Every single one of them is incredibly good at what they do, but it's not as of they're fighting over who's the best, it's the way the energy of all of them together elevates their sound and performance and you don't really know where to look because you don't want to miss anything any of them is doing. It's actually crazy how life brought them together but i'm so grateful it happened!

In some cultures she is depicted as a lightbearer (statue of liberty); in other words Lucifer. There was a really nice moment that was edited out where John stops singing and playing and turns his back to the crowd for a moment in what seemed like embarrassment. He might have been struggling with the vocals perhaps. And then we (the crowd :) ) cheered him on to continue and he turned around again and finished it. I can see why they wanted to cut it but it's a pity as it really was a nice moment between him and the crowd.

      @@imcharming4808 It's all the jams and improv Frusciante brings to their live performances. Especially him and Flea, they can really get lost in it together, which is what they do here a few times. They seem to enjoy playing and bouncing ideas off each other, and make every song slightly unique from the album version. That jam they have before Californication is really something, you can tell it's not learned note for note and rehearsed, it's all just improv. I mean, I'm sure they had an idea to do this extended intro, but what they play is totally just them having a jam sesh bouncing off each other. These 2 made Chilies an iconic band of the 90s and 2000s. I could really go on and on about Frusciante for hours, who was my biggest inspiration to save up money to buy my first guitar and start learning it when I was only 13. I still play now 18 years later, and even work in audio production/engineering, he really is my icon and inspired me to get into music and pretty much shape my whole life/career around it. As I said, I could go on forever about him, but I'll spare you reading a massive wall of text haha

    Standing in line (that morning) to see the show that would happen later that night, I ate an actual chili pepper (the fruit/berry of the plant genus Capsicum) because someone was handing them out to everyone in the crowd...it burned so much!!! My mouth was literally on fire and I needed water so badly! But the only thing at hand was a straight up bottle of gin that one of my friends was holding....needless to say I took a big gulp of that gin and it only intensified the burn! It was just one of the great moments out of so many other great moments that day! Slane 2003 we saw Queens of the stone age, Foo fighters and a ton of other great artists before the chili peppers topped it off with this legendary performance! It's so nostalgic to come back and watch this gig every so often. I miss that day!...and I miss the friends that I shared it with ❤
