- It's been a while, hasn't it? I was about 13-16 when I first started uploading "rare soundtracks" to this channel. It's only natural that now, in my 30's, I'm a nut for lost/rare media. I come bearing gifts.
This is a childhood favorite of mine that I hadn't even realized was rare and was considered lost media until recently! I really appreciate the person who originally uploaded their Internet Archive version, but I wanted a version of this film with less tracking. So here it is recorded from my own collection!
The Real Story of the Three Little Kittens (1991)
"Tom, Dick and Harriet, a mischievous trio from Whiskers End, get more than they bargain for the day they skip school to play in the snow. Unfortunately, the kittens lose their way and wander into the Fearful Forest, domain of Freezelda the Ice Queen."
Spectrum Animation (an anime studios made up of many former TMS Entertainment animtors) was outsourced for much of this, so the characters have a lovely Sherlock Hound-esque look to them. Please feel free to use this footage in any reviews you make of the film! :)
I've been looking for this. I remember watching this at a relative's place and it has been in the back of my memory ever since
Thank you for uploading this, I remembered partly watching this after the real story of o Christmas tree on video.
I have been wanting to see this again for years!!!! 🤩
You seriously need to archive this. I've been looking for this all over the internet since 2020. I thought I was lost media up till now. Whoever you are, thank you so much. The last time I watched this was in 2006/07, childhood saved!
Finally, been looking for this as well... Although as I remember, I had a VHS with Polish "lektor".
Thank you for uploading this. I remember watching this on YTV at Christmas when I was very young. It was lost media for a long time. The only other version I'm aware of is on the internet archive and the image quality isn't great. It looks like this was probably animated in a Japanese studio, which was common for western cartoons in the 80s and 90s
✨😻✨Surprised how much I really liked this one, the animation is really good and really giving the feeling of something that could have become a great addition to other great cartoon series. The animation style/designs is very close/reminds me of the: Heathcliff and The Catillac Cats cartoon, early Care bears cartoons etc . Is it just me?✨😻✨
Oh wow! I remember watching this over and over again when i was a kid. I remember also having the real stories of the itsy bitsy spider, humpty dumpty, and the little teapot.Good times.😊
I really love the animation of this video special, it looks just like the animation used to make the 80s television show, "The Cadillac Cats".
Man! How did this special didn’t win a Emmy is beyond me!
Because it didn't aired in TV. It's released on video
A very good film! By the way, is this 1990 lost animated film also loosely based on an 1844 fairy tale of The Snow Queen by H. C. Andersen?...
This must have been one of "The Real Story of..." animated specials that were produced by CINAR and France Animation. They also worked on C.L.Y.D.E., which is an obscure French-Canadian cartoon from the early 90s that I would love to see more episodes of the day.
This was pretty good.
Craziest thing I ever watched.
Never heard of this
I remember this cartoon. Also, please find and upload The Real Story of The Itsy Bitsy Spider next.
It's been found & uploaded online by someone else. They uploaded their really nice rip of it on the Internet Archive website. :)
@Lekgolos I know but that upload keeps freezing up.
So, in essence, this is an anti child trafficking special. Ok
How’d you find this?
I legit grew up with this cartoon. :) My mom bought it for me on VHS back in the early 90s, probably some time around '93.
My question how they upload this on RUclips
To digitize VHS I use an RCA to HDMI converter, which I then hook up to an HDMI to USB video capture device. Then I record in OBS.
